00:05:17We're on episode 13.
00:05:21I almost forgot, I almost forgot the hustler, I want to go ahead and give a very special thank you to my executive producer.
00:05:34I want to thank God for giving me, I want to thank God for giving me another opportunity, another challenge when it comes to producing content.
00:05:44I'm able to come out here.
00:06:14What you're rocking with me, one way you're rocking with me, one way you're rocking with me, one way you're rocking with me, one way you can let me know, of course, is by sharing this content.
00:06:18What do they say?
00:06:20Sharing is caring.
00:06:22So please go ahead and share this video, share the link, bring new people in.
00:06:28And I always say that if I can just get to one person, I'm not trying to move the masses.
00:06:35If that happens during a process, during this journey, then so be it.
00:06:40But if we could just get through to one person and have one person have a breakthrough, then we made it.
00:06:47And of course, when two or more are gathered together, there's bound to be magic.
00:06:53So welcome in, welcome in tonight, Healing the Hustler.
00:06:57And let's get into the recap of the last show.
00:07:01So the last show we spoke about invisible weight, saying one thing and doing another, living a lie.
00:07:11How many of us out there have lived lies, tried to get along to get along?
00:07:18What do they say?
00:07:19Keeping up with the Joneses, living beyond our means.
00:07:22When you do that, you have some invisible weight.
00:07:25People can't see it, but you feel it.
00:07:29People can't see it, but you feel it.
00:07:32But most importantly, during all of that, the only person that you are deceiving and lying to is yourself.
00:07:39That high-priced life, it has a cost.
00:07:42And for some of you out there, I just have to ask the question, are you willing to pay the cost to be the boss?
00:07:48And of course, I spoke about the Pussycat Dolls.
00:07:54I love them, and especially that song where they say, be careful what you wish for because you just might get it.
00:08:00And there were plenty of times where I wanted things that I probably shouldn't have.
00:08:05Then, you know, when you lust after certain things, when you want things, when greed kicks in, be careful what you ask for because you just might get it.
00:08:20And that's exactly what happens.
00:08:21And then when we get it, if you're anything like me, you become miserable.
00:08:26And you tell yourself, this is what I was seeking after.
00:08:31This is what I was chasing after.
00:08:33Now that I got it, I don't want it, and I'm trying to get rid of it.
00:08:38So be careful what you wish for because you just might get it.
00:08:42And it can come in so many different forms.
00:08:45It can come from people, places, things, the jewelry, the cars, the clothes, the houses.
00:08:51It's good to have nice things, but don't let nice things have you.
00:08:57I'm going to say that again.
00:08:59It's good to have nice things, but don't let nice things have you.
00:09:04So are you in charge of your finances today, or have you become a slave to the lender?
00:09:10That's just a rhetorical question.
00:09:13Replay that in the back of your mind.
00:09:15Are you working for you, or are you working for all of those material things that you accumulated over a period of time?
00:09:26Are you working because you have to in the minute that you don't?
00:09:31Everything that you focused on, on the outer, because I spoke the other night about how man just looks on the outside.
00:09:39You know, we look for the outer appearance.
00:09:42We don't worry about the inside.
00:09:43We don't worry about healing on the inside.
00:09:45I'm not speaking for everybody, but, you know, majority out there, they don't worry about healing on the inside.
00:09:52They focus on the outside.
00:09:54So are you in charge of your finances today, or have you become a slave to the lender?
00:09:59Do you have to focus and get in the grind and make it do what it do?
00:10:04And the minute that you don't, the gig is up.
00:10:08Everybody's going to see.
00:10:10Everybody's going to know.
00:10:10Because things are going to start to change.
00:10:13The outer appearance would change because it's just a lifestyle.
00:10:19But can you keep up with that lifestyle?
00:10:26Let's get on into this song of the day.
00:10:28Poured up by Miss Rihanna, released in 2012 off of her unapologetic album.
00:10:38I love this album.
00:10:39This is one of my favorite Rihanna's albums.
00:10:42And, of course, I'm sure you all have heard that she's pregnant again.
00:10:47So congratulations to Rihanna and ASAP.
00:10:50But I just want to know one question.
00:10:54When's the album coming out?
00:10:56I mean, I've been waiting.
00:10:57I know the true Rihanna fans have been out there waiting for a long time.
00:11:02So when's this album coming out?
00:11:05So we're speaking about Healing the Hustler.
00:11:08And we're going to find out a little more as we go through this.
00:11:11But I want you to just think about the song, Poured Up.
00:11:14You know, in the song, we're speaking about dollar bills and money on my mind.
00:11:20And it's just living that life, which I spoke about.
00:11:23And we're still on this theme, this high-priced life.
00:11:25So this is what it is.
00:11:26And there's a cost to it all.
00:11:28But just be careful.
00:11:31Because be careful what you wish for.
00:11:33Because you just might get it.
00:11:34And what I say is, you can have a little bit of everything that you want in life.
00:11:39You just can't get too crazy over any one thing.
00:11:43So be careful of repeat patterns.
00:11:47Because your repeat patterns, they should be monitored.
00:11:50And you have to get with self.
00:11:52Everything starts with self.
00:11:54So when you start to see that you're going through and you're doing the same thing over and over and over again,
00:11:59repeat patterns become habits.
00:12:01So especially when you're going through an emotional, turbulent period in your life, which life happens.
00:12:08We all go through things.
00:12:09But sometimes we can get into this routine if we're not careful, especially during an emotional period.
00:12:17Whether it's a breakup, whether it's a big transition in your life, whether it's a breakdown, whether it's a shakeup, whether it's a setback.
00:12:25You have to be very careful because that is a very crucial moment in everybody's lives.
00:12:30So you got to be careful about the people that you hang around.
00:12:33You got to be careful with picking up certain habits, whether it be shopping, whether it be drinking, whether it be clubbing, whether it be whatever.
00:12:41Because if you start doing things over and over and over again and it becomes a habit, it becomes a routine.
00:12:48Then sometimes it could be hard to shake because now we have an addiction.
00:12:52These can become crutches.
00:12:54These can become distractions.
00:12:56And usually this happens when there's a setback.
00:13:00We want to go ahead and do something to try to make ourselves feel better.
00:13:03But remember, don't get so caught up on trying to figure out the outside.
00:13:07Focus on the inner and then it'll pour out on the outside rather than doing it in reverse where we focus on the outside.
00:13:14We want to dress up the outside.
00:13:16We want to do the outside.
00:13:18You know, remember we do on us right now.
00:13:20That's what we tell everybody.
00:13:21I'm doing me.
00:13:23You know, like Fantasia.
00:13:24I'm doing me this time around.
00:13:26Be careful with all of that.
00:13:29All of that stuff is distractions.
00:13:31Distractions and distractions are only designed to take you further away from your financial destination.
00:13:38That's all.
00:13:39Whatever it is, whatever goal, whatever dream you have, distractions are going to show up.
00:13:44You got to be very careful.
00:13:45And some of you might say, well, what are distractions?
00:13:49Now, I'm going to give you that definition.
00:13:50My definition of a distraction is investing time and resources into any people, places, or material things that don't contribute into moving the needle in your financial favor.
00:14:04And I'll say that again.
00:14:07Investing time and resources into any people, places, and material things that don't contribute to moving the needle in your financial favor.
00:14:17Be careful.
00:14:21That's all I'm saying.
00:14:21Be careful.
00:14:23Don't be carrying that invisible weight.
00:14:28All right.
00:14:29So, let's get into this.
00:14:30We have a wine that we are going to sample tonight.
00:14:34We have Canyon Road Moscato.
00:14:37This is a California wine.
00:14:39And we are sampling the 2020 version.
00:14:42So, Canyon Road is inspired by the scenic roads that wander through California's stunning wine country.
00:14:52Canyon Road's winemaker, Raphael Joffrey, crafts beautifully structured wine that expresses true, variantal character.
00:15:03Canyon Road Moscato is light.
00:15:06It's a light-bodied and sweet with aromas of orange, blossom, peach, and floral.
00:15:12And this bottle is 8.5% in alcohol content.
00:15:18So, it's not super high up there when it comes to the alcohol content.
00:15:24I know some people get hung up on that.
00:15:26I don't.
00:15:27I just want good quality wine.
00:15:29And I think we are going to capture this here tonight.
00:15:33So, of course, this is a Moscato.
00:15:35So, it is the Moscato grape, California region, your typical California wine.
00:15:43It does have a four-star rating.
00:15:45And the reviews were pretty good on this.
00:15:49And I would say middle down the pack.
00:15:51It's not going to be too light.
00:15:53It's not going to be too bold.
00:15:55Not too dry.
00:15:56Not too sweet.
00:15:57Not too soft.
00:15:59And not overly acidic.
00:16:00You will get hints of peach, pear, green apple, honey, citrus, orange, and lemon.
00:16:10And this wine pairs well with shellfish, vegetarian dishes, poultry, pasta, rich fish.
00:16:18When we speak about rich fish, we're speaking about the hearty ones, salmon and tuna.
00:16:23You know, so, you get like, just think about Moscato with salmon and tuna.
00:16:30You know, salmon and tuna is going to be a little fishier, a little richer.
00:16:35So, then you have something sweeter, like Moscato.
00:16:40It's making my mouth water already.
00:16:42Moscato will like balance that out.
00:16:44So, I like that.
00:16:45And then any other lean fish.
00:16:47But, really, I see a nice, thick piece of salmon that will go well with Moscato.
00:16:56Anybody out there feeling me, let me know.
00:16:58Drop it in the comments, let me know.
00:16:59But that sounds so good right about now.
00:17:02So, here's one of the reviews.
00:17:05Nose is deceiving.
00:17:07Sharp, almost sour apple notes.
00:17:10Unripe grapes.
00:17:12Surprisingly sweet on the palate, but not too heavy.
00:17:15Balance well with acidity.
00:17:18Oh, I didn't even take a sip yet.
00:17:20Let me rewind that.
00:17:21Balance well with the acidity.
00:17:24Beautifully.
00:17:25High acid on the finish, but not unpleasant.
00:17:29Definitely impressed.
00:17:30So, this wine bottle is going to be anywhere between $10 and $11.
00:17:34And I was able to get mine for $8.
00:17:40So, saved a couple bucks there.
00:17:42Remember, we're on this financial journey.
00:17:45So, I'm not saying that we can't do and have nice things.
00:17:49But, remember, don't let nice things have you.
00:17:51So, you got to be careful with some of the things that we indulge in.
00:17:55And I'm not saying to go the cheap route.
00:17:58But be very careful with some of the things.
00:18:00And I'm bringing you quality wines at decent prices.
00:18:04So, for people can, you know, enjoy and splurge.
00:18:08Do a little bit for you without breaking a bank and feeling like you created some sort of financial crisis.
00:18:13So, and then when it comes time for those expensive wines, when you want to go and get that bottle and, you know, treat yourself for any special occasion, anniversaries, things like that, you can do so because you have done it responsibly over a period of time.
00:18:31That's what we're speaking about here tonight.
00:18:32So, cheers.
00:18:34I'm going to go ahead and bring in my friend, author, Birdman313 while I go ahead and sample this.
00:18:40And I'll give you my take on this wine.
00:18:49Hmm.
00:18:50I agree.
00:18:51It definitely is not overly sweet.
00:18:57Right down the middle.
00:18:59Yeah, this is it.
00:19:00What's going on?
00:19:01How are you?
00:19:02Hey, how's it going?
00:19:06I am doing good.
00:19:08How are you?
00:19:08Man, just trying to stay cool here, man.
00:19:10It's like in the 90s here.
00:19:13I don't even want to talk to you.
00:19:15You know what?
00:19:16The show is over.
00:19:17Good night, everybody.
00:19:19Thank you so much for joining Reading Between the Wines.
00:19:22I will see you all next week.
00:19:25Yeah.
00:19:26Now, I'm going to let you know what we're dealing with here in good old New Jersey.
00:19:31I'm snuggled up right now as I'm sampling this wine.
00:19:36And I almost went to red because this time of year, I do white and blush wines to get ready for this hot, good weather, which what you're dealing with down there.
00:19:44But right now, I don't know what the temperature is, but it's rainy, it's cold, it's dreary.
00:19:51This is the second week in a row that I've had to deal with this nonsense.
00:19:54I've been seeing that on the news.
00:19:56You know, I mean, like we've been getting, we've been in the 90s.
00:20:00My sons, they stay in San Antonio, and it's been 100 degrees for the last couple of days there.
00:20:10I was speaking to my family yesterday, and I said, I don't know who would want to retire in New Jersey, but I don't.
00:20:18And as soon as I can get out of here, I'm out of here.
00:20:21I heard that.
00:20:22That's good, though, 100 degrees, and this is Texas, right?
00:20:27Yes, it is.
00:20:28But what you got to remember is the humidity.
00:20:32That's what makes it so uncomfortable.
00:20:36No, I take it all.
00:20:38I embrace it all.
00:20:38I don't care.
00:20:39Humidity, hot, dry heat, heat, heat, heat on top of heat.
00:20:45All people say, I can't deal with the humidity.
00:20:48Oh, but that's different because it's dry heat.
00:20:50Ladies and gentlemen, I'm going to let you know right now the type of person that I am.
00:20:54Humidity, heat, hot, heat, heat, heat on top of hot, humidity on top of hot.
00:21:02I want it all.
00:21:03I want to embrace it all, and I want it 365 days out of the year.
00:21:07Wow.
00:21:15I'm going to the desert.
00:21:17Oh, yeah.
00:21:18Oh, you will get it there.
00:21:19But then at nighttime, it gets cold.
00:21:23That's all right, though.
00:21:24That's all right, because, you know, like they say, the sun always going to rise again, right?
00:21:30So the next day, we right back on it.
00:21:32So we're here, Wind Down Wednesday, winding down.
00:21:40So I got a question for you tonight.
00:21:43Are we going to be able to heal the hustler?
00:21:45That depends on if that hustler wants to be healed.
00:21:54I know that's right, because, you know, you can't help people who don't want to help themselves, right?
00:21:58Because, you know, once a person starts doing things in a certain way for a long period of time, it's hard for them, especially if they're hustling, it's hard for them to stop hustling and just start doing what we call the right way.
00:22:19But personally, we all hustle.
00:22:24That's how I feel.
00:22:25You know, like I have poetry books.
00:22:28That's my hustle there.
00:22:30You know, but I'm not doing it.
00:22:33My hustle is not to hurt anybody.
00:22:36So it's a difference between you can hustle and hurt people or hustle to help people.
00:22:48That makes sense.
00:22:49That's a good sense.
00:22:50Just like there's good and there's evil.
00:22:51You can put out good causes and you could put out evil causes.
00:22:55But one thing that we know, you will reap what you sow.
00:22:58So even though people who are out there who are and I spoke about this with someone earlier today, people out there who are putting evil causes out there, the return may not come immediately, but it definitely will.
00:23:12And evildoers never prosper.
00:23:14So that's a good one.
00:23:18That's a good one.
00:23:20All right.
00:23:21Well, we I got this book here, The Secret.
00:23:25And the first time that I heard about this book, it was on Steve Harvey.
00:23:31I always listen to his radio show.
00:23:33He inspired me so much.
00:23:34And, you know, that's why I'm doing what I'm doing here today.
00:23:37Shout out to Mr. Steve Harvey.
00:23:40And he was speaking about this book called The Secret.
00:23:43So I picked it up when I saw it.
00:23:45And we're also going to be speaking about books that changed our lives.
00:23:50So give me a number anywhere between, let's say here, what we got here tonight.
00:23:58We are going to go with number, let's say, one through.
00:24:07Let's see, what we got here.
00:24:12185.
00:24:1355.
00:24:1555.
00:24:16Why 55?
00:24:17I know we spoke about numbers before.
00:24:20Tell me about 55.
00:24:2155 is the year I was born.
00:24:24So, yeah.
00:24:25Well, ladies and gentlemen, I just want to say that it's so mystical in here tonight.
00:24:35And you never know what you're going to get when you come into the 4-on-1 podcast arena
00:24:39between the wines.
00:24:40And tonight we are speaking about healing the hustler.
00:24:44And I'm going to speak.
00:24:46I didn't get there yet.
00:24:47But I see this, how mystical this is showing up.
00:24:52And right now I'm going to speak about action.
00:24:55And there are no coincidences in life.
00:24:57And I spoke about action.
00:24:58I just didn't get to it yet because it's already pre-written.
00:25:01So this is bigger than me.
00:25:02And I had nothing to do with this.
00:25:04But Birdman, we didn't, you know, rehearse this.
00:25:08This is live.
00:25:09And he picked 55.
00:25:12And what do you know?
00:25:1355 is speaking about action.
00:25:14So this lets me know that this thing is bigger than me.
00:25:18And God is all over this.
00:25:20So 55 says, action will sometimes be required.
00:25:26But if you're really doing it in line with what the universe is, it's going to feel joyous.
00:25:32You're going to feel so alive, time will just stop.
00:25:36And you can do it all day.
00:25:38Action is a word that can imply work to some people.
00:25:43But inspired action will not feel like work at all.
00:25:47The difference between inspired action and action is this.
00:25:51Inspired action is when you are acting to receive.
00:25:55If you are in action to try to make it happen, you have slipped backwards.
00:26:01Inspired action is effortless.
00:26:04And it feels wonderful because you're on the frequency of receiving.
00:26:08Imagine life as if it is a fast-moving river.
00:26:14When you're acting to make something happen, it feels as if you're going against the current of the river.
00:26:19It will feel hard and it will feel like a struggle.
00:26:22When you are acting to receive from the universe, you will feel as if you are flowing with the current of the river.
00:26:29It will feel effortless.
00:26:30This is what the feeling of inspired action or being in the flow of the universe and life.
00:26:38Sometimes you will not even be aware that you use action until after you've received because the act or the acting felt so good.
00:26:52You will then look back and see that the wonder and the matrix of how the universe carried you to whatever you wanted.
00:27:00And also brought whatever you wanted to you.
00:27:06Interesting.
00:27:09What do you feel about that?
00:27:12That's very, like you said, that's interesting.
00:27:15You know, it's just like I said, it was a number I picked and it seemed like that was a blessed number.
00:27:24Because last week, last week I chose my birthday.
00:27:27And, you know, and this year, the day I chose the year.
00:27:33So, I guess, hey, I can see now that I was born on a good day and a good time.
00:27:39I know that's right.
00:27:42So, let's figure out how this action is going to play in part because we're getting ready to go to Brooklyn.
00:27:48So, oh, and by the way, I will tell you that this is some good wine.
00:27:53Um, I have been sampling it generously.
00:28:00So, uh, we'll see how this flows, but this is some pretty good wine.
00:28:05So, sampling the Canyon Road wine.
00:28:07Just read a piece from The Secret.
00:28:10Got it all set up when it comes to the word action and inspired action.
00:28:14So, we're on this action level and we're going to go on over to Brooklyn, New York and see what type of action Miss Crystal is making towards her cause.
00:28:28Crystal is a bartender and check this out.
00:28:32She's an author of unpublished poetry.
00:28:35Now, before we even get into it, unpublished.
00:28:41Birdman, does that sound like she's taking action or no action?
00:28:46No action.
00:28:48Hmm.
00:28:49Now, you see how this is just lining up and you picked 55 and it landed on that page?
00:28:55Yeah.
00:28:56All right.
00:28:57So, let's see what Miss Crystal has going on here tonight.
00:29:01Crystal pours drinks to numb her own emotional pain.
00:29:06She's divorced.
00:29:08She has debt and a dream which is deferred.
00:29:12She reads healing books like The Secret, which I just read.
00:29:16And As a Man Thinketh, I also read that one as well, but feels stuck between what she reads and what she feels.
00:29:26Her debt feels like chains and she needs an emotional release.
00:29:31I'll go ahead and take us through that again.
00:29:33Crystal pours drinks to numb her own emotional pain.
00:29:38She's divorced.
00:29:39She's in debt and her dreams have been deferred.
00:29:42She reads healing books like The Secret and As a Man Thinketh, but she feels stuck between what she reads and what she feels.
00:29:52Her debt feels like chains and she needs an emotional release.
00:29:59So, what help do you have for Miss Crystal?
00:30:05What words of inspiration, encouragement do you have for Miss Crystal?
00:30:12What do you think her problem?
00:30:13Is she pouring drinks for herself?
00:30:15Yeah, she's a bartender.
00:30:19Okay, so I don't know how this works.
00:30:22I would assume that it's probably after work, after the bar closes, because I don't believe that you can get, you can have drinks before.
00:30:30But I could be wrong.
00:30:31Anybody who is in this field, let me know.
00:30:33But I would think she's probably pouring drinks.
00:30:37Actually, you know, I would say she could be pouring them before she goes to work to get started.
00:30:42Maybe she's sneaking throughout the shift.
00:30:45Maybe she's doing it afterwards.
00:30:47But she's definitely indulging in alcoholic beverages on a regular basis.
00:30:51Well, first of all, you know, what's holding her back is the drinking.
00:30:58That's how I read, you know, because you have sent that to me.
00:31:01And I looked it over a few times.
00:31:05And I'm like, okay, the key word you said, defer, everything else.
00:31:10And I was looking at that and I'm like, okay, she's pouring drinks.
00:31:17She's trying to numb the things that she's been hurt by.
00:31:21But what she don't realize is when she, when her, when that drunkenness or whatever that feeling that makes her is over with, she still had that same problem there.
00:31:33She's still in debt.
00:31:35She's still divorced.
00:31:36So, I mean, drinking is not helping her at all.
00:31:42And first of all, and then she's working as a bartender.
00:31:46And that really doesn't help at all because I was a, I was a drug and alcohol counselor at one time.
00:31:54And we always, you know, our thing was, if you want to make changes, you got to change people, places, and things.
00:32:01And that was, that was, that's the motto.
00:32:05And that's, you know, you learn that as no matter if you're an alcohol or drug counselor, it's people, places, and things you have to change.
00:32:13Um, so she would have to get out the bartending business and find something else to do that so that she don't have alcohol on her mind.
00:32:25Because the temptation is there just by her being a bartender and she's pouring drinks for, for people.
00:32:32So, that temptation is there.
00:32:35I mean, because, um, at the, they have a, they have a rodeo down here and they also have a cookout.
00:32:41And, hey, man, I, you know, I used to bartend, I bartend like, uh, three or four times.
00:32:47Hey, man, I used to slip me a drink all the time, but I wasn't the only one.
00:32:51All the ones who did bartending, that's what they did.
00:32:54They slip a drink or two.
00:32:56Okay, so she probably definitely is getting lit throughout the night.
00:33:03Definitely.
00:33:05Mm-hmm.
00:33:06Okay.
00:33:08I, I totally agree.
00:33:10I'm going to go through this line by line.
00:33:12So, pouring the drinks to numb her emotional pain, just like you said, you're just covering things up.
00:33:17Covering it up.
00:33:18And then the next day, you probably feel 10 times worse.
00:33:22So, um, I agree with that.
00:33:24The divorce is still there.
00:33:25So, now you have to ask your question, why?
00:33:27What role did I play in this divorce?
00:33:30Um, you know, it happened.
00:33:34So, now what are we going to do to get past this?
00:33:36But moving past it is realizing the part that you play.
00:33:40See, a lot of times in these relationships, when things go south, friendships, whatever the case may be, when there's a breakup, when there's a shakeup, we are so quick to point the finger and blame the other person saying that they did something to us.
00:33:53Um, but I truly believe that people can't do anything to you unless you allow them to, so the signs are probably there.
00:34:02Um, my mentor always tells me, Laren, you're going to know a person within the first three months.
00:34:07And the problem is, is that if you didn't catch on the first three months, that's probably because you were focused on something else.
00:34:12And in this day and age, let's just keep it real.
00:34:16Um, social media, you can see everything you need to see before you even meet the person.
00:34:20So, maybe, and I don't know what the situation is, that they were focusing on things and she didn't see the red flags coming and she didn't realize what her role was in this.
00:34:34You allowed this to happen.
00:34:36You allowed this person to play game, do whatever they did.
00:34:38And unfortunately, there's a divorce.
00:34:40I don't see any kids in this, so I would hope that there's no kids in this situation, but with divorce sometimes comes debt.
00:34:50And I agree, change of scenery, get out of the bartending business, get out of the nightlife.
00:34:58And I would say the first step of action would be, is to clean up some of this debt because that's where a lot of depression comes from.
00:35:06And people don't even realize it, the lifestyles that they create, the things that they put on themselves, the extra responsibilities that they put on themselves to try to get along with everybody else and stay in the game and stay in the game.
00:35:20And maybe some of her feeling of depression and self-issues would be, I'm not saying completely eliminated, but maybe chopped in half or a little more if the debt wasn't there.
00:35:34Because, hell, I know I feel better when my bills are paid.
00:35:36How about you?
00:35:38Definitely.
00:35:39You know, when my bills are, I see number zeros, I'm happy.
00:35:45But when I see a few numbers behind it, then, you know, I kind of like, okay, what I need to do?
00:35:52I need to change something.
00:35:55And that's what I've learned over the years is try to work on that.
00:36:00And I try not to, I try not to overspend.
00:36:06And that's easily done.
00:36:09That is easily done.
00:36:10So I kind of, I kind of be like, all right, then I'm like, okay, it's time to slow down.
00:36:18It's time to back off and just lay low.
00:36:23Everybody can't do that though.
00:36:27Yeah.
00:36:28I mean, I had a couple of people tell me this past week, at least two or three people tell me that they know that they probably will not be able to stop using credit cards and overspending.
00:36:38Yes.
00:36:38Outright, outright told me that that's, that's, that's what, what the game is.
00:36:43So, hey, to each its own.
00:36:45But I know that that's not going to work for me like that.
00:36:48Yeah.
00:36:51Not, not overspend.
00:36:54Now, this here, she reads books.
00:36:58I know I read from The Secret and we went right to the page of action.
00:37:01And when we know that she's an unpublished author, she's not taking action.
00:37:08There's no action.
00:37:09So, there's a couple of things she needs to take action with.
00:37:11Like you said, get out of that business.
00:37:13So, you're going to have to get up and take responsibility for yourself.
00:37:16And that's the name of the game tonight.
00:37:20And that's why I said this is so mystical because when it went right to this page, I kind of knew where we were going.
00:37:25And I didn't know that it would get on that page of action.
00:37:28But that is exactly what she needs to do.
00:37:31The name of the game for her is she needs to take action.
00:37:33And you know what, what else, you know, just because she read books, the main thing is, do she understand what she read?
00:37:42Because you can read books all day long and you don't understand.
00:37:48That's how I was in high school.
00:37:50I read a book, didn't understand what I was reading and just, you know, move on.
00:37:55I didn't realize until I got, I got in college and I went to, well, because my parents, they wouldn't sign the papers for me to go nowhere else.
00:38:09I ended up going to a Methodist private college and I would go and I would read stuff.
00:38:17And one of my, it was one of my, you know, professors, they said, do you understand what you read?
00:38:23And I kind of, he said, no, he said, you don't even have to answer that.
00:38:29I already know you don't.
00:38:32And he said, but this is what we going to do.
00:38:34He said, cause I'm going to work with you.
00:38:35He said, you're cool.
00:38:37And he said, I like you.
00:38:38He said, I want you to go ahead and get your degree.
00:38:41And so he, he, he worked with me on reading and understanding, you know, what I'm reading.
00:38:50So, you know, that, that's one of the things just because you read that don't mean you understand, just like a lot of people, just because they listen to music, that don't mean they understand music.
00:39:05That's a good point.
00:39:06I know that for me, like I've been reading the same book for like almost two months now.
00:39:10And that's kind of long cause I had a lot of other factors going in there, but for me to read a book for a month, some people get through a book in a week, but I'll stay on it for a couple of weeks to a month.
00:39:22And I just keep going back to make sure that I understood exactly what I read.
00:39:28So let me go back.
00:39:29Even though I finished chapter, I'm going to go back and reread that chapter again to make sure that I get it before I move to the next one.
00:39:37I write things down.
00:39:39I really get into the book and I get into it so much to where I'm like, all right, I'm really need to get out of this book.
00:39:45Like I've been on one for about a month, almost going on to two months.
00:39:51And I'm at that point where like, all right, we're done with this book, but at least I got it though.
00:39:56So I don't know what you mean with that.
00:39:58Yeah, because I've been reading the book, got it a couple of years ago and I started reading it just little by little.
00:40:04It's by one of the famous poets, Lawrence Ferlinghetti.
00:40:08And it's really a good book.
00:40:12And it's like, I think like four or 500 pages long.
00:40:15So I'm like, I'm not in no hurry because I don't have to tell it, tell what I know from anybody.
00:40:21So I may read like maybe 10 pages, you know, and then I put it down.
00:40:28I start doing my other things, what I do.
00:40:30And I keep going back and it was either today or yesterday she said, oh, you're halfway through that book.
00:40:38And I didn't realize that I had, I'm almost, almost through.
00:40:43And sometimes I just put my earplugs on, listen to my music and then I'll just get to reading.
00:40:50But the problem with his books is he's speaking in, it's English.
00:40:56And then he translated into, well, he traveled the country.
00:41:02So whatever country he went to, he spoke in that language.
00:41:05So that's the part that's getting to me because I don't, I don't know what language it is.
00:41:10I don't understand it.
00:41:12So I.
00:41:13Oh, it's written in that language.
00:41:17And it's not converted to.
00:41:19No, it's not.
00:41:21It's not.
00:41:22So I have to, you know, I'll skip some pages to get to the English part.
00:41:28So I'm like, let me back off because this is confusing me now because I feel like I'm missing something because I don't know what he's really saying through it.
00:41:39But that's just how his book is.
00:41:45Well, you better than me because first of all, I couldn't even understand when people were speaking Spanish to me when I was learning it.
00:41:53And I got an F in school.
00:41:56I sure did.
00:41:57And I still, to this day, if I know him better, because my mom, when I brought that F home, she said, now how the F did you get an F in Spanish?
00:42:08Now y'all know what she's, you know, the word she said, but how the F did you get F in Spanish?
00:42:16And as I replayed his story to this day, I would have probably been slapped down a thousand times, but I almost wanted to say, well, can you speak?
00:42:26Yeah.
00:42:28But you know what would have happened.
00:42:30But, um, so I, I got, I went to German after that and I got an A and I believe that the only reason why I got an A is because my teacher liked me because after I got out of there, I don't know nothing about speaking German or Spanish or Italian or French.
00:42:48I went to France and that was a complete disaster when I tried to purchase a bottle of water.
00:42:56Yeah.
00:42:57So, uh, good luck with that book.
00:42:59Cause, uh, only thing I have to say for me is absolutely not.
00:43:05Yeah.
00:43:05I'm enjoying it because, you know, he talks about all these different poets.
00:43:11I've never heard of over in these different countries and that's the good part about it, you know, and so I'm taking this slow, enjoying it.
00:43:23And like I said, I, I went, when I just, when I said, well, I don't have no video or no poems to, you know, to work on or do anything with, I put my earplugs in and I'll start reading.
00:43:35But see, I'm the type that would, uh, read that one in switch up, you know, and, and, and 20 minutes later, grab a book of somebody else and start reading.
00:43:46I've done that before.
00:43:48I'm looking at my book collection as you're speaking.
00:43:50And my, my daughter told me that I probably shouldn't have as many books as I have.
00:43:55And I, um, she says that when you have a lot of books and you read multiple books, like what you just said, you, you, you, you can.
00:44:05And discourage yourself to where you feel that you'll never get finished.
00:44:09I don't feel that way.
00:44:10Cause I don't have, you know, I'm retired.
00:44:13So I don't have nothing to do, but sit around and make videos and write and read and listen to music.
00:44:21And that's it.
00:44:22So it's all, you know, that's, that's how I look at it.
00:44:25I understand what she's saying about you.
00:44:26Cause I'm quite sure you still working.
00:44:29So, you know, you have to do that.
00:44:31Um, um, yeah, I, I, I got, um, multiple things going on.
00:44:38Yeah.
00:44:39Um, but interesting.
00:44:43Now you said earplugs, you put earplugs in.
00:44:46What do you, what do you listen to regular music?
00:44:49Or is it just like, no, I have, I have, um, I have a, what is that?
00:44:53MP3.
00:44:54And I have, I took my music off my computer and I put it on there and I just turn it on
00:45:01and let it play.
00:45:04So you're, you're listening to that while you're reading the book, but what, like people singing
00:45:11songs or is it just like instrumentals?
00:45:14Oh, wow.
00:45:15I don't know how you concentrate with people singing and talking words and you reading other
00:45:19things.
00:45:20You know what, man, I told, like I tell people, my dad, he was a musician and that's one thing
00:45:27he taught me was he said, I'm going to teach you something that you, you know, nobody else
00:45:33will teach you.
00:45:33And he taught me no matter, he said, cause back then he was just, it was just all words.
00:45:39And he said, be able to watch TV, listen to music.
00:45:46And I did that and I did that all through college.
00:45:49I mean, I, you know, people, people always ask, they will come to my room and they was
00:45:54like, how is you doing that?
00:45:57I said, simple, man.
00:45:58I'm listening to the words.
00:45:59I'm watching TV.
00:46:00Hey.
00:46:04You know what that would be for me?
00:46:06Yeah.
00:46:09A true definition of brain overload.
00:46:13I had a supervisor one time and he came, they came to my room to give us our money, you know,
00:46:20cause we was out of town and he, he looked at me and he said, dude, how is you watching
00:46:26to have TV on, got your computer on with music on?
00:46:31I said, this is something that I've been doing all my life.
00:46:34And then when you had a, Hey, if you had a mother, like I had, that was the way I drowned
00:46:41her out.
00:46:45Oh, well, let's, would you, well, what happens when you didn't answer what she have to say?
00:46:51You don't get something that's towards me.
00:46:54She had that frown on the face.
00:46:55I take the headphones off.
00:46:56Yeah.
00:46:57Yes.
00:46:57Okay.
00:46:59I knew, I knew, I knew then she was talking to me and yes.
00:47:08Shout out to the mothers.
00:47:12We just had a mother's day this past weekend.
00:47:15So yes, I know you had some good memories this past weekend.
00:47:19Did you enjoy your weekend?
00:47:21Yes, I did.
00:47:21Yes, I did.
00:47:22You know, yeah, I did my sister, you know, like I said, her and I is not the, we're not
00:47:27as close as we used to be.
00:47:29And I sent her a picture and she asked me if I had more pictures.
00:47:34And she finally, finally coming, like she want pictures of mom and dad.
00:47:40So I sent her a bunch of them and she sent me message back saying, thank you.
00:47:45I'm like, yeah.
00:47:46I said, if I find any more, I'll send them to you.
00:47:49That's good.
00:47:50That's good.
00:47:51Um, so I think we helped Ms. Crystal.
00:47:57I think we had gave her some, uh, good information.
00:48:02Remember anything that you hear tonight on a show, you're watching a replay.

00:48:22Um, we are not here to be the savior.
00:48:26There's only one savior.
00:48:27And last time I checked, are you him?
00:48:30I don't know.
00:48:33Right, right, right, right, right.
00:48:36So, um, all right.
00:48:39So before we move on, so how are you feeling, uh, about the mentorship series, the new version
00:48:48of the podcast?
00:48:48I know, um, we talk a lot about money, so that makes people nervous sometimes.
00:48:54But besides that, how do you feel about everything?
00:48:58I feel comfortable about it.
00:49:00Give me a chance to speak up.
00:49:01Um, I'm hoping to have, um, matter of fact, next week, Wednesday, just before your program,
00:49:09I'm hoping to have a, um, it's called an author's interview.
00:49:13Mm-hmm.
00:49:14And, um, it was people that on Instagram that contacted me.
00:49:20Oh, that's good.
00:49:22So, yeah, it's a, it's a 30 minute interview.
00:49:24And so, like, you know, it's helping me because now I can express myself a little bit better.
00:49:32I'm always going to leave out something because that's just, that's just human nature.
00:49:38Mm-hmm.
00:49:38But so far, yeah, you know, it's helping, it's helping me to really, um, be able to talk.
00:49:44Yeah.
00:49:44Not, you know, not be ashamed like I used to be.
00:49:48Uh-huh.
00:49:49You know, and I, I just feel, I just feel it's helpful because, and then plus, you know,
00:49:56it's getting me ready for any open mics or book festivals I may be going to in the future.
00:50:02Mm-hmm.
00:50:02You're getting those reps in.
00:50:04It's all about repetition.
00:50:05Yeah.
00:50:06So, that's good.
00:50:07That's good.
00:50:08Yeah.
00:50:09Well, ladies and gentlemen, we are here to stay.
00:50:13So, um, if you'd like to chime in or join in on anything tonight, we're getting ready
00:50:20to get into our next segment, which is burning questions.
00:50:23Please feel free to text me at 609-210-98.
00:50:27Again, that number is 609-210-98.
00:50:32That is the official 411 podcast reading between the wines hotline.
00:50:38609-210-910-910-910-98.
00:50:40You can also DM me on any of my social media platforms, Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, and
00:50:48email me at info at laringaines.com.
00:50:51If you'd like us to take a crack at one of your burning questions.
00:50:56Hey, can I say something right quick?
00:50:59Sure.
00:51:00I just got a message from one of my sons.
00:51:02He said that he's on listening.
00:51:04I would just like to say thank you because, uh, he, you know, him and I, we talk a lot
00:51:09and, you know, it's, I, I, I miss being around him and, and his younger brother, but I'm just
00:51:16glad that he showed up and I don't know if the other one got on cause I know he's, he's
00:51:20in Austin right now working.
00:51:23And I know they're having session at, uh, at, at, um, capital.
00:51:28So I don't know if that's what he's doing because he's been there for a couple of days.
00:51:32So if he is, I'd like to say, Hey, thank you for supporting me.
00:51:38That's good.
00:51:38That's what's up.
00:51:39Um, always love family support, especially when it comes from your generation.
00:51:44And, uh, we're going to have a, a topic one night where we speak about how we see it,
00:51:50our younger version and our children.
00:51:56When you see your younger version and your children, sometimes all you can do is just
00:52:02shake your head.
00:52:02Cause when I'm around my, uh, daughters, I see bits and pieces of myself from when I was
00:52:09younger and I'm like, well, you know what?
00:52:11I used to do that.
00:52:12So, yeah, we definitely have to do that one day.
00:52:19Um, burning question for tonight.
00:52:24And we've been on speaking about books and of course we speak about books and wine.
00:52:28So, but this one, I want to take it to another, just some, another notch compared to last week.
00:52:34So this one is which book helped you read between the lines of your own life and inspired
00:52:40a real change.
00:52:42Again, that's which book helped you read between the lines of your own life and inspired a real
00:52:49change.
00:52:50Wow.
00:52:53I know last week I gave you a few books, but I know, um, one of them is anything that Sigmund
00:53:03Freud or anything that they write about him for whatever reason, every time I read something
00:53:11about him, article about him or anything, it makes me really think.
00:53:17And then I try to put that, you know, that into my, um, lifestyle.
00:53:24So I can say in any books or articles that I read about Sigmund Freud.
00:53:30Now, I don't know much.
00:53:33I can see it spelled out.
00:53:35I've come across it.
00:53:37I've read it, but give me just like a quick brief overview of Sigmund Freud.
00:53:43Like he was, he was, um, he was a, um, he was a psychologist and some people say he was,
00:53:52he was, he was, he was out there and, and, you know, I can't, I don't even remember what
00:53:59year he was born in, but he, you know, he's, he's, you know, it was years ago and he deals
00:54:07with the mind and he talks, he talks about the mind a whole lot.
00:54:15So like I said, I said, I like that kind of stuff.
00:54:19Yes.
00:54:20So like I said, I meant, I learned about him in high school, a little bit about him in
00:54:26high school.
00:54:26Then when I got in college, I learned even more about him.
00:54:31And, you know, every once in a while I'll, I'll go on the internet and I'll pull up, find
00:54:35an article about him and read it and see what they says.
00:54:39And, and I, I, I even used it on my job when I had counseling jobs, I would, you know, read,
00:54:47read about him a lot.
00:54:50So that, that was one of the things that I did and that's why I like him so much.
00:54:55I'm like intrigued that you were a counselor.
00:54:57That's so interesting.
00:54:59I didn't know that about you.
00:55:01Yes.
00:55:02Yes.
00:55:03Amongst other things.
00:55:05That's good.
00:55:07That's good.
00:55:09Yes.
00:55:10I'm going to take it back to 2020 and I hope I don't want to get the name wrong because
00:55:16I don't have the book anymore, but I, I, I gave it, I donated to somebody when I usually
00:55:22am done with my books, I'll donate them to somebody, but I don't, I don't know if I get
00:55:28the title right, but Ricky Miner, he did some stuff with American Idol, but he had a book
00:55:38and this was another Steve Harvey gem because he spoke about it.
00:55:42And I, and that's when I picked up the book, something about the extra mile.
00:55:46So there's no traffic on the extra mile.
00:55:49No, if you've ever heard of that before, but I read that book in 2020 and it had the behind
00:55:57the scenes about the music industry, American Idol, you know, it's life story, the ups and
00:56:04down the peaks and the valleys.
00:56:05And, um, it just sparked me to want to read more.
00:56:12So from 2020 until now, I have transformed my life completely did a one 80.
00:56:21I went from knowing nothing about finances to now.
00:56:27I'm not going to say I'm a finance guru, but when you come from where I come from and the
00:56:33information that I know today, um, I'm completely, when it comes to the stuff that I used to
00:56:42know, I consider myself a guru to myself, not to anybody else.
00:56:46If that makes sense compared to what the information that I knew before.
00:56:51So that book sort of opened a door a little bit.
00:56:54Cause it, I'm, you know, of course I love music.
00:56:57So that's what drew me in.
00:56:58Um, and then there's books like I have one from DJ Khaled, the keys.
00:57:03Like I love when people from the music industry or artists, they write books and it's like
00:57:12self-help motivational books because I get pulled in from the music aspect of it.
00:57:17And then it twists my mind in a different direction when it comes to, you know, self-help
00:57:24and motivation and inspiration.
00:57:26So I would say that book because 2020 before, prior to 2020, I was, I wasn't reading anything.
00:57:33So I would say that definitely helped me read between the lines of my own life and inspire
00:57:40real change because after that, I started to pick up books and more books and more books
00:57:45and I built my library.
00:57:46And, um, yeah, I'm here now today, you know, you brought up music and it's funny.
00:57:56You brought that up because there, there was a time when like yourself, I want to be in music.
00:58:04And when I went out in LA to play ball, my cousin, I would have, we had a cousin that lived out
00:58:15there and majority of the Motown musicians knew him and they will come by and what the things
00:58:26they told me, it didn't come from no book.
00:58:29It came from them, you know, and that was, that was, it was very enlightening.
00:58:35And I mean, to this day, I, I can remember what, what they told me.
00:58:43And I kind of like, sometimes I said, I'm so glad I didn't get in the music industry because
00:58:50there's a lot of things people really don't know about these record labels.
00:58:59Oh yeah.
00:59:01You know, so therefore, but then I, it made me, it made me appreciate music even more.
00:59:11But I also said, I'm glad I didn't get into it, which my dad, he saw, you're going to find
00:59:17out.
00:59:18That's all he said to me.
00:59:20And then junior Walker came along and he talked, he talked to me, told me a few things.
00:59:27He said, but you need to learn on your own.
00:59:31So I kind of say the same thing.
00:59:35Like I wanted to be in it so bad, but now I'm thinking to myself, my mindset that I know
00:59:41today right here versus back then, if I was in it back then, it would have been not good.
00:59:48Yes.
00:59:49My mindset, attitude, everything.
00:59:53It would have, I don't, please, crashed and burned real quick.
00:59:57Yes.
00:59:58Yes.
00:59:58I mean, and you know what?
01:00:01I sit here and I say the same thing all the time.
01:00:07I mean, right now I'm learning how to play the bass guitar now.
01:00:10You know, so I'm doing music and I'm working with this lady out of Austin, putting, you
01:00:15know, bass tunes to, you know, song, me and her together.
01:00:17We're going to do something Sunday and I'm enjoying that.
01:00:21And, you know, like my better half, she said, well, she said, everything you wanted to do,
01:00:27you're actually doing it now.
01:00:28Like you're playing music, you're writing poetry.
01:00:33I had a friend from my hometown, me and her, I've been knowing her ever since the kindergarten.
01:00:38And she said, if you had just wrote, you know, started writing songs the way you did, if you
01:00:46had to put the time in the music, the way you did your poetry, she said, you could have
01:00:51some awesome song, you know, songs.
01:00:54And I thought about that and I'm like, yeah, you know, I said, but most of my songs got
01:00:59rejected.
01:01:01So therefore, when I, when I hear that it got rejected, it was for a reason.
01:01:06Absolutely.
01:01:09You know, everything that happens happens for good because if it got, if it didn't get
01:01:16rejected, then you would have been in that direction.
01:01:19And based off of, you know, just like myself, the lives that we lived in the past, how do
01:01:24we know that that wouldn't have been a disaster?
01:01:26How do we know that we would even still be here today?
01:01:30And how do you know that you would even be writing poetry?
01:01:34Right.
01:01:34And see, now I get, I get a chance to go and, and, you know, I'm like, yeah, I don't
01:01:40do concerts.
01:01:40I never wanted to be a musician to perform anywhere.
01:01:45I just wanted to be in the background.
01:01:47I wanted to write music.
01:01:48I wanted to produce music.
01:01:50That was my thing.
01:01:51And she said, well, you're doing, you're doing poetry.
01:01:54You get a chance to go and do live poetry at places.
01:01:57You get a chance to do it on Zoom now.
01:01:59So, really, you are fulfilling your dreams.
01:02:04Yeah.
01:02:04Yeah.
01:02:05My, my thing always wanted to go on tour.
01:02:08That was my big old thing.
01:02:10I'm going on tour.
01:02:11Not me.
01:02:12No.
01:02:13Like I said, when, when, you know, certain people from Motown talked to me and told me
01:02:18the things that they told me, I was like, wow.
01:02:22Actually, I had talked to, he, he, this person here was one of the writers for Richard Prye.
01:02:29He was a comedy writer.
01:02:30His name, David.
01:02:32And so I'm going to, I'm going to use just that name there.
01:02:35And him and I were talking.
01:02:37And so then he said, so I, your cousin told me you got released by the Lakers.
01:02:42And I'm like, yeah.
01:02:43So he said, what you going to do now?
01:02:44I said, oh, I'm going to sit back and write.
01:02:45And he said, what are you going to write?
01:02:47I said, I'll probably write some songs.
01:02:49And he said, before you get really deep off into it, you and I need to have a conversation.
01:02:58Just like that.
01:02:59You know, but we never hooked back up because my parents was moving from Michigan down here to Houston.
01:03:07And I went back to Michigan to help them pack.
01:03:10My cousin said, you need to go help them pack up.
01:03:13So you can always come back out here and you and David can hook back up.
01:03:17And he, because even one of the songwriters for Ray Charles stayed across the street from my cousin.
01:03:24And he would come over and we would sit and talk.
01:03:28And then I seen the lifestyle he was living.
01:03:31And I was like, oh, no, I don't want to live like that.
01:03:36You know, I mean, yeah.
01:03:38You know, he was a songwriter.
01:03:41But if you seen him, you would swear he couldn't spell his name.
01:03:47Maybe he couldn't.
01:03:49You know, and I'm like, okay, let me find.
01:03:53I went to school to be a counselor.
01:03:55Or maybe I need to do.
01:03:57That's what I thought.
01:03:58Maybe I need to do that.
01:04:04Well, like I say, everything that happens, happens for good.
01:04:08And while we're going through this, we don't see it that way.
01:04:11We would just be so focused on why it's not happening, how it's going to happen, when it's going to happen.
01:04:16And now, once you get past that, once you get out of it, and then you're able to look back, you're like, oh, I get it now.
01:04:24Yeah.
01:04:25Yeah.
01:04:26Yeah.
01:04:28Yeah, definitely.
01:04:30Any last thoughts that you'd like to go ahead and add before we close up and get out of here tonight?
01:04:37No, I think I've said enough for tonight.
01:04:39All right.
01:04:42Okay.
01:04:43Well, I appreciate you for coming through.
01:04:45Oh, yeah.
01:04:46And definitely thank you for allowing us to help Ms. Crystal out tonight.
01:04:52And, of course, like I always say, same place, same time.
01:04:57So we'll see you next week, and good luck on your interview.
01:05:01Oh, yeah.
01:05:01Oh, yeah.
01:05:02I mean, I'm enjoying this.
01:05:03I enjoy talking to you because you have a variety of things to talk about.
01:05:11And, you know, and then we go back, and it's kind of like we know each other, but we don't know each other.
01:05:17We never met, but we know each other because we have one thing in common.
01:05:22We both like music.
01:05:25Yes.
01:05:28Yes, yes, definitely.
01:05:29Always a great time speaking to you, and, yeah, you know we're going to do this again, so.
01:05:38All right.
01:05:39Well, have a great week, and thank you for coming through.
01:05:41I definitely appreciate you.
01:05:42Always bring high energy to the show, so I appreciate that.
01:05:47I try.
01:05:51All right.
01:05:56I will talk to you soon.
01:05:57Take care.
01:05:58Have a good night, and tell everybody I said what's up, and we'll talk to you next week.
01:06:03All right.
01:06:04You have a good one, too.
01:06:05Don't drink too much.
01:06:07Excuse me.
01:06:08Don't drink too much.
01:06:09You know what?
01:06:11Yeah.
01:06:12I'm on my second glass, and I might pour me just a little bit because it's so good.
01:06:16So we might do three glasses tonight.
01:06:18Oh, okay.
01:06:19Okay.
01:06:19Okay.
01:06:23All right.
01:06:24Enjoy that weather.
01:06:25Of course.
01:06:26Send it my way.
01:06:27All right.
01:06:30Good night.
01:06:35Well, ladies and gentlemen, there you have it.
01:06:38That is author Birdman313 coming through on Reading Between the Wines.
01:06:44He is our special guest, our reoccurring guest that will be here every week.
01:06:52Same place, same time here, Reading Between the Wines, 7 p.m. Eastern Standard Time.
01:06:58So, yeah, I just want to tell you that this wine really is good.
01:07:01So, he definitely gave me a little reminder to let you know before we get out of here.
01:07:07So, I'm sampling Canyon Road, Moscato, California.
01:07:10It really is a good wine.
01:07:13I like it.
01:07:14It's not overly sweet because I've had some wines that were super, super sweet that were ridiculous to where you can't even drink them.
01:07:24One that comes to mind, and I'm not here to bash any wine.
01:07:28You see how that rhymes?
01:07:29One that comes to mind, and I'm not here to bash any wine.
01:07:33But Jamal's Dream.
01:07:36Anybody out there, if you've ever tasted Jamal's Dream, holla at your boy.
01:07:42But I'll tell you one thing.
01:07:43I won't be trying that again.
01:07:45And then there's another one that's out.
01:07:47It's fairly new.
01:07:50XXXL.
01:07:51I don't know if anybody has seen that bottle in the store.
01:07:56XXXL.
01:07:56It's a cherry wine.
01:07:59Well, they have cherry, pineapple, all these different flavors.
01:08:01And you're thinking, oh, this is cool.
01:08:03I like this.
01:08:05One of the worst tasting wines that I've ever tasted in my life.
01:08:08And again, I'm not here to bash any wines, but I won't be trying that one again.
01:08:12But this one is pretty good that I'm sampling tonight.
01:08:14Canyon Road, Moscato.
01:08:17I definitely do like that.
01:08:19So let's go through the week, the days of the week.
01:08:23So Monday, we have Mental Mondays.
01:08:25We are giving you inspirational, motivational information to help you embrace your debt-free living from a mental aspect.
01:08:34Because we have to get our minds together before we can deal with the financial aspect.
01:08:41We have Transformational Tuesday.
01:08:42They go hand in hand.
01:08:44And once you get your mind together, then you can start to work on that physical.
01:08:50And you can work on how you show up in the world and show up in your new environment once you are and become the new you.
01:08:58Once you shed the old you and you become the new you.
01:09:01And of course, we're here tonight for Wine Down Wednesday.
01:09:06We're going to give you inspiration.
01:09:08We're going to give you motivation.
01:09:11And we're going to give you books.
01:09:12We're going to give you wine.
01:09:13We're going to give you great conversation.
01:09:15And we just wind down and have a great time.
01:09:17And you never know what's going to happen here, especially with me sampling wine and the antics that happen on the show here.
01:09:25You never know.
01:09:27Tomorrow, Thursday.
01:09:29Coaching Thursday.
01:09:30You can get anything from spiritual, mental, physical, financial.
01:09:34So, inspiration, motivation, Thursdays, same place, same time, 7 p.m.
