00:00Today, Rupert and Bill make a special delivery in Rupert and the Nutwood Fair.

00:16There's a little bear, like you've never seen before, who's a lot of fun.

00:23Children everywhere, so they love him more and more, he's the number one.

00:30There's a million stories to be told of the things that he's done, and he's going to share them all with you, so come along.

00:44Rupert, Rupert the Bell, everyone sing his name.

00:50Rupert, Rupert the Bell, everyone come and join.

00:56It's the first day of Rupert's holiday, and Mrs. Bear is reading his school report.

01:10I'm glad to see you're making good progress, Rupert. Daddy will be pleased.

01:17Well, I do try, Mummy.

01:19Yes, I'm sure.

01:21But now you're on holiday, and the fair is on in Nutwood.

01:24Why don't you go and enjoy yourself?

01:35Rupert lands his chariot and sees his chums, Bill Badger, Hodgie Pig and Margot at the entrance to the fair.

01:42Wait for me, calls Rupert.

01:45I didn't think you were coming, says Margot.

01:49Once inside the fairground, Hodgie spots the ice cream man.

01:53Oh, look, let's have one of these before we start.

01:56Oh, come on, Hodgie, we can have ice cream any day.

02:02Where shall we go first, then, inquires Bill.

02:06What about the helter-skelter?

02:09That's where we slide down a windy slope on a mat, isn't it, says Hodgie, coming back with a large ice cream.

02:16That's right, it's great.

02:18Let's go, says Rupert.

02:19Bill is the first at the top of the helter-skelter.

02:29Here I go, he shouts.

02:32Whee, it's lovely.

02:35My turn now.

02:37Look out, Bill, I'm coming down, calls Margot.

02:40Right, see you at the bottom, Hodgie.

02:43I'm off.

02:43Bill and Margot are waiting as Rupert finishes his ride.

02:50That was super.

02:53What's happened to Hodgie, says Rupert, looking up.

02:57But poor Hodgie is stuck halfway down.

03:01He tries hard to free himself, but can't move.

03:04Help, help, he cries.

03:08That'll teach Hodgie to eat so much, laughs Bill.

03:11Hold on to the sides, and try and work yourself free, suggests Rupert.

03:17Hurry up, we want our go, shout the children.

03:22Hodgie tries to get free again.

03:25Come on, have another try, calls Rupert once more.

03:30Suddenly, Hodgie slides down the helter-skelter, and lands at the bottom.

03:37Poor old Hodgie, are you hurt, asks Rupert.

03:42Bruised all over, I should think.

03:44Never try and slide down one of those things again, Hodgie, says Bill.

03:49What's next, Rupert?

03:51Oh, I know.

03:53Let's try our skill at the coconut shy, says Margot.

03:56I don't think I've got any strength left, but I'll try, says Hodgie.

04:02It's not very hard.

04:04The man will let us go halfway, I expect, explains Rupert.

04:07Come on, then.

04:08Don't let's waste any more time.

04:11Rupert and his chums get to the coconut shy, only to find the man sitting on a chair, looking miserable.

04:18Hello, says Rupert cheerfully.

04:20May we have a try at knocking one of your coconuts down?

04:24Look, he says, pointing to the empty stands.

04:28I haven't got one for you to knock down.

04:30Where are the coconuts, then?

04:33Asks Rupert.

04:35It's the deliveries.

04:36They don't seem to come on time.

04:38Once I didn't have any for a week.

04:41Perhaps if we come back later, they'll have arrived, suggests Rupert.

04:44Come on, let's look round.

04:47Have fun at the fair, says the man.

04:49See you all later, then.

04:51Rupert and his chums are looking at the roundabout.

04:55What about going on that?

04:57Oh, yes, Rupert, I love roundabouts, replies Bill excitedly.

05:03Oh, not for me.

05:04They make me feel dizzy, laughs Margot.

05:07Me, too.

05:09We'll go on the swings, then, and meet you and Bill later, says Margot.

05:16Rupert and Bill arrive at the roundabout

05:18and get into the cockpit of a wooden aeroplane.

05:21Rupert sits in front.

05:23Are you in, Bill?

05:25Yes, thanks, Rupert.

05:27Here we go.

05:29We're off.

05:30Fasten your seatbelts, calls Rupert, laughing.

05:33It's super.

05:35Oh, dear.

05:36I haven't got one.

05:38You're joking, aren't you?

05:41Anyway, I'm glad you're the pilot.

05:44As the roundabout begins to turn,

05:46the little aeroplane takes off.

05:50Rupert, what's happening?

05:52We really are flying,

05:53shouts Bill, very surprised.

05:55I don't know, but hang on tight.

05:58Instead of going round,

06:00we're going up,

06:02says Bill worriedly.

06:04The plane left the roundabout at the fair

06:06and now is zooming through the air.

06:09Rupert and Bill fly for a while,

06:11then down below see a desert isle.

06:14Look, it's Robinson Crusoe's island

06:17and we're going down towards it.

06:20They land when it's safe to do so

06:22and are met by Robinson Crusoe.

06:26Did you know that Bill and I would visit you?

06:29asks Rupert.

06:29Yes, I've been expecting you all the morning,

06:33replies Robinson Crusoe.

06:35Why?

06:36The deliveries of coconuts haven't been on time,

06:38have they?

06:39No, the man at the coconut shy is waiting for his now.

06:43We couldn't have a go,

06:44but he told us to come back later,

06:46explains Rupert.

06:48Exactly.

06:49Now, listen carefully.

06:51I want you to take these sacks of coconuts

06:53back with you to the fair

06:54and give them to the man on the shy,

06:56urges Robinson Crusoe.

06:58Shall we tell him where they came from?

07:01No, Bill.

07:02That's our little secret.

07:04I understand.

07:05We'll start loading them.

07:07They stack the coconuts into the aeroplane.

07:13These should keep the man happy.

07:15Oh, we'll be able to have a try

07:17at knocking one down when we get back, Rupert,

07:21puffs Bill as he picks up the last sack.

07:23Look, that's the lot.

07:24You can take off now,

07:26suggests Robinson Crusoe.

07:28Before we go,

07:29I'd like to give you this,

07:31says Rupert.

07:32How did you know I wanted a mug?

07:34I only broke mine this morning.

07:36It slipped out of my hand.

07:38Oh, thanks, Rupert.

07:40I won it on the hoopla.

07:42Rupert and Bill climb into the aeroplane

07:44while Robinson stands watching them.

07:47See you soon.

07:48Take care of the mug,

07:50says Rupert,

07:50and the little aeroplane rises into the air.

07:53Hold on tight.

07:59We're coming down at the back of the coconut shye.

08:03Rupert and Bill land,

08:05and the man sees them.

08:07We've brought you a load of coconuts for your shye,

08:09says Rupert.

08:10Oh, you are good,

08:12replies the man,

08:13who's delighted to see so many nuts.

08:16Rupert, Bill, and the man

08:17begin to unload the sacks.

08:19That's the lot.

08:27We must be going now,

08:28says Rupert.

08:29Rupert and Bill fly over to the roundabout

08:32just as the music stops.

08:34There's no trace of them ever having left.

08:35There's Margot and Pudgy.

08:38Let's go and join them,

08:39says Rupert, clambering off.

08:41Where did you get those coconuts from, you two?

08:43Asks Margot.

08:45Oh, well, um...

08:46Well, the coconut shye, of course,

08:48replies Rupert.

08:50Raggedy comes towards them.

08:52What are you doing here, Raggedy?

08:54Looking for some juicy tent bowls to eat.

08:57See many, says Raggedy.

08:59What's that in your hand?

09:01A coconut.

09:03I know.

09:03Why don't you come home with us

09:05and you can nibble through the shell,

09:06suggests Rupert.

09:08It looks a bit hairy.

09:09I might choke, replies Raggedy.

09:12Bill's got a nut too.

09:14You could have two shells.

09:15They'll last you for ages,

09:17encourages Rupert.

09:19Oh, all right then.

09:21I'd like to come too, Rupert,

09:23adds Pudgy.

09:24I love coconuts.

09:27Let's all go to my house to tea.

09:33Did you spend all your money, dear?

09:34Asks Mrs. Bear.

09:36No, not quite.

09:37But look what I've got.

09:39Did you win that?

09:41No, I had it given to me.

09:42He's promised to let me nibble the shell,

09:45says Raggedy.

09:46Splendid.

09:47Then you won't eat my wooden spoon,

09:49laughs Mrs. Bear.

09:53says Bill.

09:54Raggedy begins to nibble Rupert's coconut.

09:57Look, he's eating the nut as well as the shell,

10:00Mrs. Bear, says Pudgy.

10:02Yes, and it's nice.

10:04Where's yours?

10:05screams Raggedy.

10:07Now let me divide the two nuts among you,

10:10says Mrs. Bear.

10:11Then there will be a peace for everyone.
