Ingredients: - 300gms (1 1/2 cup ) Basmati Rice - 500 ml (2 cups) Water - 2tbsp of Ghee - 4 -5 Cloves - 2- 3 pieces of cinnamon - 1 Bay Leaf ( Tej Patta ) - Green cardamom pods - Some Freshly crushed Black Pepper - 1tbsp of Coriander Powder - 2 Cups of Finely chopped Spinach - 1 1/2 tsp of Salt - Juice of 1 Lime
Method: - Soak Basmati Rice in water for 15- 20 minutes, later drain the water from the rice. - Pour water in pan and allow it to become hot. - In a pan add ghee to which add cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, cardamom pods and some freshly crushed black pepper and stir the mixture well - Stir in the rice in the mixture and add coriander powder and saute the mixture - Add spinach to the rice and keep the mixture stirring - Pour the hot water into the rice pan, add salt and juice of Lime and stir it and cover the lid for 15 minutes or until the rice is done
