02:46can I say Salima this is the third time that I've seen something of yours that has an execution problem
02:55to execute it well and to present it well it is so important in the designer
03:00a little transformation
03:13Andre and I go to Red Lobster
03:15and then you guys get into an argument
03:18she looks like a doormat I think it could have had a little more personality

05:04and we have questions
05:06from the loyal fans of project runway
05:09sent in via the bravo tv.com website
05:12and they have a lot to ask you
05:14before we start though
05:17I would like to know
05:19how has life been since the show's been out
05:21and you've gone back to your normal world
05:24a lot has changed really
05:26I mean I've had offers
05:27one lady
05:28wants me to be the head designer for her firm
05:31that's kind of neat
05:32and I'm going to have a charity fashion show
05:33for the children's hospital in Alabama
05:34so
05:35yeah it's really cool
05:36you've changed a lot John
05:38I have indeed
05:39like you shrank into like
05:41you look completely different
05:43blah blah blah
05:44Nick designed a red carpet dress
05:45for Brenda Strong of Desperate Housewives
05:47yes
05:48thank you
05:49thank you
05:50yeah I know it was a wonderful moment
05:51I got a call from Brenda Strong
05:53from Desperate Housewives
05:54she loved the dress I did for Nikki Hilton
05:57and she wanted that gown for the SAC Awards
06:01so I was like yeah of course
06:03so what's with your family
06:04you all sit gather around the television
06:06you get the popcorn out
06:07and you're like it's coming out it's coming out
06:08it's coming out it's coming out
06:09shhhh
06:10I sort of watch it like
06:11my hand is sort of like this
06:12like oh lord
06:13and then like my niece and nephew are watching it
06:15and I'm like what are they doing up that late
06:17you know
06:18but they sit right there in front of the TV
06:20and they're like this
06:21especially after the Barbie episode
06:22and they were so hard to get those Barbies too
06:24I mean everyone wanted to have that Barbie
06:27I was lucky to get one
06:29they went like bagels
06:31they went like bagels
06:32you can't say that
06:33how do you say that
06:35hotcakes
06:36hotcakes
06:37bagels
06:39see how would I know
06:40I'm German
06:41I would like to know
06:43who do you guys think should have been
06:46the final three
06:47Mr. Varios
06:49as we all know
06:51has been performing fantastically
06:53should have been one of the finalists
06:55you know
06:56that was my goal
06:58and I gave 110% of me
07:00the rest was up to the fashion gods
07:02Cara
07:03what about you
07:04you were the last to be eliminated
07:06so you were so close to making it
07:08how did it feel for you
07:09did you think you were going to make it
07:11I was hoping to make it
07:12I thought that I was like
07:13the engine that could
07:14do you think your elimination was justified
07:16I can't even remember it
07:18alright now I would like to bring out the final three
07:22and the first one I'm going to bring out
07:24is Daniel
07:31and our next designer is Chloe Doe
07:35and last we have Santino Rice
07:45Chloe one of the things that I want to bring up
07:55is that your fellow designers
07:58by the end of the last challenge
08:01were really questioning whether your ambitions
08:04extended beyond your boutique in Houston
08:07and whether you in fact have the passion that it takes
08:10to really make it to the top
08:14to be America's next great fashion designer
08:16let's see what I said right
08:17oh
08:18oh
08:19okay
08:20Santino
08:21if you deserve to go to Olympus Fashion Week
08:24who of the other three designers doesn't
08:28oh dear god
08:29I'm not wowed by people who are basically like
08:33maybe brilliant pattern makers
08:35but not necessarily brilliant designers
08:37I would take Cara and Daniel
08:41Daniel
08:42I know that Chloe has an established business
08:47I just think that to use Fashion Week as a catalyst
08:50would be a bit more beneficial for us
08:53I guess that's the only reason why I would say Chloe
08:57Cara
08:59there's two very classical designers to my right
09:02and there's one very extravagant man to my left
09:06I'd say take Santino with me
09:08I'd take Daniel
09:11so Chloe's the one you choose to be out
09:13what do you think about that Chloe?
09:21Chloe how do you feel about that?
09:22do you feel you have the passion?
09:23I have passion
09:24I mean I'm here
09:25I want to be designed since I was 14
09:27did that hurt you Chloe?
09:29what he said?
09:30oh yeah I want to kill his ass for months
09:31he said that you were a pattern maker
09:33you know I'll be honest I hated his guts for months
09:35because I mean it's the worst thing to say to another designer
09:38right
09:39right
09:40I knew it was cutting
09:41I knew it was a cutting thing to say
09:42yeah it was below the belt
09:43what about that cutthroat though?
09:45what about it?
09:46like what?
09:47like why is it that like you feel you have to do the cutthroat thing
09:50why?
09:51artist to artist
09:52like why the cutthroat thing?
09:54you know what I'm saying?
09:55it's just straight sh** talking
09:58you know?
09:59and there's a part of this competition
10:02that it's like a basketball game
10:04you know?
10:05it's like you suck
10:06you're momma
10:07I didn't come on the show to make friends
10:09I came on to win
10:10you know Santino
10:11I don't think you realize
10:12I mean as much as you wanted to win
10:14you just pretty much offended all of us on the way
10:17I mean if you not
10:18maybe you didn't know it but you really did
10:20but it didn't come from a
10:22it didn't come from an evil place or a mean place or a bad place
10:26like it means nothing really you know?
10:29it doesn't matter you know?
10:31it really doesn't matter
10:32since we're with Santino right now
10:34and you know we've been chatting about
10:36all this stuff that you've been saying anymore
10:39right?
10:40I'm horrible
10:41so let's take a look
10:43I don't like to be a critic
10:46I don't like to critique other designers work necessarily
10:49but Cara's really having trouble in her head
10:53Zalima's dress was really pretty
10:56pretty bad
10:57Daniel Franco I think is seriously
11:00I think he seriously has some mental defects
11:05damn it
11:06oh my god
11:07I think Daniel's full of shit
11:09I guess about Santino I actually really liked him
11:12until I found out that he would say mean things about me
11:15when I wasn't there
11:16I can't stand the sound of her voice
11:19I think he's mean
11:20I think that's the bottom line
11:22he's mean
11:23no it really should be this way Marlon
11:25and it's just like oh my god
11:28damn it
11:31eat my ass
11:33Nick will be upset with the fact that I will be showing at Olympus Fashion Week
11:38and he will not
11:39I defecated on Chloe's fabric
11:41I want your soul
11:44I'm definitely an overall like compassionate and nice person
11:49I want your blue gun
11:53you were never shy talking about all the other designers and what you thought about them
11:59you know
12:00you just say it as it is
12:01yeah
12:02you know
12:03I know it
12:04you know
12:05that's ridiculous
12:06I mean I look at the show and I'm like who the fuck is that
12:09do you really?
12:10what do you guys think about Santino?
12:12I love Santino!
12:13I think there's things that are really hurtful
12:16I didn't appreciate what he said about Diana
12:18I felt that was really really sensitive
12:20what did he say about Diana?
12:21that he doesn't like the way she talks
12:23how did you feel about that Diana?
12:25oh I was really surprised to hear it
12:27I guess because I felt like it would have been different if he didn't like my designs
12:31or you know thought I was a bad sewer or something
12:35Nick
12:36I know that the two of you have had a major falling out
12:38right
12:39right
12:40from the beginning I didn't have an easy time with him
12:42but I still respected his vision
12:44he had a lot of creativity
12:46after watching the show
12:47you know I was surprised about a lot of the things that he said privately behind the scene
12:51and that did hurt me
12:52I think words can be very damaging and very hurtful
12:56and it's not true that sticks and stones break your bones but words won't hurt you
13:01they were really painful
13:02I don't regret any of it and I don't regret saying any of it
13:05what I regret is the way that I made other people feel if it hurt their feelings
13:12because my intention wasn't to hurt their feelings
13:15we've got a lot more to talk about but we'll be right back
13:20coming up on Project Runway
13:22you really did not take anything in consideration
13:25I was listening
13:26I just didn't subscribe to what you were saying
13:28all right
13:37we're back with our cast from season 2 of Project Runway
13:40how was it for all of you guys standing there in the spotlight
13:44with the judges looking at you and having to defend yourself
13:48talk about your garment
13:49I think that's the hardest part of Project Runway
13:51it's like for me
13:52look at my work
13:53look at my work
13:54okay I don't want to talk about it
13:55I'm done with it
13:56like it, hate it, I'm done
13:57but on this show you've got to stay in there, explain it, defend it
14:01I just have to assert you all were entirely more vocal than the season 1 designers
14:07when it came to the runway dialogue
14:09why is that?
14:10we feel too much
14:11we do
14:12I mean at least in my perspective there's just so many ideas that you want to tell them
14:17and you have such a little short time to tell them all that right away
14:21all right
14:22we put a little something together that we call Project Talk Back
14:26let's take a look
14:27there's too much talk and not enough design
14:30last year none of you ever talked back
14:32no
14:33like with that Cara girl
14:35that's a big talk you just had
14:39the talk doesn't match the dress
14:41it's very simple and simple
14:43I actually disagree with you
14:44I think simplicity has its voice
14:46I didn't say it was like the worst piece of shit
14:49it's predictable
14:51and I just feel like it's
14:52I think that would have been predictable
14:53I'm saying
14:54hey
14:55it's predictable and it's too simple
14:58period
15:02Barbie's blonde
15:04she's blonde here
15:05and I think the dress still works
15:07I mean the reality is
15:08let's talk about the dress
15:10the dress is what we should talk about
15:12yeah let's talk about
15:13but you ended up making us talk about all of these other things
15:15you asked me
15:17so I told you
15:18tell me about the dress
15:20I don't really see this on a 60-year-old
15:22wow I disagree
15:24like I can't even say
15:26and what woman wears your dress on the street
15:28it's very rare that anyone wears anything they see on the runway
15:31directly onto the street
15:33that's not true
15:34I mean if it's not good enough for life
15:37then I don't want to show it
15:38I see that it is theatrics
15:40I see that women don't leave the house looking like deer
15:43it's really aesthetically not pleasing
15:46I think lingerie is sexy
15:47and I think it's supposed to come off
15:49is what I think
15:50and it's supposed to be delicate
15:52you know I'm sorry
15:53I'm sorry Nina
15:54as a designer
15:55I feel that it's always easier to dumb something down
15:58than it is to bring it up and make it bigger than it is
16:01and as a designer I think gimmicks and theatrics to me are ridiculous
16:05and women don't really need it or want it
16:07I can't imagine anyone wanting to actually truly wear that Centino
16:10I'm sorry to tell you
16:11but if it's designer versus designer
16:13you don't date the kind of girls I do
16:15I think this is something that more women would be much more marketable
16:18much more marketable
16:20I don't know
16:26to me it was like being in court
16:29talking back to a judge just wasn't in my nature
16:32you didn't see any clip of me in there
16:34I was
16:35I felt like it was like the court of appeal of fashion
16:38it was very cool I loved it
16:40in order to take the risk and to do something different
16:42you have to put yourself in a vulnerable situation
16:47and when you feel very vulnerable
16:49you yeah you have to defend yourself
16:51Centino though
16:52he did talk back quite a lot
16:55yeah it felt like a fist fight every time I got on the runway
16:58it felt like
16:59because it always felt like you really did not take anything in consideration
17:03no I took
17:04the thing is I take everything into consideration
17:07and I was listening
17:08I just didn't subscribe to what you were saying
17:10I think on the flip side though that
17:12that
17:13I mean it's I know it's cliche
17:14but a picture is worth a thousand words
17:16and unfortunately
17:17Centino chooses to speak all those thousand words
17:20I mean you can't just
17:21he came to win
17:22and he used every
17:23every single aspect
17:24every single aspect
17:25and
17:26personality, skill, talent
17:27I mean he thought about everything
17:28positive and negative
17:29yeah
17:30and that's the thing is
17:31and if it comes down to like
17:33intimidating somebody with my voice
17:35or like
17:36or a look
17:37or like I say
17:38no Nina, no Nina
17:39like that's
17:40that's frightening
17:41but I'm not a frightening guy
17:43I just know that that's intimidating
17:44I remember
17:45Nina giving a quote
17:47she was saying
17:48Centino's gonna kill me
17:50she said I thought Centino was gonna kill me
17:51and then she also
17:52I read that
17:53you know
17:54I thought that Centino was gonna jump off the runway
17:56and strangle me in my chair
17:58I mean that's pretty strong
17:59it's not like
18:00oh he doesn't like me
18:01I mean that's pretty like
18:02how does that make you feel?
18:03well
18:04it makes me feel bad
18:06Daniel Franco
18:07how about your intervention
18:09I'll call it
18:10on the judging runway
18:11during the lingerie challenge
18:13when Centino was so
18:15vociferously engaged with Nina
18:18and with Heidi
18:19it was leader versus leader
18:21I didn't like
18:23the voice Centino had against professional people
18:27I thought I was unprofessional
18:29I just spoke from my heart
18:31that's it
18:32we have a question from BravoTV.com
18:36Arian writes
18:37Guadalupe
18:38hey Arian
18:40dude have you guys all been drinking or something?
18:42yeah
18:43cause I want what they're having
18:45exactly
18:46you know
18:47did you feel that your elimination was fair
18:49even though Marla had plagiarized a dress Nikki Hilton had worn before?
18:53honestly
18:54honestly
18:55I can only
18:56give him
18:57a personal critique
18:58nobody would ever know
18:59unless they personally respond to me
19:01would know
19:02what my personal response is
19:04and that is of me
19:05and personally
19:07I believe
19:08you can't like
19:09push the boundaries
19:10and like
19:11Johnny Cash
19:12walk the line
19:13and
19:14this one's so confusing
19:15what was your question?
19:16I haven't a clue any longer
19:17what was the question?
19:18I totally lost track
19:19did you feel your elimination was fair
19:20given that Marla plagiarized the Nikki Hilton dress?
19:24yes or no?
19:25understand that Marla
19:27has
19:28an aesthetic
19:30that
19:31I cannot
19:32duplicate
19:33but Marla
19:35has an aesthetic
19:36that she cannot duplicate
19:37and Arian
19:39on national television
19:40if you can get this
19:41you rock
19:42because you believe
19:43in what is true
19:45period
19:47this is the biggest bunch of bullshit
19:51I think I've heard in weeks
19:52sorry
19:53I agree as well
19:54let's move on
19:56as Heidi's pointed out
19:58the judging process is not easy
20:00and in some times
20:02it's not very pretty either
20:04and one of the moments that is
20:06frequently talked about
20:07is Andre's meltdown
20:09on the runway
20:11and we want to take a look
20:14before we take a look
20:15I would really like to know
20:16were they real tears or weren't they?
20:19indeed they're real
20:20that's
20:21that's exactly
20:22because you do come from Los Angeles
20:24and maybe
20:25maybe
20:26no well
20:27because there's a lot of people
20:29you do
20:33what?
20:34come on
20:35come on
20:36I just moved to Los Angeles
20:38so nothing against Los Angeles
20:40but
20:41there are a lot of people in Los Angeles
20:43that do acting classes
20:44so I was wondering
20:45is he for real?
20:46we'll take a look and see
20:47let's revisit this moment again
20:50the first thing that Tim Gunn said to us
20:53when we were at the party was
20:55the next challenge was going to be about
20:57how far you would go for fashion
20:59and it's not an easy thing
21:01I've come a long way
21:03I'm so sorry
21:04this is becoming so ridiculous
21:05I'm very innovative
21:09what I had to work with was
21:11a testimony of
21:12the first and maybe the last three years of my career
21:16it sounds ridiculous
21:18but it's true
21:19I was bedraggled
21:23I'm sorry I'm sorry I'm sorry
21:26this lovely girl
21:28she's amazing

22:20it's
22:21it's
22:22it's
22:23it's
22:24and it's a really tough moment
22:25um
22:26it's such a difficult thing to do this
22:27you know
22:28and that is so hard to watch
22:29I think
22:30on
22:31on just a human level
22:32I mean
22:33I think most people see that as
22:35as really real
22:36um
22:37you're seeing somebody
22:38and it
22:39it
22:40it doesn't even feel like me
22:41and that's
22:42that's thoughtful
22:43that's thoughtful
22:44and compassionate
22:45and that's
22:46you know
22:47why
22:48exactly
22:49I mean
22:50I think
22:51people also say that you have an accent
22:52oh
22:53talk about this
22:54that you kind of drift in and out
22:55yeah I think Madonna and I had the same speech teacher
22:58so
22:59Andre you have definitely had some moments
23:02and they did not escape the other designers
23:05let's see
23:06oh
23:07I'm trying to do Andre it's just so hard because he's so expressive

23:21that was close
23:22that was close
23:23that was close

23:40gay accent
23:41we have to take literally the clothes off our backs and turn it into fashion
23:48your next challenge is going to be to design for a socialite
23:51a monsieur Christian Dior
23:52I don't know why Andre speaks that way
23:53yeah
23:54yeah that's good

24:32who said
24:34where the hell is my chiffon
24:36this is such a mystery
24:40whats funny is everyone remsvesme saying it and I dont
24:44but was it Daniel
24:45ndried thought it was me
24:46no
24:47and I
24:48I thought it was.
24:49Sound off, sound off.
24:50Neither of us was using chiffon.
24:51But I know that I do have a habit
24:53of calling Charmooz chiffon.
24:55So they sound constant.
24:56How about you say it, Daniel say it.
24:58I think so.
25:00Where the hell is my chiffon?
25:04Coming up on Project Runway.
25:06I tried to help her walk over and over and over again.
25:10At least come out with a banging outfit.
25:12I felt you deserve to at least try with someone else
25:15and try to evolve.
25:18We're back with our cast from Season 2 of Project Runway.
25:29And we have one very special man that can really
25:32help your career.
25:33One of your biggest mentors.
25:35The man that you've been bugging.
25:37And who has been very nice with you.
25:39But sometimes also a little heart, I would say.
25:42Truth teller.
25:43Yes.
25:44We have a nice little clip on you, too.
25:45Oh, dear.
25:47You really need to wake up.
25:49The work that you're creating right now is, for the most part,
25:52quite lackluster.
25:55What is this?
25:56I'm not understanding.
25:57Oh, God, Guadalupe.
25:59I mean, look at this.
26:00Trying and achieving are two different things.
26:03It shouldn't look like a float in a parade.
26:05It's that it looks so much like a bathing suit.
26:07I saw this color at Mood with you.
26:10And I thought, ugh, horrible.
26:12Really?
26:13Yuck.
26:13What are you doing?
26:14This is such a wretched excess.
26:15It looks like a jog strap.
26:20It's looking Joan Collins to me.
26:22But it's like, I dream of Jeannie.
26:24What is it?
26:24It looks like Renaissance Fest.
26:26She wants, like, a stiff, she's like elongated marshmallows.
26:30Gumby legs.
26:31You just have to say all these things on the runway.
26:33I do it.
26:34Nina, I wanted her to look like she had a big fat ass.
26:36Uh-huh.
26:37Designers, up until now, you've all sucked.
26:40However, go out there and kick butt.
26:43Carry on.
26:49What did you guys think of Tim Gunn when you first met him?
26:51As an instructor, I had immediate respect for him.
26:54So anything that came out of his mouth,
26:56I was just like, all right, you know, just like that.
26:59Because I was also reflecting how I want my students to treat me.
27:03And, you know, with respect, if I give them critiques or criticisms
27:06in regards to their homework or their draping or their patterns.
27:09I've never met anyone that could, like, give a point of view
27:12and still be selfless.
27:13I care about all of you, and I have a sincere affection for you, too.
27:17Yeah, it was a great opportunity to get feedback.
27:19I mean, I think you have a great eye.
27:20You don't miss it.
27:21You don't miss anything.
27:23Every designer has, um, a blind spot.
27:25And, um, it was really helpful when you said,
27:28oh, I'm getting another reading from your creation.
27:32Santino.
27:33Yes.
27:34You loved making impressions on Tim, didn't you?
27:36Yeah, I loved, I...
27:37Ha, ha, ha.
27:38And everyone wants to see that again.
27:40Before we do this, Santino.
27:42Yes.
27:43Can you do an impression of Heidi?
27:44God.
27:45I don't know if I've ever done Heidi.
27:47Uh, I know you didn't.
27:49Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
27:51I know.
27:52I know you didn't.
27:53So let's take a look.
27:55Designers, rock the cas ball.
27:58Whenever I'm in a bad mood and I just need to laugh,
28:01I always ask Santino to do an impression of Tim.
28:05Designers?
28:06Designers?
28:07You let me violate you.
28:08I'm crying every time I hear it.
28:13Designers?
28:14You bring me closer to God.
28:16I want to you like an animal.
28:19Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
28:21Carry on.
28:22Carry on.
28:23Carry on.
28:24Make it work.
28:25Make it work.
28:26Make it work.
28:27Andre.
28:28What happened to Andre?
28:29What happened to Andre?
28:31Ha, ha, ha, ha.
28:32Andre.
28:33How's Andre?
28:34Andre.
28:35Tell us a little bit about how you were feeling on the runway.
28:37Andre.
28:38What are you doing after the show?
28:39Ha, ha, ha, ha.
28:41Andre.
28:42Come out, come out wherever you are.
28:45Now Andre, stop hiding.
28:47I know you're in here.
28:48Let me untie you.
28:51Make it work.
28:52Make it work.
28:53Make it.
28:53Make it.
28:54Make it.
28:54Work.
28:55Work.
28:55Work.
28:56Work.
28:56Make it work.
28:57Make it.
29:06What happened to Andre?
29:07Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
29:12It's out of love.
29:15It's the sincerest form of flattery, you know?
29:17But there's a sense of humor behind it, you know?
29:21If Tim didn't have a sense of humor, like, he could have been really bent out of shape
29:24about some of the things I said.
29:25You guys were all a very outspoken bunch.
29:29Characters, and there's one person in particular who you did not want to step on the toes.
29:38Shitangy, shitangy, shitangy.
29:41What's that all about?
29:42Um.
29:45Don't talk.
29:46Let's look.
29:49Don't make me get shitangy.
29:53I'll get shitangy all over your head.
29:56My alter eagle's name is shitangy.
29:58Maybe you can, like, double up.
30:01I know that's not going to happen.
30:03Shitangy is a tell it like it is sister.
30:06Well, there's four, so that means you get two.
30:08I don't believe in fairness.
30:10I don't have to give you anything, and there's no such thing as fairness.
30:13May I please have a bottom hanger?
30:15When she came to me like that, I basically told her, no, bitch.
30:18You're not getting a pant hanger.
30:19If you would like one, I'm more than willing to give you one.
30:22I will shut you down immediately.
30:25Zulema, all of a sudden, her head just turned, and she became shitangy.
30:30Someone needs to return my form, okay?
30:33And that's just it.
30:34Where's my freaking form?
30:36That's not it.
30:36Again, you guys, watch out, because there's still, like, little shards of glass on the floor.
30:41To my horror, when I went to the closet door, the glass was still there.
30:45I don't care if you cry and cut, but you've got to cry and cut.
30:49You've got to cut at that rate.
30:50Whether it's brutal, shitangy just tells it like it is.
30:54You need to work.
30:55Don't stop and cry.
30:57Try and work.
30:58I'm like, oh, no, she did.
31:05I don't think I'm that intense.
31:07You don't think you're this intense?
31:10Well, thank you, because I appreciate your intensity.
31:18Definitely.
31:19Nick.
31:20Yes?
31:21I think another dramatic moment was when Zulema took your model, Tara, and she gave you Rachel.
31:29Take a look at this.
31:30I would like to have a walk-off between the following three models.
31:35Danielle, Tara, and Shannon.
31:39It's a motherfucking walk-off.
31:41All right, Zulema, which one do you want?
31:53I choose Tara.
31:59Literally, my throat just dropped to my stomach, and I just wanted to, like, throw up.
32:04All right, Zulema, that means Rachel will be now a next model.
32:11Rachel was very, very, very angry, and the whole time she kept looking at me like,
32:15I can't believe this bitch did this.
32:17And I was like, well, I can't believe she did it either.
32:19I change models because my model cannot walk.
32:22I can't be concerned with Nick.
32:23Do a good job.
32:24Win next week and take her back.
32:29So let's bring them out.
32:31Tara and Rachel.
32:39So how was that moment?
32:41I have to admit, I was shocked, and I felt like somebody had punched my stomach.
32:47In that moment, just us, you know, I felt like that was hurtful because I really do have a bond with my models,
32:56and I sort of treasure them as porcelain dolls, and I like to sort of, they're my muses.
33:01I understand you feel hurt.
33:03I understand the situation.
33:04I was within my right to switch models.
33:07And was it emotional for you as well, Tara?
33:09I was a little upset when I had to be with Zulema because I did hear someone wasn't happy being with her, so.
33:18Well, I mean, it was a little hard when you would come in and the designs wouldn't be finished,
33:23and you're sewing it on you, and there's pins in your back, and, I mean, one point she asked me if she could glue the dress to me,
33:29and I was like, I'm kind of a real person, but.
33:32I remember there was one dress that Zulema made that, you know, exposed one of your parts.
33:37Well, I really never noticed that it showed that much of my bottom until I saw it on TV, and it was zoomed in like three times.
33:44I made a decision.
33:45I asked her if she felt comfortable.
33:47She said, yeah, it's fine, duh, duh, duh, duh, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
33:50I said, fine, let's send it down.
33:52I don't care if I believe in a vision, I will send it down.
33:55If you're going to cause that much upset and that, you know, that distress for Nick, at least come out with a banging outfit.
34:01You know what?
34:02I tried to help her walk over and over and over again, and I didn't want you to get kicked off the show.
34:07Even though I don't think you're a good walker, even though I think you had a lot of issues,
34:10I felt you deserve to at least try with someone else and try to evolve.
34:16We've got a lot more to talk about, but we'll be right back.
34:20Coming up on Project Runway.
34:22Was there anything that you guys said that you wish you would have not said?
34:25The man is straight, and I know that.
34:27It's one of those things that, you know, first impressions.
34:30First impression.
34:31During your time here on Project Runway, we grilled you.
34:42Interview after interview after interview.
34:45You know that when we do an interview with you, that this is not just because we feel like talking to you guys for the day.
34:51We want to know what's going on, and it's quite obvious that we're going to air this on television.
34:56Right.
34:57And here are some of those moments.
34:58Oh.
34:59All evils in the world can be traced back simply to selfishness, and I think that Emmett is very selfish.
35:07Because he's just not quite talented enough to roll with the big dogs.
35:12He thinks that this is the Santino show.
35:15I love working with the other people.
35:17I don't think Marla, her taste is high fashion.
35:21Does this season really need another Wendy?
35:24I think she might be a little bit out of her league.
35:26I don't see anyone being nasty.
35:31Loop is going from person to person, sort of giving her critique.
35:36Almost as if she was Tim Gunn.
35:37Huh?
35:38Huh?
35:39Don't you even try to come right here.
35:41I would have to shut it down.
35:42Honestly, you do not want to mess with Salima.
35:45I don't think all her marbles are there.
35:47She's got like a bow and arrow in her suitcase.
35:49Daniel Frankel speaks in the language of fantasy.
35:52Okay, I am following my bliss.
35:53I get it.
35:54Keep that to myself.
35:56We talk about his girlfriend.
35:59I think there are so many beautiful women.
36:02Whatever, dude.
36:03But, you know, if he says that he's straight, you know, let the boy think that.
36:06The dude with the green hair and the yellow stuff.
36:09Okay.
36:10His name is Ramundo.
36:11What?
36:12Ramundo.
36:13Ramundo.
36:14Ramundo.
36:15Where is he from?
36:17Is there anything that you guys said that you wish you would have not said?
36:24The man is straight, and I know that.
36:26And it's one of those things that, you know, first impressions.
36:30First impressions.
36:31Anything you want to take back?
36:32I'll take that back.
36:34I definitely am sorry about that, because it's really not true.
36:37I don't think Emmett is selfish at all.
36:39In the course of this whole thing, Emmett has really proved himself to be a very selfless person, actually.
36:44So I'll be the first to say I was absolutely wrong.
36:47That's terrible.
36:48How about since watching the show, have your views about your fellow designers changed?
36:52Marla?
36:53Yes.
36:54How about for you, in watching the show?
36:56Well, that was pretty painful.
36:58God, it was really painful to hear you say that.
37:04You know, I have a creative point of view, and I have certain things that I bring into my work.
37:09And I do my thing, and I make clothes that some women seem to like.
37:14Gee, maybe I really was out of my lease.
37:18The thing is, is that, I was going to say, like, we don't have to leave them.
37:21I don't get defensive.
37:22And the thing is, is, as a 24-year-old designer straight out of school, I commend Marla, like, immensely for what she has done.
37:29She's created a store on her own.
37:31One of my biggest fears is where to start, and I'm looking at someone who's done that.
37:35What's true about life as a human being, as an American, whatever, is that we are accountable for what we say.
37:43Like, we have to, we have to kind of live all together and, and really get along.
37:50As you all very well know, this was not all about work, was it?
37:56Between dramatic moments and frazzled nerves, they were definitely moments of, how shall I put it, musical expression.
38:06And let's take a look at those.
38:08Oh, oh, good for singing.
38:10Good.
38:11I love the singing.
38:19It's fashion.
38:20It's fashion.
38:21Lighten up.
38:22Lighten up, you know?
38:23Lighten up.
38:24Lighten up.
38:25It's just fashion.
38:27It's fashion.
38:28It's fashion.
38:29It's fashion.
38:30Lighten up.
38:31It's just fashion.
38:32Lighten up.
38:33It's just fashion.
38:35Tim Gunn.
38:36Tim Gunn.
38:37If he calls your name, you're done.
38:40What happened to Andre?
38:43What happened to Andre?
38:44She said Andre.
38:46What's the matter with Andre?
38:48What's the matter with Cara, the overlock downer?
38:52Yes, it's Cara, the overlock downer.
38:55No one's gonna sew no more.
38:59No more.
39:00Daniel Franco, where did you go?
39:04Daniel Franco, where did you go?
39:08I barely got to know ya.
39:10Daniel Franco, where did you go?
39:14Don't give up.
39:15Daniel Franco, where did you go?
39:18See ya on season three.
39:19Daniel Franco, where did you go?
39:24Daniel Franco, where did you?
39:29You.
39:30Hey.
39:31Where's Daniel Franco?
39:32Where's Daniel Franco?
39:33Daniel.
39:34Daniel, come back.
39:35Dan, Daniel.
39:38Where did you go?
39:44I'm in the same .
39:48Bravo.
39:49Bravo.
39:50Bravo.
39:51Bravo.
39:52Bravo.
39:53Bravo.
39:54Bravo.
39:55That was brilliant.
39:56Another question.
39:57This one is for Heidi, and it's from Bridget Mary.
40:00Why did the judges score Santino's lingerie line higher than Daniel Franco's?
40:07Why?
40:08Why?
40:09Because she's German.
40:11It was rough.
40:13That was a really, really difficult one.
40:15It was.
40:16I kinda liked Daniel's, but it was safe at the same time.
40:21Everyone thought that Santino had a stronger point of view.
40:25It was a little out there.
40:26I appreciate that.
40:27It's cool.
40:28Daniel, we're glad you came back, and maybe we'll see you for season three as well.
40:33You might.
40:34Just might.
40:35I love you, Heidi.
40:40When we come back, we're gonna discuss which one of our three finalists has what it takes
40:46to win Project Runway.
40:49Coming up on Project Runway.
40:51Part of me wants him to bring it on.
40:54I'm, on the one hand, pleased to hear your support.
40:56On the other hand, I'm surprised by it.
41:01Okay.
41:02Now that our three finalists are gone, who do you think is gonna win Project Runway?
41:12Some of you have shared your thoughts with us on who's gonna win.
41:15I have a little clip.
41:16Let's take a look.
41:17Who do I want to win?
41:19I mean, I don't care.
41:20Well, I do.
41:21I kinda have two people that I want to win.
41:23Which of the three designers?
41:25Santino, Chloe, and Daniel V.
41:28Damn.
41:29I think that Daniel Vosovic is the most consistently good designer.
41:33I'm rooting for Chloe.
41:34I'd bank on Chloe Dow.
41:36If I had to choose, I'd probably say Danny V.
41:39Daniel Vosovic.
41:40I think Chloe's gonna win.
41:41I'm dying to see Santino's collection.
41:44If he wins, it's because he's gonna present a very stylish collection.
41:47He might be that dark horse.
41:49Who do you think is gonna win Project Runway?
41:52It's a close competition.
41:54It's so close.
41:55There's no clear winner and there's no clear loser at this point.
41:58Zulema.
41:59I actually don't have an opinion.
42:01Really?
42:02What does Chetangi think?
42:04No opinion.
42:05Daniel Franco.
42:06Okay, I dig all of them and I have trouble with all of them.
42:09Who's gonna win?
42:11Oh my God, I think probably is gonna win Danny V.
42:16Marla?
42:17Yeah, I think all three are gonna show some great collections, but I think Daniel V.
42:22I think he's got like a broad range of ability.
42:25But then also considering that Santino, now that he knows what it is that he is not expected
42:32to do, he might just end up being that he comes out with just a spectacular collection.
42:37And it's just my surprises.
42:39You know, part of me wants him to bring it on.
42:43Because I know that this is the arena where I think of all arenas, this is a Santino arena.
42:50Like this is his moment.
42:51But it's everybody's moment.
42:52Right, exactly.
42:53And what I'm slightly disarmed by, hearing you say this, is that I know that the two
42:57of you have had a major falling out.
42:59Right, right.
43:00And I'm on the one hand pleased to hear your support, on the other hand I'm surprised by it.
43:04Well, after so much that's gone by, there's other problems in the world.
43:07You know, there's other things that are far more important.
43:12But anyway, I just feel that, okay, if you're really gonna prove to America and to us that
43:17you deserve it, this is your moment.
43:20I wanna thank all of you for coming.
43:22I wanna thank you, Tim.
43:23Thank you, Heidi.
43:24Next week is our first part of the Project Runway finale.
43:28And until then, auf Wiedersehen.
43:35Next, on Project Runway.
43:39Santino!
43:40Can you believe this?
43:41I was embarrassed about my situation, you know.
43:44You withstood a tremendous amount, because you have to do this.
43:47Right.
43:48Chloe!
43:49I'm so thrilled to see you.
43:51I'm so excited to meet you.
43:52What's in your head?
43:53I wanna know.
43:54How are you?
43:55I'm fine, how are you?
43:56You didn't know I designed bags too, did you?
43:58Well, I do.
44:00I mean, you did say something worse to me in my face.
44:03I do enjoy watching other people do well.
44:07For you guys, this is like, you know, this is a nanosecond to last for your life.
44:12Let's go shopping.
44:13Good job then.
44:14I'll bitch slap them.
44:16It bothers me.
44:17Hmm.
44:18I was slightly offended.
44:20We have one final surprise.
44:23I was.
