00:01Previously on Project Runway.
00:03For your next challenge, you will be designing for a pop culture and fashion icon.
00:12Sarah Jessica Parker?
00:15This week's challenge is to create a two-piece look for my new clothing line, Bitten.
00:21Oh, it's already wet.
00:23I know, I just did a spit mark.
00:25And you spit on it?
00:26What is going on?
00:29I'm not quite sure what else to do.
00:31It's just getting really kind of ugly.
00:38Congratulations, Victoria.
00:40You are the winner of this challenge.
00:43This is very fashion 80s.
00:47Marion, you're out.
00:53The winner of Project Runway will receive a spread in Elle magazine,
00:56an opportunity to sell their line on bluefly.com,
00:59an all-new 2008 Saturn Astra,
01:02and $100,000 to start their own line.
01:04Furnished by Tresemme Professional Hair Care.
01:07This is Project Runway.
01:09Let's go.
01:10Hell yes, I'm the best.
01:11You're either in or you're out.
01:13I'm in, they're out.
01:15I'm going to be caught dead in his clothes.
01:17Fashion is my life.
01:18Who will be the next big fashion designer?
01:20That's me.
01:21Bottom line, I'm the best.
01:23I will own the runway.
01:25For these 15 designers, Project Runway is a chance of a lifetime.
01:30You're nice and easy, isn't he, here?
01:43Being here on Project Runway, it's an experience of a lifetime.
01:47I have been HIV positive for 17 years, and I've never been healthier.
01:51It wasn't an easy road to get here.
01:53So for me, the ultimate goal is really to make it to Brown Park.
01:57What do you think Marion's doing?
02:00It's so upsetting.
02:01I don't even want to think of it.
02:02I know.
02:03Why couldn't they just get rid of Christian?
02:04Nobody would have cried.
02:07Did you hear that, Christian?
02:13You know what?
02:14You would be so bored if I left.
02:17I know.
02:18Believe me, we know.
02:20After almost being eliminated, I'm not as confident as I was before,
02:24but I just know that I make clothes so much better than a lot of the other designers.
02:28Let's go, you guys.
02:31Hi.
02:32Hi.
02:33You won't be needing your models for the next challenge.
02:49Uh-oh.
02:50What does that mean?
02:52This challenge is a first for Project Runway.
02:56I'm sending you on a field trip.
02:59Tim is waiting for you at 10 Rockefeller Plaza, where you find out about your challenge.
03:04The speculation started running wild.
03:06We were like, uh-oh, what are we going to have to do?
03:09All right, let's get going.
03:10Chop, chop.
03:11I'll see you on the runway.
03:13We are ushered in to 10 Rockefeller Plaza in the middle of New York City,
03:22and Tim is there waiting for us.
03:25Hi, everybody.
03:26Please follow me.
03:28All the designers were like, what?
03:30What is it?
03:31What could it be?
03:36Who's standing there but Tiki Barber, one of the best running backs that the Giants ever had.
03:41Oh, my God.
03:44Designers, I am honored to introduce Tiki Barber, legendary running back for the New York Giants,
03:50and now a correspondent for the Today Show.
03:52Tiki is going to present your challenge.
03:57None of us really know who he is, but wow, you know, he's gorgeous.
04:00I know nothing about football except that it's probably the one time on television where spandex is acceptable.
04:08It's good to see all of you.
04:10Your challenge is to design an outfit for me to wear on the Today Show.
04:1590% of the designers were dying, and menswear.
04:21The tailoring is just so meticulous, and there's so much work to do, and detail work, and oh.
04:27Now, I have particular challenges when you try to outfit me because my neck is so big, my waist is skinny, but I have a big butt, and clothes don't fit me exactly right.
04:39And so my wife and I have spent a lot of time trying to figure out what looks good on me.
04:44We like dark colors, but I also like patterns, and texture, and depth.
04:48It doesn't necessarily have to be a suit, but it does have to be something that's comfortable.
04:53Do you guys have any questions?
04:55Do you like little, like, subtle details?
04:57I love details. It conveys a personal style.
05:00What are your favorite, like, colors in your favorite outfit?
05:04I'm not afraid of color. I'll wear pink sometimes, I'll wear pastels, as long as it accents the whole outfit.
05:11Tiki, thank you so much. Thank you.
05:13We look forward to seeing you on the runway.
05:14I'm excited. I'm looking forward to seeing you on the runway.
05:15I'm looking forward to see what you guys do.
05:22Right here is good. Thank you. Oh, perfect. What a good ride.
05:28All right, everybody. You will have 30 minutes to sketch.
05:33You'll have 30 minutes at mood, and a budget of $150.
05:37You have until midnight tonight. You have all day tomorrow.
05:42Tim, if we are men, can we use items of clothes we have as reference that we're wearing?
05:47Of course. Make it work. It's the classic make it work moment.
05:55I started sketching, and then I realized I had no idea how to even really sketch menswear.
06:03I have never done men's clothing.
06:07I think we're all struggling as of right now with this challenge.
06:10Most of us don't do menswear.
06:19For Tiki, I really automatically just wanted to go for the suit look.
06:22I've done menswear in the past.
06:24Not that many people have that much menswear experience,
06:26so I am dying to see what's going to happen with everybody, including myself.
06:31I'll hold it in the back.
06:32Whenever you mind, I'll hold it in the back.
06:34All right.
06:35Is that tight on you, or is it because you've got it?
06:37Yeah, but I'm not like that.
06:42All right, everybody. Time is up.
06:45We're going shopping. All right, go, go, go.
06:48Welcome back to Mood. Off you go.
06:55Something to give it a little color, I think, would be nice.
06:58A little darker than this.
06:59I wanted to make a sportswear type of blazer, a tailored men's dress shirt,
07:06and I wanted to make a pair of nice slacks.
07:09Time was going by quickly, and I was naturally nervous.
07:13Do you like hot pants?
07:18How much are buttons a piece?
07:21Oh, here we go.
07:22We have 10 minutes.
07:23Okay, good.
07:24Okay. Are you all right?
07:25I'm freaking, but I'm good.
07:26You're freaking? All right.
07:27Everybody is.
07:28More beige-y.
07:29You know, like school uniform pants.
07:31As a stylist for television, I know what works on set.
07:35I know that some stripes don't work on set, so I got a navy fleece,
07:39plaid men's shirting, and a khaki chino for the pants.
07:43We have a minute.
07:44Great.
07:45He's writing the ticket right there.
07:46You just have to be in line.
07:47That's all.
07:48Thanks.
07:49Everybody, it's time.
07:51Over, done.
07:52Let's take this challenge back to the work room.
07:54It's been enough of a challenge here.
08:02Quickly, quickly, quickly.
08:05I'm thinking the only way I can do well is if I make a suit.
08:10I have to show them that I can make a suit.
08:12I mean, once I make the pattern, the sewing is not a problem.
08:14It's just pattern.
08:17Having never done menswear, I'm not sure why I decided to go for a full-on suit.
08:23It's probably the hardest thing I could have picked to do.
08:26I knew that I wanted to do some type of blazer, and I knew I wanted to do a pant that was lighter.
08:31I mean, it's a lot of work, but I know that I'm a fast sewer, so I'm not worried.
08:37There's a lot of people that might not finish this time.
08:40Jack, and I know this is another ignorant question.
08:42Waistband two inches?
08:43Two inches?
08:44Two inches?
08:45Two and a half?
08:46Two?
08:47You don't want a fat waistband.
08:48Two inches?
08:49Like, what?
08:50That's too much.
08:51Yeah.
08:52I'm gonna do three pieces, one being the sporty outerwear jacket, polo shirt, and then a really nice pair of slacks.
08:56Jack was a trooper.
08:57I had to ask for help on those things that I was completely poor at.
09:02It's one thing to design it and have a team make it, and it's another thing to actually make the daggum sample.
09:07Like, I know how it's supposed to be made, but I never make menswear.
09:10I've done a lot of designing, but I haven't done a lot of making mens clothes.
09:15You didn't tie it in the front?
09:17No, I just...
09:18Oh, but that looks good.
09:19A little wrap and pleat.
09:20A little wrap.
09:21I drew you cherries on your ass.
09:23I happen to be wearing flat front shorts that were basically identical to the silhouette that I wanted to use for the design, so I promptly took them off and ripped them apart and made a pattern out of them.
09:35Can I ask you guys a question? Can we press it?
09:38Yeah.
09:39And then just trace it?
09:40Yeah.
09:41Thank you for being gracious enough to share.
09:45No problem.
09:46This is so much easier than just drafting it and, like, doing the muslin, because I'm not going to do the muslin now.
09:50Right.
09:51I'm not either.
09:52I'm going to go right to fabric.
09:53Yeah, totally.
09:54Jack took off his shorts and traced the pattern.
09:57And I think Carmen and Victoria used a pattern that already existed.
10:01Everybody was worried about time, but I do not think it was fair.
10:06I asked before, I'm like, are you allowed to help other people?
10:09And I'm like, it's totally fine.
10:10I would ask if you could share a pattern.
10:12This is a collaborative pattern.
10:14That's true.
10:15I use my shorts as a pattern, and that's not against the rules.
10:19Jealousy is going to bring out the ugly and whatever.
10:22The intensity is definitely up a notch today in the workroom.
10:27The menswear has brought forth the claws.
10:30How long do we have in here till tonight?
10:32Midnight.
10:33Do these people know how long it takes to do this stuff?
10:44Oh, God.
10:45Oh, don't just let it go.
10:46Man down, man down.
10:47You okay?
10:48Shit.
10:49I'm trying to give him a little pocket for Christ's sake.
10:52Houston, there's another problem.
10:54Beautiful.
10:55Hi, everybody.
10:56Hi.
10:57Hi.
10:58Hi.
10:59.
11:00How are you?
11:01Challenged.
11:02Challenged.
11:03Yes, I think you are.
11:05Time is up.
11:06time is up at the end of the first night some of the people who are beginning to
11:11really freak out because they saw how much time they were gonna have the next
11:16day it was gonna just be crazy to get it all done so I will see you in the
11:24morning all right it's midnight and I'm standing here in a pimp's hat just let
11:30it go I'm leaving bye-bye coming up on the project runway oh my gosh I am so
11:44excited about having the model the guys are good-looking so the girls are
11:49excited these fit your ass perfect so are some of the guys of course Wow
11:55the hardest challenge this is really hard people are freaking out I think my
12:03vest is gonna be like blue together in the back all right get ready so last time
12:06we're gonna have fun today after you lady the moment we stepped foot in that room
12:14we all just went straight to work we were all on fire get lost buddy I don't think
12:20it's so we get so stressed out that it's hard to remember that this is like such a fantasy
12:31experience the time constraints are definitely making for a more stressful environment than
12:37we've seen so far you're so fast it's like frightening definitely during this challenge
12:46I think my feet is my biggest asset I'm getting so much done already so I'm not worried ready okay
12:55do it like a rock star I'm a lot older than most of the people in the room and I never have had any
13:05sort of formal fashion training at all I'm completely self-taught in fourth grade when my
13:11mother was hemming my pants I pushed her out of the way and said let me at the sewing machine
13:17yay pants I'm good at pants pants are just two big sleeves sewn together it's not that hard I do
13:25not have any experience in menswear but I felt the need to drape a pair of trousers with a testing
13:31fabric muslin Wow nice dude wow those look nice and they're not traced off of a pattern like some other
13:39pants I'm not accusing anyone I'm just saying I know that some did snap they were draped
13:45designers I have a very nice announcement to make we are sending in your models I am so excited when
14:01he gets in I'm getting all his measurements to the teeth so you'll have an hour all right I'm gonna send
14:06them in right now oh my gosh we were given our models for this challenge at random and to spend
14:19time with our models is gonna make a huge difference and we get fun male models so it makes it all worth
14:25yeah that's right the guys are good-looking so the girls are excited we're like sweating bullets so
14:31are some of the guys of course take your clothes off everybody in the room was looking all over the
14:37place and all these like disrobing men it was quite an exciting afternoon when I met my model David I was
14:47like whoa cuz he's beautiful he is very beautiful I can't believe these fit you so well every one of the
14:53gay guys in the room was like freaking out and being the only straight guy I'm just like whatever let's
14:58move along okay I'm finally understanding what it's like for a straight guys when they say oh my god I
15:06can't believe you got all these hot chicks standing around in their underwear okay fine you know you win
15:15guys I get it Wow Wow just because of the way I am I personally don't feel comfortable with you
15:30getting undressed here like the other professional models do I have a tendency to be a bit shy I have a
15:38boyfriend and he is the only person I've actually fitted on intimately ready he's the only male that
15:48I choose to touch I want to do it sounds kind of weird keep talking I haven't cut my fabric I'm just
15:55drafting my pattern so I put the muslins that I put together on him to try them out sorry I would love to
16:03talk to you but I can't right now I'm so stressed out I can't think clearly oh my god it's gonna be
16:09perfect pants fit in perfectly but the shirt is kind of a nightmare oh my god and now I have to start
16:16all over again and I'm not really happy about it thank you so much great meeting you see you tomorrow
16:22like take care and have a great night bye thanks to million we'll see you tomorrow yeah thank you so
16:28much after my model left I had to start again and recut everything in these situations you just do
16:36whatever you have to do to make it work girls it's time to make it happen I am totally freaking out
16:44there is no time to sew all these garments and to do a jacket I'm gonna be lucky if I get a shirt made
16:50this is why I admire those little men that sit in those tailor shops this is like no joke designers
17:08may I ask you to gather round please I was just like oh god now what we're all so overwhelmed at
17:17that point we don't have the time to deal with another surprise designers I have a special guest
17:29in came this fabulous Asian woman who is so tan and gorgeous I love Asians Asians are fierce designers
17:37I am delighted to introduce you to Jenny Barber Jenny is Tiki Barber's wife and she has a very special
17:43affinity for menswear and she's going to critique your work because she understands Tiki better than
17:48anyone and we're thrilled that you're here thank you for having me all right I'll lead the way here
17:54Jenny this is Jack hi hi Jenny it's a pleasure to meet you talk to us I know he said he was
18:02experimenting with color so I wanted a colored pinstripe and if you look it's like a subtle pink and I'm
18:08pairing that with your classic dresser with a few details on it and on top of that I'm making a vest I
18:13love the color I love the best idea it's great again the layering great great great I'm happy to hear that
18:21thank you thank you nice meeting you this way I'm gonna make a suit with a jacket vest pants and a
18:28shirt crazy right it's just layering which I like to do and he likes as well oh thanks if you don't
18:35mind my saying so you look like you have a lot of work to do I do I do and I'm freaking out if I
18:40don't get my piece finished I feel like the axe is gonna drop Ricky doesn't look good well Ricky
18:45looks a little panicky yeah but I gotta do it you're gonna do it goodbye so tell us what you're
18:51doing okay I'm making a dress shirt tie suit and a pocket square and one thing I did do for his butt
18:57is put a double vent this way mm-hmm you know it could stick out and it's not gonna look odd he'll
19:02definitely love the colors I think the double vent is a great idea have you cut the fabric for the
19:08jacket yeah so I have a lot of work to do a lot of work you do thank you Kevin it's very nice to
19:14me okay nice to meet you Carol after I didn't meet Jenny I feel really good about it it's coming out
19:19great I love it the only thing was finishing it so basically I'm going for more of a leisure look but
19:26with beautiful like suited materials I want the jacket to be in this really nice chocolate color
19:31that's slightly heathered this is reminiscent of like a members only jacket and it's very casual it
19:39worries me too it worries me I'd reconsider the design of it what's the matter I don't think I
19:48have enough material she said that it looks very much like a members only jacket and members only is
19:53reminiscent of the 80s so I was a little jolted because it was so late in the hour and I knew I
19:59didn't have enough fabric to start over completely it's up to you what you do all right thank you
20:05designers we're going to leave you now you have until 1 a.m. and I'll see you tomorrow thank you
20:13Tim have a good night I decided that I should really scale back on my original design but I
20:22unfortunately did not give myself a lot of options by not purchasing enough fabric I'm not doing a jacket
20:29what are you gonna do I'm gonna make a vest with the dress shirt and the tie it was down to crunch
20:33time and I'm really good at making vests so I changed everything up drafted a pattern chopped up
20:39a vest use the lining as the back it's like yeah I'm totally doing a vest and I'm thinking I'm not
20:43doing that best what will you have no dress shirt and pants right now if I had a pant and a shirt at
20:48least I knew I was covered if I wasn't able to get to the best because I didn't want to have a nude
20:52model walking down the runway I have 50 minutes and I'm I was challenging myself to do a lot and I'm
21:13just overwhelmed I don't know what the I'm making I put the zipper in the wrong way don't go home too
21:19soon don't go home too soon shut the up shut the up I'm about two minutes away from like snapping
21:28well snap it's not cool you know what Carmen just snap because you want to so go do it I mean geez
21:34no obviously not because you made it clear that you want me to shut up so don't go home too soon
21:42wrong note she in a wrong note don't bite you guys the sparks were flying between Ricky and Carmen some
21:49people are freaking out at the end of the night it doesn't look as though there's much of anything
22:01done the vibe in the room is one of oh what was it that they had on the Titanic right before it's saying
22:09oh yeah panic that's it we're out of here nobody's really good nobody's good coming up on the project
22:21runway I put the shirt on and I was horrified you have two minutes it was beyond horrible
22:39sweet pea basically has like three quarters of a pair of pants and a tie it's gonna be way get out I'm
22:47pretty nervous because I know I have very little time to finish my shirt I'm just praying that I can
22:53sew it together really fast it's time for hanging hey all right came on I have a plan of attack if I
23:11can finish my pants and finish my shirt and then I can attack the jacket go balls out because if you
23:16go for it and you fall on your ass fall as hard as you can for the record this is the hardest
23:22challenge I've ever had in my life my shirt is adorable your shirt turned out so bright it's good
23:31because that's all I got going on I'm not gonna make the vest it's not possible I'd rather send two
23:37things down the runway that I know are really well made and fit really well so I feel good I still have
23:46a shirt to do and a collar yeah and I haven't even started on the shirt yet I wasn't expecting to run
23:53into some of the obstacles that I had run into so I'm really concerned that I'm not even gonna have
23:58enough time to do the shirt good morning designers I am sending in your models you will have two hours
24:08to send them to the press in my hair salon in the L'Oreal Paris makeup room I know you're already using the
24:14Bluepeline.com wall because most of it's gone okay I'm just gonna put this on and then we'll try
24:23everything on but as you can see I finished the best that's right I feel great that I have three pieces
24:36and that my look came together the way it was in my head you look perfect in it they feel like
24:42they're on like they're good okay they won't fall down oh great just make sure it's in the center of
24:50the of there so go like one or two or three times and then the other one yeah all right when the model
24:56arrives I asked him can you sew buttons he's like yeah no problem put me to work I'm here for you who's
25:01gonna kill you for it Michael probably say what is that I don't know what I did wrong I put the
25:10shirt on and I was horrified I can't even button it the neck is too big it's a nightmare what would
25:18you do would you even send this down honey there's way worse things going on around here than that
25:23really everybody's stressing out what am I gonna do so I want like this thing okay you're good
25:41that's really cool designers you have 15 minutes how's it going there's quite panic coursing through
25:58my veins right now as we are frenetically running around trying to get our work done I had a lot to do
26:06and I bit up a lot more than I could chew so I've used pens to hem his jacket and his sleeve hem
26:12it's not working at all and I'm really freaked out how do I style it to make it look presentable
26:25mine's the problem everybody else is good it's not good for me I had my model try on the pants and I'm
26:35terrified about the crotch the fit was just like beyond horrible Carmen you have two minutes I'm
26:45worried you gotta go go go okay all right do me a favor there's some blue material on the table in
26:51there bring that blue material here I didn't even have time to do my shirt the fabric that I was gonna
26:57use for the shirt I cut a large piece of it out to drape it around his neck for kind of like a shawl collar
27:04effect okay come on designers we're going down to the runway no come on guys Carmen sweet pea really
27:13let's go go go I think this challenge is gonna be so difficult to judge because there's gonna be so
27:19many things that are jacked up this is it we are going to the runway coming up on project runway
27:26the props on the pants is insane you put too much on your plate it's just messy
27:30hello welcome to the runway as you know in fashion one day you're in and the next day you're out
27:42for this challenge you had to design an outfit for today show correspondent Tiki Barber you had a
27:49hundred fifty dollars and two days to finish this look let's meet the judges first we have top American
27:58designer Michael course hey guys Nina Garcia fashion director of Elle magazine oh yeah and your client
28:06legendary New York giant running back and today show correspondent Tiki Barber good to see you all
28:13again we will score your designs as they come down the runway one of you will be named the winner and one
28:19of you will be out let's start the show I have never done menswear I really felt like if I can do this I
28:32I can do anything I was very proud of my work but I saw my look coming down the runway I did not feel
28:42good at all because there is no shirt that is not a representation at all of who I am as a designer
28:54in all honesty it was the most interesting my model looked good in it I liked it a lot
29:02I feel pretty confident because my garments finished it's three pieces the color palette
29:12is nice and it's definitely TV friendly I'm very happy I think my look is a little bit less formal more
29:22hip and somewhat useful I think it's a great menswear look this is the worst thing I've ever made he
29:35looks good in the pant but it looks like the shirt was made by a kindergartner I'm embarrassed in front of
29:43my peers I think the outfit is very much in line with what cheeky asked for it's more conservative I
29:56couldn't see him wearing it I was unhappy with my garment but amazingly I was able to somehow pull it off
30:08and complete the look I was really happy it looked like cool menswear but like with a little twist to
30:21it and it looked very European and that's what I liked about it I have the look that I wanted it was
30:34simple and sleek but sophisticated I was very happy with it I actually thought like wow it looks like I
30:46bought it in a store it looks really tailored well so it was cool as the models walking down the runway I
30:58see a little glisten of the pin here and there it's a disaster I'm nervous because I'm like I hope they
31:04don't see the pins I hope they don't see like the mistakes I'm excited because I wanted to do a look
31:17that was clean and finished looking and I managed to pull that off
31:28we've scored your designs will the following designers please step forward Jillian Christian Rami Steve
31:40Victoria Chris Elisa if I have called your name congratulations your scores have qualified you
31:55to move on to move on to the next challenge you can leave the runway the six remaining designers have the
32:13highest and the lowest scores one of you will be named the winner and one of you will be out let's bring
32:23out your models I would like to start with kids and first I would like to hear what tiki things I like
32:40this look I like the texture in the shirt it's not loud but it's there and it's conservative and it fits
32:46my nature what is your jacket made of my jacket is made out of fleece I think you were smart picking
32:54that Navy fleece because if that wasn't in Navy fleece like give me a Xanax I'm asleep I like the
33:01overall presentation and I think you did well thank you sweet pea I thought it was messy it's conservative
33:12yet it has style it's just messy what I don't understand how on earth you can let your model
33:19walk down the runway with this mess around the neck what is that could you fold it and show us really
33:24what it does no no it is completely messed up what happened let's really see what's going on let's see
33:30the shirt it's a mess the funny thing is the tie for the crazy proportion of it you sewed it well I think
33:38so too you did and I never made a tie in my life well if a guy was seven foot three it would be a
33:43fabulous time unfortunately I'm five nine Jack the trousers fit him very nicely I think the shirt is
33:55a classic shirt with a little bit of a twist I like the bias on the pocket the plaque it looks really nice
34:00it was simple but the textures I love it's not loud in any kind of way and I did think for a second oh
34:08too many stripes stripes stripes stripes stripes but um you know I think the stripe and the pant is subtle
34:13so it works for me this outfit looks great to me thank you yes they look perfect but you only have two
34:20pieces I understand yeah I hear you I understand your point but I think safe and perfect looks better than
34:26three or four pieces that are completely wrong and I agree with that I can't be on the air looking like
34:33an idiot Ricky what's with the safety pins holding up that jacket well don't think because we're sitting
34:44over here we don't see that I mean let's be honest I've never made these kind of things so I needed to go
34:50you know full force you made it sloppy I could not wear this on air it's it's I would look like a fool
34:58if I showed up and sat down on the set of the today show and had that on I understand this is not your
35:04thing but why these colors you know it has to be wearable it needs to be for the today show so it has to
35:10be wearable but it doesn't have to be boring this looks dull Ricky Tiki what do you think about Kevin's
35:23outfit for you I don't wear a lot of vests but I like this best the pocket square with the design
35:30on the tie is something that catches your eye but doesn't distract you a lot I think you maybe ran out
35:36of time too what are you looking at the pin on the vest just take the pin out for a minute if he
35:44would have come out like that I never would have known that you weren't finished I thought of that
35:47too I would not like my husband walking around like that seals not going purple I hope not seals
35:53look amazing in this it's more of David Beckham than Tiki you put a different shirt I would wear that
36:00outfit Carmen Tiki what did you think of Carmen's outfit the jacket is too short if it's short like
36:07that all you're gonna do is look at my butt Heidi's like Heidi's like and the problem with that is I just
36:15love to hear that guys have the same problem like my girls do forget the jacket the crotch on the pants is
36:22insane you didn't have time to finish a shirt they take it I did not there is no shirt whatsoever the
36:30blue is representing the original shirt that I wanted can you just completely take it off him
36:35this is quite embarrassing because this is not represent me as a designer this is unacceptable you
36:42not have enough integrity to say this is a complete miss for me it's rough I mean at the end of the day
36:47this goes down to the whole story of you know time management okay we've heard what you had to say
36:54we're gonna have a little chat and then I'm gonna call you back thank you very much you can leave the
36:58runway okay gang who did we like Kevin his outfit was avant-garde it would make a statement it
37:24had him it was a little definitely it was a lot definitely have a lot we like Jack's he was smart
37:32yeah because he designed an outfit that I couldn't wear tomorrow and he didn't bite off more than he
37:37could chew you know a little bit of a twist though with one-third piece would have been helpful to me
37:42that's the only thing I think kit was also fantastic her outfit had complete versatility she twisted the
37:51jacket by making it in fleece so it kind of had a little bit of this cardigan attitude without
37:56looking like grandpa it was unique okay let's go to the ones we didn't like how long do we have let's
38:05start with sweet pea the funny thing is when it first came out I thought it was intentionally ugly and
38:12you know in the weird collar and the home and then I realized no this is just gone totally wrong there
38:18was no there was really nothing no concept Carmen's there was no shirt the jacket was cropped and not
38:27finished pants that didn't fit even if the trousers wouldn't have been for like a boogie night star and
38:33like she had time to make the shirt who would have put that together yeah where would you have won that
38:38you couldn't I want to see clothes not a it could have been Ricky it looked like my five-year-old did
38:47it they looked horrible you don't want to sit at a fashion show and see oh no I saw the fashion show
38:53and and this is the kind of presentation that I would get I would not go back I guess they all
38:58thought that they were better than they really are okay we've made our decision yeah I think we have okay
39:07let's bring them back out one of you will be named the winner and one of you will be out
39:25one of you will be named the winner and one of you will be out Kevin you're in you can leave the runway
39:42Tiki who's the winner I'd like to extend my congratulations
39:52to Jack thank you very much you'll see your design on the today show
40:00congratulations you can leave the runway thank you when they called my name I was like oh my god do I
40:10just freaking want a challenge on project runway that was really freaking cool and he will be wearing
40:17it on the on the today show that is so hot dude my family is gonna flip I almost start crying
40:24Kit good work you can leave the runway thank you
40:32sweet pea
40:39you're in Carmen Ricky one of you will be out Carmen
41:08everything was off the pants the jacket your model was half-naked Ricky your
41:18construction and presentation were unacceptable but even if it were
41:23perfectly made it still would have been just a boring old suit
41:29Carmen you're out that means Ricky you're in you can leave the runway thank you
41:42thank you
41:52wonderful opportunity thank you very much
41:59actually it's easier to leave with a high chin and my integrity on menswear
42:07because that's not what I do but you know it's definitely not a happy feeling
42:12that I was knocked out of the competition
42:14Wow an intense challenge guys Carmen well I have to send you upstairs to clean up your space yes
42:24all right best wishes thank you I regret not having the opportunity to show the world the
42:33amazing designer that I am I really saw myself as making it to Bryant Park but this is how it goes
42:39I've been this industry for years at the end of the day I am happy with what I've learned from this
42:45experience next on project runway Tim is waiting for you and he's not alone oh my god oh my god
42:54America start praying for us now sometimes it's better not to fight about it and to go with it you
43:01know I don't believe that her way is the only way and that's it I was definitely concerned we agreed
43:07to disagree on that one how is that she sees it one way and I see it another I just can't believe it
43:11right now your outfit looks a little dated it didn't fit it was old-fashioned the fabric was ugly she
43:18didn't take my advice I can't help but to say what I think visit bravo tv.com to learn more about the
43:23fashions you've seen on today's show
