00:00Today, Rupert, with the help of Crow, makes a discovery in Rupert and the Buried Silver.

00:16There's a little bear that you've never seen before, who's a lot of fun.

00:23Children everywhere, go to love him more and more, he's the number one.

00:30There's a million stories to be told, all the things that he's done.

00:36And he's gonna share them all with you, so come along.

00:43Rupert, Rupert the Bell, everyone sing his name.

00:50Rupert, Rupert the Bell, everyone come and join.

00:56In all of his name.

01:00Mrs. Bear is taking the curtains down in the kitchen.

01:09What are you doing with those? asks Rupert.

01:12I thought I'd start my spring cleaning, dear.

01:16Shall I help you?

01:17Well, as it's your half term, why not go on a picnic? It's a lovely day.

01:24Oh, super. I'll telephone Pudgy Pig and see what he's doing.

01:28Yes, dear, says Mrs. Bear getting down.

01:31And I'll make you some sandwiches.

01:33While Mrs. Bear is busy cutting the bread, Rupert is telephoning his friend.

01:40Yes, Pudgy can come, but his cousin Rosalie is spending her half term with him, so she'll have to come too.

01:47Oh, we've arranged to meet at the lone tree on the common.

01:51I'll get it.

01:54Rupert opens the back door, and Bill Badger is standing on the step.

01:58Why, hello, Bill. I'm going for a picnic with Pudgy and Rosalie. Want to come?

02:04Oh, yes, please, Rupert.

02:06What a good job I've made enough for two, laughs Mrs. Bear.

02:11Rosalie and Pudgy Pig are eating sweets and waiting by the lone tree.

02:16Hello, you two. Started the picnic already, asks Rupert.

02:21How are we all going to get into the chariot, asks Pudgy.

02:25We're not. We're walking.

02:27I'm leaving the chariot here, explains Rupert.

02:30They leave the chariot and set out to walk.

02:34But Rosalie still keeps up the talk.

02:36And so their journey is not so fleet, as she keeps complaining of her feet.

02:42Oh, my poor feet hurt, she sighs.

02:47We'll have a rest, then.

02:49You shouldn't have brought her. She's a pest when we go out, says Bill.

02:54Don't speak to me like that, Bill Badger.

02:57I'm not a pest.

02:58My feet hurt, and I'm hungry, and I'm going to have a snack, moans Rosalie.

03:04There's a fallen tree trunk over there. Let's rest a while.

03:09The chums sit on the tree trunk, talking,

03:12When suddenly, Rupert hears twigs crackling under heavy footsteps.

03:16A man comes towards them.

03:19What are you all doing here?

03:21Asks the man in a gruff, angry voice.

03:24Only resting, sir, replies Rupert.

03:27Well, now, isn't that nice?

03:31He pauses, and then shouts.

03:34This is my land. Get off.

03:37Oh, Margie, I'm frightened.

03:39Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know we were trespassing.

03:43But we'll go straight away.

03:45Rupert and the chums leave hurriedly.

03:49Look, there's Stan, and he's beckoning to us, says Rupert.

03:53Let's see what he wants.

03:55Hello, Stan.

03:57A man shouted at us just now.

03:59Do you know who he is?

04:01Yes, his name's Grant, and he's bought a farm just here, explains Stan.

04:06Would you and your friends like to come over to my house for a rest?

04:11Oh, thank you, Stan.

04:12Oh, yes, and I can sit down.

04:16My feet hurt.

04:18Rupert and his chums follow Stan into the next field.

04:23The house is very odd-looking.

04:26It's partly an old cottage and partly a railway carriage.

04:30I do like your house, Stan.

04:37It's very cosy, remarks Rupert.

04:40Yes, I like it too.

04:42But that Mr. Grant wants me out.

04:45However, this piece of ground belongs to me.

04:49Oh, that's lucky.

04:50He can't do anything to hurt you, then.

04:52After a while, Rosalie tells them that she has rested her feet and wants to go.

04:57Do come again, says Stan.

05:00At last, they find somewhere for their picnic.

05:05Mrs. Bear makes smashing sandwiches, Rupert.

05:09Poggy and I have got banana ones.

05:13When they finish their picnic, Poggy and Rosalie decide to go a different way home.

05:18But Rupert and Bill have to fetch the chariot.

05:19Suddenly, Rupert stops.

05:25Listen, Bill.

05:27Can you hear voices?

05:29Yes.

05:30Who is it?

05:32One of them is Mr. Grant, anyway.

05:34Shh!

05:35Let's hear what they're saying.

05:37I'd never have buried the stuff there if I'd known that old chap was going to live in that railway carriage.

05:42We'll have to get him out of the way.

05:46They must be talking about Stan, exclaims Rupert.

05:49Let's go and tell him.

05:51They find Stan sitting outside his door.

05:58Sorry to interrupt you, Stan, remarks Rupert.

06:00But we've got something very important to tell you.

06:03It's about that horrible Mr. Grant, chimes in Bill.

06:13Hold on, Bill.

06:14Let me tell Stan.

06:16Rupert explains the conversation that he and Bill overheard in the bushes.

06:31Crow appears and hovers round Rupert.

06:36Asks Rupert.

06:41He's trying to tell us something.

06:47Rupert, Bill and Stan walk over to where Crow is located.

06:49He's flapping his wings.

06:52We're here now.

07:00He's gone over to that spade.

07:03I think he wants us to dig here.

07:12Rupert begins to dig with Crow looking on.

08:22Rupert there's only one thing to do we'll all go to Nutford police station and tell PC growler what

08:45you know who the thief is hmm it certainly looks like the stolen goods from the manor this is very

08:52important fine young Rupert and I'm sure there'll be a reward oh good sir now you think you know

08:59who the thief is do you Rupert that mr. grant is just going into the shop across the road cries

09:05Bill excitedly oh yes that's him look sir let me see is it that man asks constable growler yes what

09:15shall we do you wait here leave this to me Rupert Bill and Stan watch as the constable crosses the

09:22high street mr. grant is in the doorway of the shop I should like you to come to the police station to

09:28help me with my inquiries if you don't mind sir why I haven't done anything then you won't mind

09:35coming will you sir oh the council was bringing mr. grab back with him hey where did that come from

09:43shouts mr. grant I left it aha so you recognize it the constable has the handcuffs on him in no time

09:51Rupert takes Stan and Bill back to his cottage they tell mrs. bear all about the buried silver I

09:59hope constable growler will find the other man mr. grant was talking to in the bushes says Rupert I
