00:01Previously on Project Runway, I'm back!
00:08I'm having a slight flashback,
00:10because in my other season,
00:13it was also a team challenge,
00:15and I'm having a little PTSD.
00:17What's happening? I already need a martini.
00:19All right.
00:20In season 19, I left it on episode one,
00:23but I'm very confident about what I made for this challenge.
00:27Literally, like, my intern could sew that in 30 minutes.
00:30I'm a Gemini.
00:31I take critiques very like,
00:32don't tell me what to do.
00:34That was the one that I'm using.
00:35Okay, well, I can use it, too.
00:36Which one is it?
00:37BJ is in her own bubble.
00:40She's very standoffish.
00:41Bitch, better not start.
00:43This is my best-in-law.
00:46She's what we call in the business of .
00:50Congratulations, Ethan.
00:52You're the winner of this challenge.
00:54Shut up!
00:55Casey, Joseph, and Antonio.
00:58You had the three bottom looks.
00:59Am I being punk?
01:01Ooh.
01:02Ooh, he's spicy.
01:03I don't think there's any reason to be defensive.
01:05No, I'm not being defensive at all.
01:06Casey, it's very lackluster,
01:09and what you then wrapped around to me
01:11looks like an afterthought.
01:12Do we stay home with a bad dress or a bad attitude?
01:15It's just very emotional.
01:17I can't believe this is happening again.
01:19You're so mean.
01:20No, no, no.
01:21Why am I here?
01:23I want to go home.
01:27A stake for the winner is $200,000,
01:30a spread in Elle magazine,
01:32and a life-changing mentorship with the CFDA.
01:36This is Project One Way.
01:38I really, like, can't handle.
01:39Okay.
01:40It's okay.
01:41It's okay.
01:42It's not the criticism.
01:43It's just, like, being in this position again.
01:44I'm pretty shocked I'm in the bottom three.
01:45After being eliminated on episode one of another season,
01:47I can't believe it could happen again.
01:48It just feels like a bad joke.
01:49I can't go home.
01:50Like, I didn't get to show who I was as a designer.
01:51Let's prove to them that we'd make it to the end.
01:53My brother and I are supposed to make it to the end together.
01:55I can't believe I'm in the bottom.
01:56I might be going home.
01:57We're ready?
01:58We're ready?
02:25Casey?
02:27Casey, Antonio, Joseph, we've made our decision.
02:39Joseph, you're safe.
02:43You can leave the runway.
02:45Thank you, Josephine.
02:52Casey, you had the most beautiful fabric,
02:55but it was evident you had unresolved design problems.
03:01Antonio, I actually thought your dress was delicious,
03:06but your attitude was despicable.
03:11Hmm.
03:13Casey, Antonio, one of you will be in,
03:18and one of you will be out.
03:23Antonio.
03:25You're in.
03:31I'm sorry, I'm going to be in here.
03:37I love you.
03:38Keep it on your side.
03:40You can leave the runway.
03:41I'll work a bad at.
03:47Ah, Casey.
03:49I'm so sorry, but that means you're out.
03:51Yes.
03:51Oh, my God, you're so sweet.
03:54I'm so grateful to have met you.
03:57Good luck.
04:01Bye, guys.
04:03Casey.
04:05Baby.
04:05Come here.
04:06I'm so glad I got to meet you guys.
04:08I'm, like, beyond shocked to be eliminated for this look.
04:11Casey.
04:12Yes.
04:12I know it's rough going on the first.
04:14It's hard.
04:15But you're so talented.
04:16That's why you're here.
04:17That's why you came back, right?
04:18Think about, hold that strong.
04:20Thank you, Christian.
04:20I'm going to send you the workroom, clean up your space,
04:22say goodbye to everybody, okay?
04:24Okay.
04:24And good luck.
04:25It feels harsh to leave this stage of the competition again.
04:29I definitely feel like I wish I could have shown more,
04:31but I still am really proud of it.
04:33Project Runway is an experience I will never forget,
04:38and I'm probably finished with as of now.
04:47All right.
04:48Come back, sit around.
04:50We're not done.
04:51Oh, my God.
04:51What?
04:52Christian, I don't know how much we can take today.
04:54The competition is very real now.
04:57You just saw it.
04:58Casey walked out the door.
04:59Goes quick.
05:01Ethan, congratulations.
05:04Thank you so much.
05:06I have something extra for you.
05:09Oh, jeez.
05:11Oh, what do you got, mama?
05:13Because you guys are going to continue to work in houses
05:17a little longer.
05:19Oh.
05:20What?
05:20As a winning designer, in the next challenge,
05:23you're going to have an opportunity to swap.
05:24a designer from a house.
05:30Oh.
05:31Christian Siriano really came in and was like,
05:34let me just drop a rock into this pond.
05:36Think on it.
05:38Like Heidi said, new house, new rules.
05:41Okay.
05:42You'll decide at the next challenge.
05:45The houses aren't over yet.
05:47Get ready for it.
05:49Bring it on.
05:50But I think I know what I'm going to do.
05:52Things are about to get spicy.
05:55Here we go.
05:57Here we go.
05:59Here we go.
06:00Oh.
06:01Oh.
06:02Some jump ropes.
06:03Squeeze it on.
06:04That Pilates ring in.
06:06Hey, guys.
06:08Guys, listen to this.
06:10Here's a gift.
06:11Put these on and meet me in the workroom.
06:14Christian.
06:15What?
06:15What?
06:16Let's go.
06:20That last challenge was a lot for me and Antonio.
06:23I think you are being defensive and also a little bit rude.
06:27Sorry if you hate the coat.
06:29I hate the whole look.
06:30But at the same time, law, don't you worry.
06:32We're about to prove you so wrong.
06:37All right, everybody.
06:38Let's go to the workroom.
06:40Yes.
06:41Woo.
06:42My strategy about this switch is I really want to make sure I'm making the best decision for me.
06:47So do I get rid of Jesus, the boisterous one?
06:51All I have to do is prove him wrong.
06:53Or VJ that is hard to work with.
06:57How's it going, Ziva?
06:59This one.
07:01So here's to the right choice.
07:05I like to shake it up and keep that body working.
07:08Ooh.
07:09And class begins.
07:10All right.
07:11Come on.
07:12Get zen.
07:13Get comfortable.
07:14Get on your mat.
07:17I don't know any yoga poses.
07:18Does anybody know yoga poses?
07:20Okay, come show me.
07:22Yoga is not my thing.
07:24I'm the type of person that gets really bored in the gym.
07:27Bend this knee.
07:28Yes.
07:29My workout is walking to that coffee shop and then enjoy people watching.
07:35That's my workout.
07:36I think I pulled something.
07:40So you're going to continue to work in houses, Ethan.
07:43Remember, you have the power to swap a member of your house.
07:49I think I am going to do a swap.
07:52A swap.
07:54Uh-oh.
07:55If Ethan is smart enough, he's going to keep me because he knows what I'm capable of doing
08:00and he knows I'm a strong designer.
08:02I think he should get rid of Vijay because she has not been a team player and bring over Antonio.
08:08The pressure.
08:09The pressure is getting wussaps.
08:11Yes.
08:11Yes.
08:11So I'm going to swap Jesus with Madeline.
08:26Jesus and Madeline.
08:28I hope you don't regret your decision.
08:36I have full confidence that you're going to kill it.
08:38And I really want to see this dynamic happen.
08:40Because y'all have been claiming that y'all are a powerhouse together.
08:44And I want to see it.
08:46Well, get ready.
08:48They are all talk.
08:50They run a store together, but I'd love to see this store close, baby.
08:54All right.
08:56For this challenge, each house must create a cohesive activewear capsule collection
09:02where the collection goes from workout to the weekend
09:06with one of the hottest activewear companies, Kalia.
09:12To give you guys some more insight into Kalia, we have a special guest,
09:18vice president and head designer for Kalia, Alicia Scott.
09:22Woo-hoo!
09:23Woo-hoo!
09:24Wow!
09:27Beautiful!
09:27Hi, guys.
09:28So good to meet all of you.
09:30We created Kalia about 10 years ago and really wanted to form a brand
09:34that is the perfect juxtaposition of fashion and femininity and function.
09:40And I love how you guys have all styled all your pieces you got today.
09:43Our entire collection is rooted in performance.
09:46If you're designing a look for Pilates or run, it needs to be able to function.
09:50We believe there's beauty in the burn.
09:53How's it going to work whenever she's doing a downward dog?
09:56Make sure that when you're designing a piece, it can be used for working out,
10:00going to grab coffee, going out to grab cocktails with your friends.
10:04It needs to be versatile.
10:06So not only has Kalia provided look books,
10:09it also provided all the fabrications for the challenge.
10:12Okay.
10:13That's not all.
10:15Kalia is going to produce and sell the winning look from the winning collection.
10:22Woo!
10:23That would be so cool to have a Joseph McCray and Kalia produce that.
10:27I feel like it would eat down.
10:28I love the idea of this, like, beauty in the burn.
10:31So, what if we have, like, fire on the runway?
10:35Ooh!
10:36Like, actual fire.
10:38So you'll have all of today and part of tomorrow to create your fire-worthy collections.
10:45Don't you love a one-day challenge?
10:46Yes.
10:48Ah, one day to do this, as if there weren't enough stress already.
10:52The burn of it all.
10:55Bye.
10:55Bye.
10:56Bye.
10:56Bye.
10:57Ethan, you want to see what it's like when you put Antonio and I together?
11:03It's going to be game on, and it's going to push me to even do better to beat him,
11:09and then he's going to realize that he up.
11:13Girl, whatever.
11:20What's our team?
11:21Team?
11:22Wow.
11:23Team winner.
11:24Team winner.
11:25That's a good one.
11:25Team winning.
11:25No.
11:26It has something to do with fire.
11:29Team burn.
11:30I guess it's final answer.
11:33I'm glad I put together a strong team.
11:35I really wanted to equalize the energy of our group by putting all of the boisterous energies
11:41on one team.
11:42I want day eight.
11:44I better burn.
11:46I'm actually very happy that Ethan let go Jesus because I don't want another drama.
11:53That was the one that I'm using.
11:55Okay, well, I can use it too.
11:58And it could be hot to do the lines in the pop-up wrap.
12:02So we'll all have the lines incorporated.
12:06Yes.
12:06Okay.
12:06Okay, guys, we need to start guiding fabrics.
12:08I just want to be cohesive.
12:12I do like this color story situation going on over here.
12:15But we got to pick a group of fabrics and all go with it, you guys.
12:18Y'all go with it.
12:19We decided to call our team the House of Lotus because we wanted to feel the vent within the
12:23berm.
12:23And so coming off the last challenge, being in the bottom, our stickler was our cohesion.
12:30So as we're going through these fabrics that Kalia provided us, we're really paying attention
12:36to what color palette we want to do so that we really nail that cohesion this time.
12:40Because if we miss it two times in a row, we're going to be done for.
12:44I love this fabric.
12:46I was trying to get the colors out of this.
12:48This has all your colors.
12:49Once again, Antonio is choosing the fabric, and I'm getting a little anxious because last
12:58time he chose fabric, we were in the bottom.
13:02Can y'all roll the tape back?
13:03The fabric that I brought from home is in pink.
13:05So let's have the inspiration of our collection be butterflies.
13:09That's the best one out of all of them.
13:10I think we should go with that.
13:12I don't like that.
13:12No?
13:13Mm-mm.
13:14You like this better?
13:15I mean, I like this.
13:16I don't like that either, but I mean...
13:18That's what I wanted to start with.
13:20Miss Joan, I want to know...
13:21It is what it is.
13:22Oh, is the drama already beginning?
13:24You know, working with the twins, you know, they're a whole vibe, but our looks have to
13:29be cohesive.
13:31I love Miss Joan, but she's a little, little old school and stuck in the back in the days.
13:36This fabric's so cool.
13:38It's just more young.
13:39I'll make it work.
13:44Don't use the fabric scissors, you nincompoop.
13:47I love Alex.
13:49I didn't expect this competition to become so connective so quickly.
13:54And me and Alex bonded so quickly.
13:56It's so soft.
13:57It's so cozy.
13:57Like, she's going to be in it and be like, wow.
13:59I want it.
13:59I want it.
14:00I'm making a lounge sweatsuit with a corset bustier top.
14:06It all sprouted from trying to use the aspects of a kimono.
14:11I grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina, but my Nana was a tailor from Nagasaki, Japan.
14:18So I find a lot of inspiration in what the Japanese call intangible cultural treasures.
14:26But my mama would say that I don't bring enough of the South with me.
14:30How are you feeling this week?
14:34Feeling great.
14:35It looks really cool.
14:36Thank you so much.
14:37I appreciate that.
14:38You are absolutely looking at the next winner of Project Runway.
14:41My design aesthetic is a combination of street wear and elegance.
14:47I want to win Project Runway for my daughter, Ava.
14:50It's right here.
14:52Having her change me as a person, it gave me so much more drive.
14:56And I do this all for her.
14:58So I have to make this stand out and hopefully wow the judges.
15:05Madeline, what informs your work?
15:08I'm trying to always like see things that I like about vintage fashion, but then giving
15:15it like my own little twist.
15:17What about yourself?
15:19I grew up in like a hoedunk farm town.
15:21I just felt inherently so different from the rest of my family.
15:24The only thing I could really do was, you know, rely on my own creativity and imagination
15:29to kind of distract me from maybe not feeling like it belonged there.
15:34Did they accept you as you are?
15:36Like, you know, when I finally did come out, they were like, we don't get it yet, but we
15:43just don't want to lose you.
15:44So we're going to try to figure this out.
15:47I feel really blessed to be able to have my family and my life.
15:51So it makes me want to really push myself to win this for them.
16:00Hello.
16:01Hey, Chris J.
16:02How's the team going?
16:04Let's go!
16:05I do think the silhouette of this skirt, you still have to figure out.
16:10Oh, Lord, this might send me home.
16:13I am a technical designer and I am a serious workaholic.
16:19My family is Jamaican and I've always been raised with all the elders around me doing multiple
16:24things.
16:25Even if it's not their job, they're going to figure out how to do it that day and do it.
16:29So I have to push myself because this workout weekend challenge is taking me out of my comfort
16:34zone.
16:34I really wanted to do something that was extremely comfortable.
16:39I think it feels a little too demure.
16:42I think I made the right decision.
16:45I was the one who fought to use this print because Mrs. Jung didn't like it and she still
16:49doesn't like it.
16:49Okay, so you did it again.
16:52You wanted a print again.
16:54Everybody wants this print?
16:58Groundbreaking, this circle skirt.
17:01Yeah.
17:01I can cut a circle out right now and do this in 10 minutes.
17:05Really?
17:07We're kind of not the exact same look from the last challenge, but you're making a jacket
17:13and a jacket and a skirt?
17:15A jacket and a skirt.
17:17Let me tell you a little something about Christian Seriano.
17:21Christian will come in the workroom like, are you sure about that?
17:26Or he be walking around like, okay.
17:29That little face be killing me with them glasses and that hair perfectly swapped into
17:33the side.
17:34The top being fabulous is very important here.
17:37We should develop this more because you already know you can make a cool jacket.
17:41I'm going to listen to Christian because I know I'm taking a risk, but I do not want
17:44to be in the bottom again.
17:46You got a lot to do.
17:47I got you.
17:47Okay.
17:48Let's get it.
17:50I'm kind of going for like that modern with a little bit of Tron.
17:54This sash doesn't do anything.
17:56She couldn't do any athletic things with this hanging.
18:01Mmm.
18:03What are all these lines on this?
18:05So I kind of want to achieve this kind of like texture.
18:09All of these lines you're going to weave.
18:11The inspiration for this design is the Kalia logo.
18:15It's like a twisted string.
18:18It's like very dynamic.
18:20What are you doing?
18:21It's going to be like a more like athletic, fancy corset bustier kind of thing.
18:30This makes no sense for an athletic look.
18:34That scares me.
18:35Athleisure specifically is not something that I normally do.
18:39Unfortunately, time is not on our side in this competition.
18:44Christian has his doubts about this corset, but we're sticking to our guns.
18:48Hmm.
18:50What are you doing?
18:51I am doing an oversized hoodie, which I'm thinking about cropping.
18:56I did the pin tuck in my hand.
18:58Mm-hmm.
18:58It's going to have the same pin tuck in all over the pants as well.
19:02So you're also doing a sweat.
19:06Oversized sweat pant.
19:06Oversized sweat pant in the same fabric.
19:10Is the pant wide like that wide?
19:12You haven't even looked at each other's stuff and she's right in front of you.
19:16Honestly, I really don't know much about what my team is doing.
19:20This is it.
19:21Yes.
19:22Looks very similar.
19:23Having looked at the other designers on my team, I've just been too focused.
19:27So we just have a wide pant off on the runway in the same fabric.
19:33What the ?
19:34Like, what am I going to do next?
19:35I need to think fast and pivot into some other different silhouette.
19:39If I don't succeed, I'm worried it might put me on the bottom.
19:46So I'm looking at Team Lotus and it does not fit the brief that we got.
19:53What's going on, Anissa?
19:54It's going to be the pop-up.
19:55So we both have mesh.
19:56Their looks are looking a little all over the place.
19:59I think that we're going to take this one home.
20:01I look at the other team.
20:03It's like crickets in that side of the room.
20:05No one's really talking to each other.
20:07And here we are, like, you know, blah, blah, blah.
20:09And then at night, she just puts a glove on, honey.
20:13Okay, this, do this.
20:14Like, we're helping each other.
20:16Yes.
20:17Yes.
20:18Ethan, I hate to tell you, but you will be the losing team.
20:22Are you ready?
20:23Let's go.
20:24Models, let's go.
20:25Woo!
20:27This very cool jacket with a pleated skirt.
20:35That's the top?
20:37I think so.
20:37So how does one do anything athletic in that top?
20:43Sean.
20:46I think I'm going to hit eating it up, and it's just like, yeah, no.
20:50Are we playing tennis where you tie your arms up?
20:54If I don't come through with this bra, like, I feel like the whole look is going to go kaput.
21:00So different when I design on paper and design on you.
21:03You trend this pleated skirt.
21:05It's really short.
21:06I thought it was a mistake, but it's not a mistake.
21:11Because mama, I'm a slut.
21:13You decided?
21:15Yeah, yeah.
21:15I'm going to do some nice shorts and then the cargo pockets.
21:20That shoe?
21:21Are you nuts?
21:22What kind of shoe?
21:23Blah.
21:23Whoa, what?
21:25Nothing, I ain't something.
21:27That tic-tac shoe.
21:28You have no side seam.
21:32Mm-mm.
21:33There's no side seam.
21:34Interesting.
21:35You can do that.
21:37Look at her butt.
21:38That's crazy.
21:40These pants are styled after a Japanese hakama pant where there aren't really side seams and all of the volume is put into pleats across the back.
21:51Since we're paying homage to my Japanese ancestress, it's really important for me to nail this look that I make.
21:59And I am feeling the pressure.
22:04Bye, models.
22:05Thank you so much.
22:08Hello?
22:09Oh, I have to take this.
22:09Sorry.
22:10You're going to be laughing when that little hem falls out.
22:13I'm going to tear it up.
22:14I'm feeling really good about my look.
22:17But what if your team doesn't?
22:19But after the model fitting, I'm feeling a little worried about my team.
22:22Alex has these grand ideas, but she is running out of time.
22:26And Angelo's work is looking a little simple.
22:29If Jesus kills it, then I lost a valuable player.
22:33I hope that I made the right decision.
22:34All right, designers, send your models to the Ulta Beauty Salon.
22:47We got three hours to finish up these looks and send these girls down the runway.
22:52It's crunch time.
22:53Glowy, dewy kind of thing.
22:54I love it.
22:55But maybe something that's been, like, smudged a little bit.
22:58That's it right there.
22:59Bye.
23:00Bye, everybody.
23:01Y'all have fun.
23:02Until next time.
23:03Is there, um, a leader this time?
23:06No, because I think we don't want to have a leader, technically, because we don't want to blame someone.
23:11The last team challenge, I think Jesus was acting as the leader because he talked a lot.
23:19But this time, we don't have a leader, so it's a mess.
23:23All right, five minutes, you guys.
23:25Five minutes, we're leaving this room.
23:27That's the back of the pants?
23:30Mm-hmm.
23:30Okay.
23:31Well, I know I ain't in the pants.
23:34I'm worried about Alex.
23:35She's looking not finished.
23:37Mm-hmm.
23:38Mm-hmm.
23:39Child.
23:40I mean, I got, what, how many minutes?
23:42I am really concerned with how the top is turning out and the cut of the pant.
23:47Are there pockets?
23:48No.
23:49No.
23:50All right.
23:50But there's no more time and nothing else to do about it.
23:54All right, designers, that's it.
23:57That's time.
23:58All right.
23:58All right.
23:58All right.
23:59Let's meet our judges.
23:59CFDA award-winning stylist and image architect, Laura.
24:04Hey, Laura.
24:05Hey, Laura.
24:05Hello, designers.
24:06Welcome to the runway.
24:07As you know, in fashion, one day you're in and the next day, you're out.
24:12For this challenge, we asked you to create a cohesive, activewear collection for Kalia that
24:17goes from workout to weekend.
24:19You worked in teams and you had only one day to create your collection.
24:23All right.
24:24Let's meet our judges.
24:24CFDA award-winning stylist and image architect, Laura Roach.
24:29Hey, Laura.
24:31Editor-in-chief of Elle magazine, Nina Garcia.
24:34Woo!
24:36And our guest judge and co-owner of the fashion line, favorite daughter, Sarah Foster.
24:41Woo!
24:42I'm so excited to see Miss Sarah Foster.
24:45She has a really good head on her shoulders around how to make a woman feel beautiful and
24:49comfortable in the clothes.
24:50She's gorgeous.
24:51Okay, we're ready.
24:52Let's start the show.
24:53It's going to be flaming hot.
24:57I wish I had a marshmallow.
24:59This has got flammable hair now.
25:00Wait a minute.
25:00I told you it was going to be hot, and I was not talking about Hans and Franz.
25:12Let's go.
25:14Look at us now.
25:15I do feel like I have successfully captured the essence of this challenge with creating
25:21something that goes from workout to weekend, with the pin tucking, the silhouette.
25:25The styling was really good, and I'm feeling really confident.
25:29Oh, she's a professional.
25:30You know, you know.
25:33Look at us now.
25:35I'm very proud of this look.
25:36My look looks very modern, sexy, and fun.
25:40And the red line on the jacket is everything.
25:43That is a short skirt, but she's got some good legs.
25:47Look at us now.
25:48Oh, baby on out, here I come.
25:52I'm just looking at the outfit.
25:54It's not as bad as I expected it to be, but I know what's going on on the inside.
26:03Bessie.
26:04Bessie.
26:05I'm not happy about it.
26:07It could have been worse.
26:08It could have also been better.
26:10I like that.
26:10I would wear that.
26:12You're very generous.
26:13Oh, no.
26:14Oh, no.
26:14With my athleisure look, I'm feeling pretty satisfied.
26:21I like it.
26:22I think it's cute.
26:23It's nothing, like, really shocking.
26:26But I am just elated that the athleisure challenge is in the past.
26:30She's got it.
26:31This is what it means to have greatness.
26:34Stepping out, I ain't checking out.
26:36She looks amazing.
26:37I've worked hard to achieve that details, that those string woven by hand, I cut all those
26:44clothes individually.
26:45It takes a lot of work to create that textile.
26:47I want to make sure that every piece that I make is a labor of love.
26:52I don't get that curly hair with that.
26:57With that side fin, it's flowing down the runway.
27:00It's got movement.
27:02Oh, it looks so good.
27:05I would wear that now.
27:06I may have slayed a little bit too hard this week, so I'm hoping that it can pull this team
27:11through to the wind.
27:14This look, it's very universal.
27:20This girl can do Pilates and then put some heels on, put a jacket on, and go have a cocktail
27:25with the girl for the same night.
27:27I'm proud of myself.
27:28It would mean a lot to win this challenge and have that collab with Leah.
27:31Coming for the crowd, I'ma set it down.
27:33Do it like this, do it like, do it like, do it like this.
27:37I'm happy with how this look turned out.
27:40I feel like it's me, and I'm starting to be more confident in what I'm designing and
27:45believe whatever I'm creating is good.
27:47Do it like this.
27:48I see my look coming down the runway, and I'm thinking, okay, yes.
27:55Even though I didn't choose this fabric, I was able to be a team player, and I think
28:01that she looks fabulous.
28:02I love the drama.
28:03This is the future.
28:04You better own it.
28:06I nailed it.
28:07Oh, oh, my God.
28:10This is the moment.
28:11Oh.
28:11It records.
28:13They're going to watch me now.
28:15Well, we know who that is.
28:16Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha.
28:19My model is looking so everything.
28:23And then she unzipsed this jacket,
28:25and it's just like, oh, welcome to the party.
28:27Bring out the tatas!
28:29I took a risk with almost recreating my previous look,
28:33and I hope this paid off.
28:41That's my girl.
28:42Wow, like, I'm just literally getting chills.
28:45The way she's walking, the way that the pants are moving,
28:47how powerful she looks.
28:49I'm feeling great.
28:51I could definitely see this in stores
28:53and see a lot of people wanting these pants,
28:55wanting this bomber, even the bag.
28:57I love this.
28:59Our team, everything was executed beautifully,
29:02and I think that that showed on the runway.
29:03We did good, guys.
29:05We did it.
29:06I am not worried about myself,
29:08but it's hard to tell, you know, it's two different vibes.
29:11So I hope that the switch doesn't come back
29:14to bite me in the butt.
29:19Hello, hello, hello.
29:21Bravo.
29:22That was a show worthy of fire.
29:24Congrats to all of you.
29:26We have scored your designs,
29:28and one house ran circles around the other.
29:30Oh, boy.
29:31America.
29:34Antonio.
29:34Joan.
29:35Yes.
29:36Jose.
29:36Yes.
29:37Jose.
29:37Yes.
29:38Jesus.
29:39And Belania.
29:40Yes.
29:42You are the winning house.
29:44Oh, boy.
29:45Wait, wait, wait.
29:46Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
29:47Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
29:48I told you.
29:49Alex, Angelo, Madeline, Eugene, BJ, and Ethan.
29:58You are our least favorite collection.
30:01Damn.
30:03We're going to talk to you later, and you can leave the runway.
30:06Damn it.
30:08My squad being in the bottom, it's unfortunate.
30:11I don't know what happened.
30:15I don't get it.
30:16We just clearly took two different directions, team-wise.
30:21Chips fall where they may, right?
30:23This challenge meant a lot to me.
30:25I just got in my head.
30:28I just hope that I get to stay.
30:33Congratulations.
30:34What we really liked about your collection
30:36is that there was a cohesion.
30:38Thank you so much.
30:39All right, we would like to talk to the designers
30:41that were our three favorite looks.
30:43And that is you, Joseph.
30:45Bolania.
30:46Yeah.
30:48And you, Jesus.
30:49Thank you, Jesus.
30:50So that means Joan.
30:51Yes.
30:52And Antonio, you're safe.
30:54But I do have to tell you, Antonio,
30:57we all thought that yours was our least favorite
31:00in the winning team.
31:04Thank you so much.
31:05You can leave the runway.
31:06Nice meeting you guys.
31:07Bye.
31:07My brother's on the top again for the second week.
31:10I thought my look was really good.
31:11I want to be on top of the socks.
31:14So I am just ready to prove these judges wrong.
31:17All right, let's bring out your models.
31:20Come on, girls.
31:22Yes.
31:23What's up, Oscar?
31:24Oh, we did it.
31:25We're going to start with the designer
31:26where we didn't have to guess a whole lot who made it.
31:29And that is Joseph.
31:31Without a doubt, when we saw her walk down the runway,
31:34we knew it was you.
31:35And I think she could actually work out in this
31:37because of her little shorts under.
31:38Oh, surprise, surprise.
31:40Yay.
31:42And she could throw on a pump or a heel
31:44and go straight to the weekend, which that was the challenge.
31:47Thank you so much.
31:48I would wear that jacket to the gym,
31:50but then I'd also wear it to dinner that night
31:52with a pair of jeans.
31:53I don't, I'm into you.
31:54I don't know how else I can say it.
31:56I mean, I'm just into all of it.
31:57I like your look too.
31:58I like her vibe.
31:59It stands out.
32:00It's memorable.
32:01To me, she's badass and flirty at the same time.
32:04Thank you, Joseph.
32:06Thank you so much, everyone.
32:08All right, Belania, you're next.
32:09Oh, Lauren.
32:10I really love the work that you did on this top.
32:14I think it's really beautiful.
32:15I love all the detail that you made with the pockets, correct?
32:22And I love the fact that you considered an option.
32:25She can be resurred with the turtleneck
32:28and she can be super sexy without it.
32:30Without, yep.
32:31I mean, I like that fabric, as you can see.
32:34The detail of the skirt is really cool,
32:37and it's a flattering waistband.
32:39Waistbands can go very unflattering very easily.
32:43Whatever it is, I like it.
32:46All right, that leaves us with Jesus.
32:48Jesus, I have to say this.
32:50You have done something that a lot of people cannot do,
32:55and that is to shut me up.
32:57Wow.
32:58I was so tough on you on the runway,
33:00and you were in the winning group,
33:02and I was still tough on you on the runway.
33:04I actually hated Shaluk.
33:05She doesn't look cool.
33:06She doesn't look young.
33:07I think this is so versatile.
33:09I think that a girl could really work out with this.
33:12And sellable, too.
33:13Yeah, work out with it, and then wear it out on the weekend.
33:17I would wear those pants in a heartbeat.
33:19The pant turns into a straight-leg pant.
33:22She could wear it like this.
33:23I mean, she could open it up a little.
33:25Well done on that.
33:26That's great.
33:27Fabulous.
33:28Chic and effortless.
33:30What I also love is the detail,
33:33the fact that you thought about the zipper on the side.
33:36Can you turn around?
33:37And that little pocket.
33:38The little pocket with that little black detail.
33:42Those details all matter, right?
33:45Yeah, thank you, Nina.
33:46I want to be this girl that would wear this.
33:48Thank you so much.
33:50But now is the moment of truth.
33:54They can only be one winner.
33:58And, Jesus, it's you.
34:00You were our favorite look.
34:01Congratulations.
34:02Oh, he's crying.
34:04Don't be hiding those tears.
34:05I want to see them.
34:08Those are tears of joy.
34:10Yeah.
34:11Not only are you the winner.
34:12That's crazy.
34:14But that also means that Kalia will
34:16also produce and sell your look.
34:18And I'm going to buy it.
34:18Wow.
34:19Me too.
34:20I love it.
34:20Congratulations.
34:21We're all going to wear it.
34:22We're all going to wear it.
34:23Wow.
34:24Thank you guys so much.
34:25All right.
34:26You can leave the runway.
34:28Oh, my gosh.
34:28We did it.
34:29Ethan, you got rid of me.
34:31And I prove you wrong.
34:33I truly believe that if I would have stayed in his team,
34:36we would have won again.
34:38I won.
34:39When I came on Project Runway 15 years ago, I was so young.
34:47I wasn't really out of the closet at that time.
34:50And I didn't know who I was as a designer.
34:52And now coming back, I am a loud, gay, queer boy.
34:56So to win the challenge and do this collab with Kalia,
34:59it just reassured my purpose of why I'm here,
35:02to create really amazing stuff and to be on top.
35:10Unfortunately, you were our least favorite collection.
35:15Ethan, your team you.
35:22Unfortunately, you were our least favorite collection.
35:25Ethan, your team you.
35:28Ethan, tell us, why do you think you guys are up here?
35:33Yeah, I think it's, I think we did a great job.
35:37I think you did a great job.
35:40Oh.
35:41You had my favorite piece.
35:43I agree.
35:44So modern.
35:46Do you regret switching one person out?
35:48I, I don't want to say I shot myself in the foot because I love our team.
35:54I don't believe you.
35:55I think you knew that you had a great look,
35:58and you didn't give a about the other people on the team.
36:03Damn.
36:04All right, Alex, Angelo, and BJ, you are our least favorite looks.
36:09That means Eugene, Ethan, and Madeline.
36:12You're safe.
36:13You can leave the runway.
36:20All right, BJ, let's start with you.
36:22Let's start with the positives, because there is a positive here.
36:25The silhouette, I think, is nice.
36:26I like the length.
36:27I like that it's not a midi, and it's not a mini.
36:29I think that's versatile.
36:31A lot of people can wear that.
36:32It's just really, that's the, that's all I liked about it.
36:34You guys like the ties?
36:35Hey, dangling?
36:36I love the ties.
36:37I think it kind of looks like a tampon.
36:39I think, oh.
36:41I mean, this is, this is unwearable.
36:43I also don't understand this girl.
36:45I think the work that you've done, I think it's quite beautiful.
36:48But it doesn't scream active wear to me at all.
36:51Like, I don't get it.
36:52That's the problem.
36:52That's the problem, yeah.
36:53You needed to make this a top, a pair of black leggings,
36:59and call it a day, and you would have had a hit.
37:03This didn't need to be a cocktail dress.
37:05Out of context.
37:07All right, Angelo, let's hear about your look.
37:10I designed men's street wear, so I just wanted to stay true to myself.
37:13I think where you have to be careful, Angelo, is that it felt to me a little safe and boring.
37:22You really need to bring in a sense of drama.
37:26Step it up.
37:27Listen, I'm a basic bitch.
37:28So I love sweats.
37:30I think this is cool.
37:31I like this.
37:32It's different.
37:33You know what I mean?
37:34It's not for me.
37:35But I appreciate that you added that detail on sweats.
37:37I think it's really well made.
37:39It's just that there was no showmanship to it.
37:41Yeah.
37:42You know, I think that's where you fell flat.
37:44Okay, thank you.
37:45All right, Alex, tell us about your look.
37:48So quite a few of my pieces are also inspired by kimonos.
37:51I incorporate into the way that I create different pieces.
37:55Is that part of your heritage, the kimono?
37:57Yes, my grandmother was Japanese.
37:59Okay.
38:00So I go to the sauna a lot, and I love a corset.
38:03I don't care what the situation is.
38:05At the sauna.
38:06Well, obviously, you're not going to wear a corset in the sauna, but post-sauna, you can...
38:11But you gave her a corset.
38:13She doesn't look comfortable at all.
38:14She can't work out in this.
38:17Guys, the story has to match.
38:19You cannot piss on me and tell me it's raining.
38:22I'm sorry.
38:22Okay, well, the corset, you're right.
38:24But the pant and the sweater top, I did like.
38:27I liked the movement coming down the runway.
38:29I don't know what it was coming down.
38:30I was like, oh, it looks kind of like Laura Piana vibes.
38:32Laura Piana vibes.
38:34Come on, guys.
38:35Turn around, please.
38:36No.
38:37Do you see the seam of the pant when she turns around?
38:41There's the puckering.
38:42Yeah, it is a struggle in the back.
38:44There's a little bit of a problem with this bib that falls from the corset.
38:49I think there's too many ideas put in.
38:51The flap in the front, the flaps down the arms.
38:52The flap on the sleeve.
38:53She's playing homage to her heritage and, you know.
38:55Yes, I love that.
38:56But I don't see that in the look at all.
38:58No.
39:00All right.
39:00There's a lot for us to talk about.
39:02You can leave the runway.
39:09Let's talk about Angelo.
39:10It is a tough competition to be in if you're that much of a minimalist.
39:14Because this is a show and you're competing with people that are going to razzle-dazzle.
39:19You have to remember you are in a competition.
39:22You have to remember that.
39:23Give us a show.
39:27Vijay's look was actually really good.
39:29I hated it.
39:30The ties were insane.
39:32I thought the dress was really well made.
39:35It was just out of context.
39:36Yes, I would buy that.
39:37It was the wrong story.
39:38The sneakers with it is for me the worst.
39:40Yeah.
39:41She has to really watch out for her styling because I don't think she's got it together.
39:47And it's, as we all know, a full polish look that has to come down.
39:51Yeah.
39:51It may not be at leisure wear, but I hope that the judges will appreciate the hard work
39:58that they put in that dress.
39:59Alexis was an eyesore.
40:01The execution was really poor.
40:03And frankly, I also thought her styling was bad.
40:06Yeah.
40:07That is a top.
40:08I could work with that, like with jeans.
40:10And I literally can't work with any of it.
40:13I do not want to be part of a judging panel where everybody gets a trophy.
40:17It was really bad.
40:19It was bad.
40:19I agree.
40:21I'm not ready to go home this early in the game.
40:23I want my daughter to see her dad give it his all to achieve the dream of becoming
40:29the next big thing in fashion.
40:31It has been so much fun.
40:33I'm so pissed though.
40:36It's disappointing knowing what you have to offer and not doing that.
40:42I just hope that I have the chance to show people what I bring to the table as a creative.
40:48Oh, God.
40:49My girl, Alex.
40:53She's in the bottom.
40:54I wonder if things would have been different if I kept Jesus and next to BJ.
40:59Maybe I should have been more of a leader.
41:02There's a part of me that's thinking,
41:04this is because of me.
41:05One mistake can send you home.
41:12Roger Crenwe is, I know it's going to change my life for the better.
41:17I just hope that the judges will give me another chance.
41:23Next time on Project Runway.
41:24I think we're going to blow it up.
41:26Ethan and Jesus, you'll be picking your houses.
41:30I always wanted to start my own house.
41:32Each house must show that boring can be brilliant.
41:36Sofia Vergara will wear the winning look.
41:38Woo!
41:40What is all that?
41:42Fringe?
41:43Oh, Lord.
41:45Wait, you have nothing to try on.
41:46Oh, no.
41:47Ethan, your team has no clothes.
41:50It's super sexy.
41:52It was perfect for me.
41:54I'm in shock, actually.
41:56I did not come to work to look at a bunch of ugly clothes.
41:59I am pissed off.
