06:35Well ladies and gentlemen, I'm especially excited to tell you that this week's challenge is to create a two-piece look for my new clothing line bitten

06:50The look that you're designing is for our fall winter collection
06:54The idea behind the line is about creating high-end
06:59American sportswear at affordable prices so giving every woman what she needs we believe that fashion shouldn't be a luxury and
07:07Quality shouldn't be a privilege as Sarah Jessica mentioned
07:11This two-piece outfit is about affordability and she means it the entire look must retail for less than $40
07:20Retail retail
07:22Retail as you know in fashion there's a big difference between the cost of raw materials and the retail price
07:29Accordingly your budget is fifteen dollars

08:35I definitely knew I wanted to do a dress and a really creative
08:40Jacket because they didn't want to copy any of the shapes that they already have done
08:47The first challenge like I sucked I still feel like I'm trying to prove myself
08:52I wanted Sarah Jessica Parker to like my outfit, so it was like all right

09:25I went with you know a basic top and then I did some maybe contrast top stitching to give it a little something

10:11So I noticed when I looked through the line there were no skirts really right?
10:15It's not heavy on the skirts. So I added a skirt great the back
10:20Yeah, we'll have like a little plaque in the back and follow the button story back there. So it's really a button story

11:19So I drew it like this this would be my second piece. I love the vest. Yeah, no, I do too
11:24Sort of a pullover cape silhouette women who are bigger wouldn't feel like this is too much of a tent
11:31Like a fitted cake not so yeah, that man. Okay, great
11:35The skirt would actually just be a very plain black knit
11:38So really classic right very simple very classic fantastic
11:43It was the idea of the shirt dress here
11:46We're pairing it up with tights a woman who's a size two can wear this yeah
11:49And she can get married and get pregnant take off the belt and still work

18:27I decided to have these two pieces the cape and the polymorphic dress
18:35And I understood that there would be a complete juxtaposition of our aesthetics

29:40Kate and i thought the outfit was really adorable we were kind of shocked at how well we had actually done
29:51We're sweating there in our seats but the way katie worked that dress was stunning
30:07I'm happily surprised i think our final look is great
30:12When lauren's walking in my garments i like it i feel good about it
30:33My garment definitely stood out from the other designers i thought it looked really expensive for the amount of money that we were given
30:43Granted we did have some problems with the fitting but the outfit's charming honestly
30:57I really believed in the dress i loved the colors i loved the fabric choice i was really happy
31:02I thought it looked expensive very chic i think the other designers knew that it was really strong
31:19I'm not nervous on this one it is a little on the risque side but i can't imagine that the outcome is going to be horrible
31:26The dress looked amazing of course i always feel like i wish i had more time but i was proud of myself i was proud that the look came together

32:49Victoria i like very much the sketch because there was a simplicity about it that's very very appealing but
32:55My concern was how do you make it interesting and i think you did a really good job of that

33:35I think it's a nice idea but i think the proportions are really awkward
33:39What is the fabric this is a knit i think what actually happened was
33:44This fabric sort of stretches as you work with it it looks a bit costumey a little pocahontas like all she needs is like a headband and a feather

33:54I thought that the sketch was very sophisticated and it feels like it maybe
33:59Stops a little short of what the intentions of the sketch were
34:02I think the arm holes are a little bit too drapey on the side you can see a bra which is always a little bit
34:07Well, yeah, i can't figure out really how would you wear it
34:10I have to say i don't get it at all it looks like out of the basement it looks dirty
34:15It looks like a rag to me and the proportion really is tough it's a tough one

34:27I really like how the dress looked when she walked i thought it was sexy and yet appropriate

34:36It's polymorphic which means that it can be worn infinite numbers of ways
34:40Just curious how the partnership broke down and how you all work together
34:44I was super nervous and i didn't really understand her language i don't even know what polymorphic means
34:50She does not use the type of tools the rest of us are used to using
34:54Sometimes i spit market which seems to be really disturbing to my fellow
34:58you should not tell people that
35:01i mean you know people might not like that that their dress has been spit on when they buy it
35:05what planet are you from
35:08the planet where i am is one that has been trained to respond purely to materials
35:12and doesn't necessarily know the language but knows how to make it work on the body and so
35:16i'm coming to your planet but with gifts

37:53whole is versatile and beautiful you had two interesting pieces here it's a simplicity that's
38:00really interesting to me to see what she can do with it i don't know about you guys but for me the
38:07pocahontas dress was not wrong it was homeless it was like out of the basement it looked it looked
38:12dirty i think it looked sad it was very sad imagine if you were five three what that would look like
38:18yeah because in it just like it just was executed so poorly to me they were going for hermes
38:24its great flaw is that it's become sloppy bohemian the whole thing just sort of impl it was a house of
