00:01Previously on Project Runway...
00:03You're going to be designing your own textile.
00:06I've never designed my own fabric.
00:08Wow.
00:09I want one of these at home.
00:10Ah, I love it!
00:12I kind of had a block on this challenge.
00:14Unblock.
00:15This is getting so hard.
00:19Emilio, you are the winner of this challenge.
00:23Maya, you're in.
00:25I don't want to be safe, I want to win a challenge.
00:28This was yet another simple cocktail dress.
00:31Anthony, you're out.
00:34Mila, which one of them will be in and which one will be out?
00:37I'm sorry Carrie, I think I'm going to go with Christina.
00:41Carrie, I'm sorry that means you're out.
00:43This is Project Runway.
00:45The winner of Project Runway will receive a fashion spread in Marie Claire magazine.
00:50An opportunity to sell their line on bluefly.com.
00:53A $50,000 technology suite to create, design and run their business from HP and Intel.
00:59And $100,000 from L'Oreal Paris to launch their line.
01:04You know, now that Anthony's gone, a lot of chatter, a lot of singing, and a lot of jacked up bull will be missing.
01:24Meaning, a lot of fun.
01:26He had an amazing run.
01:28A lot of people wrote him off early, but he came through.
01:32There's six of us left.
01:34The competition is getting more and more intense.
01:37Mila, your toast is ready.
01:39In the prior challenge, the judges were extremely hard on everyone.
01:44I don't find anything intriguing about this print.
01:48It's like a disco straitjacket.
01:50This is a full-on catastrophe.
01:53And so I'm stressed out, just like everybody else.
01:57But I do think my age and experience have taught me that I just have to brush myself off and move on.
02:03Really starting to wear.
02:05I'm proud to be the youngest in the competition, but it's a little scary sometimes,
02:10because I think everybody else has more experience than I do.
02:14It's definitely getting harder.
02:16I guess I haven't seen anything yet.
02:18Ready?
02:19Yep.
02:20Let's do it.
02:27Hello.
02:28It's time for your next challenge.
02:30It's getting harder and harder for us to decide who will go each week.
02:35So now, more than ever, your designs must set you apart from the competition.
02:40And with that in mind, I'm excited to tell you that you'll be designing a look for a celebrity.
02:48This person does have a little bit of a reputation for being opinionated, headstrong, and knowing what they want.
02:55And I'm glad that I'm not in your shoes.
02:58Tim will be waiting for you in the workroom to fill you in on all of the details.
03:02Good luck, and I'll see you on the runway. Bye.
03:05Bye.
03:08A very, very picky, opinionated celebrity.
03:12I'd just totally be making up if I said I wasn't nervous.
03:16A celebrity.
03:17We're all excited.
03:20Designers, I hope you're ready for this challenge.
03:23Okay.
03:24You'll be designing a red carpet look for a celebrity.
03:27Oh, yeah.
03:28Would you like to meet the celebrity?
03:29Yes.
03:30Yes.
03:36It's Heidi.
03:38Hi.
03:39Hi.
03:40Welcome to the workroom, Heidi.
03:41Hi.
03:42I love being here.
03:43You said that a celebrity is opinionated and picky.
03:45I am very, very, very opinionated and very, very, very picky, yes, indeed.
03:50And we love that about you.
03:51No, but I'm very excited because I do want you to design for me, but I also do not want you to lose your point of view as a designer.
03:58You have to think more simple when you think about red carpet because it has to work from all angles.
04:04I will not have a bump, so think of me without the bump.
04:08I also will show you some things that I've worn in the past.
04:12You'll have a dossier.
04:13Sounds good.
04:14Sounds great.
04:15I do want to be on the best dress list and not on the worst dress list, please.
04:19Thank you, Heidi.
04:21All right, I'm going to give you 30 minutes to sketch.
04:25Then we're going shopping at Mood where you'll have a budget of $300.
04:28Oh.
04:29I'll be back in 30 minutes.
04:31Actually dressing Heidi Klum, not for a client, but for her, what she likes, this is a big deal.
04:38This is one you want to win.
04:40You've got 30 minutes to make or break yourself.
04:44Being in the bottom last challenge was such a shock to me.
05:05I was so confident in my outfit that I've decided that I am in reverse world and I have no idea how to be in the top unless I make something really ugly and the judges would probably love it.
05:18I don't do red carpet dresses very often, so that worries me a little bit.
05:23But that said, she wants something that is simple and elegant and I definitely know how to do that.
05:35I want to do what I do best, which is volume and texture.
05:39And it needs to have some special detail that could be captured easily by cameras.
05:44This is paparazzi.
05:46This is a hundred flash bulbs at the same time.
05:49This is not about being subtle.
05:51This has to be wow, bam, from the moment it steps off.
05:55Designers, may I have your attention please?
06:07Maya has something very important to share with you.
06:10She and I have just had a talk.
06:17So I've decided to leave the competition.
06:20Are you ready?
06:21No.
06:22No.
06:23Are you crazy?
06:24What?
06:25Oh my God.
06:26I just feel like I'm really not ready to go all the way yet.
06:29We're all completely dumbfounded.
06:31Wow.
06:32Maya, come on.
06:33You're so close.
06:34She's made it to the final six and she's so talented.
06:37She really could make it to Bryan Park.
06:39I've done a lot, but I'm not quite ready to get to that point yet.
06:43In the beginning, I thought that I had really, really what it took.
06:47And I do think I have great ideas, but I just got out of school and I'm feeling like I'm not fully developed as a designer yet.
06:56What worries me about you is that you are very referential.
07:00It's always drawing from another designer's point of view.
07:04The day you put a collection of the catwalk that we say, inspired by, and that will destroy you.
07:11You know there's some things about my own point of view as a designer that I still need to work out.
07:16I don't want to put myself out there when I'm not completely ready to.
07:21And I'm having a hard time just like performing on command, you know.
07:26Do I want to just see it through for one more challenge?
07:29Yeah, I really think, I really think that it's my time.
07:33But I feel really, really happy that I've been here with you guys.
07:36You guys have been really inspiring to me.
07:38Well, we're desperately sorry to lose Jamiah.
07:41Oh my God, I'm gonna miss you.
07:43I'm really shocked.
07:44I thought that she really wanted to go to Bryant Park.
07:47Perplexed, baffled, none of us really understand why she's decided to leave.
07:54I think a lot of it has to do with her age, to be that young and have this much pressure.
08:02That's a cop out.
08:03If you're gonna leave, say okay, I'm gonna design my ultimate outfit and let them kick me out on that outfit.
08:10Good luck so far.
08:12Don't quit.
08:13Quitters never win.
08:14Bye guys.
08:15Bye.
08:18I know my limits.
08:20I've made my decision and I think it's time for me to go.
08:32Wow.
08:33I never expected that.
08:34I never expected that.
08:35I didn't either.
08:36You think it was just the moment, like right here is the end and what if I do make it and I don't know what the hell to do once I get there?
08:41Yeah, I think so.
08:42I mean, I think she's been feeling the pressure a lot lately.
08:46You know, we work 18, 20 hours a day, seven days a week.
08:50You're pretty much drained all the time.
08:53So, you know, anybody sitting at home saying, oh my God, I can't believe Maya quit.
08:57You know what?
08:58off.
08:59You have no clue.
09:01Don't judge.
09:02You come here and try it.
09:06But at least I'm coming in alone this time.
09:08That was a bit of a shock, yes?
09:10Yeah.
09:11That was just, wow.
09:12Very shocking.
09:13Yeah.
09:14I'm as stunned as you all are.
09:16Yeah.
09:17But let's rally ourselves.
09:19I want to rally you.
09:20And let's head off to mood because we still have a challenge.
09:22Mood.
09:23Let's go.
09:27All right, designers, don't disappoint Heidi.
09:29No pressure.
09:30Your 30 minutes starts now.
09:32Something's gonna photograph beautifully.
09:37That is, that looks like flesh.
09:39I want something that's gonna really make her pop.
09:42This is beautiful.
09:45I'm gonna look for a beautiful print that I can do my cut work between.
09:48I really wanna do a brighter color so the judges can really see it from the runway.
09:51Ten minutes.
09:52This time, instead of using such high contrast materials, I'm using gunmetal gray with gold.
10:01You have two minutes remaining, everyone.
10:03Okay, Mila, you just need to commit.
10:05You know, other people are using colors and that really represents who they are.
10:12But in Heidi's lookbook, half the dresses are black.
10:15Time.
10:16Come on, everyone.
10:17Let's go back to Parsons.
10:19Thank you, Mood.
10:27And then there were five.
10:29Since Maya has opted out, at least five of us.
10:32It's a lot to process.
10:34It's really hard to focus on the work, to be honest.
10:37How is that gonna play into the challenges?
10:38Who's going next?
10:39I mean, any one of us could go, including myself.
10:42Not.
10:43But I could.
10:47Time to simplify.
10:51Designers, I have an announcement.
10:54There are five of you.
10:56We were fully expecting for there to be six.
11:00Therefore, we are bringing a designer back.
11:05All of our little worlds have just been turned upside down.
11:10Crap.
11:11Who could it be?
11:17Coming up on Project Runway.
11:19Seth, Aaron.
11:20Yes, sir.
11:21I need to have a word with you outside.
11:22Uh-oh.
11:23And the day keeps getting weirder and weirder.
11:26It's basically like the space in between your bra.
11:28There is no space in between the bra.
11:30Do you just want to have a quick look?
11:31But this reminds me a little bit of, like, curtains.
11:34Designers, there are five of you.
11:35We were fully expecting for there to be six.
11:36The stake of the competition was really hinging on the fact that there were six of us.
11:49So, Maya's place will need to be filled.
11:57Here she is, boys!
11:59Woo!
12:01I have a second chance at greatness.
12:03Hi!
12:04Who wants Anthony back?
12:06But, hell, who wouldn't want Anthony back?
12:08I like him.
12:09You should like him, too.
12:10We wanted to bring the last designer who was eliminated back.
12:13And I'm very glad to be back.
12:15All right, so it's anyone's game.
12:17I knew you'd figure out how to talk your way back in.
12:20We need a level playing field.
12:21And if someone goes home, someone's injured, you know, just like in a football game, they bring someone else in.
12:27Chocolate!
12:28Chocolate!
12:29I'm glad to be back.
12:30I'm actually really happy to have Anthony back.
12:32You know, it's a shame to lose Maya.
12:33But Anthony, he's a breath of fresh air in that work room.
12:36I'm going to give you 30 minutes to sketch.
12:38Okay.
12:39Then you'll be going to Mood with a budget of $300 and 30 minutes to shop.
12:42And we will give you extra time that will correspond to the time that you've missed in the work room that the other designers have had.
12:48All right.
12:49So, it's a make it work moment for you, too.
12:51Yes.
12:52Thank you, Sam.
12:53Thanks, Anthony.
12:54Welcome back.
12:56I am an ambassador.
12:58I could be the representative of Second Chances.
13:01It would be wonderful if the judges have to take a deep breath and say, wait a minute.
13:06However, I just don't think that my ultimate goal is to prove something to them.
13:10This time around, the one person I need to impress is myself.
13:14Anthony, time to go to Mood.
13:16Though I'm sending you off on your own.
13:18Tim, who won't be right if you don't say, Anthony, don't pick that?
13:23I have to have a winning mind in order for me to make it all the way through.
13:27I can't doubt myself.
13:29I have to be able to show my best.
13:33How are they going, Jay?
13:34Good so far.
13:36I can't believe that it's Heidi's challenge, though.
13:38We only have one day.
13:39You're doing your cut work, right?
13:41Yeah.
13:42Anytime I do this cut work technique, I'm aware of how long it takes.
13:45I'm going to sew layers of fabric together and then cut away at them at different levels
13:49to create an open work filigree.
13:52I have nine and a half hours to finish a freaking masterpiece.
13:56The fabric is very, very drapey and kind of see-through.
14:00So my first thing is to build a fully boned understructure that will support the delicate fabric on top.
14:08So basically I'm making two dresses.
14:10I hope my dress is interesting enough.
14:12Mine's pretty simple.
14:14I want to create a sleek silhouette that will teardrop onto the floor.
14:20And my fit proportion is an absolute must.
14:24It's a busy day for me in here, let me tell you.
14:27Tim!
14:28Seth Aaron.
14:29Yes, sir.
14:30I need to have a word with you outside.
14:31Uh-oh.
14:33And the day just keeps getting weirder and weirder.
14:40Today really hurt me in the way that I am able to focus on my work.
14:45All of the events that have been happening, I feel like it's really putting me behind.
14:50What's up?
14:52Um, Valeria got offered Donna Karan.
14:55My model's been offered a job.
14:57Unfortunately, it takes place on runway day, so she's going.
15:01Oh, she is?
15:02Yeah.
15:03She took the job.
15:04So I get Carrie.
15:05I've never worked with Carrie.
15:06She is not Blairia's shape.
15:08But at this stage, I'm already so far into it, I don't know what's going to happen.
15:13Pass back.
15:14You're back.
15:15One day to make a freaking red carpet gown that's going to pass the scrutiny of the judges.
15:27I do feel some pressure, but I cannot allow the pressure that I'm feeling to consume me.
15:36Hi, guys.
15:37Hi, Heidi.
15:38Hi, Heidi.
15:39How are you guys working hard?
15:41Yes.
15:42And Miss Fang is back.
15:44Yeah.
15:45Welcome back.
15:47I'm glad to be back, Heidi.
15:48Heidi's going to take a look around.
15:49What the hell?
15:50I want to see what you guys have been doing.
15:52Heidi's never been in the workroom before with us here anyways.
15:56All the designers are sweating bullets.
15:59Can we have a look?
16:00You're kidding me.
16:01Hello.
16:02Hello.
16:03Heidi is not a shy judge.
16:04Heidi is very particular about every little detail.
16:08I love black, obviously, but I didn't want to go black black.
16:11So I found this great smoked black.
16:14Now, this looks like a short dress.
16:15You're taking it long, right?
16:16Oh, yeah.
16:17I've got to fit it because I have a new girl.
16:19Oh, yeah.
16:20Yeah.
16:21There's nothing wrong with black simple and long.
16:23I feel like something has to be a little bit more somewhere.
16:28Especially on the red carpet, you always have to have, like,
16:31some sort of showstopper.
16:33Thank you, Seth Aaron.
16:34You're back.
16:35Ooh, and you're going black and white.
16:37Yeah.
16:38What happens here?
16:39Is this all going to be, like, smooth and stuff?
16:41Well, after the waist, it kind of just falls.
16:44I'm not designing it to hug.
16:45I want it to move.
16:46I like black and white.
16:47So it's potentially something very exciting.
16:49Yeah.
16:50What are you doing?
16:51What I'm creating is, like, a long mermaid.
16:54And what's beautiful about this fabric is the further away you go from it,
16:57the less you see the individual sequins.
17:00And how do you make it go to the floor?
17:02I have to then just seam it on the bias.
17:05It's going to be very, very difficult.
17:08Mm-hmm.
17:09Which is a good thing.
17:10It is a good thing.
17:11Thank you so much.
17:12Thank you, Emilio.
17:13The whole idea is to kind of, like, continue these lines below the hip, which will kind
17:17of, like, ruffle.
17:18So you're going to do this with this hard fabric and with the soft fabric?
17:21Yes.
17:22Just think about, you know, we don't want to look bigger than we are.
17:25Think about how to do it and make her not look like she has a big ass.
17:30Then sitting around eating pie and cake.
17:32You know, this is a good thing.
17:33At the end of the day, she's wearing this piece that I'm designing for her.
17:37So her opinion matters.
17:39So there is the cleavage, but there is a block there.
17:42How does that look?
17:43It's basically, like, the space in between your bra.
17:46There is no space in between the bra.
17:48Do you just want to have a quick look?
17:50See?
17:51They kind of are together.
17:52Can I just show you?
17:53Look at this experience you're having.
17:55I know.
17:56Hi.
17:57How are you doing?
17:58Good.
17:59Tell us, what are you doing?
18:00So I've combined three different fabrics.
18:02And, you know, I was toying with the idea of doing some sort of combination of these
18:07two or even three fabrics for this strap area.
18:11Is it too simple?
18:12It's not too simple for me, but are the other ones better?
18:17Okay.
18:18Food for thought.
18:19Food for thought, for sure.
18:21I started with a color that wasn't in your dossier, but I thought it would be beautiful
18:24on you, which was coral.
18:25No, I think your palette's wonderful.
18:27To be honest, I do like these together.
18:30Mm-hmm.
18:31But this reminds me a little bit of, like, curtains.
18:36She immediately hates the fabric that I've been working on for eight hours.
18:42I think, like, all this twisting and this stuff is really beautiful.
18:46Sure.
18:47I would say cut this bit off and do more with these three things.
18:50My feeling is if you can make this work in the next four hours, you will be driving
18:55a very important point home to our judge about how versatile you are as a designer and
19:00how well you can respond.
19:01Yeah.
19:02Let's let him work.
19:03Exactly.
19:06Bye, everybody.
19:07Bye, everyone.
19:08See you on the runway.
19:09I can't wait.
19:10Me too.
19:11Here we go.
19:12Heidi mentions that she wants all sorts of drapey pieces that all lay over each other
19:17and go into the skirt and swirl around the dress.
19:20That's a dress that would probably take about a week to make.
19:22So, um, if I start now, I should be done next Thursday.
19:29Hi.
19:32Ooh.
19:33That's hot.
19:34Yeah, I'm happy for her and I'm happy I got you.
19:37You didn't know?
19:38No.
19:39Good evening.
19:40Hello.
19:42Why is Anthony here?
19:43Because, um, Maya.
19:47You're kidding.
19:48Did you guys see that coming?
19:49No.
19:50It was just out of the blue.
19:51I don't know.
19:57Since we haven't worked together, I just need to fit this.
19:59Because I know you're putting up through here.
20:01There she is.
20:02I have not seen Carrie.
20:03I don't know her measurements, like, where her back falls or anything.
20:06So, I'm working on having to revamp something I've already started.
20:09So, I'll pull that.
20:11This will be pulled already.
20:12I'm just going to go forward and hope it's enough to put me through.
20:17Okay.
20:18Thank you so much, buddy.
20:19Thank you, babe.
20:20I'll see you tomorrow.
20:21Good night.
20:22Yeah.
20:23Oh, my God.
20:24A lot has gone down today.
20:26People are really trying to pull out the tricks, at the same time balancing the timeframe.
20:30Maya's leaving.
20:31Valeria's leaving.
20:32Oh, Lord.
20:33I'm sweating like a freaking pig here.
20:35It's insanity in here.
20:36It's definitely becoming a huge pressure cooker.
20:40What the hell is in here?
20:44Heidi's scared that I'm going to make her butt look big.
20:47I either need to change it or just go with my gut and just do what my original intention is.
20:56I just have to figure it out.
20:58I don't give us any more time.
20:59I don't know if there's going to be a show tomorrow.
21:01So, the drapey dress that I'm making for Heidi is disgusting and looks horrifying on my mannequin.
21:14It's do or die time.
21:15Are you making a brand new dress?
21:16Yes.
21:17Wow.
21:18I tear the entire thing apart, pull out any extra yardage I have.
21:23I start a third dress.
21:25That's what you call.
21:26Making it work.
21:27I'm thinking really drapey bias cut panels, shorts show off Heidi's legs.
21:35Hopefully Brandeis is wearing a dress tomorrow.
21:40Coming up on Project Runway.
21:41Are you going to be able to do it?
21:43You have to do it.
21:44A, it doesn't say Heidi and B, it doesn't say red carpet.
21:47Oh!
21:48We're going down to the runway.
21:50I think it's just a matter of taste.
21:55Due to all the changes, my shutdown time is 2.30.
22:02So I only was able to sleep for an hour.
22:06But I'm working through it.
22:09Oh, Lord.
22:13I'm feeling really tired and stressed,
22:16and I'm worried after Heidi's critique yesterday.
22:20I'm definitely sweating here.
22:22Fire.
22:23Fire.
22:24Oh, yeah.
22:25Everybody is a little unsure of where they are, you know?
22:29We just don't have enough time to pull out red carpet looks.
22:33It's always good when we're all in the same awful, horrible, sinking boat.
22:37God, be with me today.
22:41And I want to take this moment to send out a special message to Miss Maya.
22:55And God bless you, too.
22:58I try to keep my momentum up.
23:07I'm kind of a spastic type person, so even me at half speed is way faster than the average person.
23:14I am feeling very, very, very, very rushed.
23:19There's so much to do.
23:20I am absolutely redesigning the front of my dress.
23:23Not because I sewed it wrong, just because the interface is doing something weird,
23:27and I just do not have time to deal with it.
23:29So life is very interesting right now.
23:31This piece that I'm making, it's so intricate and tricky that I just have to finish it and show the judges that I can do other things besides the things that I've been doing over the past challenges.
23:43You can't go out there thinking you know anything about what they're thinking.
23:47Go out there, present something nice, and hope for this.
23:51Jonathan, he started over.
23:53He made an entire new dress last night at 11.30.
23:57I look over and it's just got a funky hem on it, and it doesn't really look like good draping, unfortunately.
24:04I do find some relief in seeing other designers struggling because if I'm in the bottom,
24:11maybe somebody else's dress will tank worse than mine.
24:16I'm loaded behind.
24:17I still have to do a zipper, and that always could be problematic.
24:20I need every second I can get.
24:25Good morning, everyone.
24:26Good morning, Tim.
24:28How are you?
24:29We are stressed for time, Mr. Tim.
24:31Well, Tim, last night I get home to 2.35, and then I was back up at 5.
24:37Are you going to be able to do it?
24:39You have to do it.
24:40I have to do it, but I'm working through it.
24:42All right, designers, you have an hour to send your models to the L'Oreal Paris makeup room
24:47in the Garnier hair salon.
24:49Use the bluefly.com wall very thoughtfully.
24:53Red carpet, Heidi Klum, wow the judges.
24:57I mean, I hate to say it, work like there's no tomorrow because for one of you there won't be.
25:01There won't be tomorrow.
25:02That's right.
25:03I'm going to send in your models.
25:04So, I want you to put this on so I can put it on the right height.
25:12And then while you're down getting makeup, I'm just...
25:14Not so polished?
25:15Yeah, not so polished.
25:20A smoked black tight dress with a little boob with studs on it.
25:23And it's going to work.
25:25Pow.
25:27It'll be good to go.
25:40I like the look on her.
25:41It's almost vampire looking.
25:43So, we'll see how they react to that.
25:45What Seth Aaron has selected, A, it doesn't say Heidi, and B, it doesn't say red carpet.
25:52Designers, in ten minutes, you and your models and I are going down to the runway.
25:58Thank you, Tim.
25:59Make it work.
26:00I think Heidi's going to look amazing in my dress.
26:02It's super sexy, sophisticated, and modern.
26:06Mila's dress fits a little strangely today.
26:09She may have a little bit of a problem.
26:11Yeah.
26:12Designers and models, we're going down to the runway.
26:18Here we go.
26:19You look beautiful, baby.
26:21This is so different from anything else I've put down the runway, that maybe the judges will love it, because they hate what I usually do.
26:27This is it.
26:28It's at the end.
26:29There's six of us left, and I don't want to go home.
26:32I think it's just a matter of taste.
26:34Well done.
26:38Coming up on Project Runway.
26:40I think it is too simple.
26:41There isn't a woman on the planet who would say, oh, I want people to think I have a fat butt.
26:47We do not have a winner for this challenge.
26:56Hello.
26:57Hi.
26:58Welcome to the runway.
26:59Welcome to the runway.
27:00As you know, in fashion one day you're in, and the next day you're out.
27:05And then maybe the next day you're in again.
27:08Right, Anthony?
27:09There are six of you here, and after tonight there will be five.
27:14For this challenge we ask you to design a red carpet look for me.
27:20I'm looking for a design that I can wear to one of the many red carpet events that I go to.
27:26Alright, let's meet the judges.
27:28First we have top American designer Michael Kors.
27:30Hey guys.
27:31I'm Michael.
27:32Fashion director for Marie Claire Magazine, Nina Garcia.
27:35Hi.
27:36Hi.
27:37We have a surprise guest judge today who has spent a lot of time on the red carpet.
27:42Internationally known actress and style icon.
27:46Hi.
27:47Hi.
27:48Jessica.
27:49Hi.
27:50Dangerous.
27:51Hi guys.
27:52Hi.
27:53I'm Jessica.
27:54Hi.
27:55How are you?
27:56Nice to meet y'all.
27:57Nice to meet you too.
27:58I'm so happy to be here.
27:59I'm so happy to be on the show.
28:00We're happy to have you.
28:01We will score your designs as they come down the runway.
28:03One of you will be named the winner, and one of you will be out.
28:07Let's start the show.
28:12There's something about me that likes to exaggerate certain areas of women, especially the butt
28:23area.
28:24I guess I like big butts.
28:29I made a really nice dress, but I think that it's not as well constructed as I usually
28:40like my things to be.
28:42But the quality of the work is there, and I think the judges are going to see that.
28:52The gown is absolutely beautiful.
28:54It moves.
28:55It's not stiff.
28:56It's refreshing.
28:57She looks expensive.
28:59She exceeds my expectation as she walks down the runway.
29:03I love it.
29:04I absolutely love the dress.
29:10One thing I always do is look at it in awe, and then look at Heidi's face.
29:15I can tell she's either mesmerized or she's curious.
29:19I am very happy.
29:21It's just everything that I want it to be.
29:31Seeing Brandeis in my dress makes me feel a little bit confident and a little bit scared
29:36at the same time.
29:37The front of the dress is appearing a little flat, but when she hits the end of the runway
29:41just the judges her back, I can see that they're all a little bit taken by the detailing there.
29:55This is where I need to be for this competition.
29:59Spectacular, expensive, put together, polished, beautifully executed, knockout, wow moment winner.
30:08We're going to talk to all of you today.
30:16One of you will be named the winner, and one of you will be out.
30:21Seth Aaron, tell us about your red carpet look.
30:24I went for a more sleek, sophisticated look.
30:27When I designed this, I thought who I was designing it for, but wanted to keep it still me.
30:32I think you worry too much about you.
30:35I would be more worried about making something that would be flattering for Heidi.
30:40This almost looks like if you were at an awards ceremony,
30:43this would be the girl who actually came out and carried the statue when you won.
30:48But this isn't the winner.
30:50I like it.
30:51I do.
30:52I think it's me.
30:53Maybe I got wrapped up in who it was for, overwhelmed.
30:56My biggest thing is this is for Heidi, for the red carpet.
31:01It just doesn't really seem like something that I've seen her in.
31:05I think it has to have some sort of sex appeal somewhere.
31:08Either it's the cleavage isn't done in a way that looks glorious, or I don't know where the wow effect is.
31:15Anthony, tell us about your look.
31:19I wanted to create a beautiful palette for you to accessorize and there isn't a color palette more sophisticated than black and white have done properly.
31:28And I most definitely think that my design today speaks to my aesthetic.
31:33I love your dress.
31:34Oh, Jesus.
31:35It's very sexy, but it's not too sexy.
31:38It's not vulgar.
31:39It's very elegant.
31:40I love when she was walking and it flowed and it's beautiful from all angles.
31:45I love it.
31:46I think it's great.
31:47I think you're finally in your zone.
31:49I think it's stunning.
31:50I think you really capture the glamour of the red carpet.
31:55Heidi would look fantastic in it.
31:57So would Jessica.
31:58So would many other celebrities.
32:00And it's nice that it's like one movie on one side and another movie on the other side, depending on how you feel.
32:07Mila, tell us about your look.
32:09I wanted to do something sleek and sexy for you with some modern lines.
32:14And I thought about jewelry again, because I know how much you love jewelry and how many options you might have.
32:19You know, I like this type of dress and I wear them a lot.
32:22I just think it might be a little too wide in the bust area.
32:27I hate how the cups fit her.
32:29They're spreading out to the side and the straps in the wrong place.
32:32So it's not doing fabulous things for the chest.
32:34Because quite honestly, if you wear this dress, it's about the cleavage.
32:38I think it is too simple.
32:39I feel like it is not a showstopper.
32:42Emilio, tell us about your look.
32:44I designed a very sophisticated silhouette, but the fabric was what inspired me.
32:48It was like liquid gold, because it's still a metallic, but we wanted to keep the fluid lines to it.
32:54It's impeccable.
32:55And her hair is great with it.
32:59Great.
33:00It is simple, but it is sexy at the same time.
33:05And it has an amazing fit.
33:07This fabric could have looked really cheap.
33:10It looks very expensive, but very easily it could have gone the opposite direction.
33:16I think it fits like a glove.
33:18The trick that you did that other designers do as well, because I've worn these glittery strapless dresses,
33:25and it's building the entire dress underneath is key.
33:30Jay, tell us about your look.
33:31I wanted to design a strapless short dress, and I had in my mind I wanted to use color this time,
33:37but not too strong.
33:38And it's a 360 experience, so it's the same thing where you see as she turns around.
33:43The design of the corset I think is beautiful, and it is impeccable.
33:47I saw it, like, this close up.
33:49It's just the bottom needs to have a little different something-something.
33:53If you're gonna play with volume on bottom, there isn't a woman on the planet who would say,
34:00oh, I want people to think I have a fat butt and big hips.
34:04Like, she just doesn't exist.
34:06Can you turn around?
34:08You have the horizontal pleating, and then you have the ruffles.
34:12She looks wide.
34:14She's tiny.
34:15My hips are bigger after I gave birth, but I'm still trying to disguise it, personally.
34:20I still try to wear things to keep that to a minimum.
34:24Jonathan, tell us about your look.
34:26I wanted to do something that was a little easier, a little sexier, maybe a little more fun.
34:31I love short, but boy, is this short.
34:34I think if she even takes a big enough step, you might see her butt cheek.
34:38It might be just a little too short.
34:40The back of the dress, there's something effortless about the way the back of that dress looks.
34:44The front looks like you were like, I've got ten minutes left and I gotta jam this fabric in here.
34:49Did you run out of fabric?
34:51I ran out of coral, yes.
34:53This is the third dress.
34:54You made three?
34:55Yes.
34:56You made three.
34:57So this is the third version or the third dress?
35:00The second version of this dress, the third dress.
35:04So this really was an insane rush that we're looking at in the front.
35:09It looks it.
35:10The color choice for this dress makes her look waxy, plasticky, and it won't photograph.
35:16Okay, we've heard what you had to say.
35:19We better have a little chat and then I'm gonna call you back.
35:22You can leave the runway.
35:29Okay, let's talk about Seth Aaron.
35:31He just went super safe and quite boring.
35:34No sense of surprise.
35:35You're on the red carpet.
35:36You want some surprise.
35:37Looks like she was going to a funeral.
35:40You have an insane body.
35:42You should see that.
35:46Let's talk about Anthony.
35:47He was basically let go and then we had another designer.
35:51Maya was her name.
35:52It was too much stress for her.
35:54So she left.
35:55The rules are the last person that was let go comes back.
35:59This is a tough show to be on, but this is nothing compared to the real world.
36:03But Anthony, that was quite a beautiful dress that he made.
36:06Gorgeous.
36:07Really chic and very elegant.
36:09Part of the allure of that dress is when you walk and there's...
36:12The leg.
36:13Yes, the leg and the movement to it.
36:16I would wear that dress.
36:19Can I borrow it?
36:23It's really unfortunate with Jonathan.
36:25You know, I don't know what went wrong here.
36:28The terribly sloppy front, which I think was so unflattering,
36:32really did look like just a dull pillowcase that you had bunched.
36:36Waxy.
36:37Yeah, waxy.
36:38Plasticky.
36:39Color was really strange.
36:40It looked very amateur.
36:46Let's talk about Jay.
36:47If the skirt would have been fuller, in fact, it would have looked intentional.
36:52Even these ruffles, they need to go a different way.
36:55Like, they should have just been going a different way completely if you wanted volume in that skirt.
37:00I said I don't want to look big.
37:02I mean, who does?
37:03You don't want to be big in the thighs or big on the booty.
37:06Not that you have a, you know, a big butt.
37:09I mean, that's the last thing you'd want.
37:13Let's talk about Emilio.
37:15He is the only one who knew to put the right structure into the dress.
37:18Amazing.
37:19I mean, look how perfect that was.
37:21He really worked that fabric to its best potential.
37:25I like glitter, but it is the right kind of glitter.
37:28It is not like crazy glitter.
37:31I love that.
37:35What about Mila?
37:36It looked like something the housewives of New Jersey would wear.
37:40And the cut was really so unflattering.
37:43Not for red carpet.
37:44It kind of seems more appropriate for like a cocktail.
37:47Go to dinner.
37:48Go to dinner with your husband, you know.
37:50Mila is talented and she has great skills, but do we want to see more from her?
37:58Have we made our decision?
38:01All right, let's bring them back up.
38:06The six of you represent the best and the worst.
38:11One of you will be named the winner and one of you will be out.
38:19The six of you represent the best and the worst and one of you will be out.
38:27Designers, we do not have a winner for this challenge.
38:34We have two winners.
38:37Emilio, you are the winner of this challenge.
38:42I absolutely adored your dress.
38:43It was impeccable.
38:45I really can't wait to wear it on the red carpet.
38:47Great.
38:48Looking forward to it.
38:50Jessica, would you like to tell us who the other winner is?
38:53I would.
38:58Anthony.
39:00You are the other winner.
39:01I would actually like to wear your dress if it's okay with you.
39:02Oh.
39:03Good.
39:04Anytime.
39:06Congratulations.
39:07You can leave the runway.
39:08Thank you again, everyone.
39:09Come on.
39:10Oh, I didn't know if I could leave.
39:11Four total, three consecutive wins.
39:12This is where I wanted to be at the end of the competition.
39:13Woo!
39:14Never in a million years did I think that I would be invited back only to win a challenge and
39:20not just any challenge, a challenge that will allow my garment to be featured on Jessica
39:21Alvin.
39:22Oh, my God.
39:23Oh, my God.
39:24Oh, my God.
39:25Wow.
39:26Seth Aaron, you're win.
39:27You can leave the runway.
39:58Mila, you're in. You can leave the runway.
40:02Thank you. Thanks for another chance.
40:08Jay, this was not a flattering red carpet dress,
40:11and no woman wants to look bigger than she is.
40:15And I warned you about that.
40:18Jonathan, though there was some nice detail in the back,
40:23the front was a mess.
40:26This was another effort that fell short of your talent.
40:32Jay, you're in.
40:39Leave the runway.
40:41Which means, Jonathan, you are out.
40:50Happy Dizzy.
40:53Good luck.
40:55Thank you all so much. I appreciate everything.
40:57Good luck.
40:58Good luck.
40:59I wish I could lie and say that I'm more surprised
41:02that I'm eliminated.
41:03How could I ever compete with the kind of gown
41:05that Emilio created or Anthony created
41:08with a dress that I made in two hours?
41:17I'm very excited about where I got in this competition.
41:19Oh, my God.
41:24This is definitely closing a chapter.
41:26Jonathan, we are going to miss you so much.
41:28I have to send you to the work room to clean up your space.
41:30No problem.
41:31I did it.
41:32I came here.
41:33I kicked a little bit of ass.
41:34Not all ass, but I'm going home with my head held high.
41:38Next time on Project Runway.
41:42And then there were five.
41:45This challenge will decide who goes to Fashion Week.
41:49This is the one challenge that everyone needs
41:51to put it all out there.
41:53Emilio just had a viewing party.
41:55Of course he did.
41:57The stakes are higher than ever.
41:59You need to turn up the volume.
42:01Any direction I go in, I'm wrong.
42:03It's our last challenge.
42:04I know.
42:05I think the pants, we have crazy crotch.
42:10It is a complete snooze.
42:12She's like a big blue condom.
42:35She's completelyJean Milky Way.
42:37We should zoom right in.
42:38I will see you.
42:39We should search for a win.
42:40I've aother body.
42:41Now you can travel.
42:42I'm just going to come back in.
42:43You can walk in there.
42:45And walk with car to watch a vlog.
42:47Bye-bye to watch a movie show.
42:50The most funny as a movie shows you next time.
42:53After you're listening to the TV channel.
42:55And
42:57Huh.
42:57Which you're hosting your life,
42:59right?
42:59Never mind.
43:00You're hiding?
43:01I can't remember.
43:02I can't remember.
