00:00Well, we have soaking rains on the way later today into tomorrow and early Wednesday. It's
00:04going to be a pretty dreary day Tuesday. A couple of inches of rain possible or even more in parts
00:09of south central Minnesota and cooler than normal most of the week.
00:22A couple of frosty mornings in a row up north in the 30s, even just below freezing,
00:28International Falls, Hibbing, Cook, some of those places. International Falls went from 96 last
00:34Sunday to 30 degrees this morning. And Halleck, pretty similar, 100 to the 30s as well. And this
00:41week's going to be below normal all across the northern U.S., keeping the heat in the south.
00:45Texas has got a heat wave going on. And in between, we're going to have rounds of severe weather well
00:50south of Minnesota. On the northern end of the system, just plain old rain frosts. 50s for highs
00:54today. That's cooler than normal. A normal high now is up to 70. So we're going to be below that
00:58most of this week, it looks like. System developing right to our south and southwest. This rain is
01:03going to fill in through the day today and expand north and east. This is mostly going to be a central
01:08and southern Minnesota rainfall event. Rain not really reaching northeastern Minnesota, where
01:13they could also use it, of course, where the fires are still going. But steady rain through the night
01:17into tomorrow and tomorrow night. And it's going to really add up here. We're not looking at severe
01:22weather or really probably much in the way of thunderstorms even. Just a lot of rain. One to
01:27three inches of rain across central and southern Minnesota. And many of these areas were completely
01:32missed by the Thursday, Friday rainfall. Twin cities right on the edge of that heaviest rain. So I think
01:36a couple of inches of rain, pretty good bet. And that'll wipe out our deficit that we had for the
01:40month of May. So all works out after that hot, dry, windy week. Rain cool temperatures tomorrow,
01:46mostly upper 40s only. Near 60, though, in northern Minnesota, where it'll stay dry. But yeah, below normal
01:51temperatures across the state tomorrow, but especially under the rain shield here in central
01:56and southern Minnesota tomorrow. We're going to just stay in this kind of cool, stormy upper
02:00level pattern with a few of these upper level lows coming in. But during the course of next
02:05week, we're going to start to see that upper level ridge pattern build back in. So it could
02:09be warming up quite a bit again by the end of next week. Memorial weekend kind of stuck in
02:14between where we'll still be on the cooler side of normal, probably at 60s to near 70 degree
02:18temperatures. It doesn't look like a washout, though, at this point either. We're going to
02:22be watching a little bit of unsettled weather develop potentially by the time we head into
02:26Sunday and Monday. So first half of the holiday weekend looks dry. Second half might have a few
02:31showers and thunderstorms to deal with late Sunday, especially into Sunday night and Memorial
02:36Day itself. But it's not going to be what we had a couple weeks ago. You kind of would rather
02:41have those hot, sunny days during that holiday weekend. Not the case. But again, it doesn't look like a
02:46total washout. 58 today. Cloudy. Rain developing by the evening hours. And that rain, once it develops,
02:53pretty steady tonight into tomorrow. Tomorrow night, temperatures won't budge much. It's going
02:57to be windy, too, today and tomorrow. 15 to 30 mile an hour winds out of the east. Decreasing clouds
03:03Wednesday. Should see a little sunshine, I think, Thursday. But the weekend, a mix of clouds and sun.
03:08Temperatures, again, a few degrees below normal. And then by late Sunday, we'll see that chance of a few
03:13showers with temperatures warming up as we head into next week.
