00:01Previously on Project Runway.
00:03For your next challenge, you will be designing an outfit
00:05for Inc. International Concepts.
00:08I'm so glad I just don't have to make three pieces all by myself.
00:11Something about it doesn't seem right.
00:13I saw some pattern-making books in Keith's room.
00:16These books make me sick.
00:20I'm gonna have to ask you to leave.
00:22The winning garment will be featured in a window display at Macy's.
00:32Robert, we felt that your outfit was a total bore.
00:39Bonnie, you're out.
00:43Happy to see you.
00:45The winner of Project Runway will receive a spread in Elle magazine,
00:48a mentorship with Inc. International Concepts Design,
00:51a 2007 Saturn Sky Roadster,
00:54and $100,000 to start their own line,
00:56furnished by Tresemme Professional Hair Care.
00:59This is Project Runway.
01:01Fashion is my life.
01:03I'm going to win.
01:04Fifteen contestants.
01:05I'm fabulously glamorous.
01:07You have mad skills.
01:09But only one can be the winner.
01:11I'm better than that.
01:12You gotta be kidding me.
01:14For these fifteen contestants,
01:16Project Runway is the chance of a lifetime.
01:23It is just annoying to me
01:25that Angela was the winner of the Macy's Challenge.
01:28I know that Macy's isn't the place for me.
01:31It still cut me straight through.
01:35I'm ready to win a challenge.
01:37I haven't won,
01:38and I want to say I won at least one challenge.
01:41After the runway show for Macy's,
01:45myself and Bonnie were in the bottom two.
01:49I just felt really humbled, for sure.
01:51I really have to prove that I'm able to do clothes that are not boring.
01:56I'm ready.
02:02Hi.
02:03Hi.
02:04Hi.
02:05Are you ready for your next challenge?
02:06Uh-huh.
02:07Yes.
02:08Okay.
02:09But first, let's bring out your models.
02:10We're going to do things differently today.
02:22Models,
02:23I will let you choose the designer who you want to work with.
02:28It's kind of screwed up when things are out of the designer's hands.
02:39Remember, this is a competition for you too.
02:42The model paired with a winning designer will get a fashion spread in Elle magazine.
02:48So choose carefully.
02:50I'm going to pick your names out of this bag to see who chooses first.
02:55In our last challenge, we lost two designers.
02:58There are 12 models and 10 designers.
03:01So tonight, two models must go.
03:04The last two names in the bag will be out.
03:15Alexandra.
03:16This is a hard decision.
03:18I wanted to pick somebody I haven't worked with before.
03:21I'm going to go with Allison.
03:25Clarissa.
03:29Angela.
03:32Amanda.
03:35I really enjoyed working with Kane.
03:36I'm going to pick you again.
03:38Nasri.
03:40Michael.
03:42Lindsay.
03:44I'm going to go with Uri.
03:47Danielle.
03:48Robert.
03:49My favourite.
03:50Maralinda.
03:52Jeffrey.
03:54Camilla.
03:56I'm going to go with Laura.
03:57My previous designers had all been picked, but I always wanted to work with Laura because
04:02she just has such a clean, sophisticated style.
04:06Gia.
04:10I'm going to choose Vincent.
04:12That's my girl.
04:14That leaves you Bradley.
04:16Katie.
04:18Javi.
04:20And Katja.
04:21There are three of you and one button left.
04:24So two of you will be out.
04:30Katie.
04:31You're in.
04:32You have Bradley.
04:34Javi.
04:36Katja.
04:38I'm sorry.
04:39That means you're out.
04:40You can leave the runway.
04:43Auf Wiedersehen.
04:46Okay.
04:47For your next challenge, you will be modernizing a look for a fashion icon.
04:52We have ten different fashion icons waiting in the workroom.
05:01And your model will choose one for you.
05:05Now we're feeling a little out of control.
05:08We don't know these girls.
05:09We don't know if they know us.
05:10We know that the key to the next challenge is now resting in their hands.
05:15And that's a little frightening.
05:18Models, please get changed.
05:21Meet him to choose an icon for your designer.
05:24Oh boy.
05:26Designers, I'll see you on the runway.
05:29Welcome, models.
05:30Come on in.
05:31Models, as Heidi said, your designers will be modernizing the look of a fashion icon.
05:44In front of you are ten pictures of important icons who have shaped fashion trends over the last century.
05:50I want you to take a careful look.
05:54And when I say go, I want you to come forward, choose an icon, and head to your designer's workspace.
06:02Okay?
06:06We were all standing around waiting and the pressure was building.
06:12I knew I had to fight to the death to get Audrey Hepburn.
06:18Go.
06:20When he said go, all of the models, they were like.
06:26Wow.
06:28I knew it was going to be a fight.
06:32I tried to reach, but I got the leftover picture.
06:35Wow.
06:37What do you think, guys?
06:39Oh, yeah.
06:40Fabulous.
06:41This is one of my top choices, so I'm happy.
06:43All right, everybody.
06:44I've never said this before.
06:45Models, I'm sending in the designers.
06:47Come on in.
06:49What is Audrey Hepburn?
06:51Modernizing Audrey Hepburn.
06:53I just basically peed my pants.
06:54I was totally excited.
06:56It was so dead on.
06:58Yes!
07:00I have Pam motherf***ing Greer.
07:04She is the bomb.
07:09Jackie O is perfect as a fashion icon to me.
07:12She's like the definition of all things glamorous and stylish.
07:17What do you think?
07:18You lying?
07:19My background is in doing stage wear for rock stars.
07:22Madonna is the perfect fit for me.
07:24The universe wants me to f*** win.
07:27That's it.
07:28I love it.
07:29I love it.
07:30I love it.
07:31I love it.
07:32Miss Marilyn Monroe.
07:33I knew Lindsay would pick something which fits her and my style too.
07:42And she picked Diana Ross.
07:44Designers, you will have two days for this challenge and a budget of $150.
07:49You will have a half hour to sketch and meet with your models to caucus and that half hour starts now.
07:56This is a great, great challenge.
07:59Camilla must have been paying attention to the work I've been doing since the beginning of the challenges because she nailed it.
08:05Catherine Hepburn was a project that I could definitely handle.
08:09At first, I didn't think Sarah Fawcett was fitting.
08:13I wasn't really intrigued until Alexander started to tell me about her.
08:17She's very daring, sexy.
08:18Well, this can be a lot of fun.
08:20Gia picked Twiggy because of what I could do with it.
08:24She explicitly told me that.
08:26I love these sleeves.
08:29I don't know s*** about Cher.
08:32But this is who I got and so...
08:36Tell me about Cher, Katie. What do you know?
08:39Nowadays she does more of the glam. She's gone pop. Very pop.
08:43But I like this picture of her too.
08:45Like Prince Pop?
08:46Yeah, maybe I should start paying attention to celebrities more.
08:51You've had a half hour to sketch.
08:54And designers, you and I will go shopping.
09:02Everything that Pam Greer wore in her movies, it was always body conscious.
09:07The dress I'm doing is pretty much is a plunging neckline party dress.
09:13This challenge definitely ranks number one for me.
09:17Just something I can really, really relate to.
09:20I'm planning to do a suit that remind me of Jackie Kennedy in the White House years,
09:27but just in a more modern, exciting way.
09:29And I found this beautiful fabric. It's like a pale turquoise Tiffany blue color.
09:34I really want to address what my apparent weakness is.
09:38Boring, anxiety.
09:40If I'm boring, then I probably should just go home.
09:43I feel so excited about my dress for Marilyn Monroe.
09:51It is so gorgeous.
09:54I kind of wanted a Marilyn Monroe meets Gwen Stefani, their love child kind of thing.
09:59Kane, what colors are you using?
10:01Black.
10:02Crazy color palette.
10:03I know, I'm shocked.
10:05I'm the only, I'm the only crazy one.
10:08You know what you got to do is the best thing is step back and imagine like someone else is on here.
10:13That's what I do sometimes.
10:15And what we're going to do here is we're going to make a dress with these really beautiful sleeves
10:19that kind of swing out like bells, so to speak, but they have high arm holes.
10:24So against the silhouette, you'll really see this bell-like sleeve.
10:26Angela, do you know what's going on when this...
10:33I rethread the machine.
10:34Well, it started doing it when you were on it.
10:36Oh, yeah.
10:38Angela got on my machine and the machine was messed up.
10:41Whatever happened to my machine, Angela had something to do with.
10:45You should fix this machine.
10:46I did, I told you the last two times I used it.
10:48It's not fixed.
10:49It's not fixed.
10:51Wow.
10:52I heard Angela something up.
10:56Bradley's machine and now Bradley's taking my machine.
10:59You guys, you know what?
11:00That's not fair.
11:01I did not mess up this machine.
11:03I was working on it and the bobbin thread, it was just getting messed up.
11:07Angela and these inexperienced ass ruin it for those of us that know what we're doing.
11:13If it's working fine when I get off it and then you get on it and something goes wrong,
11:17and the next time I get on it, it's up, you're responsible to fix it.
11:20That's it.
11:21It has nothing to do with whether I like you or not.
11:22Will you shut up?
11:23It has nothing to do with whether I like you or not.
11:24Will you shut up?
11:25No, shut up.
11:26Jeffrey acts like he's the only one good enough to be sewing in the sewing room
11:28because he's the only one who knows what he's doing.
11:31I'm entitled to not like you, right?
11:33Yeah, absolutely, but don't accuse me of things that I didn't do.
11:37And don't jump on the bandwagon if an accuser is wrong.
11:40You're so successful and you know so much, what are you doing here, Jeff?
11:44What are you pissed off about?
11:45Laura was just being annoying.
11:46I wasn't even talking to Laura, but she felt it necessary to start quacking in my ear.
11:50quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack, quack!
11:57God, I wish that bitch would have a stroke.
12:00Coming up on Project Runway.
12:02Everybody trying to gang up on her just for thrills and giggles.
12:05I'm in huge trouble.
12:06Oh, my God, don't tell me that.
12:15Jeffrey jumped on Angela's case
12:17and stormed out the workroom.
12:19Everybody trying to gang up on her
12:22just for thrills and giggles.
12:23That's just not cool.
12:25It's like a domino effect, because then Alison
12:27goes in to use her machine, and Bradley's on it.
12:29And then you go into your machine, and Alice is on it.
12:32You know what I'm saying?
12:33So it does have something to do with it.
12:35Does it have something to do with me?
12:37No.
12:38It does.
12:39I'm not trying to play Captain Save-A-Ho,
12:42as we say in the hood, or, you know, or whatever.
12:45But it just really wasn't his place to even say anything.
12:49I was just saying, I think that if you break the machine,
12:52you should fix it before you move on.
12:54Cool. It's all good.
12:55That's it?
12:57Moving forward.
13:01All I want to do is make a dress for Madonna.
13:04Is that so much to ask?
13:09You can definitely feel the tension now.
13:11It's a little bit more competition.
13:13I've really just been trying to stick to my guns and stay true
13:16to who I am as a person and as a designer.
13:19Hello?
13:21Hey, Mom.
13:22This is mine.
13:23Hey.
13:24Oh, my God.
13:25How's it going?
13:26I'm doing great.
13:27My mom is really sensitive, so she cries about everything.
13:29Ever since the first time I picked up a sketch pad and drew my first croquis,
13:34my parents have been big supporters of mine since day one,
13:37and I love them for it.
13:38Keep praying, OK?
13:39I will.
13:40I always do.
13:41Every night.
13:42All right.
13:43OK.
13:44Tell everybody I said I love them, and I'll talk to you soon.
13:46OK.
13:47I love you, too.
13:48All right, my dear.
13:49Bye.
13:50Bye.
13:51It was what I needed to hear, this little piece of home.
13:54So I feel good.
13:55I feel energized.
13:56I'm ready to continue on.
14:09When I was in the workroom, I noticed that the tan that I had purchased
14:13just wasn't right to create this look for Twiggy.
14:16OK.
14:18If it's not hitting you, you're not going to go with it,
14:21because you know you've got a chance of saying goodbye.
14:24I'm in huge trouble.
14:25Oh, my God.
14:26Don't tell me that.
14:27Yeah, it's all a night now.
14:28I know.
14:29I'm having the same feeling about my jacket.
14:31Vincent had all this linen that he wasn't using,
14:33so I actually borrowed the linen from Vincent to make a jacket,
14:36and I wanted to just look young and modern, like Jackie.
14:40Maybe mix things up a little, take a slightly different approach
14:43to try and wow the judges.
14:48I'm most excited to see Jeff's and Bradley's.
14:58Cher, Cher.
14:59Hello.
15:00I'm actually going to be really excited to see Laura's.
15:03I'm going to feel so good.
15:05That's not nice.
15:06She's not nice, dude.
15:07What are you talking about?
15:09She is so mean and frigid and weird.
15:12Why don't you use a pitchfork on her, dude?
15:22To be incredibly honest, I think this challenge has been the absolute best one we've had so far.
15:28I'm working with a black lambskin leather and a nude stretch lycra as well as a black sheer stretch mesh so that it really takes you back to that era of Maryland but still modernized for today.
15:41When I think Audrey Hepburn, I think very sleek, sophisticated, want to have the suggestion of skin for sexiness but then the chiffon draped over it so that we've got sexy lines on the inside but then you've got this sort of mysterious covering on the outside.
15:59This is a really classic piece that's very modern.
16:03When I think Farrah, I think of like the 70s and 80s.
16:07In a modern way, I'm giving it a really high waistband which is pretty hot right now using versatile fabrics.
16:14I want to hint to the 70s but I don't want to make a dress that looks like it belongs in the 70s.
16:20I got one word for Bradley's top.
16:25Supercalifragilisticexpiala.
16:27Crazy.
16:30What is that Woody Allen movie?
16:31Sleepers?
16:32Yeah, yeah, yeah.
16:33He reminds me of Major Tom.
16:36insane.
16:37Sleepers.
16:39Bradley, where are you?
16:41Come in.
16:44I would love it if Cher liked what I made, you know?
16:48Maybe she will.
16:50Maybe she won't.
16:51No, I love it when it goes on.
16:53Oh, this one, huh?
16:57I want one of these for myself.
17:02Designers, in just a minute, I'm sending in your models.
17:09You're going to have 15 minutes with them to have a little check-in with them about your look,
17:15to do any fittings in anticipation of the runway showing tomorrow, so take advantage of it.
17:24This is awesome that you guys come earlier.
17:28Yeah.
17:29Originally, I designed a very pretty dress.
17:31I tried it on Naseri.
17:32It didn't look good.
17:33I mean, it was a pretty dress, but pretty wasn't what I was going for.
17:37I looked at it, I stared at it, and I'm just trying to let the essence that is all Pam,
17:42Greer, Foxy Brown, Sheba, baby, and let that seep into my brain.
17:49So I had to do some quick thingin' and switch some stuff up.
17:52I thought Katie was going to be a little bit bigger than the pants,
17:58so I left some room in there.
18:00Yeah, they're riding up.
18:03Thank you, too.
18:05They're sitting bad there.
18:09So we went there, and then he took me to serendipity.
18:12Oh.
18:13But it was perfect, you know, for my birthday,
18:15because I don't even really like cake.
18:17I just wanted an ice cream.
18:18My model is Amanda, and Amanda will not shut up.
18:23He said he really wanted to get me the new iPod that hasn't come out yet,
18:27but he got me the iPod Shuffle,
18:29because I've been using a CD player with headphones for so long.
18:33Are you freaking kidding me?
18:35Shut up.
18:36You should be pretty and seen and not open your mouth.
18:39When I was a kid, I was always very satisfied.
18:41I'm naturally a brunette.
18:42Amanda, I can't take on your issues from childhood.
18:45I'm sorry.
18:46As soon as she walked out of the room, we were like...
18:49Oh, I thought I was going to lose my mind.
18:58Coming up on Project Runway.
19:00I mean, it's just incredibly plain.
19:03The only part that's bothering me is this little bit right here.
19:06I'll be here.
19:14Designers, may I ask you to gather round, please?
19:19I am delighted to welcome someone you all know.
19:21Nathaniel Hawkins, lead stylist for the Tresemme Hair Care Creative Team,
19:25who's here to talk to you about the direction of the hair.
19:28Nathaniel.
19:29This week's challenge is really relevant to what I do on a daily basis.
19:32When you think about these icons, you get a picture in your head of what they're supposed to look like.
19:37But it's important to modernize it.
19:39So that's kind of what I'm here for, to figure out the direction of the beauty look.
19:44And Nathaniel has one more thing to share.
19:46The winning designer's look and model will be featured in a Tresemme ad in Elle magazine.
19:52So it's a huge, huge, huge prize here at stake because Elle magazine reaches millions.
20:03An ad for Tresemme?
20:04Yeah.
20:05I used their gel last night.
20:06I really like it.
20:07It made my hair look better today, I think.
20:09So you will each have a private consultation with your model with Nathaniel.
20:14Hello.
20:15Hey.
20:16Good to see you.
20:17What we really want to do with her hair is to get some extensions and then just go
20:22straightened out.
20:23Diana Ross built the fullness and curl out like this.
20:26Cara Fawcett.
20:27Always have that motion of hair moving back.
20:30I think Twiggy with the essence of the 60s.
20:32Really shiny.
20:34With Cameron Dreher, I would encourage more of a fro when it comes to the beauty of Marilyn.
20:41Keep it more kind of a classic feeling, but a softer feeling to the hair.
20:45And that's what makes it modern.
20:46Love it, love it, love it.
20:47Jackie Kennedy was modern then, it's modern now.
20:50But she has a longer head of hair.
20:52Just cut her hair.
20:53Okay.
20:54It doesn't need it.
21:03Hi everybody.
21:05So how's Robert?
21:06We're good.
21:07This needs a hella pressing too.
21:09So this is the skirt.
21:10So you are using the same fabric.
21:12Yeah.
21:13I mean it's just incredibly plain.
21:17Yes.
21:18Incredibly plain.
21:19He was like, it's very simple and I think he might have even said boring.
21:23So he just wanted to warn me against falling into that same pitfall.
21:27How's Kane?
21:28Good.
21:29How are you sir?
21:30I'm better seeing this.
21:31I was wondering, do you think it would be overkill to do a really pretty cascading ruffle
21:35sewn to the black?
21:36Well you know, I have to say, I really respond to that.
21:40It takes away some of the severity of it.
21:42Okay.
21:43It softens it a bit.
21:44Yeah.
21:45I think it's a good idea.
21:46Michael, how are you?
21:47I'm great.
21:48I'm great.
21:49Good.
21:50So what I'm doing now, I kept the top of the dress.
21:52Okay.
21:53As far as the bottom, I'm going to be adventurous and I really want to do like a little hot pant.
21:59I hate hot pants, but they're really now.
22:02Right.
22:03They're back.
22:04Tell me what's happening.
22:06Right now I'm working on fit because I don't have any extra seam allowance at the crotch.
22:11You don't?
22:12I mean it looks almost like armor.
22:14It looks almost like the Tin Woodsman and the Wizard of Oz.
22:17I'm concerned.
22:18I just feel like you've got to pull this look together and really, especially if it's
22:22a stage piece.
22:24I'll see you in the morning.
22:31Details that no one will ever see or appreciate.
22:33Details that will bore.
22:35Details to bore.
22:36Straight from Robert Best and E. Garcia.
22:40I can just hear Nina right now.
22:42Oh, hot pants.
22:48It's a runway day, kids.
22:49This prize to me is the most interesting one so far.
23:05The fact that the model will be featured in a TRESemme ad in Elle magazine wearing one
23:10of our garments is amazing so I'm really hoping to win this one.
23:16Ready?
23:17Okay.
23:18I don't have any bottoms to the top that I made so I really need to get some s*** cranked
23:22out.
23:23So that's the only thing that has me shaking in my boots.
23:27Good morning, everybody.
23:28Good morning.
23:29Good morning.
23:30I am about sending your models.
23:34You have about two hours to fit them, to take them to the TRESemme hair salon and the
23:42L'Oreal Paris makeup room.
23:44So make this work.
23:51So you came up with a new idea?
23:54Mm-hmm.
23:55Okay, I'll be right back.
23:57The thing I like about the boots is it's just the whole boy toy look.
24:00You think we should make bottoms a little smaller?
24:03Yeah, I want you to be able to get into them still.
24:06I looked at the whole thing together and it just kind of wasn't as good as I would want.
24:11But it's one of those things, you've made the choices and as Tim always says, you just
24:15have to make it work because it's either that or not show anything at all and that's
24:19not acceptable.
24:20The only part that's bothering me about this whole damn dress is this little bit right
24:26here.
24:27It's just because it's just...
24:28Shut up!
24:29I will definitely use Amanda in the future.
24:32I will probably put duct tape over her mouth so she can't talk because she talks too
24:35much.
24:36I cut a pair of shorts out.
24:40Made them at that final hour and it worked out for the best.
24:44I'm excited and pleased with my results.
24:47I'll finish it up and then we can go for hair and makeup.
24:50Alrighty.
24:51I have to sort of tame myself I think because we don't want her to look like a hooker.
24:59Having a little bit of height in the front.
25:00If worse comes to worse we can always...
25:01If worse comes to worse you're doing it.
25:02Put it up south.
25:03No.
25:04Forget it baby.
25:05Curl this entire head and then shake it out.
25:06Gorgeous.
25:07Good luck.
25:08Designers, models, this is it.
25:09We have to go down to the runway right now.
25:10So get everything together and follow me now.
25:12Okay?
25:13Let's go.
25:14Let's go.
25:15Nice.
25:16Non-wrinkling.
25:17I told Danielle just be still as a stone because this is wrinkling like crazy.
25:21Robert I need you now.
25:22Ok?
25:23We gotta go, go, go.
25:24A miracle from Heaven is needed to turn this whole thing around.
25:28Coming up on Project Runway.
25:30Everything is kind of off.
25:33It's looks like an old scene and a little bit.
25:34It looks like a old scene.
25:35It looks like an old scene.
25:36It looks like an old scene.
25:37So we're gonna be able to do it for the runway right now.
25:42To get everything together and follow me now.
25:45OK?
25:46Let's go.
25:47A little bit.
25:48Nice.
25:49kind of off.
25:50It looks like an old Halloween costume.
25:59Hello.
26:00Hi.
26:01Welcome to the runway.
26:03As you know, in fashion, one day you're in,
26:05and the next day, you're out.
26:09There are 10 of you now, but after tonight, there will be nine.
26:13For this challenge, we ask you to modernize
26:16the look of a fashion icon.
26:18We turned the tables and had the models choose the designer
26:22they wanted to work with.
26:24And we let the models choose an icon for you.
26:27We gave you $150 and two days to put it together.
26:31You were also given a consultation
26:33by Nathaniel Hawkins, lead stylist for Tresemme.
26:37The winning designer's look and model
26:39will be featured in a Tresemme ad in Elle magazine.
26:44And because of this, there will be no immunity
26:47for this challenge.
26:48Let's meet the judges.
26:52I would like to welcome back top American designer,
26:54Michael Kors.
26:56Hey, guys.
26:57I'm my own.
26:58Next, we have Nina Garcia, fashion director of Elle magazine.
27:03And our very own fashion icon, Diane von Furstenberg.
27:06Good luck.
27:08We will score your designs as they come down the runway.
27:11One of you will be named the winner.
27:13And one of you will be out.
27:17Let's start the show.
27:18I was really happy with the overall look.
27:31I could see Farrah in her in a modern way,
27:34and I was happy with it all.
27:41I was concerned about it being spacey, moony.
27:44But I think that you could see Cher in the look.
28:02I absolutely feel that I captured the modern day Audrey Hepburn look.
28:06It came out way better than I could have possibly imagined.
28:13I'm hoping that the judges love it.
28:24I could watch my guy walk down the runway all day long.
28:26Amanda added the drama and the class and the old Hollywood glam back into it.
28:31It made me feel incredibly proud and excited to be here.
28:41I think I've done a great job modernizing Catherine Hepburn's look.
28:45I'm proud of it.
28:45It's very well made.
28:46I think it's very Catherine Hepburn.
28:48My only concern is it's not as dramatic as, say, a Marilyn Monroe dress.
29:01I like Gia when she walked out the runway.
29:05I thought the dress was really modern.
29:07I was kind of hip.
29:08So I felt good about Twiggy.
29:12I think I nailed it.
29:13I'm really excited with my decision to change my garment completely.
29:30I definitely think that it's something that Pam Greer would wear in 2006.
29:36Danielle looked pretty good and I thought, okay, you know, if maybe it was a little blurry,
29:49she might look like Jackie O.
29:51It didn't look as great as I would have loved it to.
29:54I think I did a very good job styling my model.
30:06She definitely represented a new look of Diana Ross.
30:12It was exactly what I wanted.
30:13So I hope they like it.
30:22I was in my element doing the project.
30:26I think that if Madonna had come to order something from me, she would have loved it.
30:31I achieved 100% what I wanted to achieve.
30:48We've scored your designs.
30:49If I call your name, please step forward.
30:53Alison.
30:57Laura.
31:02Uli.
31:07Jeffrey.
31:12If I have called your names, congratulations, your scores have qualified you to go to the
31:21next challenge.
31:23You can leave the runway.
31:26You're safe.
31:36The six remaining designers have the highest and the lowest scores.
31:44One of you will be named the winner and one of you will be out.
31:50Let's bring out your models.
31:57I would like to start with Kane.
31:58My fashion icon was Marilyn Monroe, so I wanted to keep that Hollywood glam.
32:03But to modernize it, I thought I would use leather and some stretch fabric.
32:07That's why I chose the black Austrian crystal detail as opposed to clear rhinestones because
32:11my original vision, of course, was clear because I love sparkle.
32:15Surprise.
32:16I think it is genius.
32:18I love the mix of the leather.
32:20It's kind of goth Marilyn.
32:21Yeah.
32:22Marilyn was around today and she was a little goth.
32:24How's the back look?
32:25We didn't see the back.
32:26The back's great.
32:27The back is fabulous.
32:28The back's fab.
32:29You know, the hair, the makeup, the whole presentation, I think, is very important and I think you
32:36understand that.
32:39Vincent.
32:40That's me.
32:41Tell us who your fashion icon is.
32:44It was Twiggy and Twiggy was incredible.
32:48She was such a simple, fun, playful woman, but she was also very much a woman, very sophisticated.
32:55I wanted to keep that geometric thing going and I wanted to keep the simplicity going as
33:01well.
33:02First of all, Twiggy is still alive, so let's talk about it in present tense.
33:06I certainly don't get Twiggy.
33:08I think the pockets are like insane to me.
33:12Maybe if the sleeves were in the plaid and more short, it would have been a little humor.
33:19I just think that it could have been a little happier, a little more spirited.
33:23Yes.
33:24I don't see Twiggy.
33:25I'm sorry to say.
33:28Michael.
33:29My fashion icon was Pam Greer.
33:34She was a heroine in a lot of the movies.
33:36Strong, bold.
33:37I wanted to modernize it by using a bold color, so I chose this magenta.
33:41I think it has a great cut.
33:44To me it's very sexy.
33:45You know, you see the beautiful legs and you see skin.
33:48I didn't want to do a full pant and pink because the color is so strong, I thought that
33:51would be too much pink.
33:52I love it.
33:53I think the proportion of the shorts is perfect.
33:56I wore a lot of hot pants in my days.
33:59Those are good ones.
34:01And I think the top by itself could be an amazing piece.
34:04Fabulous.
34:05The shorts are perfect shorts, so kudos.
34:12Bradley, who is your fashion icon?
34:14Cher.
34:16And I pulled from the 70s and also recognizing that Cher is very glamorous and over the top.
34:24I don't really love that outfit too much.
34:27I think you're all over the place here.
34:29Everything's kind of off.
34:31What we've all always loved about Cher is she's the ultimate chameleon, so anything's possible.
34:37I mean, the crotch on those pants is insane.
34:40To me this looks like an old Halloween costume that you pick up in the mall.
34:49Angela.
34:50My icon was Audrey Hepburn.
34:52I immediately decided that I wanted to do a black dress.
34:56I wanted to modernize it with the texture of the fabric and accented the hip and the hem with,
35:03I call them fleurschons.
35:04It's definitely Audrey Hepburn and actually I find it timeless.
35:09I like that you have put the little details that are very you.
35:14I would want to have that dress in every color.
35:16I think it's beautiful.
35:17Thank you very much.
35:19Robert, who's your fashion icon?
35:23My fashion icon is Jackie O.
35:25I did want to sort of update it and I thought a simple clean sort of suit.
35:29She was always in very tailored clean pieces and just really try and keep in mind that,
35:34you know, she was very about clean silhouettes, very ladylike, polished, I think.
35:39I don't really see a Jackie here, even a modern day Jackie.
35:43I think the choice of color, the choice of fabric, I don't get it.
35:48I felt that maybe a modern version would be a little bit less perfect and a little less pristine.
35:53The choice of linen is probably the worst mistake.
35:58It just doesn't look as sharp as she would have walked around.
36:02Jackie O did every decade fabulously.
36:06But the connective thread, no matter what, was impeccable, neat, sharp.
36:12And it looks nothing like her.
36:15Okay, we've heard what you had to say.
36:18Models, please remember one of you will be featured in the Tresemme ad.
36:23So there's a lot of stake for you as well.
36:26We're gonna have a little chat and then I call you back.
36:29You can leave the runway.
36:39Nina, what did you think about Cain?
36:41I have to say, I am never bored with Cain.
36:44He held himself back, but still was himself.
36:49That's a beautiful dress.
36:53And then there's Angela.
36:54I would love to have that dress.
36:56Angela really surprised me.
36:58She can do sleek and beautiful.
37:00Yeah.
37:01Look modern.
37:03Michael Knight.
37:04Talk about presentation was great.
37:06Perfect.
37:07She turned the corner and I thought to myself, she looks great.
37:12She looks modern, but she feels like the character.
37:15And then when he spoke to us, he really thought about this.
37:19Yeah.
37:20His whole thing was perfection.
37:24What do we hate?
37:25I really had a problem with Vincent's choice of fabric.
37:28I thought it looked more Brady Bunch than Twiggy.
37:30I looked at the details like the sleeve, the pockets looked like they were added.
37:34I think Vincent has a problem with his presentation.
37:41Bradley.
37:42I just looked at it and I thought, was that Cher?
37:45Like what was Cher about that?
37:46Nothing.
37:47Nothing.
37:48Nothing.
37:49But the horsey was so badly made.
37:50Yes.
37:51I just thought it looked so cheap.
37:53The whole entire combination did not work.
37:57Robert.
37:58I thought Robert's was boring.
38:00I didn't get this Jackie O at all.
38:02And I was so surprised because I really thought that he would really.
38:05It's very him.
38:06Yes.
38:07It was so him.
38:08Fabric was just such a strange choice.
38:09He did like an old lady again.
38:11Like in the last challenge.
38:15So we've made our decision.
38:16Let's bring them back out.
38:17Great.
38:18Great.
38:19The six of you represent the best and the worst.
38:38One of you will be named the winner.
38:43And one of you will be named the winner.
38:44And one of you will be out.
38:46The six of you represent the best and the worst.
39:04One of you will be named the winner.
39:06And one of you will be out.
39:13Angela.
39:16You're in.
39:17Please leave the runway.
39:27And now for the winner.
39:28Congratulations.
39:29Michael.
39:30We all loved your outfit.
39:31We love the choice of color.
39:32The proportions.
39:33The fit.
39:34The make.
39:35We just thought it was perfect.
39:36Thank you all.
39:37Thank you very much.
39:39Your look and model will be in the TRESemm├й ad.
39:40In Elle magazine.
39:41You can leave the runway.
39:44I'm so excited right now about winning.
39:45You won the ad!
39:46Yes!
39:47Yes!

40:07I'm definitely, you know, living it up right now,
40:12but come tomorrow morning, it's back to square one,
40:15and I'm ready to work.
40:25Kane, you're in.
40:27Please leave the runway.
40:28Vincent, you're in.
40:40Please leave the runway.
40:54Robert, Bradley, one of you will be out.
40:58Robert, you couldn't have chosen a worse fabric
41:03for your style icon, Jackie O.
41:06And once again, we were bored.
41:10Bradley, you had chair.
41:12You could have done anything.
41:13But you gave us a poorly made, cheap-looking outfit,
41:18unworthy of your icon.
41:19Robert, you're in.
41:36We believe in your talent, but you do have to wake us up
41:39if you want to stay.
41:42You can leave the runway.
41:43That means, Bradley, you're out.
41:59Auf Wiedersehen.
42:03Bye.
42:03Good luck.
42:07This is serious fashion.
42:10Serious high fashion going on.
42:12And I made a Tinker toy.
42:15And they kicked me out.
42:16How is everybody?
42:24Hi, Tim.
42:25Bradley.
42:26Somebody had to go.
42:27Yeah, I'm out.
42:28It's my time.
42:29We're going to miss you.
42:31I'm not disappointed, you know.
42:33I feel like, given where I'm at,
42:36I did what I did, and that's it.
42:39You know, I'm going home.
42:40The challenge that I won was a Tresemme ad
42:50in Elle magazine.
42:52Are we good?
42:53It was a great photo shoot.
42:55I'm excited for Naseri.
42:57I'm excited for myself.
43:02Next on Project Runway.
43:03The next few challenges are going to be tough.
43:07Oh, my God.
43:08My initial reaction was, shut up.
43:13There are some dresses that look like garbage.
43:17To me, she looks huge.
43:18I think you just went way over the top on it.
43:21You stepped over the boundary of taste.
43:25Visit bravotv.com to learn more about the fashions
