00:00:00Good evening, welcome to the final of The Apprentice.
00:00:04After 12 weeks of reputations built and demolished,
00:00:08grown men and women sobbing their hearts out,
00:00:10tearing each other's throats out,
00:00:12or even just rubbing their conchers together,
00:00:14this is where it all comes to an end.
00:00:16All the fired candidates are here,
00:00:18as are Ruth and Michelle's family and friends.
00:00:21In just an hour's time, we'll meet the winner, the runner-up,
00:00:24and the great man himself will tell us how and why he chose Ruth Badger
00:00:28or Michelle Dubry to be his apprentice.
00:00:31Ladies and gentlemen, the final.
00:00:37This is not a game.
00:00:40This is a 12-week job interview.
00:00:43It's a dog-eat-dog situation.
00:00:4814 people have come to London in search of a job.
00:00:53There is no phone-in here.
00:00:56There is no text number.
00:00:58There is no panel of judges.
00:01:01I'm the one that decides who gets fired,
00:01:04and I'm going to be the one, ultimately, who decides who gets hired.
00:01:08They've come to battle it out for a job with Sir Alan Sugar.
00:01:12I am the most belligerent person that you could ever come across.
00:01:16Tough and straight-talking,
00:01:18Sir Alan's built a business empire worth £800 million.
00:01:22Business is not about come in, piss my money up the wall.
00:01:27He's offering one job with a six-figure salary.
00:01:31Let's go, go, go, go, go.
00:01:32To get it, they're going to have to live and work together.
00:01:35Don't fucking dick me around.
00:01:37Quite frankly, I'd like to get rid of the bleeding free of you.
00:01:41This is the ultimate job interview.
00:01:44You're fired. You are fired.
00:01:46You are lightweight.
00:01:47You're fired.
00:01:47Last week on The Apprentice.
00:01:59Today, you're going to go through an interviewing process.
00:02:03Are there?
00:02:03Yeah.
00:02:04Instead of a task,
00:02:06the candidates faced hours of hostile questions.
00:02:09You lie and cheat every day.
00:02:10Yeah.
00:02:11Sir Alan's most trusted advisers grilled them fiercely.
00:02:15You resigned or you were fired?
00:02:17No, I resigned without a doubt.
00:02:18I wasn't fired.
00:02:19A day's work in his life, yeah.
00:02:20In the boardroom, the boss got the lowdown.
00:02:23But it seems to me that he's just a chancer
00:02:25because he's quite boring.
00:02:27I found him shallow.
00:02:30Having been briefed, Sir Alan found his target.
00:02:34How long have you been in bloody business?
00:02:36Three years.
00:02:36Three years?
00:02:37You're talking as if you've been in it for 30 years.
00:02:41Paul, you're fired.
00:02:45But it wasn't over.
00:02:47He wanted two to go.
00:02:49Is your family proud of you?
00:02:50Yeah.
00:02:51Yeah?
00:02:52Do you support them?
00:02:53I do, yes.
00:02:54They get what they want.
00:02:55Yeah.
00:02:55I like that answer.
00:02:57I like your spirit and I've liked what you've done also.
00:02:59And I'm going to give you an opportunity.
00:03:02You're staying.
00:03:04But someone else wasn't.
00:03:06But Ansel, regretfully, I've got to say to you, you're fired.
00:03:09OK, thank you very much.
00:03:13Now only Ruth and Michelle remain.
00:03:17With only one task left, Sir Alan's almost ready to choose his apprentice.
00:03:2212 weeks ago, 14 candidates entered this house.
00:03:39Now just two remain.
00:03:459 a.m.
00:03:46The final phone call from Sir Alan's office.
00:03:49Hello.
00:03:50When are you from Sir Alan's office?
00:03:51Hi.
00:03:52Hi, he wants you to meet him at the boardroom at 11 a.m. sharp.
00:03:56The car's going to be coming for you in an hour and a half.
00:03:58OK.
00:03:59Bye.
00:04:04The winner, Michelle or Ruth, will get a job with a six-figure salary.
00:04:10You know, I've come in on day one and I want to win.
00:04:13I'd love to win.
00:04:14My strategy in this house has always been I just want to get on for myself.
00:04:17I don't want to pull anybody else down in order to project me.
00:04:20And I think that is a strategy that's paid off.
00:04:22I've been responsible for a lot of people and a lot of revenue.
00:04:29Where Michelle is, you know, she's very successful at what she's done, but she's younger than me.
00:04:33But she's easier to mould in comparison to me.
00:04:36You know, I'm as much of a challenge for him as he'll be for me, because I won't just roll over and let him tickle me.
00:04:44This time, the would-be executives will travel to the boardroom business class.
00:04:49For Michelle and Ruth, Sir Alan's final task will be the ultimate test of their leadership.
00:05:12In the boardroom, a surprise.
00:05:29Sir Alan's brought back some familiar faces to work for the two finalists.
00:05:34This next task I've got lined up for you is going to be a tough one.
00:05:46You're going to need the assistance of these people here.
00:05:49And we're going to get on with choosing who's going to be with who.
00:05:54So, I would have normally said ladies first.
00:05:57But, Ruth, you call it.
00:06:00Heads.
00:06:01Heads, it's towels.
00:06:02Okay, Michelle, you go first.
00:06:05Sharon.
00:06:08Ruth.
00:06:09Ansel.
00:06:13Saeed.
00:06:16Ruth.
00:06:18I'll take Joe.
00:06:19Joe.
00:06:21Okay, Michelle.
00:06:25Paul.
00:06:27And last but not least.
00:06:32I've laid on what I consider to be London's greatest venue.
00:06:37It's Tower Bridge.
00:06:39So, this task is all about putting on an event.
00:06:42It can be anything.
00:06:43It could be a casino night.
00:06:44It can be a 007 night.
00:06:46It can be a Moulin Rouge night.
00:06:48It can be a can-can.
00:06:49It can be whatever you want.
00:06:51But it's got to be colourful.
00:06:52It's got to be good.
00:06:53It's got to be drop-dead brilliant.
00:06:56The big event's going to end up on Friday night.
00:06:58We'll all be back here Saturday.
00:07:01Where I will decide who's going to be my apprentice.
00:07:04Off you go.
00:07:05I wouldn't say I've got a particularly strong team, but at the end of the day, I'm the leader,
00:07:25so it falls to me.
00:07:25Ruth has got Joe, Dunn and Ansel.
00:07:30She's hoping to tap into their sales skills and creativity.
00:07:36It's got to be an idea that bang, people instantly associate with.
00:07:40I can tell you one thing for certain.
00:07:41There won't be tension in my team.
00:07:42I've already spoken to them and I said, do you all want me to win?
00:07:45And they said, yes.
00:07:45And that's the most important thing for me.
00:07:47I'm going to work like I've never worked in my life to make sure that I win this task.
00:07:57To help her, Michelle has chosen Sharon, Paul and Saeed.
00:08:01At the end of the day, she has to win this offer at bat.
00:08:03We are, I think we are the staff.
00:08:05We are her slaves.
00:08:06We will do whatever she wants us to do.
00:08:07In fairness, I think I've got the team that's going to be more likely to have conflict in it.
00:08:14On past form, she could be right.
00:08:16Talking absolute shit.
00:08:18You're up, fuck off.
00:08:19You're not even listening to me, Paul.
00:08:20Because you're not making sense.
00:08:21So what's the fucking problem?
00:08:23I don't hear from the staff.
00:08:24Nothing else.
00:08:25I don't know.
00:08:25I'm competing.
00:08:25I ain't getting an elegant wanker, but good luck.
00:08:31It's my job at the end of the day as team manager to make sure that there's no messing around
00:08:34and that everybody works well.
00:08:36And I think I'll be able to do that.
00:08:43Tower Bridge.
00:08:44Tower Bridge.
00:08:45One of London's most famous landmarks.
00:08:52High above the Thames, the towers are linked by two giant walkways.
00:08:57In three days' time, Ruth and Michelle must stage two separate events inside these glass-walled corridors.
00:09:10Okay, I'm going to take you on to the East Walkway now.
00:09:14The East Walkway has the fantastic views over to the Docklands, Canary Wharf.
00:09:18Basically, this is a blank space, so you've got a canvas here.
00:09:21And it's pretty much up to you what you do with that space and how you dress that.
00:09:26It won't be easy.
00:09:28The space is an awkward 61 metres long by just three metres wide.
00:09:33Okay, so as you can see up here from the West Walkway, we're 42 metres above the Thames.
00:09:39People do come here for the views, so do bear that in mind for your event.
00:09:44I think the one difficulty is that this floor area is narrow and large wide.
00:09:47And so generating one focal point is going to be difficult to maintain the attention of everybody.
00:09:56The teams have been allocated makeshift offices, one in each tower.
00:10:05They've each got a healthy budget.
00:10:08And while they won't be judged on money alone, they must keep costs down and sell tickets.
00:10:13In the South Tower, Michelle's already setting out her theme to Emma from the bridge company.
00:10:22The primary idea that we've got on the table at the moment is kind of a Bond-style evening.
00:10:28We would have kind of a diamond auction.
00:10:31Right.
00:10:32We're thinking as well about having a casino.
00:10:36We're also talking about things like having fireworks outside, potentially having a speedboat outside as well.
00:10:41But that's the kind of thing that we're talking about at the moment.
00:10:45Lots of people use Tower Bridge for glamorous parties.
00:10:50And giving it a theme gives it very much a sense of focus.
00:10:53Michelle's calling her event 00 Heaven.
00:10:56She's asked Sharon to organise it and put Saeed and Paul in charge of ticket sales.
00:11:02Absolutely. Oh, no, that's brilliant.
00:11:03We've looked into hiring companies.
00:11:05We can hire the new Vanquish.
00:11:07We can position it in Cary War.
00:11:09It's a new Aston Martin Vanquish.
00:11:10Thank you. Position it outside of Cary War, in front of us Barclays Capital HSBC Lehman Brothers.
00:11:15Yeah.
00:11:15OK, because I've seen it done before.
00:11:16Yeah.
00:11:17So me and Paul, both in tuxedos, stand there, OK, with the car behind us.
00:11:22Yeah.
00:11:23With our theme, OK, and we just sell tickets.
00:11:25You know what, within two hours we'll run out.
00:11:27Good.
00:11:27I think that's a brilliant idea.
00:11:28Amazing.
00:11:29So you need to take responsibility for blagging at Aston Martin.
00:11:32That is mine.
00:11:33We'll have to pay for it, absolutely.
00:11:34Why?
00:11:35Well, free, I don't do free.
00:11:37It's just not in my own nature to do free.
00:11:38Well, you'll have to learn.
00:11:39I do pay him for it, OK, but we will get a good deal.
00:11:42Well, OK, I mean you need to learn to do free.
00:11:44Start with free, and then work up from there.
00:11:47Yeah, just, all right, fine.
00:11:48Don't just make it a call for me.
00:11:50All right.
00:11:50Liz, from the bridge company, is in Ruth's office to hear her plan.
00:11:55What we plan to do on Friday evening is a murder mystery evening.
00:11:59OK.
00:12:00Ruth wants to feature actors in a series of dramatised murders that guests will be invited to solve.
00:12:06What's the format going to be?
00:12:08OK.
00:12:08How do you see it working?
00:12:09How do we see it working?
00:12:10Basically, 125 people, we're going to involve a dinner, because the murder mystery theme will
00:12:16be run throughout the dinner.
00:12:17My concern is the amount of people for a murder mystery, and the fact that they're all going
00:12:24to be, no-one's going to know each other.
00:12:30They've got just three days.
00:12:33Michelle and Sharon are off to search for suppliers, leaving Paul and Saeed in the office.
00:12:40Just for one second.
00:12:42So, what I think we should do now, OK, is spend ten minutes here.
00:12:48And write down all the stuff that's positive, all the stuff that's bubbling, OK?
00:12:51You put down all your interesting stuff, and that can come out of-
00:12:54That's exactly what I've just said.
00:12:55I know.
00:12:56Well, I'm just saying exactly what I would like to do, and how I would like to do it,
00:12:59OK?
00:12:59I will put my interesting stuff, and it's all here already, all my results, OK?
00:13:03And then, we'll look at the business, yellow pages, to see what business is around there,
00:13:07and we'll arrange some meetings.
00:13:08That's it.
00:13:08And I think what you've got to keep in line here is there's two of us here, OK?
00:13:11Mm-hmm.
00:13:11I won't be managed, for sure, OK?
00:13:14And I'm not going to try and manage you.
00:13:15I'm respecting your space, so I'd appreciate if you respect my space.
00:13:18We'll work together.
00:13:20Saeed can't take criticism.
00:13:21He cannot take criticism, and he especially can't take it from me.
00:13:24And he gives you these backhanded compliments.
00:13:26Oh, Paul, you know, I think you're one of the most intelligent, well-respected businessmen
00:13:29I've ever met, but don't you fucking dare sort to me that again.
00:13:31Don't you do this.
00:13:32Who do you think you are, bloody?
00:13:32It's like, fucking hell.
00:13:34He's thinking I'm that thick that I'm going to be accepting.
00:13:36Oh, he's just said a nice thing about me, so whatever's coming, I don't care.
00:13:39It's just...
00:13:39Saeed is absolutely sound when...
00:13:42When is he...
00:13:46I'm just going to say, when is he absolutely known?
00:13:48When is he asleep?
00:13:52Putting differences aside,
00:13:54Saeed and Paul go in search of a sports car to promote their ticket sales.
00:13:58Now, what we're trying to do is ideally get an Aston Martin, obviously the Bond car.
00:14:04What?
00:14:04I was ringing you for, really, see if you've got any contacts, if you knew anyone with an
00:14:08Aston Martin or any garages, er, that we can ring and obviously drop your name in, which
00:14:14might help us get...
00:14:15Well, er, thanks for your help.
00:14:18Bye.
00:14:19Bye.
00:14:19What did you hear?
00:14:20It's quite funny.
00:14:21Aston is Aston Martin.
00:14:23Aston Martin?
00:14:23You said Aston.
00:14:24It's not that it matters, but you said Aston.
00:14:26Just so I just thought you'd know.
00:14:28Aston.
00:14:34Michelle and Sharon are looking for props for their double-O heaven event.
00:14:42If I give you the target of shooting, four mannequins, one casino backdrop, and the three
00:14:47dancing tubes, and I can give you, say, four giant dice to stack around your casino area.
00:14:53Obviously we're paying 600 pounds.
00:14:55600 pounds.
00:14:56But it's to the value of, like, well over a thousand.
00:14:58It's 1,500.
00:14:59Yeah.
00:15:02What could we get for 500 pounds?
00:15:04I know you're doing a great deal already, and I know we're being cheeky by pushing.
00:15:09I'm just asking the question.
00:15:11If I give you the target of shooting, four mannequins, one casino backdrop, and the three
00:15:15dancing tubes for 500.
00:15:18Yeah, I think I'd prefer that.
00:15:19Do we get the casino backdrop?
00:15:20We do, don't we?
00:15:21Yeah.
00:15:21Yeah.
00:15:21I think I'd prefer that.
00:15:25Ignoring worries about her murder mystery theme, Ruth has gone ahead and booked the actors.
00:15:30The long and short of it is, I've actually made a decision on the theme.
00:15:34Yep.
00:15:35We are definitely going to go for the murder mystery.
00:15:37The priority now is to sell tickets.
00:15:40I'm from 10 till 11.
00:15:41Sorry.
00:15:41But you've got food, you've got drink, and it's fine wine.
00:15:44Ruth's strategy is to ring contacts from previous tasks.
00:15:48Hello, can I speak to Noel, please?
00:15:50Hi, Noel, it's Ansel.
00:15:52We're organising an event on Friday on Tower Bridge.
00:15:56What we're doing is we're speaking to all the people that we've come into contact with,
00:15:59we've dealt with over all our tasks and different things we've done, and inviting people along.
00:16:03What it is, is a murder mystery evening.
00:16:06It's just going to be a bonkers night.
00:16:07We're limiting it to 80 people.
00:16:11Working for Michelle, Paul and Saeed are at London Bridge.
00:16:15They're looking for a spot where they might park an Aston Martin.
00:16:19This is a nice open space here.
00:16:20Well, this is the bridge, it's just here.
00:16:21They haven't sold any tickets yet, but Saeed decides to do some market research.
00:16:28What would you say?
00:16:30Wow.
00:16:31£200.
00:16:32£200.
00:16:33What we're doing is we're doing a 00 heaven theme.
00:16:36Okay, we're going to have speed boats, we're going to have champagne.
00:16:39All the drinks are inclusive.
00:16:41Canapes, food inclusive.
00:16:42How much are you prepared to pay?
00:16:44Maybe like £200.
00:16:45£200?
00:16:45I would say £200.
00:16:46£200?
00:16:47I would probably say like £200.
00:16:48£200, okay.
00:16:49I would say £600.
00:16:50Of course go.
00:16:52There we go, chill it.
00:16:54Because we're not in a rush.
00:16:55Do I just press?
00:16:56Yeah.
00:16:58Time isn't a problem.
00:16:59I mean, we can take photos.
00:17:01No problem at all.
00:17:02Do anything really.
00:17:02Go out for lunch with them if you want.
00:17:03I'll call it down for a second.
00:17:04In the Mediterranean, Sir Alan is relaxing on his yacht.
00:17:22But he's not happy.
00:17:25He's just been briefed on Ruth's murder mystery idea and puts in a call.
00:17:30Well, the thing is, I'm a bit pissed off.
00:17:34I've heard about your murder mystery.
00:17:36Yeah.
00:17:37And you're putting on.
00:17:38Yeah.
00:17:38Well, to be honest with you, it sucks.
00:17:40It sounds like it sucks to me.
00:17:42And you need to have more entertainment.
00:17:44Yeah, okay.
00:17:44You need to have more entertainment.
00:17:45You need to have more entertainment.
00:17:46You need to have less, game game, colour, excitement.
00:17:48And you've got to be creative about it.
00:17:49Yeah.
00:17:50I mean, at the moment, I'm at a loss of what you lot are actually going to be doing on the night.
00:17:54Yeah, okay.
00:18:00Stung by Sir Alan's criticism, Ruth calls a meeting with the agency she's hired to organise the murder mystery.
00:18:10Is it too late to pull the murder mystery and spend the extra money on a whole night of entertainment?
00:18:17I think ethically it is, yeah, because you phoned me and said, Emma, this is definitely going ahead.
00:18:25So I phoned them and said, this is definitely going ahead.
00:18:27So the actors are booked.
00:18:29Right.
00:18:29Obviously, we haven't got anything in writing.
00:18:31No.
00:18:31But, you know, you said to me that you were a woman of your word.
00:18:34I am.
00:18:35And I have booked them.
00:18:36But the point is, I've got to ensure that this event runs smoothly.
00:18:41Yeah.
00:18:41And it is an entertaining evening.
00:18:43Yeah.
00:18:44If I get on phone, then...
00:18:45These guys have got to win.
00:18:46These guys have got to win.
00:18:46Yes, I can see that.
00:18:47Somebody's got to win this.
00:18:48And if it's not right, they won't win.
00:18:49Yeah.
00:18:50If I stick with you, are you going to give me the best physical prize within most amount that I can get?
00:18:54Yes.
00:18:55Of course, I will.
00:18:57See you later, guys.
00:18:58Bye.
00:18:59At the printers, Michelle has struck a deal to have tickets printed free.
00:19:04But Paul and Saeed are starting to worry her.
00:19:08My concern is that we split up, what, six hours ago.
00:19:13In that six hours, we have been able to get all of our marketing material for free.
00:19:19Start the ball rolling on free props and free diamonds.
00:19:23Casinos, dancers, James Bond, look at lights.
00:19:25We've got proper cost projections now for all entertainments.
00:19:30We've set up lighting meetings.
00:19:32And all the guys have done so far is tell me, yeah, I found a spot on the street that I think I can sell.
00:19:40Do you know what?
00:19:40I'm going to let you into a secret.
00:19:43Saeed isn't a salesman.
00:19:44He's a con man.
00:19:45Because Saeed doesn't actually settle.
00:19:47He cons.
00:19:50They're doing my head in.
00:19:52I didn't anticipate that they would be like this.
00:19:54I thought that they would both get on.
00:19:55And I thought they'd always got on and, you know.
00:19:58So you're going to know what it's been like for me having to work with them.
00:20:01It's been appalling.
00:20:02Back at the house, Ruth's team are emailing contacts from previous tasks.
00:20:16It sounds like you're getting all of them.
00:20:17It's not.
00:20:18So now that we've got Topshop, Wentworth.
00:20:21Just forms, yeah.
00:20:22Do you want all those?
00:20:23Yeah, I'll speak to him.
00:20:24Ruth is upstairs, alone.
00:20:32Today was pretty bad.
00:20:34I got very stressed.
00:20:36The more I think about the murder mystery idea, the weaker it gets.
00:20:40But I do find the more you discuss things and rip it to shreds,
00:20:44the weaker anything becomes.
00:20:47We just track them down and do it that way.
00:20:49I just need to actually find the company.
00:20:51If I can't remember the company name, we can't do it.
00:20:54There's a difference between hired and fired.
00:20:57And even though it's one letter, it's going to change the rest of my life.
00:21:01And that is very, very daunting.
00:21:05This is the hardest thing we've done.
00:21:07In the morning, Ruth gets an early start.
00:21:27But Michelle's in bed, wondering what to do about ticket sales.
00:21:34What I'm saying, I'm not being rude.
00:21:38I'm just saying, OK, if you want me to sell it at 80, we can sell it at 80.
00:21:41If you want me to sell it at 100, we can sell it at 100.
00:21:43All right, give me a car and I'll sell it at 150.
00:21:46Saeed, right, I cannot give you...
00:21:48You keep banging on about giving me a car.
00:21:50I ain't got no money to give you a car.
00:21:52We're not sitting in a house.
00:21:53Michelle, you need to take a deep breath, please.
00:21:55Just calm down.
00:21:55I'm talking to you.
00:21:56I'm doing your head in.
00:21:57I'm doing your head in again?
00:21:58Hmm.
00:21:59How?
00:21:59What have I done?
00:22:00What have I said to you?
00:22:01I'm talking to you.
00:22:02OK, I'll tell you what the situation is, Michelle, all right?
00:22:04You are stressed out.
00:22:07When you say really brashly, you're stressed out, Michelle.
00:22:11Chill out.
00:22:12Try thinking about the situation that I'm in, Saeed.
00:22:14All right.
00:22:14Because, yeah, I am stressed.
00:22:15OK.
00:22:22We've not got the contortionist.
00:22:23We've got, um...
00:22:25Ruth's ticket sales strategy is working.
00:22:28A caterer she hired on a previous task has taken the bait.
00:22:32There's been a murder on the bridge.
00:22:33That sounds fun.
00:22:34It will be fun, without a doubt.
00:22:36Great.
00:22:36So there's your four tickets.
00:22:38Fantastic.
00:22:38I've got your check.
00:22:40Lovely.
00:22:41Pleasure doing business again.
00:22:42Good luck.
00:22:42Good luck.
00:22:43I've got some of the questions that I need to ask you.
00:22:45Yeah, sure.
00:22:45We're doing a raffle, so if you want to donate any prizes,
00:22:47we will actually say as we're doing it,
00:22:49Donated by a red snapper.
00:22:50This isn't a ticket. This isn't a hit list.
00:22:51It is.
00:22:52Well, let's get something nicely wrapped.
00:22:54That's our best-house champagne.
00:22:56Oh, wow.
00:22:56Nicely wrapped.
00:22:57Great.
00:22:58That's like a Bollinger or a Grand Darnay or something.
00:23:01So that's worth about £50 a bottle.
00:23:02Great.
00:23:03So premium.
00:23:03Brilliant. Thank you.
00:23:05Probably one other.
00:23:06Yeah.
00:23:07What, red, white, champers?
00:23:09Oh, if we can have another champers, that'd be great.
00:23:10OK, let's do a pink one.
00:23:12OK.
00:23:18Up late, but now on the road,
00:23:20Michelle's team rings some contacts from previous tasks.
00:23:23What are you doing on Friday night, Cap?
00:23:25Um, I wish I could come and listen to the party,
00:23:29but unfortunately I've made plans already.
00:23:31Oh, this is good.
00:23:32Oh, right, you've made plans.
00:23:34So has someone already talked to you about it, have they?
00:23:36Yes, yeah.
00:23:37Nick sent us an email.
00:23:39Ah, right, OK.
00:23:40Is many people...
00:23:41I think Joel's going,
00:23:42and I think most of the sales boys are going to be going as well.
00:23:46Oh, right, OK, cool.
00:23:47Right, well, we'll speak to you in a bit about that then.
00:23:50OK, no problem, Paul.
00:23:51Take care.
00:23:52Bye.
00:23:52The other fucking team have completely got one over on us.
00:23:56They've got every corporate contact,
00:23:57and they've shafted us, they've got their tickets sold,
00:24:00they've beaten us already on ticket sales.
00:24:02Yeah.
00:24:02You, as the salespeople, should now be thinking,
00:24:04fuck me, who am I going to call, where am I going to be?
00:24:07Just get on with your calls.
00:24:13Ruth is on her way to another contact
00:24:15who's already agreed to buy tickets.
00:24:19Good to see you again.
00:24:22But within the last few minutes,
00:24:25someone else has been in touch.
00:24:28It's something you just called me.
00:24:29You are joking.
00:24:31We got there first.
00:24:32Yeah.
00:24:33Well, he's actually got a very good deal.
00:24:34He has.
00:24:35He has.
00:24:36But they have got a theme
00:24:38that is very, very ordinary.
00:24:40Where with us...
00:24:40Bond.
00:24:41I love Bond.
00:24:42Great.
00:24:43You will love our evening.
00:24:44I mean...
00:24:44Nick, you will love our evening.
00:24:46My parents might love your evening.
00:24:48The view is unbelievable.
00:24:50We're on the east walkway of the tower.
00:24:52So when you actually...
00:24:53Yeah.
00:24:53Here?
00:24:54Yeah.
00:24:54So you're actually along there.
00:24:55Oh, wow.
00:24:56Yeah.
00:24:57Say, 75 quid, though.
00:24:5875.
00:24:59So he's born 65.
00:25:00That's fine, but you're not going to get the food,
00:25:02you're not going to get the entertainment,
00:25:03and you're not going to get the personality of the host
00:25:05in their event.
00:25:06But I think it's very much...
00:25:11This event is entertainment,
00:25:13not just standing around having a drink.
00:25:15Okay.
00:25:17I could go on for another time.
00:25:18No, no.
00:25:19I'm just...
00:25:20Right, so if I do...
00:25:21You're in first.
00:25:22Right, if I do 20 tickets...
00:25:25Yes, please.
00:25:26I'll charge you for 18 at 75 quid.
00:25:28Yeah.
00:25:28Great.
00:25:29We need...
00:25:29Have you got cheque?
00:25:30I got the cash this morning for you.
00:25:33Hi there.
00:25:33Can I speak to you for one minute?
00:25:34Hi there.
00:25:35We're hosting an event at Tower Bridge on Friday.
00:25:37With no Aston Martin,
00:25:39and most of their contacts spoken for,
00:25:42Paul and Saeed decide to flog tickets on the street.
00:25:45Can I talk to you about an event we're doing
00:25:46at Tower Bridge on Friday?
00:25:47In a rush, sir.
00:25:48You in a rush?
00:25:50Jesus Christ.
00:25:52This...
00:25:53Everyone's in a rush on this bridge.
00:25:54Everyone here is on a mission.
00:25:55Let's just go to...
00:25:56So we need to go to a place where people aren't in a rush.
00:25:58Do you understand what I mean by...
00:25:59We had a car now, and...
00:26:00You and I in a car...
00:26:01Mate, you don't have to sell that idea to me again.
00:26:04Have you ever been to Tower Bridge for a do?
00:26:13Awesome, OK?
00:26:13The whole West Wing is just going to be...
00:26:15Fantastic views of the city, OK?
00:26:17What we need to do now...
00:26:18Guy, we're just going to come in here a bit.
00:26:19...is sell to you guys, OK?
00:26:20We need to sell some tickets.
00:26:21I know these guys a lot.
00:26:22So, you know these guys, do you?
00:26:23Yeah.
00:26:23Yeah, you all right?
00:26:24How's it going?
00:26:25Good.
00:26:25The problem I have is that Saeed can't keep his fucking mouth shut.
00:26:29And then as soon as it looks good,
00:26:30he'll just jump on the back of it.
00:26:31If I crash and burn, he'll quite happily step out of it.
00:26:33So, you know, I'm really, really pissed off.
00:26:36Canapes, you've got drinks included as well.
00:26:3865 quid.
00:26:39We've got a Bond look-alike tomorrow night.
00:26:41We've got a photographer.
00:26:42Diamond auction.
00:26:43It's going to be a fantastic event.
00:26:44There's a lot of people turning up there as well.
00:26:47So, go on, mate.
00:26:48No, I've done that, mate.
00:26:49I've done that before.
00:26:49All right, OK.
00:26:49So, basically, what are you guys doing tomorrow night?
00:26:51Because we've got tickets to sell
00:26:52and we want to sell some tickets
00:26:53because this is going to be an absolute awesome event.
00:26:55I'm hating this.
00:26:56It's the most frustrating thing I've ever done.
00:26:58And this whole thing is working with him for that long.
00:27:01He's an absolute fucking nightmare.
00:27:03He's going to ruin this for Michelle, I'll tell you.
00:27:05He is going to fuck it up.
00:27:07Shall we not go in there?
00:27:09I'll have to wait for Marcus to come out of the hotel anyway.
00:27:11All right, I'll be in there anyway.
00:27:13Cock.
00:27:17Hello?
00:27:18Hi, Michelle, it's Paul.
00:27:19How are you doing?
00:27:19Hi, darling, I'm all right.
00:27:20Right, we're just doing this call now
00:27:22just to let you know the situation, OK?
00:27:24Yeah, we can.
00:27:24We've got concerns that we haven't sold any tickets, really,
00:27:27on any major scale.
00:27:29Yeah, and from my point of view, I'm shitting myself
00:27:31that there's nobody coming to this party tomorrow.
00:27:33We are concerned.
00:27:35We've only sold four tickets, so...
00:27:37Have you sold any at all yet, Michelle?
00:27:39No.
00:27:44It's food and wine in the evening.
00:27:47It starts from 8 o'clock.
00:27:48The capacity is only 80 strong.
00:27:50OK, so if I can just speak to you about...
00:27:52Having exhausted their list of contacts,
00:27:54Ruth has put her team on the streets too.
00:27:58Where have you been, girl?
00:28:00You wouldn't believe that.
00:28:01What have you been?
00:28:01Right, so I've just been into the second most important place
00:28:04in Britain when it comes to insurance,
00:28:05and I've just been removed by security.
00:28:09What are you doing, have you?
00:28:10Was that down around the corner?
00:28:11Yeah, this building here, I've basically...
00:28:14I've got through to two separate companies,
00:28:17but then apparently they don't like cold calling.
00:28:18I did have a security pass, so they removed me.
00:28:22Brilliant.
00:28:23Come on, let's get back in the car.
00:28:24Yeah, let's get back in the car.
00:28:25With Sir Alan's criticism still worrying her,
00:28:36Ruth had decided to jazz up her event.
00:28:40It's all right, we've been doing that.
00:28:41The murder mystery idea will now be in period costume.
00:28:45How times do you have eight?
00:28:47Eight.
00:28:48If you suddenly have men in something like this,
00:28:50it's a completely different period.
00:28:51I have to have them looking very colourful, I know that.
00:28:54Fine.
00:28:55So I prefer...
00:28:56If this is what you want, I can do it.
00:28:57That's not a problem, but it is not Victorian,
00:28:59and it will not look Victorian,
00:29:01because it's britches and it's...
00:29:02Can we do that with black trousers?
00:29:05I think it would look funny.
00:29:12It's late, and both teams still need to sell tickets.
00:29:21Doorn and Ansell have got permission to work the floor
00:29:28at a prestige car launch.
00:29:31When the champagne starts flowing,
00:29:33they hope to sell at £75 a ticket.
00:29:36It is going to be mental fun.
00:29:37There's all kinds of people,
00:29:38very similar to the kinds of people that's coming this evening.
00:29:40Can I tempt you out off your sofa tomorrow night?
00:29:43Cos it's murder mystery, people are involved,
00:29:45we've got actors and we've got magicians.
00:29:47We have got very...
00:29:48I think we've got very few left, right?
00:29:49So, are you three in?
00:29:51Yes.
00:29:52Okay.
00:29:53Add £100 per three, then.
00:29:55I can't do it.
00:29:56Seriously, it's going to be a great night.
00:29:57Sweetie, I hear you.
00:29:59But the three of us and £100 cash in my pocket,
00:30:02so the answer to you is,
00:30:03do you want three for £100?
00:30:05If you can't do that, that's absolutely fine.
00:30:07I'll go to my other party.
00:30:09Let's do something with the numbers.
00:30:10I can't do £100.
00:30:11Okay, so let's do just something with the numbers.
00:30:12£150 we can do.
00:30:14No.
00:30:14But you can't arrange it.
00:30:15But I can't.
00:30:17Let's do the right side of £120.
00:30:19Let's do £130, we're done.
00:30:21Let's do £120, we're done.
00:30:23Come on, £125.
00:30:24£120.
00:30:26Right, are you there?
00:30:27Yeah.
00:30:28Have you sold any?
00:30:29Yeah, we've got...
00:30:30It looks like we've done three tickets there, so...
00:30:33All good.
00:30:33All right then, mate, thank you.
00:30:34Speak to you in a bit, bye.
00:30:35Bye.
00:30:41So far, Paul and Saeed have sold just four tickets for Michelle.
00:30:46And the news has reached Sir Alan.
00:30:49If it's looking like a bloody disaster, you need to get selling done and get those tickets
00:30:53out, okay?
00:30:54Otherwise, you're going to have a disaster on your head, you know?
00:30:57I completely agree with you.
00:30:59It doesn't matter what kind of event you've got on there, how wonderful and how spectacular
00:31:03it is.
00:31:03If you've got no customers in there, then it's going to be a bloody joke.
00:31:07Yeah.
00:31:07And you need to get, you need to get control of this Paul and Saeed and make sure they're
00:31:13on your side.
00:31:14I know.
00:31:15Not keeping your eye on what people with them.
00:31:19That is wonderful.
00:31:21Fucking great, the battery's just gone dead.
00:31:24You just hung up on him?
00:31:25No, I didn't hung up on him.
00:31:26The battery's just gone dead.
00:31:28You two are my boys.
00:31:30You're my sales boys.
00:31:31I picked you.
00:31:31I recruited you because I thought you were going to sell.
00:31:34And I've got four confirmed ticket sales.
00:31:36I know, but we've been pitching all day, Michelle.
00:31:39All day we've been pitching.
00:31:39Sorry, you just listen to me, please, because it's me that's going to get this up the fucking
00:31:42ass big time when I feel.
00:31:43I'm listening.
00:31:43I'm listening.
00:31:43Go on.
00:31:43It's two of you.
00:31:45Why aren't one of you on the phone and neither one is in the door selling?
00:31:48Nine o'clock this morning, I've been relentlessly calling businesses and selling.
00:31:51Okay?
00:31:52Pitching, selling, pitching, selling.
00:31:53Now, you've not been selling because you've only sold four tickets.
00:31:55So you've been calling people.
00:31:56Pitching, pitching.
00:31:56I've been calling people, yes.
00:31:57I want to ask you, right?
00:31:58Whether you agree with me or not, you're a loose cannon.
00:32:00And I think you've got the potential to absolutely fucking kill this for me.
00:32:04We are clearly confined.
00:32:06Look at me, Saeed, because that's rude.
00:32:08Sharon?
00:32:08No, you're being rude.
00:32:09I'm telling you something and I want you to let them for one to your life.
00:32:12Guys, you know what?
00:32:13I think I've just had enough of you and talking to me like I'm some sort of idiot.
00:32:17Have I not just...
00:32:18I was the PM, but no, listen.
00:32:19The PM just told me what's going to happen and that's what happened.
00:32:21Don't ask me anything.
00:32:22Do you deal with your section?
00:32:23I'm going to ruin this for her.
00:32:24Listen, how am I going to ruin it?
00:32:25I'm the only one that sold today.
00:32:27Exactly, so stop shouting.
00:32:28Hey, excuse me, Lena.
00:32:29Hold on, listen.
00:32:29We've all been selling, okay?
00:32:31Now, what I'm trying to say is we have generated a lot of interest today and tomorrow we'll get
00:32:35ourselves...
00:32:35We've also generated a lot of wasted energy.
00:32:37And you've also generated a lot of fucking friction.
00:32:39Okay.
00:32:39You live in fucking Disneyland.
00:32:41This is fucking amazing.
00:32:42Listen.
00:32:42So listen to me.
00:32:43Do you know what?
00:32:44No, Saeed, listen.
00:32:44It just seems to me that you've planned this little session here with your friend over there
00:32:50just to have a go at me because that's what's happened.
00:32:51This is my colleague.
00:32:52Your colleague and your little friend.
00:32:53I'll tell you something, Michelle.
00:32:54I'm literally this much, okay, to actually turn around and being really, really horrible.
00:33:00What I'm just trying to say to you is I've taken enough.
00:33:02I've taken enough.
00:33:10The end of day two.
00:33:12Michelle has just 24 hours to prevent 00 heaven turning into 00 hell.
00:33:23Hello, could I speak to Ingrid, please?
00:33:36The morning of the event.
00:33:38At the house, the phones are red hot.
00:33:40You know, shopping experience would be fantastic.
00:33:43I'll do them for 20.
00:33:45I'll give you two free tickets.
00:33:47You take 15 off me.
00:33:49Now, that's a bargain.
00:33:51Okay.
00:33:52Hang on.
00:33:52Let me go and double check.
00:33:54All right.
00:33:55Okay.
00:33:55It does to me.
00:33:56Yeah, we'll go for that.
00:33:59Great.
00:33:59Thanks a lot.
00:34:00Bye.
00:34:01Come on, then.
00:34:01As they leave for the bridge, Ruth is just 16 tickets away from selling out.
00:34:08We've got two things to talk about, the event and the sales, so let's focus on the sales now.
00:34:12Michelle has started her day with just 11 tickets sold.
00:34:16She decides on a corporate reshuffle.
00:34:18We know that the teams are different, so Syed and I and Paula and Sharon are going to be together.
00:34:23I can't stress it enough, the absolute priority is getting rid of these tickets.
00:34:26Obviously, try and pitch at 65 quid a ticket, but be able to go down to 50.
00:34:30If we need to go down to 45, then go for it.
00:34:32If you need to go any lower than 45, just give me a call.
00:34:36We should look at getting smarts and doing corporate deals.
00:34:38If someone's going to try and give us leads and we get 10 ticket sales out of them, don't be afraid to chuck one in for free.
00:34:44We just need to be creative.
00:34:45I'm going to trust you and we just need to get rid of these things.
00:35:00Hiya, it's Michelle.
00:35:06About these tickets.
00:35:09We've scoured London, okay, we've secured Tower Bridge.
00:35:13First time, it's open to the public for an entertainment.
00:35:15Give us some figures to play with and then I'll tell you what we can do.
00:35:17Well, say if all of us in this office were to go, but then we've got two offices in Wapping.
00:35:21Fine, okay.
00:35:21So if we were to invite them as well and there's maybe five, ten people, what can we do?
00:35:25Fantastic.
00:35:25Is it nine all together then, yeah?
00:35:27Michelle's new partnerships quickly deliver results.
00:35:30Okay, thank you very much.
00:35:31Cheers, Ian.
00:35:32See you.
00:35:33Bye.
00:35:33Do 20 at 45, and that's 20 quid off the ticket price.
00:35:36Yeah.
00:35:37And if we can do 10, we'll do 10 at 50, and that's 15 pounds off the ticket price.
00:35:40Okay.
00:35:41Four tickets for 50 and one for free, and it's exactly the same amount, that's 200 pounds.
00:35:45Just for four, we can do it 50 each, and that's it really.
00:35:48So how many people do you want 15?
00:35:50Here's the tickets.
00:35:5160 pounds each.
00:35:52Yeah.
00:35:52As discussed.
00:35:53By one o'clock, Michelle has sold over half her tickets.
00:35:57I'm going to be impressed.
00:35:59Fucking national TV, I can't believe you did that.
00:36:03On the other team, Ruth has even better news.
00:36:08We've just sold another two, so we've only got two tickets left.
00:36:12Woo!
00:36:13Two, one, tell her our news.
00:36:14And we just sold another two as well to see you.
00:36:18So we were just going to ring you, but we took a view that you've got tickets anyway, we should go ahead.
00:36:23We've sold out.
00:36:24That's what I'm saying.
00:36:27Fat zero.
00:36:28Fat zero.
00:36:29Fat zero.
00:36:29Yeah.
00:36:30Like, fuck for that.
00:36:33Right.
00:36:43Across town, Michelle seals one last big deal.
00:36:47Nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen.
00:36:52Perfect.
00:36:52And we're setting you to get it back.
00:36:53But as the working day draws to a close, Michelle comes up with a new plan.
00:37:00What are we doing about these prices?
00:37:02Are we keeping them at 65 or are we going to drop them a bit?
00:37:04Drop them a bit, mate.
00:37:04Just sell them.
00:37:05Just drop them and sell them.
00:37:07Super salesman Paul will hit the streets.
00:37:10It's all sponsored by Aston Martin and Harrods.
00:37:12Right.
00:37:12So you can imagine it's quite an exclusive event.
00:37:14Anyone got any plans tonight?
00:37:15Because I'll sell them for £20 right now.
00:37:16£10 each.
00:37:17All your drinks, food, everything.
00:37:19Mate, I would love to see you there tonight.
00:37:21You're going to get dressed in your suits and come down.
00:37:23Yeah?
00:37:23Sweet.
00:37:24Right, OK.
00:37:25Right, well, thanks, guys.
00:37:26There's your tickets.
00:37:26There's two there.
00:37:27While Paul sells, Sharon's been told to organise the event's finishing touches.
00:37:34Hiya.
00:37:35See, that size is probably the kind of size that I was thinking of.
00:37:38The size of ours?
00:37:39That's no problem. We have a slightly smaller version of this.
00:37:42That would be great.
00:37:42And we can get more towards that shape.
00:37:45Could you make your flowers look like a cocktail?
00:37:47Yeah.
00:37:50Sir Alan has laid on Tower Bridge.
00:37:53In return, he expects two quality events.
00:37:57With just an hour to go, Sharon's got it all to do to get 00 heaven up and running.
00:38:02Your expertise. We're doing the dancers, so we're starting from that point because it's all blocked off.
00:38:07What I'd like you to do is kind of take the pose.
00:38:09So start off like that, so if you've got a gun.
00:38:11Yep.
00:38:11Go to the side, side, and then lead that into your kind of shimmer.
00:38:19Ruth's team arrive to set up their murder mystery.
00:38:23It's going to blow all over.
00:38:25Blowing a girl.
00:38:25Lots of rejection.
00:38:28You can do a lot of running.
00:38:29Lots of running around, which will add to the activity.
00:38:32Yes.
00:38:32So that's fine.
00:38:33Apart from a small cast of actors, there's not much in the way of props.
00:38:37Just a few tables and chairs.
00:38:39Great. I just need to set.
00:38:41Yeah.
00:38:42And costumes for her team.
00:38:44Wow, don't you look fab.
00:38:49What have you got?
00:38:50You fucking wench.
00:38:53Look at that.
00:38:54It's my card.
00:38:54Like a kid.
00:38:55You've got full-on Madonna cones going on.
00:38:56Look at that.
00:38:57I know.
00:38:58It's fab, isn't it?
00:38:59Look.
00:39:00But the costumes are not to everyone's taste.
00:39:04Ruth's chosen what she's chosen, like always.
00:39:07But at the moment, I'm wearing it looking like a pimp.
00:39:11So it's not great, but it's such is life.
00:39:15At least Ansel can get into his.
00:39:20Do you know what happened?
00:39:23Oh, God.
00:39:25On the other walkway, details and styling are key.
00:39:29How far do you want it moved down?
00:39:31Just a little touch.
00:39:33Are you ready?
00:39:33Shall we try it there?
00:39:40We've got two hosts coming.
00:39:42They're going to be meeting and greeting everybody.
00:39:44We're going to give people a red wine, people a white wine,
00:39:47a fruit juice, whatever it is that they want.
00:39:50For both teams, it's showtime.
00:39:54How many of you feel?
00:39:55Fantastic.
00:39:56Good evening.
00:39:57Lovely.
00:39:58Hello, what's your name?
00:40:00Brilliant.
00:40:01What's your name?
00:40:01It's Chriscoff.
00:40:02Chriscoff.
00:40:03I said, good evening, ladies and gentlemen.
00:40:09Good evening, sir.
00:40:11On the east walkway,
00:40:13Ruth's murder mystery kicks off
00:40:15with a last-minute change to the format.
00:40:18Zoe's dancer!
00:40:19Next, the murder mystery actors take to the floor.
00:40:32Next, the murder mystery actors take to the floor.
00:40:48Coward, sir!
00:40:50Coward!
00:40:51Yes, Coward!
00:40:51Did you call me a coward?
00:40:53Did you call me a coward?
00:40:53Yes, that's the way to the park boys now.
00:40:55But where's Farquhar?
00:40:56I don't think they might be over there.
00:40:58I'm not the same.
00:40:59I'm speaking with daddy.
00:41:01Excuse me!
00:41:02That's my girl!
00:41:04I'm not the enormous amount of trouble to set this up.
00:41:06The murder mystery, will you please stop arguing?
00:41:10On the west walkway, Michelle's double-oh heaven night has begun.
00:41:16I'll see you.
00:41:17Have yourself a drink.
00:41:18A glamorous evening of cocktails, canopies and look-alike celebrities.
00:41:24Thank you for coming.
00:41:26To see so many of you around is absolutely brilliant.
00:41:28It really is.
00:41:30To complete the secret agent theme,
00:41:33Michelle's laid-on target shooting...
00:41:36Wow!
00:41:36Oh, yeah!
00:41:38Sexy dancers...
00:41:40A high-rolling casino...
00:41:42And a diamond auction.
00:41:45Show to this gentleman for $6,000 of sexy pants!
00:41:48There's only one thing missing.
00:41:54The boss.
00:42:14Unknown to the finalists,
00:42:16Sir Alan's put himself on the guest list.
00:42:22He begins in double-oh heaven.
00:42:27Hiya!
00:42:28Who's in there?
00:42:29Ah, that'll be telling.
00:42:31Do you want casino money?
00:42:32See what you can make at $100?
00:42:33Is that Saeed out there?
00:42:37If I had my way, it would be, but no, it's a dummy, unfortunately.
00:42:44Oh, yes!
00:42:45Insurance again, look!
00:42:46We're on a roll, we're on a roll now.
00:42:48We'll try it again.
00:42:50We've done again.
00:42:51I've doubled your money, that's what I promised I'd do, but now I'll have to go.
00:42:56Next, it's Ruth's turn to face the surprise guest.
00:43:08One dead, one stiff?
00:43:09Come on!
00:43:10It's not that bad, is it, sir?
00:43:11Who are you?
00:43:12My name's Nathan Oskar.
00:43:13Oh, right.
00:43:14Okay, good.
00:43:15That's the department store in New York City.
00:43:16I'm sure you've seen it.
00:43:17Fifty person Lexington.
00:43:18Anyway, I've got business to attend to with a few shareholders in this country, and I
00:43:27think I'm going to put some money there while you show them.
00:43:48I'm sure you've got business to attend to with a few shareholders in this country.
00:44:06Twelve weeks ago, 14 candidates entered this house.
00:44:11Now, two are left, and they're packing to leave.
00:44:16Yesterday, I genuinely did think this is the worst day of my life.
00:44:21It was horrendous.
00:44:23But, ultimately, we put an event on, and the event worked, and we had people, and those
00:44:28people enjoyed it.
00:44:29I think I made a mistake by going with the murder mystery theme as the main theme.
00:44:34It didn't actually end up as it meant to, and I'll be completely honest with that, but
00:44:38it looked good.
00:44:39It was quite creative, and it was very ambitious, so...
00:44:46hmmm.
00:45:00It was more than that long ago.
00:45:01In the boardroom, Michelle and Ruth are joined by the teams they chose to help them.
00:45:08Hello?
00:45:16Hi, Jenny. Will you send them in, please?
00:45:18Yes, Helen.
00:45:20You can go through to the boardroom now.
00:45:38Well, how do you think it went yesterday, Ruth?
00:45:44Personally, I feel I achieved everything that I set out to achieve,
00:45:47which was to fill the room with people who wanted to be there,
00:45:51put on good food, good wine, good entertainment,
00:45:54and make sure that everybody in there went out thinking, what a night.
00:45:58So how did your team back you up nicely, do you think?
00:46:00Without a doubt.
00:46:01Last night, every single member of my team were fantastic.
00:46:06Right, Michelle, you seem like you had a hard week,
00:46:09from what I can understand, yeah?
00:46:11Would you say it's one of the hardest weeks you've ever had in your life?
00:46:14My week's been absolutely shit, yeah.
00:46:16Really? As good as that, yeah?
00:46:17Yeah.
00:46:18If I'm going to be perfectly honest...
00:46:20Well, I mean, it is the final task,
00:46:22and, you know, I wasn't going to set a walk in the park, really, was I?
00:46:24The guys worked hard, and I'm not questioning that at all,
00:46:27but I do feel like I probably made a mistake
00:46:31structuring the team the way that I did.
00:46:33What about our friend down the end there, Said?
00:46:35You told me that...
00:46:36My friend, Said, at the end.
00:46:37Yeah, I mean, at the end of the day, he worked, he worked hard,
00:46:40and he got a lot of sales, and again, I said thank you,
00:46:43and I mean that, he did work hard.
00:46:46Right, OK.
00:46:47And Paul also worked hard, yeah?
00:46:49Yeah, he did.
00:46:50The cleverest thing you've done was you picked Sharon,
00:46:53because she's an event manageress, isn't she?
00:46:54Yeah, exactly, that's why, as soon as you said events management,
00:46:56I wanted Sharon and my team,
00:46:58because that's what I wanted her to do, event management.
00:47:00Let's actually look at some money now, shall we?
00:47:08Margaret, tell me about the money that Michelle raised on this event, yeah?
00:47:13Well, Michelle's team sold 73 tickets,
00:47:18raising £1,647 from ticket sales,
00:47:22and they also made a further £250 profit on the diamond auction.
00:47:31Total money they brought in
00:47:32was £1,897.
00:47:37OK.
00:47:38And Nick, how did Ruth's team get on?
00:47:41Well, Invicta planned to sell 80 tickets,
00:47:43in fact, sold 83,
00:47:45generating sales of £3,592.
00:47:49Right, £3,592 plays £1,897.
00:47:57But don't let's get carried away.
00:47:59This event's not just going to be judged
00:48:01on the amount of money you've taken.
00:48:04I think in Michelle's defence,
00:48:05for all the problems that were caused in the run-up to it,
00:48:08there's no doubt about it
00:48:08that the event was a real enjoyable night for us,
00:48:11and everyone did enjoy it.
00:48:13There's no doubt about that.
00:48:14Everyone had a good time.
00:48:14But enjoyment and quality and perception
00:48:16and what I call wow factor,
00:48:18if I had to go in and wow it up,
00:48:20you know, in my personal opinion,
00:48:22I could have been wrong,
00:48:23I was only there for half an hour in each of them,
00:48:25was that your one pipped it for
00:48:26a little bit more quality,
00:48:28as far as I'm concerned.
00:48:30I now want to discuss with you
00:48:32about the theme of your events.
00:48:35And I thought I'd rattled it off very quickly
00:48:37earlier in the week,
00:48:39saying things like, you know,
00:48:40you could have, for example,
00:48:42a 007 night, casino night,
00:48:44or something like that.
00:48:45And that's what you did.
00:48:46Not at all.
00:48:47Well, for me personally,
00:48:48as soon as you said event management,
00:48:50I thought back to an invitation
00:48:51I'd recently received for an event,
00:48:52which was a Bond casino event.
00:48:55Saeed wrote it down as well,
00:48:57and I think when we started talking about it,
00:48:58we then expanded into a diamond,
00:49:00and we almost didn't do it
00:49:01because of what you'd said in the boardroom,
00:49:03but it was a strong theme that was popular,
00:49:04and it was proven that it was going to work.
00:49:06And you, this lot over here are telling me,
00:49:09no, they were thinking about the 007 theme
00:49:11before I mentioned it.
00:49:12Don't tell me you were thinking about can-can.
00:49:15No, but they...
00:49:16I bloody told you to put can-can in there.
00:49:18Sir Alan, the point for me was,
00:49:19we wanted to do the murder mystery theme
00:49:21because it fitted in with a tower.
00:49:22When we actually started talking to the entertainment company,
00:49:25we then come up with a Victorian idea.
00:49:27Yes, I'll admit, the can-can girls,
00:49:28you mentioned it twice,
00:49:29and I said we wanted dancers,
00:49:31not necessarily can-can,
00:49:32and there weren't traditional can-can dancers.
00:49:34They're fitted in...
00:49:35Ruth, Ruth, Ruth.
00:49:36..with a theme of the lights.
00:49:37Yeah, Ruth, Ruth, Ruth, Ruth.
00:49:38Have I got a couple of antennas on my head here,
00:49:41and do I look like I've just come from the planet Mars?
00:49:44I was on the bloody phone to you.
00:49:46I said, you make sure that you jazz it up a little bit.
00:49:50And I did.
00:49:50For example, I said, let's have some colour,
00:49:53let's have some can-can girls.
00:49:54You don't have got the price, the can-can girls.
00:49:55Let's have a Victorian event.
00:49:56And all I'm saying is,
00:49:57you seem to just hook straight onto my words.
00:50:01Right, Michelle.
00:50:03Your problem, to me,
00:50:04is clearly your lack of sales of tickets.
00:50:07And I would have thought that,
00:50:09as you split your team up into, you know,
00:50:11the two guys here,
00:50:12all that they should be doing
00:50:13is spending their time selling tickets, no?
00:50:16In an ideal world, what I would have done
00:50:18is I would have split the teams differently.
00:50:20There is conflict in this team,
00:50:21not just with Saeed and Sharon.
00:50:23There's other conflicts.
00:50:24But I naively thought that people might,
00:50:27forget those conflicts
00:50:29and just start afresh for the sake of this task.
00:50:31And you thought that you might be able
00:50:32to inspire them to do that, did you?
00:50:35I actually thought that, yeah,
00:50:37I just thought at the end of the day,
00:50:38this is the final.
00:50:39I thought people would want to support me,
00:50:41want to make it work,
00:50:42and would just leave any problems
00:50:43that they have at the door.
00:50:45But in answer to your original question,
00:50:46yeah, we made a mistake.
00:50:48In terms of selling,
00:50:49we didn't have a strong enough sales strategy
00:50:50at the beginning,
00:50:50and we didn't start working on it
00:50:52as quick as we should.
00:50:53The other team, fair and square,
00:50:56caught on to the idea
00:50:57of going through every single previous contact,
00:51:00selling through the book.
00:51:01We had to go and sell to Joe Public raw people,
00:51:04literally the bulk of our tickets.
00:51:06They weren't through our own contacts.
00:51:07Excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me.
00:51:09The thing is,
00:51:10you both had access to the same people
00:51:12that you've met.
00:51:12So Alan, they beat us fair and square to the idea.
00:51:14They beat you to it.
00:51:14Now, that's where I feel.
00:51:16No, they beat you to it.
00:51:16That's where, that's where,
00:51:17that's, yeah, you're right.
00:51:18They beat you to it,
00:51:19or was it the fact that
00:51:20they preferred dealing with them than you?
00:51:22No, no, they beat us to it.
00:51:23They beat us to it.
00:51:25Both.
00:51:25So Alan, they beat us to it.
00:51:26Secondly, I think that's where.
00:51:27They beat you to it,
00:51:28or they preferred dealing with them or you?
00:51:29Okay, I'll just answer that question.
00:51:30I called the company after you
00:51:31and they sold before my tickets.
00:51:32Secondly, I feel that's where
00:51:34we could have helped Michelle a bit more.
00:51:36I think from the sales point of view,
00:51:37we lacked.
00:51:37We caught them to it too late.
00:51:39The whole sales approach,
00:51:40the whole task was wrong.
00:51:46All right.
00:51:48Ladies and gentlemen,
00:51:49the six ex-apprentices,
00:51:52you've been very, very helpful.
00:51:53I want to thank you once again
00:51:55for coming back here.
00:51:56Thank you, sir.
00:52:07You've gone through
00:52:29a 12-week grueling exercise, yeah?
00:52:31And you've both got certain qualities,
00:52:34two very, very different characters.
00:52:37I'm going to have a chat
00:52:38with Nick and Margaret now.
00:52:40You go out there,
00:52:41take five,
00:52:42and I'll call you back in.
00:52:43All right?
00:52:43Thank you, sir.
00:52:53Michelle is a very efficient,
00:52:55shrewd operator.
00:52:56Shrewd?
00:52:56She operates very well on her own.
00:53:01I've wondered about her
00:53:02from the very, very beginning.
00:53:06There's something about her.
00:53:07I don't know what it is.
00:53:08It's a gut feeling that I have.
00:53:09It's an instinct that I have.
00:53:12Ruth can get on with people.
00:53:14She inspires some loyalty
00:53:15amongst her people.
00:53:16She's a grafter.
00:53:17She's a worker.
00:53:18I think she's loyal.
00:53:22I agree with you about Ruth.
00:53:24She's tough.
00:53:24You know, you want something sold?
00:53:26Ruth will get it sold.
00:53:27Well, folks, we've seen a lot.
00:53:34We've done a lot.
00:53:35Just take this opportunity
00:53:36to thank you very much indeed
00:53:38for everything you've done here.
00:53:40You've been a great help.
00:53:41I'm going to make the final decision myself
00:53:44on this, too.
00:53:45Okay.
00:53:45Good.
00:53:55Hello?
00:53:55Yeah, okay.
00:53:56Send the two ladies in, please.
00:53:57Yes, sir.
00:53:58You can go through now.
00:53:59Okay, this is it, girls.
00:54:11This is the home run, really,
00:54:13as far as I'm concerned.
00:54:14I've, you know, listened to Nick.
00:54:15I've listened to Margaret.
00:54:16I've heard what you've got to say.
00:54:18It's a very, very tough one for me.
00:54:24They're both very, very employable
00:54:25as far as I'm concerned,
00:54:27but I have to make a decision.
00:54:29Yeah?
00:54:31Last time, passion, if you like,
00:54:33as to tell me why you want to work with me.
00:54:35Why do you want to work with me?
00:54:37Why do you want this job?
00:54:38For me, I really want this opportunity.
00:54:40I think that I can learn a lot from you.
00:54:42I think in the experiences that I've had,
00:54:44I'm not vastly experienced.
00:54:46I'm still only quite young,
00:54:47but every experience that I've had,
00:54:49I've made the most of it.
00:54:50Everything that I do do,
00:54:51I give 110% to.
00:54:53I can never be accused,
00:54:54in my opinion, of slacking.
00:54:55I'm very, very passionate
00:54:57and focused and committed
00:54:58to what I'm doing,
00:54:59and I really, really think
00:55:00I can add value
00:55:01and learn a lot from you.
00:55:02You're young.
00:55:03That's not a problem,
00:55:04as far as I'm concerned.
00:55:05You seem to be ambitious.
00:55:07That's not a problem,
00:55:08as far as I'm concerned.
00:55:09That's very, very good.
00:55:10But I want to know
00:55:11what I'm going to get from you.
00:55:12Okay.
00:55:13What you'll get from me
00:55:14is 110%
00:55:15delivered back to you.
00:55:17I will learn from what you teach me,
00:55:19and I will deliver
00:55:20very, very strongly
00:55:21and passionately
00:55:22for your businesses,
00:55:23without a doubt,
00:55:23and I'll be a good resource for you.
00:55:27Same question, Ruth.
00:55:28Okay.
00:55:29I am the apprentice
00:55:30for the following reasons.
00:55:31Number one,
00:55:32I am the all-rounder.
00:55:33I've got a lot of skills.
00:55:35I'll increase your productivity,
00:55:36and I'll increase your revenue.
00:55:37I've got a sound foundation
00:55:39to build on.
00:55:40I'm not a trainee, okay?
00:55:42I'm not somebody
00:55:42who needs to be taught
00:55:44how to put themselves across.
00:55:45I'm not somebody
00:55:46who needs to be taught
00:55:46how to sell.
00:55:47I'm not somebody
00:55:48who you need to actually say,
00:55:49this is how you manage.
00:55:50This is how you do this.
00:55:51I've got those skills here.
00:55:52What I want to give to you
00:55:54is basically
00:55:55the rest of my career,
00:55:56in a way.
00:55:57But I will come
00:55:58and lead your companies.
00:55:59I'll come and increase
00:56:00your productivity.
00:56:01I'll come and increase
00:56:01your revenue,
00:56:02while giving you
00:56:03the dedication and passion
00:56:04that I've proven
00:56:05through my career
00:56:06and through every task
00:56:07that I can give.
00:56:12My instinct is telling me,
00:56:32Ruth, you are
00:56:37a very tough character.
00:56:39You sell well.
00:56:41You're very determined.
00:56:42Really get on with things
00:56:45if someone gives you
00:56:46the job to do, right?
00:56:49Michelle,
00:56:50you're very focused.
00:56:53All you've ever done
00:56:54in your life
00:56:54is work hard, right?
00:56:56You've become
00:56:56a great achiever.
00:56:58You're very ambitious.
00:57:05But Michelle,
00:57:06you're hired.
00:57:07You're hired.
00:57:12I'm overwhelmed.
00:57:30I'm really, really proud.
00:57:31I was very different,
00:57:32I felt,
00:57:32to a lot of the candidates.
00:57:34I think I've been
00:57:34the quiet one.
00:57:35But I'm very, very strong.
00:57:36I might be quiet,
00:57:37but I'm very strong.
00:57:38And hopefully,
00:57:39you know,
00:57:39people will have watched me
00:57:40and seen that you don't need
00:57:41to be loud and cocky
00:57:42and bullshy.
00:57:43Just be yourself,
00:57:44work as hard as you can,
00:57:45and hopefully you get on in life.
00:57:46For me, as well,
00:57:47this has really taught me
00:57:48that I am worthy of something.
00:57:50You know,
00:57:50I've worked really hard.
00:57:52I've always been sure
00:57:52of my abilities.
00:57:53And now,
00:57:54for someone like Sir Alan
00:57:55to recognise my ability
00:57:56and want me in this organisation
00:57:57and see the value
00:57:58that I can add,
00:57:59it's unbelievable.
00:58:00Really, really unbelievable.
00:58:01I'm very, very pleased.
00:58:12Ladies and gentlemen,
00:58:13please welcome the runner-up.
00:58:15Now, go easy on her,
00:58:16as I don't think
00:58:17she's ever actually come second
00:58:18in anything before.
00:58:20It's an all-new experience for her.
00:58:23She is, of course,
00:58:24the Badger.
00:58:31They'll be dancing
00:58:37in the streets of Hull
00:58:38and the aisles of quicksaves
00:58:40all over the country now
00:58:41as we rise to acclaim
00:58:43the winner,
00:58:44Sir Alan Sugar's apprentice,
00:58:46Michelle Jubry.
00:58:47Michelle.
00:58:47Michelle.
00:58:47Is it possible
00:59:08to describe how you feel?
00:59:10I'm absolutely
00:59:10shitting myself.
00:59:11I'm shaking.
00:59:13We'll discuss your language
00:59:14a bit later, actually.
00:59:15Sorry.
00:59:16So, you know,
00:59:18the final scene,
00:59:19how does it feel?
00:59:21When did you think
00:59:21in the whole series
00:59:22that you could actually win this?
00:59:24I didn't until
00:59:25right at the very end.
00:59:26I mean, I wanted to,
00:59:27but right until the very end
00:59:28I was like, I don't know.
00:59:29You know, everybody's good in there.
00:59:30Everyone's strong,
00:59:31especially this one,
00:59:32you know, very tough competition.
00:59:33So it literally wasn't
00:59:34until right at the very end
00:59:36that he said I'd won
00:59:36and I actually believed it.
00:59:39Is that a Richter smile?
00:59:40You're almost attempting there
00:59:41or are you happy for Michelle?
00:59:43I'm very happy for Michelle.
00:59:44I mean, at the end of the day,
00:59:45I know the apprentices
00:59:46are sitting over my shoulder
00:59:47but I do actually believe
00:59:48Sir Alan chose the right two.
00:59:50Do I think...
00:59:52Come on, Mother's Day.
00:59:53Come on, boo.
00:59:54Could you narrow it down
00:59:55a bit more than just two, please?
00:59:57Me and Michelle.
00:59:58But realistically,
00:59:59we are very, very different people.
01:00:01Michelle has got a lot of skills
01:00:02that I haven't got
01:00:03and I possess a lot of skills
01:00:05that Michelle doesn't.
01:00:06At the end of the day,
01:00:06he wanted an apprentice
01:00:07and he's got Michelle.
01:00:08So I wish you all the best
01:00:10in a new challenge.
01:00:17I must say,
01:00:18I feared for you
01:00:19right at the beginning of this.
01:00:20There were omens
01:00:21when it all first started.
01:00:22If we just watch you
01:00:23coming down the stairs,
01:00:24two problems.
01:00:25Unusually,
01:00:26you weren't actually
01:00:27first in the queue.
01:00:28What happened there?
01:00:29Michelle actually beat you to it.
01:00:31Secondly...
01:00:33I've got one sock on.
01:00:34What's with the one sock?
01:00:35Look what peculiar
01:00:35masonic ritual was going on there.
01:00:37First of all,
01:00:38Michelle's got a bit of a thing
01:00:39about getting on camera
01:00:40in a towel.
01:00:40So I've got to let her get first.
01:00:42Secondly,
01:00:43the one sock thing,
01:00:44I don't know,
01:00:44I mean,
01:00:44my mum's always taking
01:00:45the mickey out of me
01:00:45because I can go and put,
01:00:46and even when I'm trying
01:00:47on an outfit
01:00:48and I've always got my socks on.
01:00:49So the phone rang
01:00:50and I was trying to get there first
01:00:51so I could end up
01:00:52one sock on
01:00:52as I'm coming down the stairs.
01:00:54Well,
01:00:54they look more like
01:00:54they belong to your dad,
01:00:55those socks, actually.
01:00:55Do you know the fact is?
01:00:57They do.
01:00:57They do, actually.
01:00:59Is he wearing one sock now?
01:01:00Yeah, you've got the other one
01:01:01on there.
01:01:03The task itself, Michelle,
01:01:05I don't know what
01:01:06Saran's got in mind for you
01:01:07but hopefully it's not recruitment
01:01:09because your selections
01:01:10were peculiar to say the least.
01:01:12What were you thinking of?
01:01:14In hindsight,
01:01:15I don't know,
01:01:15but at the time
01:01:16I kind of thought,
01:01:17right, okay,
01:01:18I want to win
01:01:19and for me to win
01:01:20I wanted someone
01:01:20to help me with sales
01:01:21and someone that's
01:01:22a bit more creative than me.
01:01:23So I just looked
01:01:24at all the people in front of me
01:01:25and I thought, okay,
01:01:26I want sales, sales
01:01:27and I want events, people.
01:01:29And looking at what I had
01:01:30in front of me,
01:01:30I thought, Paul,
01:01:31brilliant sales guy,
01:01:32Saeed, brilliant sales guy
01:01:34and Sharon, excellent
01:01:35on the creative event side.
01:01:37So in theory,
01:01:38it was perfect.
01:01:38Exactly, yeah.
01:01:39I forgot about the fact
01:01:40that most of them
01:01:41didn't like me,
01:01:42that I didn't actually
01:01:44really get on
01:01:45with any of those
01:01:45two, you know,
01:01:46all that well.
01:01:47Right.
01:01:47And I just honestly
01:01:48naively thought,
01:01:49you know what,
01:01:50they're going to like me
01:01:50and I'm going to like them
01:01:51and it's all going to be great.
01:01:52But that wasn't the key problem.
01:01:54The key problem was
01:01:54they actually didn't get on
01:01:56with each other.
01:01:56I mean,
01:01:56there's lots of clips
01:01:58we could use here.
01:01:59Here's our particular favourite.
01:02:00Shall we not go in there?
01:02:03There's a way for Marcus
01:02:04to come out of that hotel anyway.
01:02:05All right,
01:02:05I'll be in there anyway.
01:02:07Cock.
01:02:11So,
01:02:11let's smile about it now.
01:02:13But when did you,
01:02:14when did you realise
01:02:15there were sort of
01:02:16interpersonal problems
01:02:17between the two of them?
01:02:18The second that I said
01:02:20kind of Saeed,
01:02:21Paul and Sharon
01:02:22and I sat back in my chair
01:02:23and I thought,
01:02:23I sat down in my chair
01:02:25and I was like,
01:02:25oh my God,
01:02:26this probably isn't going to work.
01:02:28And then I had flashbacks
01:02:29and when we were just
01:02:30watching the show back there,
01:02:31you kind of said,
01:02:32you know,
01:02:32Michelle's got this team
01:02:33and they all have conflicts
01:02:33and then you just cut
01:02:34and I was like,
01:02:35oh my God,
01:02:36I had a fight on the boat
01:02:36with Paul
01:02:37and oh my God,
01:02:38look at them,
01:02:38what happened between Saeed
01:02:39and I'd actually forgot
01:02:40a lot about it
01:02:41and it wasn't until
01:02:41I was watching it back
01:02:42on the TV
01:02:43and I thought,
01:02:44blimey,
01:02:44yeah.
01:02:45You handled this very well
01:02:46if you don't mind me saying
01:02:47so you're from Hull
01:02:48where you don't so much
01:02:49do controlled aggression
01:02:50as far as I remember,
01:02:51you just go straight
01:02:51for more direct action
01:02:52but you handled them
01:02:54very well here.
01:02:55Let's have a look at you,
01:02:56keeping calm,
01:02:57smiling,
01:02:57but really killing them
01:02:58at the same time.
01:03:00What I'm trying to say
01:03:01is we have generated
01:03:02a lot of interest today
01:03:02and tomorrow we'll get ourselves.
01:03:04We've also generated
01:03:04a lot of wasted energy
01:03:05and you've also generated
01:03:07a lot of fucking friction.
01:03:08Okay.
01:03:08You live in fucking Disneyland.
01:03:10This is fucking amazing.
01:03:11Listen.
01:03:11So listen to me.
01:03:12Do you know what?
01:03:12No, Saeed, listen.
01:03:13Michelle, it just seems to me
01:03:14that you've planned
01:03:15this little session here
01:03:17with your friend over there
01:03:18just to have a go at me
01:03:19because that's what's happened.
01:03:20This is my colleague.
01:03:21Your colleague and your little friend.
01:03:22Just listen to me.
01:03:22I'll tell you something, Michelle.
01:03:23I'm literally this much, okay,
01:03:26to actually turn around
01:03:27and being really, really horrible.
01:03:30What's he like
01:03:31when he's really, really horrible?
01:03:32Because it was pretty horrible there, Saeed.
01:03:33You weren't doing a bad job of it.
01:03:35I don't know.
01:03:35He didn't get there.
01:03:36He was nearly going to be
01:03:37really, really horrible
01:03:37and I think I avoided it.
01:03:39Ruth, you dealt with every challenge
01:03:42that was presented to you
01:03:43but this last task
01:03:45presented you with a job
01:03:46that you just weren't up to.
01:03:48It's a big job, this.
01:03:49I know what you're going to say as well.
01:03:53You just couldn't get them in, could you?
01:03:55You could not force them in,
01:03:57try as you might.
01:03:57But I want to know
01:03:58somehow you did get them in.
01:04:01How did you manage it?
01:04:02Because we can see,
01:04:02did Ansel squash them in or something?
01:04:05Should I tell you the actual,
01:04:06the truth of the matter was
01:04:07I managed to get in, not a problem
01:04:09but Sophie, who was assisting me,
01:04:12said,
01:04:13Badge, we've got a problem?
01:04:14And I said, what's that?
01:04:15She went, where's your mic?
01:04:17And he was like, oh my God.
01:04:19And I never actually needed any tape
01:04:20when it comes to micing up
01:04:21because, you know,
01:04:22these little puppies go very well together.
01:04:24When you got to the actual finale
01:04:26and you knew all the 12 weeks
01:04:27were boiling down to this,
01:04:29can you describe what that felt like?
01:04:31Yeah, I mean,
01:04:32I've never in my career,
01:04:34or to be fair in my life,
01:04:35ever thought so much
01:04:36that bloody man makes me
01:04:38get on my knees
01:04:39and basically prove myself
01:04:41week after week after week.
01:04:42I think it's Sir Alan
01:04:42you're referring to.
01:04:43Yeah, without a doubt.
01:04:44I mean, I've got,
01:04:45there's nobody in this country
01:04:46that inspires me more than Sir Alan,
01:04:49you know,
01:04:49even though I've come second,
01:04:51I absolutely worship the man.
01:04:53There's no, you know,
01:04:54if but or maybe,
01:04:55he is my inspiration in business.
01:04:57You know,
01:04:57if I could be a quarter of what he is,
01:04:58then I'll be very proud
01:04:59when I end my career.
01:05:01You'll have a chance to trump that
01:05:03a little bit later
01:05:03when you talk about Sir Alan,
01:05:05but the denouement
01:05:06as you approach that crisis moment,
01:05:09how did that feel?
01:05:11Do you know what?
01:05:12The whole thing has just been
01:05:13really, really surreal
01:05:14and I think even sitting here now,
01:05:16it's still kind of not quite real.
01:05:19Yeah.
01:05:19Okay.
01:05:20Well, let's help you
01:05:20kind of relive it again.
01:05:21Here's the dying seconds,
01:05:23if you like,
01:05:24of this year's Apprentice.
01:05:27My instinct is telling me
01:05:29Ruth, you are a very tough character.
01:05:36You sell well.
01:05:38You're very determined.
01:05:40Really get on with things
01:05:42if someone gives you the job to do,
01:05:44right?
01:05:46Michelle,
01:05:47you're very focused.
01:05:50All you've ever done in your life
01:05:51is work hard, right?
01:05:53You've become a great achiever.
01:05:55You're very ambitious.
01:05:56But Michelle,
01:06:03you're hired.
01:06:10When you're working with him
01:06:11and it's all going pear-shaped,
01:06:12you can play that to yourself
01:06:13and remind yourself
01:06:14how happy you were.
01:06:15Yeah, I remember that.
01:06:16Can you describe the relief
01:06:17at that moment?
01:06:17Do you know what?
01:06:18We were just so tired,
01:06:19both Ruth and I.
01:06:20You know,
01:06:20when we're sitting there
01:06:21and you can see that we're both drawn
01:06:22and just knackered.
01:06:23So it's really difficult.
01:06:25Let's take a closer look
01:06:26at your face here, Ruth.
01:06:27Because initially,
01:06:28initially you look pleased,
01:06:29but as you turn away,
01:06:31your eyes narrow,
01:06:32your lips narrow,
01:06:33and you've got...
01:06:34Oh, I want to kill her.
01:06:35We've got it in slow motion
01:06:37so we can see it properly here.
01:06:38There's a really genuine smile at first.
01:06:41Then look at your eyes narrow
01:06:42as you turn away.
01:06:43Happy, happy, happy.
01:06:44Not quite so happy, though.
01:06:51I am genuinely, genuinely happy for Michelle,
01:06:54but I'm absolutely gutted
01:06:55that I'm not working for Sir Alan.
01:06:57Right, OK.
01:06:58Here is the aforementioned Sir Alan,
01:07:00the star of The Apprentice.
01:07:02I am the most belligerent person
01:07:04that you could ever come across.
01:07:06Now, let me remind you,
01:07:07it's a dog-eat-dog situation.
01:07:09I don't need another lawyer.
01:07:10I've got you.
01:07:11If that's not bad enough,
01:07:12you couldn't sell a box of matches
01:07:14if you tried,
01:07:14but you're very good at what you do do.
01:07:17She's got a spirit,
01:07:18and I like her spirit.
01:07:18You have moments of brilliance,
01:07:20but not too many of them.
01:07:22To me, that looks like
01:07:22a 1970s porno movie,
01:07:24Debbie Does Dallas.
01:07:27Why shouldn't I fire you?
01:07:28Do you think it's a patsy?
01:07:30I just don't know
01:07:30if you're just a bloody nutter.
01:07:32You seem to have gone from anchor to wanker.
01:07:34Would I buy a second-hand car off for you?
01:07:37No.
01:07:37Do you think if you weren't there,
01:07:39it would have made any difference?
01:07:40Shut up.
01:07:41I said, shut up.
01:07:43Shut up.
01:07:44I'm talking.
01:07:48Have I got the time for this?
01:07:53I'll promise you this.
01:07:55As sure as I've got a hole in my bloody arse.
01:07:57If you're after a performer,
01:07:58that's what I am.
01:07:58You're certainly a performer,
01:07:59that's for sure.
01:08:04Bye.
01:08:05Ta-da.
01:08:05Thank you, Sir Alan.
01:08:07Thank you for the opportunity.
01:08:08Cheeky, you bastard.
01:08:09Thank you for the opportunity.
01:08:10Sir Alan Sugar, ladies and gentlemen.
01:08:11So how hard was it this year, Sir Alan,
01:08:24to make a decision?
01:08:25Very, very, very, very tough this year.
01:08:28It really, really, really was.
01:08:30Those who know, those who are close to me
01:08:32will know I was struggling.
01:08:34It is a terrible dilemma I was in this time.
01:08:37I really mean that, Ruth.
01:08:39I really do mean it.
01:08:40The two girls know.
01:08:40I was really stuck this time
01:08:43because you're both great people.
01:08:45And, you know, last year it was easier for me
01:08:48for whatever reasons.
01:08:50But I'm not worried about you.
01:08:51I'm really not worried about you
01:08:52because I know that you're going to go on
01:08:55and you're going to be a success.
01:08:57You're already a success.
01:08:58You've done it before,
01:08:59as you've told me 20 times already.
01:09:03And I'm really not worried about you.
01:09:05And what about Michelle?
01:09:06You seem to see her as a good all-rounder.
01:09:10Well, as I said earlier on,
01:09:11I find her very determined.
01:09:14I find her very, very organised.
01:09:16And this particular job that I've got in mind
01:09:18requires all those skills.
01:09:20Yeah.
01:09:20You pulled off a good bit of sales yourself
01:09:22right in the early days
01:09:24before we'd even noticed, Ruth, probably.
01:09:26Some silky skills actually buying silk,
01:09:29I seem to recall.
01:09:30You have the seller on the ropes here.
01:09:31He's so flustered.
01:09:33He's tapping his calculator.
01:09:34I'm sure there's no batteries in it.
01:09:36It can't be.
01:09:36He's tapping it too fast.
01:09:38So what would be the best price
01:09:40that you could offer us today on this?
01:09:44You're £48.94.
01:09:46Now, OK, so we're starting with £48.94.
01:09:49I really need to get some form of discount,
01:09:51the best price.
01:09:51Is there any way you could go down at all
01:09:53on that price, please?
01:09:54On that price?
01:09:55I can round it off to £45 if you're paying in cash.
01:09:57£45?
01:09:58Could you do £40?
01:10:01That would make our day if you could.
01:10:04All right.
01:10:05Remind you of yourself there at all, Sir Alan?
01:10:07Yeah.
01:10:08We have to push the price down
01:10:09a little bit from time to time, yeah.
01:10:11Right.
01:10:12OK.
01:10:13Now, your skill, selling skills, Ruth,
01:10:15did you know you were such a good salesperson
01:10:17before you started there?
01:10:18I've never had a day's sales training in my life
01:10:21and I'd been in senior management for three years
01:10:25so I hadn't sold.
01:10:26So when I was faced with a sales task
01:10:29and I'm advertised as a sales manager,
01:10:30I was terrified.
01:10:32The moment I started actually getting on the road
01:10:35and doing it, I forgot what I loved.
01:10:37You know, I absolutely love selling,
01:10:39I love dealing with the public
01:10:40and I love getting a deal.
01:10:42You seem to start well
01:10:43and just get better and better and better.
01:10:45And the lettings task, which to a certain extent
01:10:47defeated Saeed and Paul, kind of inexplicably.
01:10:50I mean, this was you at your absolute finest here.
01:10:53So in here you've got your bathroom, power shower.
01:10:56Yeah, it's interesting.
01:10:58Yeah.
01:10:58And obviously you've got your heated tail rail.
01:11:00Yeah.
01:11:01How did you get here?
01:11:03I'm on my scooter.
01:11:05OK.
01:11:05Two, four, five.
01:11:06All right.
01:11:07OK.
01:11:07Great.
01:11:08Can you follow me back?
01:11:09He's still got your fingerprints on his hand here
01:11:11as you squeeze outside.
01:11:12I've got a firm shape.
01:11:12Put it that way, yeah.
01:11:13These selling skills, Sir Alan,
01:11:16you've got to stand back and admire them.
01:11:17Yeah, great.
01:11:18Absolutely, absolutely great.
01:11:20And, you know, no one can dispute that.
01:11:22I mean, she's, you know, in many times
01:11:25she's kind of completely overtaken the task
01:11:27even when she had team leaders.
01:11:29In that particular one,
01:11:30I think she sold four of the flats
01:11:32or something like that.
01:11:33I can't remember.
01:11:33Five.
01:11:33Five.
01:11:35OK.
01:11:35It's five, Sir Alan.
01:11:36Actually, I sold the other one.
01:11:38Is that right?
01:11:38Yeah.
01:11:39But, no, it's tremendous.
01:11:42The car sells.
01:11:43And how many there did you sell?
01:11:44Six.
01:11:45Six, right.
01:11:45So I think you'd forget.
01:11:46Yeah.
01:11:48But, you know, on the selling front,
01:11:50it was, it's phenomenal, really.
01:11:53Michelle, what did you learn about selling from Ruth?
01:11:56Did she teach you anything?
01:11:57Or did you learn from each other?
01:11:58Well, you know, when you work with Ruth,
01:12:00she's kind of off and she's in.
01:12:01And what I learnt with Ruth is just, you know,
01:12:02let her go.
01:12:03Because, you know, she really does show you
01:12:05how to close a deal.
01:12:06And she's got a lot of good styles,
01:12:07a lot of different styles.
01:12:08And she's a top salesman, definitely.
01:12:10Yeah.
01:12:10But, inexplicably, you ended up on the losing side
01:12:12a lot of the time
01:12:13without ever being taken into the boardroom.
01:12:15So it must have been the other's fault.
01:12:16But you won seven tasks,
01:12:17which, you know, isn't a bad performance.
01:12:19Tells its own story.
01:12:20Yeah, I think so.
01:12:21I mean, to be honest,
01:12:22I was just trying my hardest on all the tasks
01:12:23and I'd actually forgotten it was seven.
01:12:25But, yeah, seven, brilliant.
01:12:26Yeah.
01:12:27Sir Alan, the selling technique was rather,
01:12:30it's like less forced, really,
01:12:31less aggressive slightly than Ruth's.
01:12:33Would you think that was fair to say, Michelle?
01:12:34Yeah.
01:12:35There are various degrees of selling.
01:12:38And, you know, Ruth has got one particular style.
01:12:41She's very forceful in what she wants to do.
01:12:43And as we've seen throughout the programme,
01:12:45she's succeeded on most occasions.
01:12:47And your face tells a thousand stories.
01:12:49You know, I love your face.
01:12:51I know we're both from the same part of the world,
01:12:52but I just love your face.
01:12:53Let's have a look at your face in some detail.
01:12:58Not like that.
01:12:59You cannot get that.
01:13:00Contemporary designed with kittens in.
01:13:02Well, well, well, I'm from Wolverhampton.
01:13:05I'm right, you're wrong.
01:13:06Quite simple.
01:13:07The next one, we saw it a few times.
01:13:09I'm just going to kill you if you bring me.
01:13:12Do you like chicken?
01:13:13No.
01:13:13No, I don't think you do.
01:13:15Call that face when you see chicken.
01:13:17I know what you've been up to.
01:13:22And, Don.
01:13:24I need to be moulded, as with everybody else.
01:13:27Just shut up, Don.
01:13:28What are you talking about?
01:13:31You tell them clearly what the facts are.
01:13:33Give me the facts.
01:13:33Finally.
01:13:35That is Kathy Bates from Misery.
01:13:37That stuck to you, hasn't it?
01:13:38As for you, Michelle, what feedback have you had from your family?
01:13:41You've got most of your family here, but your nan couldn't make it, could she?
01:13:45No, she couldn't.
01:13:45The feedback is mainly about my language,
01:13:49and about the fact that I never smile, ever, on TV.
01:13:51Never.
01:13:52Right.
01:13:52So, mainly, I have to smile more and swear less, is the feedback.
01:13:55Is it like me, you mean?
01:13:56Yeah, exactly.
01:13:59Is your nan watching, do you think?
01:14:00What's your nan's name?
01:14:01Jessie.
01:14:02Jessie.
01:14:02Listen, Jessie, if you're watching, just press that mute button now,
01:14:06or just look away.
01:14:07You won't like this.
01:14:08What a f***ing car.
01:14:10I got a f*** load from that, did you?
01:14:12Oh, no, don't f***ing put that on me.
01:14:13Where the f*** is Savalot?
01:14:15I've got me heels on.
01:14:16I'm great, the battery's just gone dead.
01:14:18F*** off, you're not even listening to me, Paul.
01:14:20Where the f*** am?
01:14:21I'm not f***ing up me.
01:14:22F***ing, I was f***ing up you, I'm f***ing myself.
01:14:24Yeah, I think you've got the potential to absolutely f***ing kill this for me.
01:14:27It's because it's me that's going to get this up the f***ing arse all the time when I fail.
01:14:30You live in f***ing f***ing me, Dan.
01:14:32Amazing.
01:14:32My week's been absolutely f***ed, yeah?
01:14:35Our bleep man has got RSI on his finger, he just couldn't, he just couldn't make it.
01:14:39Have you got a swear box at your place?
01:14:41Right, it's full up.
01:14:41Mm.
01:14:45You swore 28 times in this series, and we believe that is a record,
01:14:50certainly for the ladies in the house.
01:14:51You must be very proud.
01:14:52Let's speak to your mum, Glynis.
01:14:54How would you describe your feelings towards her at this moment?
01:14:56So proud of her.
01:14:58She's made all the family so proud.
01:15:00What an achievement.
01:15:01Just can't believe it.
01:15:02Brilliant.
01:15:03Could you see it in her when she was growing up?
01:15:05She was very determined.
01:15:07She always knew, you know, she wanted to go far in life.
01:15:10Very ambitious.
01:15:13Whatever she achieved, she always wanted more.
01:15:16Brilliant.
01:15:17We can speak to Ruth's dear mum now.
01:15:20Edna, how are you?
01:15:22You disappointed for your baby?
01:15:25Obviously we're disappointed, but, you know, she's a winner,
01:15:29and didn't she pour up a hell of a fight?
01:15:32She'd done absolutely fantastic.
01:15:43What do you think, when you see her selling like that,
01:15:45do you see, do you see, that's my little girl?
01:15:48I can't believe that's her.
01:15:49Well, I think she got a sales glint in her eye the day she was born, actually.
01:15:57How on earth did she demonstrate that?
01:15:59Well, you know, I mean, if she could have flogged her bottle, she would have done it.
01:16:04Ruth, we've heard what your family and friends have got to say about you.
01:16:07They've got some great memories of you, growing up and everything, obviously.
01:16:10We've got some great memories of your 12-week apprenticeship,
01:16:13and I'm sure you will love to.
01:16:16To be fair, I'm used to closing on my own.
01:16:18I don't need anybody.
01:16:22Here I go again on my own.
01:16:28We're professionals, we know what we're doing.
01:16:32Come on, anybody else want two melons for a pound?
01:16:39Hello, that's a done deal, I'm on my way back to sign it up.
01:16:42Now, this is a new contemporary, quite funky, cosmopolitan, minimalistic coat stand.
01:16:50You tell them clearly what the facts are, if they choose to ignore that.
01:16:56Just been removed by security.
01:16:57We even put our lipstick on for him, and he was mingling.
01:17:08I'm in heaven.
01:17:10Now, that's magic.
01:17:11Here I go again.
01:17:14Is there anything you'd have done differently, in hindsight?
01:17:21If I could turn back the clock, I would not pull the facial expressions,
01:17:25because right up until that minute, I'm looking at the TV going,
01:17:27oh, no, oh, oh, there it goes.
01:17:29And, yeah, I didn't realise I frowned so much.
01:17:31I mean, the programme did change me a lot, personally.
01:17:34I'm a lot more chilled out now, and I don't frown nowhere near as much as I did on the programme.
01:17:38Sir Alan, how would you generally describe the experience of doing this show?
01:17:41Do you find it stressful?
01:17:42Do you enjoy it?
01:17:45Well, I would only do it.
01:17:47I've always said I'm only doing it, because I enjoy it.
01:17:50I also hope there's an underlying business message
01:17:53that we're putting out throughout the course of the programme.
01:17:56What have you learned from it?
01:17:57Is there any particular lesson you've learned from it?
01:18:00Oh, this sign?
01:18:01Well, I know that there's six million cats in England.
01:18:04Yeah.
01:18:05I think it's the UK that they'll find.
01:18:10Nargis, listen, we apologise.
01:18:12We've got to go through this again.
01:18:13Just brace yourselves, folks.
01:18:15Yes, this is Nargis pitching her cat calendar.
01:18:18Did you know that there are six million cat owners in the UK alone,
01:18:24and a majority, most of those, actually live in London?
01:18:29No, I didn't know that.
01:18:32Ask me any questions.
01:18:33What sort of retail price do you...
01:18:35I haven't finished speaking, sorry.
01:18:37Ask me any questions that you have,
01:18:39and then let's talk about how many you want.
01:18:42And what sort of cost price do you imagine?
01:18:46Er...
01:18:46Sorry, can you repeat the question?
01:18:50I don't know about you, but it seems to have got worse since I last saw it.
01:18:53Is it getting worse for you?
01:18:54Er, on the tube, someone said to me the other day,
01:18:58can you just tell me how many cat owners are there?
01:19:01It doesn't stop.
01:19:03Anything annoyed you?
01:19:05Anything annoyed me?
01:19:06Yeah, well, I lent my plane for them while I was making a movie,
01:19:11and some bleeding gevers rubbed out the chair over there like this.
01:19:15So...
01:19:15Yeah.
01:19:17Could have been worse.
01:19:18You could have left something else on your chair.
01:19:19That's what it looked like.
01:19:20Right, let's show you, let's show you this.
01:19:23Ready?
01:19:26Access to 5,000 private jets within four hours' notice.
01:19:29No hidden charges, no commitment to flying hours.
01:19:32Now that's magic.
01:19:34Why did you laugh at a particular point?
01:19:36Just because I just thought it was funny.
01:19:38Because this is my worry.
01:19:39These both have walked in...
01:19:40A laugh.
01:19:41...and think about glucks rubbing himself off.
01:19:45I don't know how to say that, but...
01:19:47It's the fact that he's moving his hand slightly there.
01:19:50Have you thought about cutting that whole thing out or not?
01:19:52No one's going to really pick up the thing that he's wanking or anything like that.
01:19:55Hang on, the second that these two walked in and saw it for the first time,
01:19:58they both first started laughing at that point.
01:20:00No hidden charges, no commitment to flying hours.
01:20:04Then add some magic.
01:20:06That's it.
01:20:07That's it.
01:20:07That's it.
01:20:07That's it.
01:20:07That's it.
01:20:07That's it.
01:20:11By the way, Don, thanks for clarifying what was going on there.
01:20:14We weren't quite sure.
01:20:15It's funny, you're the only one who didn't use the W word.
01:20:17You said rubbing himself off.
01:20:19You became quite coy about it all of a sudden.
01:20:20Well, you know, I was trying not to swear, I think.
01:20:22I was trying hard.
01:20:23That's what it was.
01:20:24For once.
01:20:26Joe, how do you feel about Joe now in hindsight, Sir Alan?
01:20:29Well, you know, Joe, we all love Joe,
01:20:32but she is a stark, raving, bleeding man.
01:20:35Really.
01:20:35She knows it.
01:20:36But, you know, for the first couple of tasks, really,
01:20:41she was actually right in a couple of things,
01:20:45particularly, you know, in the calendar thing,
01:20:47spot on, and no one was listening to her.
01:20:50Normally, you seem to enjoy pulling the trigger this time.
01:20:52Well, you fired once, and you seem to miss, actually,
01:20:55because she just wouldn't take it.
01:20:56Yeah, I think it's because she's deaf.
01:20:58I don't think she heard the first time.
01:21:01Well, let's just check that out.
01:21:02Joe's reluctant firing.
01:21:03I've sat here four times in this room,
01:21:06and there is a message coming from above.
01:21:09Joe, you've been here too many times.
01:21:11I'm sorry to say, this time, you are fired.
01:21:15I was sort of expecting this,
01:21:16because I accept the fact that I've been here four times,
01:21:18but I think what that demonstrates is that I've got resilience.
01:21:21I'm a survivor.
01:21:22I'm happy to go out here on the basis of, like, being crap,
01:21:25but I don't believe that I should be leaving here.
01:21:27Joe, Joe, there comes a time when everybody,
01:21:30everybody is saying the same thing,
01:21:32and even me, I will say,
01:21:34you know what, give it up, Alan, enough's enough.
01:21:38Joe, you're fired.
01:21:40Can I just ask one more time,
01:21:41just to give you the one more last chance,
01:21:43and I'm not going to be in this courtroom again.
01:21:44No, I'm afraid not.
01:21:45That's it.
01:21:46Back to the house now.
01:21:49It's just the look on Ansel's face.
01:21:51It was too painful for him to watch.
01:21:54Joe, you don't know when you're beaten, do you?
01:21:56Do you still believe when you could get out of this one?
01:21:58I wasn't going to go without a fight, definitely.
01:22:00No way.
01:22:01I still believe always that you should fight for what you believe in,
01:22:04and I'm not going to change, so...
01:22:06You might be a good referee, a good football referee,
01:22:08because you absolutely wouldn't change your mind.
01:22:11You were just waving them away, weren't you?
01:22:12That's right, and she did create a few penalties and free kicks.
01:22:17Business lessons you've learnt?
01:22:20Oh, well, this series,
01:22:22I think there will be a business lesson
01:22:24that will go down in the archives.
01:22:25I was like, I'm pretty sure
01:22:27that you don't buy 100 chickens for 100 pizzas.
01:22:33This had everything.
01:22:34It had ranking competence
01:22:35and an absolute almighty row.
01:22:38Real foul-mouthed tirade
01:22:39from a martial arts expert as well.
01:22:41We need 100 chickens.
01:22:44What?
01:22:44We don't know what we're doing at the moment.
01:22:46So there's 100 chickens and 100 pizzas.
01:22:50That sounds like a lot of chicken.
01:22:52It's too many chickens.
01:22:53It's like seeing when you're winning,
01:22:54and when shit at the fan,
01:22:55none of them want to know.
01:22:57Just fucking tell me what needs to be done,
01:22:59and I'll do it.
01:23:00All right?
01:23:00Don't fucking dick me around,
01:23:02because I'm getting pissed off with it.
01:23:03You know what I mean?
01:23:04All right, stick.
01:23:04I'm fucking ordering it out.
01:23:05All right, what I'm trying to do
01:23:06is understand where the bottleneck is
01:23:08and do it.
01:23:08And then you're just saying,
01:23:09go and fucking do that.
01:23:10Go and fucking do that.
01:23:11I want someone here to take control
01:23:13and understand where the bottlenecks are
01:23:15and deal with it, okay?
01:23:16Now, what needs to be done?
01:23:18I'm not kitchen...
01:23:18Someone make a fucking decision.
01:23:20Samuel, I'm not kitchen manager.
01:23:21So can someone tell me what to fucking do?
01:23:24And I'll do it.
01:23:24Guys, let's just...
01:23:25Any swear on the shouts you've done,
01:23:27I will do it, okay?
01:23:28So let's just calm down
01:23:29and finish chopping the fucking pineapple.
01:23:31No problem, no problem.
01:23:31Okay?
01:23:32No problem.
01:23:35It was a tough job managing those boys
01:23:41when they started putting it about like that.
01:23:43It was.
01:23:43I mean, I admire Alexa
01:23:44because, you know,
01:23:45she actually had to put a bit of water
01:23:48on the balls to go and do it.
01:23:49Tell me what it's like
01:23:50to be on the end of an angry Sir Alan
01:23:53in the boardroom.
01:23:53You seemed to cope with it better than most.
01:23:55You smiled in a rather sort of kindly fashion at him
01:23:57as if he didn't quite understand,
01:23:58which annoyed him.
01:23:59But did you feel fear
01:24:00because you didn't show it?
01:24:02Not really
01:24:02because you just kind of zone out
01:24:03and he's going at you
01:24:04and that's all you can see
01:24:05and all you can hear
01:24:06is him shouting at you
01:24:07and you don't kind of hear what he's saying
01:24:09but you just go back at it
01:24:10and then when you leave
01:24:12you kind of then think
01:24:13you actually had a good point then
01:24:14but you don't think that until you leave
01:24:16so it's quite swell.
01:24:17My strongest advice to you
01:24:18in this new job
01:24:19is be very careful,
01:24:20do well,
01:24:20but above all,
01:24:21don't lose his money
01:24:22because if that happens,
01:24:24I tell you what,
01:24:24he gets really, really,
01:24:26really angry.
01:24:28Loss.
01:24:29That's the first, chaps.
01:24:31When did the penny drop?
01:24:32It seems it still hasn't bloody dropped.
01:24:34When did the penny drop
01:24:35that this was a flawed project?
01:24:38You messed it up,
01:24:39didn't you?
01:24:39You messed it up.
01:24:40I've learnt a lesson,
01:24:41so I'm definitely not.
01:24:42I'm bloody sure you've learnt a lesson.
01:24:43There's no question of that.
01:24:44You've been in the restaurant business before,
01:24:46haven't you?
01:24:46I have.
01:24:47I've managed restaurants.
01:24:48You've managed.
01:24:48I've managed under Marco Pia White
01:24:50or something.
01:24:50Yes.
01:24:50The Titanic.
01:24:51There's another bloody disaster
01:24:53you're in now.
01:24:53I'm so disappointed
01:24:55with a lot of you.
01:24:56This is not a holiday camp here
01:24:57where, you know,
01:24:58doom cops come to
01:24:59to learn
01:25:00where to make mistakes.
01:25:01Brain surgeons,
01:25:02I've got here.
01:25:03Doomed.
01:25:04Doomed.
01:25:04You were doomed.
01:25:05Quite frankly,
01:25:06I'd like to get rid
01:25:06of the bleeding three of you.
01:25:07I'm a winner, sir.
01:25:08You're not a bloody winner.
01:25:09You're lost.
01:25:10Business is not about
01:25:11come in,
01:25:12piss my money up the wall.
01:25:13Oh, never mind.
01:25:14Sorry, you lost it.
01:25:15Now you learnt
01:25:16you won't do it again.
01:25:17I warned you
01:25:17severely about this.
01:25:19You have not
01:25:19come to the table today.
01:25:21You have not told me
01:25:22what you did.
01:25:23You're a very,
01:25:24very bad manager.
01:25:25You're a lightweight.
01:25:26You're fired.
01:25:28Poor Alexa.
01:25:29How could you do it
01:25:30to that poor girl?
01:25:31But you were genuinely angry then.
01:25:32I really was
01:25:33really, really angry there.
01:25:35If I was allowed
01:25:36to change the rules,
01:25:38there might have only
01:25:39been nine programmes
01:25:40because I would have...
01:25:41I'll tell you,
01:25:43those three
01:25:44were on their way out
01:25:45that day.
01:25:46The irony is,
01:25:47Michelle,
01:25:47you've survived
01:25:49all this,
01:25:49but that means
01:25:50you're the one person
01:25:51who's probably going to
01:25:51have to face him again
01:25:52and not just once
01:25:53on a regular basis
01:25:54for many years to come.
01:25:55Are you sure
01:25:55you're glad you've won?
01:25:57Yeah, well, yeah.
01:25:58I am, definitely.
01:25:59Hopefully he's not
01:26:00going to shout at me
01:26:00too much.
01:26:01But the way he's smiling,
01:26:02I'd worry about that
01:26:03if I was you.
01:26:04So is that what she can
01:26:06actually expect?
01:26:09No, not at all.
01:26:11You know,
01:26:12as long as you don't
01:26:12get anything wrong.
01:26:15Michelle,
01:26:16I think actually
01:26:16you've been a popular winner
01:26:17unless you've
01:26:18bossed down
01:26:19rent a crowd
01:26:19from home.
01:26:20There was sort of
01:26:22real happiness for you.
01:26:23You've done an absolutely
01:26:24fantastic job
01:26:25all the way through.
01:26:26You've kept out of trouble.
01:26:27You've kept on winning.
01:26:28You're an absolutely
01:26:29worthy winner.
01:26:30Let's look back
01:26:31at the highs
01:26:32of your 12-week
01:26:33apprenticeship.
01:26:34I'm passionate.
01:26:35I'm hardworking.
01:26:36I'm motivated.
01:26:37I'm focused.
01:26:38I'm driven.
01:26:42We need aggressive
01:26:43campaigning.
01:26:44We need to get
01:26:44those commuters,
01:26:45grab them
01:26:46while they're
01:26:46getting into work.
01:26:48Failure's not an option.
01:26:49I will not fail.
01:26:50I like your spirit
01:26:51and I like what
01:26:52you've done also.
