00:00it's donnington park gp it's bennett's bsp 2025 only four races down this year and already there
00:19are signs that one man will take some beating this year the 2022 champion bradley ray comes
00:26back stronger and he's flexing his muscles three wins in four races so far makes him the championship
00:33leader coming into this and he's in pursuit of his second treble of his career he did it at
00:39snetterton a couple of years ago he leads by 10 over glen irwin and kyle ryde with haslam there
00:45in fourth and brooks who will probably feature here in this one as well but it's a tough one to call
00:50but it is rory skinner on pole position a brilliant lap from him a 26 nine puts him on pole ahead of
00:58haslam but all the big hitters are there what a strong road to that is head headed by brad ray
01:02james whittam i'm gonna put you on the spot is it gonna be a treble for brad ray i certainly think
01:08he's the man to be uh glen irwin always has a plan he says he made some changes uh but i suspect he
01:15might run into tire trouble at some point uh and honestly the only other person who brad has to
01:21worry about in my opinion over this distance is kyle ryde but again haslam going off the front row
01:28needs a better start than he did in the sprint race but will his tire last he had trouble before
01:32would we be foolish to rule out brooks and skinner i think it'd be a good ride from them if it could be
01:39brad ray around here today let's see how it goes it's been a beautiful afternoon and the pace is
01:45hot so far this weekend in fact the sprint race earlier on today at donington was 10 seconds faster
01:53than the same sprint race this time last year yeah a lot of that's down to conditions which are perfect
01:58and the fact they've got a new tire that gives slightly more grip although does drop off it's been
02:03a good crowd in here this weekend at donington they've come to look at their superstars in action
02:08and for one last race of the weekend they do battle rory skinner cheshire moldings ducati the taz
02:15racing team are on pole here at the at donington park can they do the business it's great to see
02:24skinner back in form and happy on his bike we're about to go racing here at donington then 20 laps
02:29coming up in bsb race three away we go good start from brad ray on that second row and he's already
02:38lining up a move to get the lead into turn one what a start from the championship leader he does lead
02:43that's tight between the two ducati's skinner just pops his nose off ahead of glenn irwin for
02:48second place we don't get much better start than that both feet still down head under the screen
02:52that was a belting start from brad unbelievable that was like a motocross start it was like a
02:57motocross incredible stuff you just see there andy irwin and leon has them side by side going through
03:03the old hairpin i think has them's come out just about on top of that or maybe not it's brad ray that
03:09leads though from rory skinner in second number 11 third is irwin number two and then
03:14it is kyle ride in fourth place it'd be quite interesting to see how fast uh the pace is set
03:21by brad ray we know he's got incredible pace uh but he knows also that that tire is going to give
03:27bother if he goes at it this hard so we'll see on the lap times exactly what pace has been set you'll
03:31better tell anyway because if he's a sort of 10 riders together you know the pace is slightly less
03:36than what it could be with the grip they've got at the minute early on that was a good move there
03:40probably on hasland on kyle rye down into the foggy s as hasland moves up into fourth spot but can he
03:45hold on to it because kyle rye's got that inside line and returns the favor but they're all a bit
03:50wide and someone's trying to pick their pocket it's john mcfee john mcfee there going in between the two
03:57sandwiching himself what a weekend he's had yep that's why i went to speak to on the grid he said
04:01he's learning a lot every single time he goes out and that's exactly what and he's decent start
04:05gets stuck in with some men or not around these bikes he's got plenty experience but just not on
04:09these bikes he's uh riding solo for the hawk racing team for this one charlie spud nesbitt
04:13unfortunately ruled out yeah yeah josh brooks looking to get some early good position as well
04:21we know he's going to come on strong in the latter stages tommy brydwell in ninth it's not been the
04:25start to the year that he had wanted so far well we thought about the move a look here ain't it
04:29they're very confident in that garage that they could put in a good performance here i'm just as
04:36impressed with the guys in the garage that i am as i am with rory because you're going to learn
04:40these bikes it's a different but i keep saying it's a b4 not a straight for it the chassis is very
04:45very different the weight distribution the balance of the bike is different so not only does rory
04:49have to learn how to ride the sort of video synthesis of this bike but the team often how to run it as
04:55well onto the back straight skinner with this to catty there up behind brad ray it's erwin third
05:03kyle ride in the fifth spot then haslam
05:05kyle ride out the seat a little bit leon haslam now making a move down into the melbourne loop and
05:15this was an area he struggled in yesterday james yeah and that shook kyle ride a bit wider and that's
05:20uh let john mcfee in again he's nipping away he's a little fella he is number 17 there now just up
05:27behind leon haslam and he's up into sixth place his lap times he's running would have won in races
05:33here last year yeah and uh that's really the story in the tommy bridewell camp as well i went into their
05:40garage to find out what the issue was they said they're struggling to get the bike stopped but they
05:43did at times last year as well and it's just the rest of them have all moved on they're not actually
05:47going any slower it's not but just everybody else is going quicker yeah yeah that does happen just
05:52about every year in racing but this is very marketing i think the tire has something to do
05:56with you've got to get your bike set up for the the extra amount of grip that it gives that three of
06:0220 here at donington park it is brad ray who was pitch perfect earlier on he rarely makes mistakes we
06:08said that if anyone's going to beat him you're going to get maybe one or two opportunities and
06:13you've got to make it count this was a fear of a moment on through the curbs easy done there as
06:18you jump off the curb sometimes if you've got the throttle just a little bit too much remember
06:21these things have got 230 240 horsepower and this is him getting a little bit a little unfortunate for
06:27kyle there got mugged and remember that if i'm stating the obvious forgive me uh but they have choice of
06:34one rear tire compound so this is the same time they use a 12 lapper or a 20 lapper that's a very
06:41different proposition for a rider danny kent now getting in the mix this is good to see the
06:46mccams yamaha rider strong start for him yeah first time we've seen him all weekend and we've
06:50been puzzled us to know why yeah well they're still making changes they're making another they had
06:54another theory on a setup coming into this one to see if it could work to try and salvage something
07:00from a rotten weekend for danny and you might say why do they struggle everybody talks about setup and i
07:05didn't have to set by i'm making changes i'm going to do something in warm-up etc the fact is that everything
07:10you alter on a motorcycle which is quite different to setting a race car up alters something else you
07:15got the forks through that's the bigger rider that's a different balance of the bike you drop the rear
07:19you it all affects everything it's like a minute there's millions and millions of permutations just
07:25in a few settings so it's not so easy no and like you said earlier james it's the balancing act around
07:31and actually you get a bike that's set up perfectly for one rider another rider with a slightly different
07:36technique or riding style will not like it so it's even more complex than you think and we should
07:41just say as well in bennett's bsp this isn't like world championship where the manufacturers come in
07:45and they try and share data it's each man for themselves in many ways it really is though isn't
07:50it i mean there are a couple of teams that might share a little bit here and there but on the whole
07:55they're not really giving each other anything you've been involved in racing all your life right when
07:59when has it never been an every man for himself sport that is very true that is very true that's
08:04silly of me fraser rogers there good start for him absolutely 12th place up ahead of max good
08:10yep on the tag honda that's great to see this is down into the melbourne loop has them trying to reel in
08:17the leading trio a 27-2 from brad ray that's quite a pace actually 27-2 for the longer race that would
08:26suggest to me that he has a little bit of confidence in his tire because you would think
08:29that would take a little bit of extra out of the tire although the yamaha typically with the right
08:34rider board is good at concerning the tire it's good in the longer faster corners very smooth that's
08:39where it gets its kind of speed from and it's generally you wear the tires out there when you've
08:44got this much power ripping the side out of them coming out of the slower corners and accelerating
08:49correction on charlie nesbitt he has started the race he's currently in 17th
08:52oh there you go alive then but where did i get that information from james whitton
08:58i shouldn't have said anything nobody knew
09:02there he is oh dear it was psychs he didn't start they've had some uh electrical issues
09:08with that pretty at all weekend so unfortunately it's not been the return that sykes he would want
09:13i don't i'm going to take it up with my mates who i like a lot he uh because he said i'm not sure
09:18he had been past fit but he said he's having a lot of trouble with his hand and he got a big whack
09:23in the queensberries uh that caused him quite a bit of pain so you took that as he's not riding but
09:28i understand that yeah okay all right we've all been wrong quite a few times this weekend go on
09:35brad ray lee's eight tenths now clear of skinner which means glen owen probably might now want to try
09:41and make a move that's wide from mcfee absolutely and that's going to be tight on exit as well josh
09:47brooks is there yeah we know well josh brooks seems to be able to serve his tyres he's driven with a
09:52better start however uh his fastest laps were near the end of the long race yesterday remember 27.1 from
09:59brad ray he's upping the ante yet again i'll repeat it this is a really hot pace at the start of the race
10:06yeah it really is 27.1 that's half a second quicker than skinner in seconds yeah skinner remember in
10:13the 12 lap race earlier today did have tire issues at the rear last couple of laps so he's got that in
10:19mind he really has been so impressive speaking to a few people in the panic that have been watching
10:26brad out on circuit yeah he looks so good but it just doesn't look like he's trying it doesn't
10:31actually look like you know what i mean by that exactly it doesn't look quick because the bike's
10:36in line and smooth and he's doing the same thing every lap it doesn't make mistakes but not so many
10:42mistakes well tell you what you don't often see a move into coppice corner no you don't and that just
10:50that's brooks on danny ken that rattled danny a little bit didn't it well it would battle you
10:53i mean what it's called yeah yeah and he's going for another one as well josh brooks then it takes
10:58him a few laps to get going but the dow racing honda rider he has got the speed at the end of
11:08races now tommy ridewell yeah true on danny ken i feel a bit sorry for tommy i've got to say
11:13working really hard as is the team but just not seeming to be at a room where we know they can and have
11:20it was actually the last couple of laps of the sprint race earlier where brooks put in his
11:26finest lap so there's still more to come from the australian the two-time champion
11:30they cross the line another 27-1 from brad ray out front that's confidence in the fact that you can
11:37keep doing that because it wouldn't the lads intelligent is brad ray and it worked it out
11:41they'll have a plan a child with shaker uh who obviously is no mug himself and they will have a
11:46plan and this is it it wouldn't getting out front you would when you can run your own plan this is
11:52what the plan is tommy bridewell makes up another spot he's through on john mcfee he's digging deep
11:58here is bridewell if there's anyone that's going to salvage something from a poor weekend it would be
12:04tommy glenn erwin just sort of biding his time at the moment in third he doesn't want to waste too
12:11much of his tire but one and a half seconds up the road now for brad ray it's going to be difficult to
12:16overcome yeah i mean everybody else will be hoping the tire and the first the phrase in the paddock
12:22which arises drops off a clip in terms of grip that's uh repaying the uh compliment there
12:34danny can't at least have a little bit regardless yeah please to see christian in and now up the inside
12:39of andy here it's all getting a bit messy here yeah this battle sort of eighth down to 12th
12:46and it ranges on in towards goddard's as well danny penn number 52 with the inside line and
12:51john mcfee forced wide christian hidden trying to pass through on his agn steel stock kawasaki as well
12:56then it's uh erwin you just see max cook there behind and then fraser rogers scott swan in 14th
13:06hasn't got a little bit of pace here well we saw didn't we at the end of the sprint race earlier
13:12on josh brooks and leon haslam both had the speed yeah but that's 12 laps yeah
13:16track limits warning you don't see that too often no you don't and i know where that beats i've been
13:24out and watched and uh he's very very close every time the right hander coming out the foggy air says
13:28he nicks every little bit of concrete he can
13:34said uh earlier on he was on his absolute limit just to stay with brad ray yeah you've got admire um
13:43kyle rides honesty he always is lets you know exactly how it is not not some kind of made up
13:48thing that he needs for his confidence this is where the hit track limits now i didn't just see him
13:53going through but there's a there's concrete that's painted red and white and then there is
13:59the green painted concrete if you're on the green you get a warning and then you get top top we're on
14:03lap eight of 20 you're right about leon haslam he's just put in his personal best sector and he's
14:07closing here on the two ducati's ahead of him yep into goddard's we go to start lap nine let's see
14:15what leon haslam's lap times looking like as he hunts down two fellow ducati skinner and irwin up
14:20ahead of him over the line four has them as a 27-2 yep it's just slightly quicker than ray in the lead
14:27uh but he's uh yeah about three or four seconds behind your leader is leon work to do another
14:35couple of tenths drawn out at the front for brad ray glenn erwin though he's having to work hard to
14:39find a way through on rory skinner yeah the bikes are exactly the same spec therefore pretty much will
14:45be exactly at the same speed that's going to make it a little bit difficult for glenn uh the ducati is
14:50slightly quicker than most of the bikes around it other than other decays uh so he's unable to put
14:56himself into a position down the straight where he can force his way through on the brakes i have to
15:00say james this ride from skinner today and this week in general uh this bodes really well for the
15:06future because they're still not to get into grips with stuff you've got to say that by the time we get
15:10to not kill and the latter stages of the season he and we know how good he is yep him and the bike
15:16and the team sort of should understand the bike a little bit better they haven't made that many
15:20changes you know if you're learning a bike and you're not fully on the pace and you keep changing
15:25the bike you've nothing to reference it to because you've never in that back before so you end up
15:28chasing your tail around around you you can't recognize the best setup if you were given it
15:32so best to set your stall out keep pretty much on the same base setting and see where you get with
15:38it and then alter it when you close when you get a front wheel close to a rear there's only going to be one
15:45winner in a touch the lap times from brad ray out front spectacular glenn owen loves this move down
15:52into red gate corner it's one of his favorites and he's moved up into second spot then a nice clean
15:57overtake on rural skinner yeah and you would think he's been looking to do it for a couple of laps so
16:02you would think he's going to have a little bit of a push now uh that said uh that he knows that when
16:08he did that before in the first long race yesterday uh then he used a lot of tight up and his diet did
16:14degrade in a big way last four laps he dropped back three places you're looking at three ducati's
16:19here second third and fourth watch they're different riding styles glenn owen that old-fashioned riding
16:23style shoulder down almost for rory skinner behind him and then leon has them as well as always looks
16:28busy on a bike yep rory but actually uh the first two glenn and rory big leggy lads and uh leon pretty much a
16:39five foot cube so but he's in he's just a big white strong but short oh blaze baker yeah it is
16:57radical there for the south african i'm afraid the gap is just over two seconds to brad ray let's see what
17:05lap time with some clear air that glenn owen has managed to stick in on his cargo i think he'll
17:10probably be one of his quickest laps i think no it's not and it's still 27 ones from brad ray if
17:18he can keep this up what a ride it would be brooks 27-1 his fastest lap of the race just slightly
17:24quicker than your leader yeah but is it too late of course it is i'm saying he's impressive still yeah
17:29just see in the distance there kyle riding fifth who's drifted away a bit more than i thought he would
17:34absolutely yep and brooks is now reeling him in he's just behind him they're going through the old
17:40hairpin now this is further back behind bridewell in seventh kent through to max cook in 12.
17:47into mcclain's corner the two agn steel stock kawasaki riders looking for a top 10.
18:04up into copies very blind going up there as you know steve you've got to turn into the corner before
18:09you can actually see the first apex two distinct apexes you're running a little bit wide out the
18:13first one put you back to a second one really important to get out of there well because you
18:16can get down the straight fairly quick as you've seen and here we do there then you can get up the
18:22inside it gives you a chance at least to get up the inside into foggerson right well just grounding
18:27the melbourne loop and it's all changed between the riders fighting between it's going to hurt
18:32and john mcfee this has been a better lap from erwin in second spot you start lap 12 of 20. a 27 1 1 4
18:43is glenn owens fastest lap of the race and a tenth of a second quicker than brad ray albeit a full two
18:49seconds behind brad kyle riders are putting his fastest lap of the race as well yeah it's always a
18:55balancing act you know if you know you're gonna have some title if you to watch somebody going into the
18:59distance and convince yourself they're going to come back to you when the tire wears out is a
19:03different oh it's just so unnatural isn't it completely some find it impossible to achieve
19:15up towards uh mclean's we go this is skinner yeah lovely modern style as he said elbow next to his knee
19:20uh very sort of lean forward shoulder out glenn owen putting together another decent lap by the way he's
19:27gone personal best sectors one and two a late charge here see if he could do anything about
19:32brad ray out front you've got to admire all these guys but glenn just never stops digging away does he
19:39just well he said it to you on the grid he's got the resilience he's certainly got an abundance of
19:45that yeah another good sector there from glenn erwin absolutely that's visibly closer to brad ray
19:52reckon that's less than two seconds now uh brad needs to look at his uh his signal board hanging
19:56over the the pit wall on the start and finish it's a savvy team they'll know what to tell him they've
20:00probably got a plan to let him know somebody is catching we'll see the time coming down and if he
20:04can respond and and still save the tire he will do yeah 27 1 0 3 again glenn erwin's fast
20:11three tenths quicker he'd need a few more of those though yep he would and to do that remember he's
20:19using a lot of tire and and coming out of hollywood there out of ray getting to hollywood the glenn
20:23owens back sliding visibly more than brad ray's and you could argue that with the comfort bracket if
20:29you like that ray has got he could afford to roll it back a bit and save a bit of tire if there is a
20:33battle um i am certain that's what he's doing and glenn hasn't got that luxury he's got to catch back and
20:40push on every lap just to get back the time he's lost number 11 here rory skinner was robbed of the
20:45podium earlier on to glenn owen and he's now got to try and fend off leon haslam who will be desperately
20:51seeking a podium here at his home race at conington around coppice and on to the back straight for those
20:59two yeah leon has a lot this weekend generally happy with the way the season's going but quite
21:05frustrated that he thought he might have a better meeting and he's had the pace to do it remember
21:10yep he has nothing this lap brad ray responded slightly
21:21the laps are ticking down we're about to start lap 14 of 20. yeah and it's now you get into that uh
21:28what's the tire going to do kind of terror trip
21:30over the line for brad ray then he leads a 27-3 for him a 27-2 for erwin it's still quicker but to be
21:40honest with 1.6 skins that is miserable by brad ray i think i always thought in my career if you're two
21:47seconds in front you could kind of start to just manage it a little bit anything sort of getting down
21:52towards a second mate you'll just head down and train when you say manage there's always this myth that
21:57you don't want to slow down too much because you could be a danger i mean it is just maybe not
22:01training the break quite as much exactly yeah and just it just gives you that mental kind of capacity
22:07not to have to rush and push
22:19trick at the moment and it's ray that leads 1.3 seconds ahead of glenn
22:31so skinner is in third place haslam a 10th behind skinner
22:44brad ray it is then
22:50we're now heading onto lap 15 of 20. kyle right there has got company with josh brooks
23:00yeah from josh brooks oh he's trying hard and he doesn't seem to have a lot of tire left we've
23:04said that he's uh managed to to really conserve his tire in previous races but josh doesn't look to have
23:10a lot left glenn owen that gap is now 1.1 at 126.901 for glenn that's and that's four times quicker
23:21that's back to almost a second 1.1 second only then when he's behind brad ray this is turning into a
23:27race and laps about left just over six this this could be something this it could and and to be
23:33fair brad's still doing 27 threes does he look to be panicked at this point at what point would you
23:40though i mean is it after when the gap comes down to less than a second personally
23:48yeah i mean this is this is a ride by glenn irwin i just questioned whether he is going to have the
23:53tire left to get out of copies to give him that chance up the inside or we've yet to see what
23:58brad has left if it gets below a second i think if brad has got anything left and he knows it from
24:03his single board i think he will have a go he's got to go another couple of tents on this lap you can
24:09see it that's visible now and that's skinner and haslan not far away i think they're too far away glenn
24:15owen what a performance this is he's testing brad ray in the closing laps of the third and final race here
24:21at donington yeah who's running wide who isn't both absolutely online run it a little bit wide
24:27at godad they're back to that really late i think to slinch up themselves down to start finish brilliant
24:31from the pair of them another 27.1 from glenn i don't think i don't think brad's got an answer
24:38for this in terms of lap times you know i think he might have when if they're together and and you
24:43know it might be a defend but i think i think this is all glenn they never twitch there on the change of
24:49direction for glenn owen in second he's pushing pushing on that that's what he does you just look
24:55at him and you know when you when you've caught your man in front and you know you're sneaking
24:59up you're looking at how many laps can i do it you're looking at where he passes a certain point
25:03and counting back to where you are and think i'm doing this he loved it honestly he's like a magic man
25:08isn't he glenn owen you could lock him in anything and he'll find a way out something he'd do something
25:13yeah map 16 of 20. this one looked like it was home and dry for brad ray absolutely yep
25:24skinner and haslam are also lapping faster than your ace leader brad ray
25:28this is half a second when i reckon the gap's going to be half a second maybe 0.6 of a second
25:33glenn reaches up takes a tear off off they'll all run two or three tear offs lots of flies about when
25:38with us like this especially in the spring it was a bit top into the melbourne loop there glenn yeah
25:44i mean this is the thing when you're pushing this out this later and it is so easy to make a mistake
25:48your concentration level has to remain it's just difficult warm weather as well that won't help
25:53we're about to find out whether brad's got anything left in this fight over the line four tenths up
26:02it's less than that it's four tenths of a second glenn is all right there's no point in
26:06me telling what the numbers are you can see it fastest man on that last lap was leon haslam in
26:11fourth spot yeah but we don't have to worry about that this is what we're worried about
26:16look at this oh glenn i tell you glenn's pushing so hard change your direction down into the left
26:21and the thing flicks again because he's he's releasing that much weight off the rear
26:25at a point it's so difficult to trail break in there he's leaving nothing out there and neither is brad
26:30out front the gap now down then so just to what a bike length or two i reckon the team have
26:35probably told brado it is because that'll make a big difference in brad's tactics he will have
26:40sussed out in previous races where glenn is uh you know strong and maybe where he isn't quite as strong
26:47out of coppers he's got the punch on the harder ppm to catty is he gonna have a look already
26:51this went wrong earlier in the sprint race he doesn't fancy it yep he'll be aware of that he got
26:55sucked in a little bit by braddy said i didn't see much myself it looked he just got a bit deep himself but
27:01anyway glenn irwin's one of his favorite moves is down into red gate turn one but he's got to get
27:07the drive out of goddards and that'll be difficult i was just going to say you've got to get a good run
27:11out of goddards that's that means dropping it a little bit wide after an early apex look there's a
27:15little bit of an apex going in then they'll go wide mid corner look and then bang back to a really late
27:21that's strange the exit of the corner out that that was a lovely goddards from brad though almost like he knew it
27:27is glenn yeah one turns us back to three tenths of a second now it's all on here and and did you see
27:35brad's yamaha there squirming and looking for grip coming out look at that from glenn irwin
27:43and again the bike twitching on the change of direction brad going a bit defensive now yeah into
27:47the old hairpin and he'll know it's glenn glenn's coming we're about to go up to schwanz curve
27:53glenn needs to think about this a little bit a little bit not to have a stab where he's not
27:57going to get past or going to make it sketchy he needs to have a clean clean run i think down
28:01at foggy essence will be his first opportunity now and i think to do that he needs to drop back
28:05a little bit have a good run through copies get the run get the sleep team not a lot of use the
28:10strength's pretty short on these big bikes but still a little bit getting the sleep stream and swap to the
28:15inside look here comes the move it went wrong earlier but he's going to have another go it's take two for glenn but he's not
28:21close it up that's costing again he's fluffed his lines it's not worked into the foggy essence he
28:28had to back out of that it was very very lucky to do it and stay on the bike that's what i'm saying
28:32you see you know it to make it clean against this opposition is is really difficult the pit board will
28:39be frantically changing from red ray gets out of copies really well gets a little bit of help from the
28:43strip slips him gets to the inside brad doesn't know he's there and glenn knows that so he has to back out
28:47that costs him time at the first part of this is unlucky unlucky oh so so close jordan's off
28:5719 of 20 so there's two laps to go and now brad's got a bit of a buffer
29:02he has but there again he knows that glenn has the pace he won't know how far he is behind because
29:07you know the team won't have known what happened there quick enough to put it on a board so brad might
29:12think he's directly behind him that's what he might think so he's going to push on will that push him
29:16into a mistake kyle ryde's got to do a long lap penalty five times he's exceeded track limits yeah
29:22yep or it will be a three second time equivalent added to his time at the end but let's focus on
29:28brad ray versus glenn erwin can erwin now get himself close enough on this lap to attack on the last
29:35lap 10 quicker in the last sector it's just well his sector one was his personal best the fastest
29:43on lap 19. yep yep look at how these guys are closing if another couple of laps and they might
29:50even have a say in this skinner and haslan are riding brilliantly yeah they are yep it's just the

30:17lap here at donington can glenn get close enough to challenge brad ray if he can he's only going to get
30:23one shot at it a twitch through red gate there for glenn yeah but both really clean for what is going on
30:33they're both pushing on so hard brad will know he's got probably if it i were his team had to put on
30:40plus not plus plus plus plus plus means there's somebody right over your back side how to put
30:44plus so i know somebody's there but not just quite gonna be up your inside into the red gate yet it
30:49was another tenth through sector one sector two about to flash up and he is creeping closer glenn
30:56owen it needs anything so everything perfect does then from now on and he might just get one go either
31:01down into foggy essence but he can't afford to do the same as he did it's got to be cleaner which means
31:05it's got to be better out of copies has it got out good yes he has he has in the slip team is it
31:10going to be take three then for glenn erwin or does he not fancy it he's got another chance left so
31:15back to the outside get a good run out of foggy essence here we go from now he's building oh that's
31:20costed yeah and that might be it but brad will go defensive is it going to be a last minute lunch

31:53what what a fighter glenn owen is what a race that one but boy oh boy did brad ray had to work hard to
32:02hold on to that yeah yeah i love motorbikes oh so do i james and look at this this is how good these
32:13boys are brad ray last lap a 27 one glenn owen's last lap a 27 flat yeah brilliant and fastest sectors
32:23on the last two laps for both of them yeah terrible on paper it will say raceways yamaha rider brad ray
32:32did the treble but it doesn't tell the whole story
32:35his second treble of his career brad ray is so good to have him back and you know what i like
32:43about this meeting lots of riders are taking positive things away even if they didn't get
32:49the results they've all got the face done the quickest lap round on it and you know
32:53there's a there's a lot of positives coming out of this meeting yeah there is and they're all learning
32:57how to use this tire and each round we go they're going to get steps closer and it's going to be hard to
33:02call when we go to snettison in norfolk next month glenn owen as he always does though puts up
33:08a valiant fight and rory skinner this is so nice to see he's had setback upon setback yeah and a lot
33:17of them not his fault either nasty broken leg from snett an awful injury he's come back from that and
33:22that i don't think it was his fault it was in horrendous rain and everybody fell off he was
33:26unlucky to break his leg yeah and a lovely a lovely kid nice family as well look at this
33:32that brad ray sliding this is speedway didn't have to close the throttle glenn on the other hand
33:37just got a bit too much sideways had to close the throttle that's cost him a tenth right there
33:42yeah hey listen they left nothing out there did they they put it all in and you can see how much
33:49just from that celebration over the line that meant to brad ray as well absolutely
33:53yeah a little bit of frustration in the pbm garage but hey keep the chin up there's no shame in any of
34:03that hey they've got glenn irwin yeah yeah you can never fault his commitment his work ethic but none of
34:16them you can it sounds like we're doing everybody else a disservice but they're all putting they're
34:20all putting a shifting out there that was an epic second place really for glenn two seconds he had to
34:26find and he did

34:32it's exhausted yeah i had to ride the wheels off that is what mark woodish says to him and he's seen
34:54some people riding wheels off bikes been in the job a long time as brains
35:07bradley ray not only a treble winner but the milwaukee king of donnington here this weekend for most
35:13points accumulated it's going to be great to hear from all three of these after that let's get the
35:21results in here for the last race of the weekend it's been a brilliant weekend here at donnington
35:26in fantastic weather conditions ray wins again ahead of irwin and skinner leon haslam was fourth
35:32then it's car ride brooks bridewell kent idden and max cook tenth
35:40points for andy owen 11th mcphee 12th nesbit 13th scott swan 14th fraser rogers taking the final point
35:51and championship standings heading into snetterton bradley ray will take a 12 point advantage over to
36:05norfolk ahead of glenn irwin car ride is third haslam fourth and skinner has moved up to fifth overall in
36:11the championship ahead of brooks danny kent drops to seventh the uh champion from a few years back to me
36:17bridewell eighth hidden night storm stacy 10th overall then it's andy erwin nesbit mcphee lee jackson

37:08forgotten you had to come and do this bit but um it seems to me that you're getting to grips with
37:12this uh cheshire moldings ducati very very quickly surely this bodes well for the future a fantastic
37:17podium yeah i mean it's been a while since i've been over in park fermi and it's uh yeah it's a nice
37:22feeling the guys at cheshire mullins ducati have been flat out working hard and all all through the
37:27off season we got trouble with a couple of electrical gremlins in the testing and kind of put us on the back
37:31foot but since we came here this weekend we've really found something and i've kind of clicked
37:35with the bike i feel more at home on it i feel a lot more comfortable and i'm kind of able to ride
37:39like rory well you certainly look like rory you're going like rory it was a fantastic performance
37:43look forward to seeing your session thank you very much cheers guys right second place man coming in
37:48now my old teammate glenn owen glenn i've got to say mate that is probably one of the best rides i've
37:53ever seen you uh compete you know you the way you dug in there 26 eight seconds the last lap tell us about
37:58that yeah look uh we had a obviously really poor tire degradation yesterday and we uh we worked uh
38:05very very very hard to understand why that was and we uh we rectified that i was really happy to sit
38:11behind rory and it may have looked like you know the gap was obviously there was a gap but i knew how
38:16easy i was taking it in the first 10 and uh when once i got through i could see brad was having a little
38:21bit of tire trouble you know uh at this level you need to take half chances and i probably had a good
38:26chance into the chicane the lap where i made the mistake uh he braked earlier than what i expected
38:31i had pulled out of trying to pass him and then nearly hit brad's back wheel so i had to
38:35lose a good chunk of time but you know the resilience to come back and do a 26-8 on lap 19
38:40i'm not too fussed about two points here and there at the minute this time of year it's uh making the
38:44best of the job that we have and we're only going to grow we'll get stronger and stronger cooler
38:49conditions will come into play later in the year when we come back um honestly i'm so happy it feels like a
38:54win again to bridge that gap in front of a packed donnington park crowd with a lap record but hats
38:59off to brad because i thought before to go it was just going to be pick my moment but he responded
39:04and uh that's what makes this championship so uh so great there's many tough characters in it
39:08tell you what glenn that was a fantastic performance wasn't a win but uh a fantastic
39:11performance nonetheless thank you very much thanks everyone cheers for all the support cheers
39:16right then your race three winner here he comes bradley ray competed the triple here at
39:22donnington park was you expecting that and how are you feeling right now brad uh honestly no coming
39:26into this weekend um after the the test that glenn and glenn was super strong at the test and same
39:31with kyle but uh we dug deep this weekend um i knew that race would be tough i didn't really know how to
39:37to go about it but i got in the lead i started to to put a little bit of a gap and i thought right
39:40this is a pace i know i can i can manage um and then yeah glenn started to come back to me uh towards
39:46the end and i was spinning i was moving but i had to to find a way to make the lap time to um
39:51try and keep the gap and try and keep him off but uh yeah just over the moon uh road are that that last
39:57part of the race and um we're getting closer to where we need to be um bike wise towards the end of
40:02the race and uh just super happy for the team and all involved you told me earlier before the race that
40:07you fought 27 4 27 5 would be enough you did about 10 27 twos and got your gap but then it come back down
40:13what were your thoughts then honestly i thought that would be that would be enough to to get the
40:17gap when i saw plus two i thought i can just manage this at that time but then it started coming down
40:21super quick and uh saw on the board it was glenn and uh i knew he digs in at the end of the race so i
40:26had to try and find something um towards the end i think glenn done a 26 8 i don't know 27 0 and it's just
40:33phenomenal pace towards the end of the race but uh you have to respond if you if you want to get on the
40:37top step so uh super happy and uh yeah i need to need to rest a little bit congratulations on the
40:42triple brady well done thank you well glenn may have had the pace at the end of that race but it
40:47was brad who had the pace at the beginning that start that he got from the the second roll to get
40:52that second row to get that whole shot was something that really set him up nicely wasn't it james yeah
40:57fantastic i mean you just sort of see him like uh just on the second row here on the right hand side
41:02and uh he gets such a good launch and he comes through picks his way through uh through rory um and kyle
41:10and you just see him second to right on the picture there and just a great stop and as you
41:15say he gets the whole shot from there he had two whole shots in the earlier races but from the front
41:20row so yeah that really set him up then he got in his groove it was interesting to hear those interviews
41:25because glenn was sort of saying he was quite happy to give him those first 10 laps but equally you
41:30could say the damage was done in those first 10 laps i just worried for glenn that to chase down two
41:35seconds on anybody but especially brad ray saying a solid steady pace but that fast was going to wear
41:42the tire out and that's what we've been worried about glenn said he's made changes and obviously
41:47they have worked a little bit going back to brad's launch he kept his head behind the screen at both
41:52legs were dangling until he got to ready it's brilliant yeah it's always like he has that ride height
41:57device as well like on gb it goes really low he does doesn't it pushes off extra pressure for that
42:03well that man on the top step yeah steve rogers has brought him back into the fold he's come out of
42:09retirement so that guy could have a ride and isn't it working perfectly so far steve dave over to you for

42:20come out of this and it really builds up nicely for snetterton as well rory skinner back on the podium so good to

42:40weekend belongs to bradley ray his 15th bsb win the 22 champion really is back in business it's now
42:47four wins from five races and his crew chief mark woodich fondly known as brains in the paddock
42:53is also going to get a pot to take home as well brilliant stuff here
42:59time for the national anthem for your race winner it's a treble for brad ray
43:23congratulations to brad ray what a weekend for him he takes the championship lead into snetterton in
43:44norfolk which is round three coming up in a few weeks time we want to get you out there in the car
43:49so that we can always focus on the man on the top step but rory skinner a fifth a fourth then on the
43:54podium a brilliant weekend for him yeah fantastic you know he's been learning to get to grips with that
43:59to catty as is his team yeah they're different type of machine and you know he's gotten the groove as
44:04you say he's been chipping away he's not been making mistakes and fantastic for him to be on the uh on the
44:09podium more than that he's not been making changes he said they were going around in circles he didn't
44:12know what was a perfect setup even if they gave him because they didn't know what a perfect setup
44:16the catty should feel like they've kept it in the ballpark or other people use and now he's
44:20learning how to ride it then they can fine tune it when he knows what he wants perfect system for him
44:25and the team that are both learning and i'm really pleased for him this weekend even more excited for
44:29him going into snetterton now yeah although snetterton was the the the sort of circuit here himself
44:35and broke his leg but i'm sure that won't affect him and and he knows his way around there and i
44:38think the bike will suit it there we go that's obviously the next round in about a month's time
44:43actually we go to uh snetterton in norfolk but we're going to switch switch actually from
