00:01Previously on Project Runway.
00:03To decide which three of you will be moving forward.
00:06We're giving you one more challenge.
00:07We were all pissed.
00:09I'm freaking out because I see all the work I have to do,
00:11and I'm looking at the time, and it's not adding up.
00:14I was thinking about, like, hand-sewing this yarn.
00:16Oh!
00:18Leanne, Kenley, you will compete at New York Fashion Week.
00:30Thank you so much.
00:32I certainly think I have a huge chance of winning.
00:36I would not want to be the bride.
00:37I would not want to wear this dress.
00:39It's a little garish.
00:41Really?
00:42Jerelle.
00:43Jerelle.
00:48The winner of Project Runway will receive a 2009 Saturn Vue Hybrid,
00:54an opportunity to sell their line on bluefly.com,
00:57and $100,000 to start their own line,
01:00furnished by Tresemme Professional Hair Care.
01:03This is Project Runway.
01:05We're mourning this morning because my Jerelle is gone.
01:18It was between Jerelle and I to go home, and it was him,
01:21and my heart breaks for him.
01:23It really does.
01:24Kenley, we gotta go.
01:26It's a runway first to have all three women in the finale,
01:30and it's pretty awesome, but I'm gonna be a fighter
01:34until I'm the last one standing on that stage.
01:38Oh, Ronnie?
01:40Yeah, yeah, we're ready.
01:42Door's open.
01:43Watch for Ronnie.
01:45Good morning, everyone.
01:57Good morning.
01:58And congratulations to our final three.
02:01I am so proud of you all.
02:03I have two important announcements to make.
02:05The first is the runway show at Bryan Park.
02:09You will each be presenting ten looks.
02:12So you'll need to edit two before the show.
02:15All right.
02:16And I am sending you to do model casting right now, okay?
02:22So I'm disappearing, and so are you.
02:24All right?
02:25Choose wisely.
02:27Hey, thanks.
02:28Go get some models.
02:30Let's not fight.
02:31Let's go get the right girl for the right outfit.
02:35I need girls with hair, because I'm trying to do these big Asian buns.
02:50No, I called her!
02:54That's tall.
02:56Almost six foot.
02:58Oh, I got her.
02:59I got her.
03:00I think I might go for that alien looking girl.
03:04I kind of like that alien-ish look.
03:07She's soft, too, but your stuff is really soft.
03:11It's really annoying when Kenley is telling me which models I should pick.
03:16Focus on your own models.
03:17We all know who you are!
03:19Let's see that walk of yours.
03:25Are you guys going to fight over her?
03:27Oh.
03:28I'm going to try to get her.
03:29She better not act off or anything.
03:31I'm going to stop.
03:33Hey, everybody.
03:34Hello.
03:35I'm here to get a sense of your collections.
03:36Oh.
03:37You ready for me, Kenley?
03:38Yeah.
03:39I'm just deciding what pieces to get rid of.
03:40Yeah, because you go from 12 to 10.
03:41I know.
03:42Let's talk about it look by look.
03:43This is kind of like the Victorian, kind of queen, structured.
03:46I guess I'm perplexed how this rope strangles the organic nature of what's happening here.
03:53For me, it begs the question, why this rope at all?
03:54It looks arbitrary.
03:55It looks contrived.
03:56I have to disagree with that.
03:57I'm sorry.
03:58All right.
03:59All right.
04:00All right.
04:01All right.
04:02All right.
04:03All right.
04:04All right.
04:05Tim doesn't like the rope.
04:06I do.
04:07So I'm leaving it.
04:08My decisions are final and I'm done with it.
04:10Your signature model is?
04:11Tapacio is wearing the wedding dress.
04:12So you know that means if this goes before the judges back at Parsons.
04:15Yeah, which they loved it.
04:16So I'm not worried about it.
04:17Is that your interpretation from yesterday?
04:18That wasn't yours?
04:19No.
04:20What was it then?
04:21I knew that they marveled at your execution, but...
04:22That they couldn't do it.
04:23That they couldn't do it.
04:24I'm sorry.
04:25All right.
04:26I'm sorry.
04:27All right.
04:28All right.
04:29All right.
04:30Tim doesn't like the rope.
04:31I do.
04:32So I'm leaving it.
04:33My decisions are final and I'm done with it.
04:34Your signature model is?
04:35Tapacio is wearing the wedding dress.
04:36So you know that means if this goes before the judges back at Parsons.
04:39Yeah, which they loved it, so I'm not worried about it.
04:42Is that your interpretation from yesterday?
04:44Mm-hmm.
04:45But...
04:46That they called me a knockoff?
04:47Yeah.
04:48Well, they've done that four times to me already.
04:49And I'm sick of it.
04:50It's insulting.
04:51And I did not take my work from anyone else.
04:54All right.
04:55Just own responsibility for the decision.
04:57All right.
04:58Thanks.
04:59Thank you, Kenley.
05:03Pato.
05:04Hi.
05:05Hi.
05:06So this is 11 looks?
05:09What is that one?
05:1011.
05:11So what goes?
05:13This.
05:14Oh, you're not counting the bridesmaid dress.
05:16Oh, okay.
05:17Heidi says she wouldn't be caught dead in the bridesmaid dress or the wedding dress, but I love my wedding dress.
05:24This is where editing becomes very, very challenging.
05:26Yeah, it does.
05:27It worries me.
05:28You think I should chuck it?
05:29I wouldn't dream of telling you.
05:31I have to make some hard decisions.
05:34Do I keep my wedding dress and just be hard-headed and say, you know what, I love it, I don't care if you like it.
05:39I think at the end of the day, we just have to do things that we just love and feel in our gut and just take it.
05:44I mean, I have to stand by this collection and love it.
05:46You have to just think about this.
05:49Thank you, Kato.
05:51Leanne, how are you?
05:52Hi, Tim.
05:53I'm good.
05:54So what do you envision going before the judges?
05:57I just can't decide which one.
06:00And I still have another piece to edit out.
06:03My least favorite, it's this with a pair of pants that still needs some more finishing.
06:09It's my only pair of pants that I have in the collection.
06:13I mean, I want to encourage you to have a pants.
06:16Yeah, they need more work.
06:19There's a lot left for me to do and a lot left for me to figure out.
06:22It needs to be perfect.
06:23And, you know, I've got some more work to do in order to get it perfect.
06:27Thank you, Leanne.
06:29Um, Tim, I could do the wedding dress last in my runway show as long as Tapacio's not wearing it.
06:36All right, so I'll do that.
06:38And it could be any look and any order in the show.
06:41I'm going to switch it.
06:44Tim has a point.
06:46If I were a judge, I wouldn't want to be presented with the same exact thing.
06:50So Tapacio, my muse model, isn't going to be wearing the wedding dress.
06:56Work hard. I know you will.
06:57Thanks, Tim.
06:58Bye.
06:59You're going to put your wedding dress in there?
07:00Yeah.
07:01I don't give an F what they say about.
07:02Well, I mean, they left yours overall.
07:03Not so much of here.
07:04I do decide to check the wedding dress.
07:05The judges felt it was over-designed.
07:06It's the one, though, drama.
07:07Along with the wedding dress.
07:08I decided I'm taking two dresses out of the collection because I've listened to what they've said about over-designing.
07:09I don't want to be in that conversation with Nina and Heidi again.
07:11So I'm going to make two new looks.
07:12So I'm going to make two new looks.
07:13I think it's insane.
07:14I think it's insane that she is making two new pieces for her line.
07:18Kelly, since you're almost done, why don't you whip up my other dress for me?
07:20Oh.
07:21Come on.
07:22Come on.
07:23Yeah, pal.
07:24Make it happen.
07:25I decided I'm taking two dresses out of the collection
07:27because I've listened to what they've said about over-designing.
07:31I don't want to be in that conversation with Nina and Heidi again.
07:34So I'm going to make two new looks.
07:37I think it's insane that she is making two new pieces for her line.
07:44Kelly, since you're almost done, why don't you whip up my other dress for me?
07:49Come on. Be a pal. Make it happen.
07:55We're heading over to meet with Collier Strong from L'Oreal to discuss our makeup looks.
08:09I don't want my runway makeup getting lost in translation.
08:13Although I had me back there doing makeup.
08:16All right, you guys. It's time to go. I'm waiting.
08:19Ketel, you ready?
08:19Yeah. I figured I'd pick my hair.
08:21Oh, I like that dress. It goes with your line.
08:25Hey.
08:26Logan.
08:27Tell me the inspiration.
08:29Inspiration for my line is definitely nature.
08:33So a really earth tone eye.
08:35The girls I've picked have a variety of different nationalities.
08:38So it's really important to me that everyone looks consistent.
08:41I like where you're going with that.
08:43I'm talking cherry red lips, almost pink lips.
08:46I wanted something really fresh and I want the models to all look like porcelain dolls.
08:52Thank you, Collier.
08:54My inspiration is Waves.
08:57It's got the colors of the ocean.
08:59I want something looking really modern.
09:01That's what my collection is all about.
09:03I think this will look great.
09:05Yeah, I really like that.
09:10I'm ready. I'm waiting.
09:12Today, we're going to fit our models and I'm really excited about it because I just want to finalize everything.
09:18It's one girl after another, after another, after another, after another.
09:25This one.
09:26It's just chaos.
09:28We need like traffic directors.
09:31That looks great.
09:32I've added more work to my load and Leanne and Ken Lee.
09:35So I'm just saying like secret prayers that I don't have to do a lot of alterations on my clothes for my model fittings.
09:42The one new dress is halfway done.
09:45By the end of the day, I hope I finish my collection.
09:47Over here.
09:48How are you?
09:49Give me a hug.
09:50Oh, that looks beautiful on you.
09:53Leanne doesn't know how to use colors.
09:55I think it's a little boring.
09:57Oh, that looks cool.
09:59Yes.
10:00Ken Lee's line looks really holly hobby.
10:03It's just like, you know, somebody's child has been like painting all over Ken Lee's collection.
10:10It looks really, really amateurish.
10:13You gotta wear that.
10:14It looks so good on you.
10:19Thank you, Dominica.
10:20You look beautiful.
10:21Just don't be late, okay?
10:25See you soon.
10:26I'm done my first dress, but I still have so much work to do.
10:29I have to make one more look.
10:30I'm panicking right now because I see all the work I have to do, and I don't know if it's going to get done.
10:37I came into this to get to Bryant Park to show at Fashion Week, and I'm not leaving without a fight.
10:42I want this more than anything.
10:50Coming up on Project Runway.
10:52Oh, this looks...
10:54If they're not impeccably made, you're going to get out.
11:03Hello.
11:03Hello, Jeannie.
11:05We're going to the trustmate consultation, and I know exactly what I want to do with the hair.
11:10So she's going to wear, like, a top hat.
11:12Nice and smooth, but loose.
11:14Yeah.
11:15I like the wave up and then the wave here.
11:18I think it's perfect.
11:20No.
11:21Seriously.
11:22Well, this is the look I'm going for for my girls.
11:24I want it to have two sizes of the buns.
11:27We'll have the second bun, like, really big.
11:30That looks really hot, actually.
11:31Awesome.
11:32I like it.
11:33I definitely want it really clean.
11:35Having it come up into kind of like a ponytail at the middle, kind of like a double.
11:40Yeah.
11:41Yeah.
11:42I like it.
11:43Thank you so much.
11:45It is the last work day.
11:49I could have used one more work day.
11:56It's very risky doing two new looks, but I don't want to not win and be like, woulda,
12:01shoulda, coulda.
12:02Hi.
12:03Thank you for coming.
12:04You're having me.
12:05All right.
12:06I'm going to just put this right on you.
12:08We all have just a ton of work left to do.
12:11If you're putting on buttons and doing little alterations and closures, it's going to be
12:15a crazy day.
12:16I hope this fits her coming in.
12:18It works.
12:19Hey.
12:20How are you?
12:21I'm going to go ahead and get you in there.
12:22I just want to make sure it all works out.
12:23You can tell Cateau's a little stressed out.
12:24She is making two new pieces for her line.
12:25And if they're not going to be impeccably made, you're going to get out.
12:29Cool.
12:30Yeah, that looks good.
12:31Thank you so much for coming in today, checking everything.
12:33I'm feeling okay that I might get everything done before midnight tonight.
12:34Thank God Jesus.
12:41Ow.
12:44Cool, yeah, that looks good.
12:45Thank you so much for coming in today, checking everything.
12:49I'm feeling okay that I might get everything done
12:52before midnight tonight.
12:54Thank God, Jesus.
13:02Come on, Sophie.
13:03Is it her?
13:04What's her name?
13:05Sophie.
13:06Thank you so much for coming.
13:08No worries.
13:10Oh no, go poop on Kenley's and Kato's collection now.
13:20Do you ever keep that dog away from my .
13:23Tia, she goes over and tries to pick up the poop
13:27while she's still wearing the evening gown
13:29and I'm just like, just careful, don't get it on the gown.
13:32I can't even imagine explaining that to the judges
13:35that there's dog crap on the evening gown.
13:38Say bye.
13:39Bye, Sophie.
13:40Played drum and loads in public.
13:42Yeah.
13:42She's good.
13:54Hi, everybody.
13:55Hi, Tim.
13:56Hi, Tim.
13:56I know you're all completely entrenched in this, but I want you
13:59to gather round because it's our last gather round.
14:02All right, everybody, just first of all, some orders of business.
14:08Tomorrow's sequence on the runway will be Kenley, Kato, Leanne.
14:17And you are going to Bryant Park.
14:20You're going to be on the biggest fashion stage in the world.
14:25And I am just so incredibly proud.
14:28And whatever the outcome is tomorrow, the outcome is.
14:32Let's have a hug.
14:33All right, everybody.
14:34This is the biggest day of my life.
14:38I'm about to show the world who I am as a designer.
14:43Last year, I snuck into the tent, so, and got kicked out right away.
14:48But it is an amazing feeling that I'm actually going to show at Bryant Park.
15:06I waited for this moment for so long.
15:10The whole world is really going to see us today as our coming out ceremony.
15:17I do feel like I deserve to win that I'm just gonna go in there and show what I show and know that what I do
15:22None of these girls can do because I'm cut down
15:38I have made it to Bryant Park
15:40It's been a dream of mine since I was 12 years old and I'm gonna show my collection here this morning
15:47It's a long runway
15:57My parents are gonna be here and I can't wait, you know my parents will be able to see how hard I've been working
16:05These past three years where they haven't been really a part of my life at all
16:11My dad had a lot of influence in my collection and I think he's gonna think that's rad as hell and love it
16:20The girls made it. Yeah
16:23It's amazing. It's like wow my god. I'm actually here. I'm showing in the tent not just a little salon with a big tent
16:29Shine in your moment ladies
16:31Hi
16:42Are you my helper?
16:44I get a team of young students who are gonna be helping me today
16:49I'm finishing this last dress. They're getting everything together. Thanks guys so much. I don't need anything now
16:55But I'll let you guys know
16:58No one touches my clothes. They don't know how to iron painted fabric. I'm the only one that does that
17:04I want a round of them big because it needs to have that impact when it comes out
17:24Are any of my models here?
17:27Beauty
17:29I
17:31Don't know the tops limp. It's also a bit big on her now whereas before it fit her really well
17:50It's kind of falling off of her. This is gonna go back before the judges as well. I know worries me
17:56I think I might have to switch her into that long blue gown. You do what you have to do
18:02I just had to put her in the gown
18:04It was a little larger on her
18:06So I had to tuck it up in the back and also put some double stick tape to make sure that doesn't fall down
18:12Fuck in to passio
18:18I'm gonna give
18:26Looking at my collection lined up. I love it. I'm glad I added these two pieces
18:36one is a short look on Amanda and
18:39The other is my long piece on the lease. I see the color story. I see how the pieces relate to each other
18:46Visually is beautiful
18:48I think it's absolutely beautiful. I think my girls look amazing. I think I'm gonna win this
19:02I'm in awe. I'm really proud of what I've accomplished. I am utterly exhausted
19:08But my heart is pounding
19:10This is it. This is my big moment
19:12Coming up on Project Runway
19:17Coming up on Project Runway
19:36Welcome
19:38Today is our big finale and we're all so excited especially our designers backstage that worked so hard to get to this point to show at New York Fashion Week
19:54So I would like to introduce the judges Nina Garcia
20:00Michael Cole
20:02And as you all can see there's an empty chair there and I have to tell you that Jennifer
20:11Lopez was going to be our guest judge and she had a foot injury so unfortunately she's not here today
20:18We're all very very sad. So who's gonna be our guest judge today? I
20:23Wonder
20:24Let's see who it is
20:29It's Tim Gunn!
20:32Oh
20:35Are you kidding?
20:36Oh my god
20:39Okay, maybe I should have improved my attitude
20:43Well, this is a Project Runway first
20:46And I'm happy to fill in at the last minute and I promise everyone I will be
20:50Impartial and unbiased and put my relationship with the designers on a metaphorical shelf
20:56All right, so Heidi as you would say
21:00Let's start the show
21:02Thank you
21:05Thank you
21:05Thank you
21:06Thank you
21:10Yay!
21:13Whoa, this is so exciting
21:16Wow, I was really inspired just with painting and fantasy things, Alice in Wonderland
21:22And I made my dream wardrobe
21:25So I love my family. Thank you for your support
21:28Enjoy
21:29Thank you
21:33Thank you
21:36Is
21:42a
21:44despite
21:45arm
21:46Everything just looked beautiful and better than I could even imagine.
22:12I have a big, bright color palette and I wanted to do every piece dramatic and unique.
22:22I have something different to show and something that a lot of people are going to want to wear
22:26at the same time.
22:29I'm feeling really good and really proud.
22:42I'm feeling really good and really proud.
24:58I'm true to who I am as an African woman, so I want people to look at my clothes and see those little inspirations and love it, too, and appreciate it.
25:07I just see a great collection on great girls.
25:10I can stand up for it, and I love it.
25:42I can stand up for it, too, and I love it.
27:13This is my beautiful collection.
27:16I've lost millions of hours of sleep over, and I am in love with it, and I hope that all of you love it as well, and enjoy.
27:28I was truly inspired in this collection.
27:33I was truly inspired in this collection, and I'm really, really, really proud of what I have accomplished.
27:46All of this exhaustion and stress, it is all worth it for those three minutes of seeing my models come down the runway.
28:06It's priceless.
28:11It's the feeling of a lifetime.
28:15Thank you for all the way.
28:16Audience Question.
30:06Thank you so much.
30:07I especially love Kato's.
30:08I think it was just beautiful.
30:10Buy all of my clothes so I can pay my rent next month.
30:15I think the appearance looked elegant, mature, and something that could be in LMAX.
30:20I think everyone, you know, that has good taste liked it, so.
30:25I'm really rooting for Kenley because of her use of colors.
30:29I really did respond very much to Kenley's design.
30:33I instantly smiled when Kato's collection came out and I believe in her.
30:37I think she's gonna be great.
30:38It's so, it was amazing.
30:39Like, I'm so proud of all of them.
30:45So what did we think about the show today?
30:47This was our first Project Runway finale where you had three women.
30:53You know?
30:54This was definitely a year of the women.
30:56The point of view was so palpable for each of them.
30:59And they're all very clear points of view.
31:02There's no hesitation.
31:03They have their own identity.
31:05And I think that it was exciting to see that very personal expression.
31:09I thought they did a great job.
31:12Okay, let's bring out the designers.
31:22Welcome back to the runway.
31:23Before we begin, I would like to congratulate each of you for making it this far.
31:28But as you know, only one of you can be the winner of Project Runway.
31:35The winner will receive a spread in Elle Magazine, a 2009 Saturn View Hybrid, an opportunity to sell their line on bluefly.com, a year of representation from designers management agency, and $100,000 to start their own line, furnished by Tresemme Professional Hair Care.
31:53With us, as always, fashion designer Micah Kors.
31:58Congratulations.
32:00Nina Garcia, editor-at-large for Elle Magazine.
32:04Congratulations, guys.
32:05So proud of you.
32:06And a really hot hottie.
32:09Chief Creative Officer of Liz Claiborne, Inc.
32:11Tim Gunn!
32:12I'm also extremely proud of all of you.
32:15Did a wonderful job.
32:16Thanks, Tim.
32:17Let's bring out your models.
32:27Models, one of you will also be a winner today.
32:30The model paired with a winning designer will receive a fashion spread in Elle Magazine.
32:35Okay, I would like to start with Kenley.
32:37Michael, what did you think of Kenley's fashion show today?
32:40I thought it was full of charm.
32:42It had a lot of personality and a lot of spirit.
32:44I was curious, the painting, did you do all that yourself?
32:48Mm-hmm.
32:49Well, that's pretty remarkable, so my hat's off to you.
32:53And I also loved when you played with separates but still maintained your look.
32:58You had a fabulous blouse with a little skirt.
33:01I thought those two pieces were really great.
33:04Thanks.
33:05I love your concept.
33:06I love your hand painting and impeccable construction and you certainly have a profound point of view.
33:13I think you had a fantastic collection.
33:15It had wonderful spirit.
33:17The only problem that I have, to be honest, that dress that you had with the flowers, it reminds me very much of Balenciaga collection.
33:26Yeah.
33:27It's a cousin.
33:28I've heard people actually say that today.
33:29I don't know.
33:30Can I just tell you one thing?
33:32It is necessary to know what's going on.
33:35Because if you don't know all those fashion editors that are watching your show...
33:39They do know.
33:40I'm...
33:41They do know.
33:42At least four times you guys have told me that.
33:44And yeah, I realize now, maybe I need to do some research.
33:50Cateau?
33:51I think that you found a way to take your heritage and your background and inject it into the clothes without it becoming a costume.
34:01This green dress that we're looking at here is definitely my favorite piece you showed.
34:06I love the dress.
34:07I think it's great.
34:09Your collection looked effortlessly cohesive.
34:14I think you do phenomenal color.
34:17I think that dress is extraordinary.
34:20It would appeal to many women.
34:22Cateau, I believe you've hit the bullseye with the short taupe dress with the pleating detail.
34:28And it surprised me.
34:29I hadn't seen it walk.
34:30I thought it was absolutely sublime on the runway.
34:33I loved it.
34:34Thank you, Tim.
34:35Everyone can see how much work you put into each and every piece.
34:39But some of the pieces do look overworked to me.
34:42That there are too many ideas in one garment.
34:45You just need to be careful in going overboard with the decoration.
34:50I like it when you hold back a little bit.
34:56Leanne.
34:57You turned the corner with the right first look.
35:01It set the tone immediately.
35:03Yeah.
35:04The shirt was over steamed.
35:06And it had stretched about two sizes larger.
35:09So we had to do a last minute switch up.
35:12Welcome to fashion show hell.
35:14Oh, yeah.
35:15But so much of what you showed, the workmanship looked divine.
35:21I loved the blue vest with the white pants.
35:24I just thought that was a smashing, smart, fantastic look.
35:28I also appreciated the fact that you showed us shorts, skirts, pants, jackets, and a long dress.
35:39I think that it all did work together very nicely.
35:42I feel like I've seen things in your line that I have not seen before, like these petals.
35:47But there were a lot of them.
35:49I'm just nervous that you're going to be known as the queen of the petals.
35:53You're going to be petals Marshall, which sounds like a stripper, not a designer.
35:58I am a little concerned that it was too much of a one note.
36:02If you had to do 40 looks, how would you evolve this?
36:07It is a concern of mine.
36:12Cato, why do you deserve to be the winner of Project Runway?
36:15It's been a long journey here, and to show at Bryan Park, it was amazing.
36:23And it showed to me that I am capable of doing it, that I am worthy of it.
36:27And there's just so much more that can come out of me, and I would love this opportunity to be able to show that.
36:33Leanne, why do you deserve to be the winner of Project Runway?
36:37I'm extremely innovative.
36:39I'm doing new things in fashion.
36:42Half of my collection was of sustainable textiles.
36:46I really need to take it to the next level, and I possess the talent and the ambition to do that.
36:54Kenley.
36:55I know that I have it in me, and I can take this far.
36:59I moved to New York a few years ago with a lot of imagination and a lot of personality, good or bad.
37:09But this is something I'm very passionate about, and that I'm good at.
37:16We could see that all of you are very passionate about it.
37:20Boy, you need to be.
37:23Can't do it otherwise.
37:25Okay, we've heard what you had to say.
37:28We're gonna have a little chat.
37:29And when we call you back, we'll name the winner of Project Runway.
37:34You can use the runway.
37:43What did we think about Kenley?
37:45Well, there was certainly cohesion, and it was superbly executed.
37:48She has the fit so down pat.
37:51They look perfect.
37:53It's almost couture-like.
37:55She does have ideas, and I loved that she hand-painted everything.
37:59But you just have to make sure you don't cross that step where it turns into La Croix, Balenciaga.
38:07Balenciaga did an entire collection of painted, I mean, guys.
38:11She needs to take a fashion history course, frankly.
38:14But is the creativity and the talent there?
38:16Absolutely.
38:18What do you guys think about Leigh-Anne?
38:21Well, the trickiest thing to do is make complicated clothes look easy.
38:25And her clothes look very unfettered.
38:28The other thing is she thinks about a sustainable fabric, and she's thinking, what's next?
38:35She has an elegant, sophisticated, polished approach.
38:38Yes, it could look very granola.
38:39Very easy.
38:40But that's what I love about it.
38:41And hers doesn't.
38:42It doesn't at all.
38:43And it was her own.
38:44I mean, you could see immediately it's Leigh-Anne.
38:46Hopefully she's not stuck in the petal architecture.
38:49That is my apprehension.
38:51Can she really evolve from that, you know, one concept?
38:55Katow.
38:56I am very impressed with Katow's silhouettes and her desire to bring in the African heritage.
39:06I loved the overall look of the collection.
39:09I think she's at her best when it's complicated but deceptively simple.
39:15Like the last dress was a classic halter dress, just done askew.
39:20Bit of a twist.
39:21Just enough to keep my interest, but at the same time not get overworked.
39:26She has an incredible ability to dress many sizes in terms of the shape and the silhouette and what works best for a woman.
39:35And I think that's a gift.
39:39So this is a really tough decision.
39:41Do you think we're doing the right thing?
39:43I think so.
39:44No doubt.
39:45Yes.
39:46Okay.
39:47Let's bring them back out.
39:51Lien, Katow, Kenley, each of you put on a great show.
40:07But only one of you can be the winner of Project Runway.
40:16Lien, Katow, Kenley, each of you put on a great show.
40:20But only one of you can be the winner of Project Runway.
40:25Kenley, you're out.
40:29We believe that you will have a bright future in this industry.
40:34I wish you all the best.
40:35Thanks.
40:36Be as in Kenny.
40:39Thank you, guys.
40:40Thanks.
40:41I'm really sad.
40:43It crushes me.
40:45I'm out.
40:46No one likes to be called a copycat when they know that they're a true artist.
40:52And it kills me that that's what they think.
40:53I think it's bull .
40:54I'm sorry.
40:55You won in my book.
40:58Lien, Katow, one of you will be the winner of Project Runway.

41:56and you really understand what women want.
41:59It is devastating.
42:14I wanted to win, and I'm always this close,
42:16but it didn't happen.
42:17It wasn't in the cards for me.
42:19Am I sad? Yes.
42:20Am I disappointed?
42:22Hella yes.
42:24This is definitely not the last of Cato,
42:31but at this very moment, my heart is bleeding.
42:36Leigh-Anne!
42:39Congratulations!
42:41Oh, my God.
42:43You did it.
