00:01Previously on Project Runway...
00:03Congratulations, you're going to Fashion Week!
00:06If you want to win this, I'd like you to reconceptualize the whole thing.
00:11I wasn't expecting a complete start over.
00:13Here's my point.
00:14What is your point?
00:15My point is, you don't have a lot of time left.
00:16Right.
00:17And I'm saying, I don't know that this is worth your time.
00:19That's all.
00:20But you do whatever you want to do.
00:23Mila and Jay, you will be presenting your three strongest looks to the judges
00:28who will determine which one of you will move forward.
00:37Mila, congratulations.
00:39You're going to Fashion Week.
00:40I'm sorry, Jay.
00:41That means you're out.
00:45One tip.
00:46Yes.
00:47Hair, makeup, styling.
00:49Keep it, yeah.
00:50And modern.
00:51You're still.
00:52This is Project Runway.
00:54The winner of Project Runway will receive a fashion spread
00:57in Marie Claire Magazine.
00:58An opportunity to sell their line on bluefly.com.
01:01A $50,000 technology suite to create, design, and run their business
01:05from HP and Intel.
01:06And $100,000 from L'Oreal Paris to launch their line.
01:16Yes.
01:17Yay, my table.
01:18Oh, my.
01:19I'm a finalist.
01:20I'm ready to go.
01:22Here we are, the final three.
01:24This is the big one.
01:25This is where all that hard work, sweat, tears, sacrifice are going to come to pay off.
01:33I'm so close.
01:34I can taste it.
01:37Everybody's pulling out their stuff.
01:39I'm excited to see what they've done.
01:41Sizing up the comp.
01:42I still see Seth Aaron's collection as a glamorous, hot topic.
01:49It's just got so much going on.
01:51I think Mila's garments are beautifully made, but it's very severe and very demure.
01:57First impression of Emilio's collection, I'm in a boutique in Harlem in 1994.
02:04This collection, as an overall collection, you know, it's definitely older.
02:09Now that I've seen what they've done, I'm feeling like I could win.
02:14Good morning, everybody.
02:16Good morning, Tim.
02:17I'm here just to check in with you, see how you're doing.
02:20Seth Aaron.
02:21So how are you feeling about things?
02:23Let's start with, this is one of my favorites.
02:26It's red wool, purple Tim, dress coat.
02:29This is a top.
02:30How many different looks do you have?
02:3224.
02:33Pieces.
02:34How many actual looks do you have?
02:3624.
02:3724 looks?
02:38Yeah.
02:39You only need 10.
02:40You know, this was the first vision.
02:41I had to get that out.
02:42With your advice, I can move forward.
02:44Good.
02:45You know, based on Tim's advice, I really wanted to create a more clean sophistication to my line
02:52and have them look at it and say, wow, he grew.
02:55He took it to the next level.
02:57Emilio.
02:58Hey, Tim.
02:59How are you?
03:00I'm good.
03:01How are you doing?
03:02When I critique it, it was a tough critique.
03:06Haven't we seen this before?
03:08I'm not saying this in a barbed, hostile way.
03:10Okay.
03:11I know, but...
03:12I'm trying to help you get prepared for the runway question and answer session.
03:15Right.
03:16Sometimes what Tim thinks and what the judges think are two different things.
03:20So I'm hedging all my bets on the judges.
03:23Thank you, Emilio.
03:25Mila.
03:26I'm so eager to see what you're up to.
03:28All right.
03:29So this is a mohair top with patent leather.
03:32Again, quite 60s in shape.
03:34But I'm styling it with this mini.
03:38The one word that has resonated in me from the judges about the styling of your work has been rough.
03:46Mm-hmm.
03:47Roughing it up.
03:48Absolutely.
03:49Yeah, I mean, Michael said more rock and roll.
03:50Right.
03:51So I'm gonna do that.
03:52All right.
03:53Keep working, Mila.
03:54All right.
03:56Thanks.
03:57Hey, designers.
03:58I am so thrilled for you about tomorrow.
04:01It is so tremendously exciting.
04:03You're showing at New York Fashion Week at Bryant Park.
04:07All right.
04:08Great.
04:09And I trust that you have studied the bluefly.com wall very thoughtfully.
04:13And you will have model casting this afternoon.
04:15In fact, it will begin soon.
04:17Have a good night.
04:18Enjoy the Weston Hotel at Times Square.
04:21I'll see you in the morning.
04:22All right, baby.
04:23Peace.
04:24I'm focusing on edgier-looking girls.
04:29Could maybe look like rockers, Hollywood, New York girls.
04:33Great.
04:35That's like the little bit of exotic that I need.
04:37Yeah, it's enough.
04:38But not too much.
04:39You know, it's enough.
04:40I wanted to represent the world.
04:42And the world is a multicultural world.
04:46The right vibe, the right look, the right walk.
04:50It's a make or break.
04:51My girl's gonna kick your girl's ass.
04:53Uh-uh.
04:54Hi, Collier.
04:55Hi.
04:56We're going to have my makeup consultation with Collier Strong.
04:59The notes from the judges were a little grungier, a little grittier, a little edgier.
05:03The liner.
05:04It's just this gritty, dirty kind of eye.
05:06That looks like it feels really nice.
05:08Yeah, it does, actually.
05:09Doesn't it?
05:10Yeah.
05:11It looks like this is a new thing.
05:12You like it?
05:13I love it.
05:14I love it.
05:15I love it.
05:16I love it.
05:17And with this magic perfecting base, I add a beautiful shimmer to the skin.
05:21This is amazing.
05:22It gets every single lash.
05:24Metallic black shadow.
05:25Happy?
05:26Yeah.
05:27It looks great.
05:28So I want it to go really black.
05:31I'm envisioning this big, dark eye.
05:33It looks amazing.
05:34Double extend, lash-boosting mascara.
05:37It's a fuller, longer look.
05:39And then the lip.
05:40I think it's a beautiful compliment to how strong the eye is.
05:43You're L'Oreal, huh?
05:44What's up?
05:45I'm very excited.
05:46I'm Mila.
05:47Nice to meet you.
05:48Nice to meet you.
05:49You're a genius.
05:50I'm putting Kristina in the red wool dress with leather detail because it represents my point
06:05of view at the next level.
06:07I want him to be wowed like, you know, he's growing.
06:10Cool.
06:11How does that feel?
06:12It's good.
06:13You know, they'll stretch out a little once you have them on.
06:15Just because you designed a collection at home for two months, when you actually put a girl
06:19in a piece of garment and she walks, everything changes.
06:22There's some pieces that I designed that are not working, so I'm condensing a lot of technical
06:27work in a very short amount of time.
06:29I'll let it out on the side scene.
06:31I really only have one shot to get the clothes on and pick a look.
06:36It's pretty intense.
06:37Oh, it's crazy.
06:38I mean, I've never experienced anything like this in my entire life.
06:41I'm going to have my hair consultation now with Garnier.
06:46Based on the judge's critique, I need to make my collection look a little bit edgier.
06:52A rock and roll.
06:53More rock and roll in a less controlled way.
06:55Sleek and shine smoothie milk.
06:56Get all the frizz, all the flyaways, full control, non aerosol, so you get a little bit more
07:02of that rock and roll flavor.
07:04Exactly.
07:06Some kind of ponytail, but not something severe.
07:10Young and fresh, sophisticated, but not matronly, right?
07:15Yeah, the profile is beautiful.
07:16Yeah.
07:17Clean.
07:18Very slick.
07:19But in a modern time.
07:20In a modern time.
07:21So I'm going to switch to full control aerosol hairspray because I need to keep this drier.
07:27I need to get as much fullness off of this as I can.
07:30Awesome.
07:31I think it's great.
07:35This is a defining moment in my life.
07:38This is for all those people who knew I could do it before I even believed I could do it.
07:44In this process, I asked my family to make sacrifices for me to pursue my dream.
07:51You know, I owe them a lot for that.
07:53Winning Project Runway, it would change our lives.
07:58You guys ready?
07:59Yeah.
08:00The show is tomorrow and a gazillion things are going through my head right now.

19:29And a lot is writing on this show.
19:32The next 45 minutes are going to change my life.
19:35Hello, everyone. Good morning.
19:37I just want to thank everyone for coming here to see us.
19:40We've worked so hard, and I'm glad that you're here to support us.
19:45The collection is called Color Me Bad.
19:47It was inspired by my mom and her sisters.
19:50La Quiero Mucho. Enjoy.
19:54I thought my collection was an amazing mix of wearable clothing
20:24to own.
20:31I thought my collection was made to own.
20:32You'll be right back.
20:33Yeah.
20:34Bye bye.
20:36Bye.
20:36Bye bye.
20:46Bye bye.
20:46Bye bye.
20:47Bye bye.
20:48Bye bye.
20:49Bye bye.
20:50Bye bye.
20:51Bye bye.
20:51Bye bye.
20:51Bye bye.
20:52Bye bye.
20:52Bye bye.
20:53This collection says a lot about who I am as a designer and as a person, as an artist,
21:19so I'm happy with that.
21:49I'm happy with that.
22:19I'm happy with that.
22:49I thought Mila's collection with the shadows was very interesting. I liked the idea of being inspired by shadows
22:55Well, Seth Aaron's collection. I really liked a lot and it was sexy and cool
23:00Emilia was in a collection is very sophisticated. It was very fresh. I really have to say I will go with Mila
23:08Milia's outerwear was actually quite fantastic
23:10I like the dresses with the word prints on them. I like that it reminded me of the 90s and I'm totally bringing back the 90s
23:16I love Seth's collection the military-inspired look is definitely a home run for me
23:27Seth Aaron's collection was a little more
23:31Whimsical and I think Emilio and Mila's collections could be bought right off the runway
23:36So I think it's really gonna come down to what the judges are looking for
23:38I
23:44Was very happy today. I thought it was an absolutely amazing show. I thought it was a great show. I was very impressed
23:50I think these were without a question
23:53Three very talented designers and they were consistent throughout the entire season. They all had this distinct point of view and
24:02I was really kind of blown away by it. Okay, let's bring out the designers
24:08Before we begin I want to tell you that we could not be more impressed with what you showed us today
24:22Congratulations guys fantastic show guys
24:26Great job today really enjoyed it
24:29Let's bring out your models
24:31Let's start with
24:43Seth Aaron
24:44Well, basically my inspiration was 1940s German and Russian military from color palette to my structure
24:52I wanted to show innovation
24:54Have it remain me just polished
24:57Well, first off you really know how to craft clothes
25:03Beautifully I thought that you know just the kaboom the pow of what you sent out
25:10Was exhilarating
25:13Powerful and you did step up the luxury and at the same time it still stayed young
25:19I mean the dress that she's wearing if she just had on black pumps and a ponytail
25:24It's actually a commercial wearable dress
25:27So that's a great sleight of hand to have a powerful show filled with clothes that people can wear
25:34Thank you so much. I
25:38Congratulate you because yes, you have grown up your clothes do look more sophisticated
25:43There are some favorites. I love that silk black and white
25:48Kind of parachute dress. I thought to myself I would I would totally rock that I would wear that
25:54In a heartbeat. I just figure it's really great
25:56Chloe just to like make people go away and then I love your combination of the polka dot with the tweed and the stripe
26:04You still have a heavy hand in some outfits, but I like that you have many ideas
26:10It was a great show you put on a fantastic show and it was a very editorial
26:15Collection I wasn't sure about the purple that per I would have to agree on the purple
26:21But I really thought it was a very exciting show for really really exciting
26:27Emilio tell us about your inspiration in your collection. I wanted to create a
26:32collection rooted and great American sportswear tweaked
26:36Through color and proportion and I want to create pieces that a woman can actually wear and feel comfortable and
26:45Beautiful in why color me bad because I think color is a way to amp up
26:51A collection you can look very polished and sophisticated
26:55But you have a little badness in you, so maybe you want to put on a red dress and
26:59So I just like the idea of it called color me bad. I was knocked out. Oh, thank you. I was
27:06The coats in your collection just blew me away the coat here that you're wearing
27:11The length of the sleeve is so flattering on a woman and then the turquoise coat that came out just
27:18The way it was fitted was impeccable
27:21Just gorgeous. I liked your collection, too. I especially liked your print. Thank you
27:27Because that is your last name right? That is the eSosa brand. Oh, yes
27:31You actually sent out the most commercial of the three
27:35That being said my favorite thing was your least commercial thing. I thought the gown was the gown
27:41Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you
27:45Unbelievable. I really enjoyed the collection. Thank you. I thought the jump though from this very daytime
27:53sportswear attitude
27:55To that very glamorous gown. I was kind of missing the step in between
28:01But overall I have to say you could roll that rack into any
28:06Fabulous store in America and everyone would say sign me up
28:10Nina, what did you think? I think it was an extremely sophisticated quiet but sophisticated collection
28:17The drama and the beauty of that gold dress was fantastic
28:22I wish we would have had a little more of that
28:25I thought this collection was a little heavy on the suitings
28:29Too much tailoring maybe too many coats when you do feminine so well
28:35So I wish I would have seen more of that. I missed more of that Emilio something I hadn't done in the collection
28:41Was sportswear was tailoring and I wanted to showcase that so you can see that I am a versatile designer
28:51Mila tell us about your inspiration and your collection
28:55I was really for some reason paying a lot of attention to shadows that I would see around town on the ground
29:02Creating layers creating texture dimension and you know interesting graphic shapes, but also illusions
29:09I wanted to create some interesting signature pieces that
29:14Were wearable yet still unique. I really liked your show. I like the changes that you've made
29:20Especially what Michael and Nina said last time and really think about
29:24The hair and makeup again and not making it maybe so literal of the 60s
29:29You killed the girl in the cage doing the frugue
29:33You took her out of the 60s
29:35You made it look totally contemporary
29:38I think the styling really helped you tremendously
29:42Because the clothes were already there, you know, it was just how do you take this and make it look now
29:49I loved the shiny skirt the little sequin skirt with the strip down the front of that top
29:55I thought that mixed media piece that was kind of a tunic dress with the leggings wherever you played with shine
30:02It really turned me on
30:04Because I thought there was something about it that was a little nasty, but in a good way
30:10I had a lot of pieces in there that I really loved that I would like to have I loved for example
30:15This very simple white t-shirt
30:18With the stripes going all different angles. I thought that was really great with the sweater over it
30:23I thought it was a great show the dress that I would wear in a heartbeat
30:28Is the one with the black and white scarf
30:31That you had very graphic
30:33I love that you had the white and the black glove and the way you did the leggings with the um loved it with love the leggings
30:40Yeah, I think this runway show was very successful
30:46I think the changes that you made in the hair and makeup held
30:50tremendously
30:52And I agree when you loosen up
30:56It becomes a lot cooler
30:58I think you're very buttoned up and I think when it loosens up I think it helps
31:03I really do think it helps
31:07Well, we have a lot to talk about it's going to be a tough decision
31:10We heard what you had to say we're going to have a little chat
31:13Or maybe a big one and then I'm going to call you back. You can leave the runway. Thank you very much. Thank you guys
31:19Congratulations. Thank you
31:28I have to say I like all three of them
31:30I think the three of them really
31:33Had this real I don't know sense of accomplishment
31:38And and pride this time around they've really very mature. Yeah, let's start with Mila. She really
31:45Showed us I think the culmination of what she's been saying for the whole season
31:50Listen, she had two looks that I really love Mila really turned it out. You know why? Yeah, both. They're both
31:58modern contemporary
32:00Softer and I think that she's great at mixing textiles the sheerness on the legging the leggings the leggings are great
32:08Leggings were great. The leggings are great
32:10Yeah, so she has that potential there when she doesn't get caught up in her geometry lessons
32:16I I thought it all look great, but I thought it wasn't surprising
32:21So but then you were really surprised at Seth
32:28I I mean I was surprised in terms of excitement about each piece that he did but I wasn't surprised about
32:35The kind of things that he made because that to me showed Seth Aaron the same way this showed Mila
32:41I was surprised about one thing and I think this is a big thing to be surprised about with Seth Aaron
32:47It was so much more sophisticated than where he has been. I mean this was
32:54polished and an expensive looking but still with his flavor my issue once again with him though
33:01I mean it does get overwrought it can borderline
33:05Uncostomy jokey very easily he's got to be very careful on that, but look when he goes chic. Oh, yeah
33:16These dresses in a department store. They would even have hanger appeal. Oh, absolutely you would go over there
33:22You know the interesting thing also he understood that today what he was putting on was a fashion show
33:27Show show show and here's the other thing I think about Seth Aaron has
33:34In a way a little more guts
33:37He's more fearless and you need a little bit of that
33:42Okay, let's talk about the milio. I was really knocked out by him
33:46He was so clever and then comes that dress that was so beautifully crafted
33:53I mean it was so feminine and sexy and strong and confident
33:58It was um, I was knocked out by this guy
34:02Emilio
34:03Today went the opposite route of of the other two designers. He went more quiet. Yeah
34:09He was like well, I've wowed you through the season and now i'm going to show you that i'm commercial
34:15Emilio was really thinking
34:17More business wise. I mean he'd he did develop that
34:23Print with his last name. I mean he's which is priceless the fact that i don't have to tone it down
34:31For real life makes me think that he was
34:35Kind of showing a line not a collection. There's a difference. I don't know where was the drama
34:42So what are we judging on today on your business sense on i think who is willing to learn
34:48Or who do we know was the most creative who's the most who has the most to say
34:53But just on the show today, or are we thinking about the season on project runway?
35:01Well when you think about it
35:03They got to show us more today than they did in the whole season well today today is the ultimate challenge
35:09Which is their one-way show? Well, Emilio
35:13He's got that kind of really analytical eye
35:17That he's looking at the littlest detail
35:20But I don't know that there was a lot of showmanship today, you know
35:25Turn the volume knob up a touch
35:27But that being said
35:29Hands down out of all the clothes we saw today the most flattering
35:34Easiest to wear the most sophisticated
35:39Wow this is really tough not an easy one no so have we made our decision
35:50Okay, let's bring them back out
36:01Congratulations to all three of you all of your collections were polished and professional
36:06And i have to tell you that you made our decision today really really tough
36:23Emilio seth aaron mila only one of you can be the winner of project runway
36:29Seth aaron you maintained your signature style but you took it to the next level today
36:41You really accomplished your goal of amping up the sophistication and elegance you still have to watch the boundary between chic and costumey
36:51But you certainly do know how to put on a show
36:53Emilio
36:57Your taste and craftsmanship have always impressed us and today was no exception
37:04We loved your evening gown and wish we could have seen a couple of more showstoppers
37:09However, your point of view has a real place in fashion
37:14Mila
37:19You proved that you could take the 60s aesthetic that you love so much and put your unique spin on it
37:26We really loved your softer looks that you showed today as always your point of view was clear
37:33But we wished you would have stepped a little bit more out of your comfort zone to surprise us
37:44Mila
37:46I really think that it's never too late to follow your dream
38:08I lost my way a little bit on my path to being a fashion designer
38:12But having the opportunity to compete on project runway has made me
38:19Realize that i'm really meant to be a fashion designer you're still a winner of course i'm disappointed
38:25i mean i would be lying if i wasn't but i think that
38:30Lots of great opportunities lie ahead for me and i'm so grateful to have had this experience
38:35Seth Aaron
