00:00Well, we saw some showers this morning. More storms are on the way here over the next 36
00:04hours or so. Cool front will wipe it all out in time for what looks like a beautiful weekend on
00:08the way. So those showers this morning kind of developing and moving along the advancement of
00:24that humid air, which has returned for much of western and southern Minnesota. Dew points now
00:28well into the 60s, close to 70. And that humid air sticking around through tomorrow. And that's
00:32going to create this unsettled scenario here through Friday night. We've got that warm front
00:37that it's into state halfway. But that's produced those showers that are diminishing now as those
00:45overnight upper level, low level jet stream winds diminish here. But we are going to see that humid
00:50air continue to take hold across the state. Dew points will be near 70 by the evening. So pretty
00:54humid air. And that's sticking around through tomorrow. But we'll be watching that cool front
00:58to the west. Combined with this upper level low, we've been tracking this is what was off the
01:03coast of California now making across Wyoming and Colorado. And that combined with that cool front
01:08to the west will be the focus for storms, more widespread storms to develop later tomorrow. So
01:13morning activity fizzles out. But we could see an isolated shower or thunderstorm really anywhere in
01:18the state today, especially if we see enough sunshine. Those clouds will break up here and should see
01:24some peaks of sun, which should get us into the 80s today. But the more sun we potentially see,
01:29better chance of some of those spotty storms popping up. And then tomorrow, it's going to be
01:33mainly late in the afternoon. We'll watch these storms in western Minnesota develop midday
01:36along the front and then kind of track east in a broken line. This system for tomorrow is looking
01:42less and less impressive. But there will be some scattered showers and thunderstorms late tomorrow
01:46into tomorrow night. But it all clears us early Saturday. And not really a real strong risk of severe
01:52weather, just a marginal risk level one out of five that we could see one or two isolated storms.
01:56We just don't have that dynamic support aloft to organize storms. These will be rather just
02:01showers and garden variety storms ahead of that front moving through. But we will see some
02:06additional rainfall, half inch to an inch and a half of potential rainfall for us. And those dew points,
02:11which will start out near 70 tomorrow evening, will drop through the day Friday behind that front.
02:16That'll bring in some stable, clear air for the weekend. So dew points in the 50s here by the time we head
02:21into Saturday afternoon. Highs right 80, kind of a picture-perfect afternoon Saturday with the
02:27sunshine, lower humidity. And then Sunday will be a little warmer again, back well into the 80s.
02:31But Monday could be close to 90 here across central and southern Minnesota, ahead of the next round of
02:37what looks to be some dreary weather, more of a June or May-like setup next week. We're going to
02:41have this upper-level disturbance, which will kind of break away from the upper-level ridge. That's what
02:45this upper-level high is here. That's the heat dome in the southwest. You can see all these little
02:49x's. Those are kind of disturbances rotating around it. Well, one's going to break away and move towards
02:54us as we head into late next or midweek next week, Tuesday into Wednesday. That's going to produce
02:59some widespread cloud cover, unsettled weather, and more showers and thunderstorms. And that's
03:04going to keep the temperatures a little below normal probably. So widespread showers and thunderstorms,
03:10potentially Wednesday too. So a couple of dreary days here will keep those temperatures
03:155 to 10 degrees below normal for this time of year. We don't typically get these kinds of
03:20systems that give you a couple days of clouds and showers in July, but looks like that's what's
03:25going to happen next week. So soak up the sun this weekend and on Monday. 83 today, if we can get
03:31enough sunshine out there. Again, a spotty shower, thunderstorm possible. And then tomorrow,
03:37it's going to be that better chance late afternoon, evening into the overnight. Clearing out here Saturday,
03:42though, with that drop in humidity. Again, lots of sun and pretty warm here by Sunday and Monday.
03:47But then that next system will produce more showers and storms Tuesday into Wednesday,
03:52and that's going to kind of knock the temperatures down. It looks like next week for Wednesday and
03:56Thursday, too.
