00:00It's touring car time here at Donington, round two of the new campaign.
00:03Ash Sutton on pole position after that earlier victory,
00:06and our grid team of Paul O'Neill and Louise Goodman are in position.
00:11Sutton winning from Tom Ingram, Dan Rowbottom in third just an hour or so ago.
00:15What's going to happen in race two?
00:18Thank you, Stephen. Yeah, car's just pulling up onto the grid behind me,
00:22so I thought I would start this second grid walk with the same man I spoke to
00:27in the first grid walk, Dan Camish, so obviously a slightly problematic race for him
00:32first time round, but let's talk about that fantastic comeback.
00:38Dan, didn't really go the way you wanted, but what a comeback drive.
00:42Yeah, what was the last thing I said to you, Louise?
00:45Let's go have some fun.
00:47Yeah, didn't quite go to plan, did it?
00:49Unfortunately, that left front puncture.
00:52Kind of knew quite early on, probably about lap three or four,
00:54I realised it's not quite right here.
00:57As many people might realise, we've had a few issues at times on softs with this car.
01:02I don't know what it is, but it can really damage the tyre.
01:06So, thankfully, the safety car was actually perfectly timed for me to also have my own issues.
01:12It meant I could rejoin the back of the train,
01:14and then, yeah, you've got a very worked-up driver in a fast car,
01:19and yeah, we made it work.
01:21We came all the way back through to eighth, and that's where I start now.
01:23So, I can see the front again.
01:26Yeah, disappointing, but ultimately, you know, I think it shows that we've got the speed,
01:31and let's get a good race under his belt, you know, let's see if we can go that way.
01:35I forgot to have a look at the car when I came over to you.
01:37What colour are the walls of your tyres?
01:40Well, the only medium now, isn't it, for me?
01:43Obviously, having been on the soft, that's all I've got.
01:46I've just asked over the radio what other people are running.
01:49Chilton seems to be on the medium.
01:50I think Cook's on soft.
01:53Hill's apparently on soft.
01:54So, let's see how they fare.
01:56Hopefully better than I do.
01:57Hopefully, it's forwards all the way in this one.
02:01I think Paul is down on the grid as well.
02:04Have you got with you, Paul?
02:06Yes, I am.
02:07Thanks, Lou.
02:07Yeah, I'm with Tom Chilton, and Tom, he's looking, he's doing his homework in here.
02:11What are you looking at in there, mate?
02:13You know me.
02:13I like a bit of homework.
02:15Every day's a school day, even at 40.
02:17So, you're looking at tyres.
02:19You're on the mediums.
02:19Not been on the soft yet.
02:21That'll be later on, but how's it looking for you?
02:22You've had the position reversed with Cookie.
02:25Was that a little bit of contact before?
02:27Yeah, I just had a nose up the inside, but as he's turning across to take the apex, I'm
02:32just looking at tyres.
02:33I had nowhere to go.
02:34So, yes, Josh should have given me room, like I gave Ronan room on the very last lap
02:39when me, Hill, and Ronan were battling, but fundamentally, the rules are, if you gain
02:44an advantage, you need to give it back, and after the restart, I thought Jelly was behind
02:48me, not Cook, otherwise I would have gave it back.
02:50So, they had to give me a time penalty, which put me back here in seventh.
02:53So, it's like a double whammy with a penalty, because you don't now get seven laps of turbo
02:58boost.
02:59I've only got five laps.
03:00So, you know, that's a bit, that's frustrating for sure, but I am on the medium, so I've just
03:05got to hang out to the end and hope for those softs will come towards me, because it's very,
03:09very hot now.
03:09I was thinking you'd done it wrong, because it's actually got, looks like, W's and fives
03:15on it there, but you're obviously looking at it upside down.
03:19I love you, Paul.
03:20Good man, I love you too.
03:21Tom, have a good one.
03:22Let's go and see Doble.
03:25Follow me.
03:26Sorry, that was a bit right in your head, wasn't it?
03:28Follow me.
03:28Doble here.
03:30Oh, Mikey Doble.
03:31He's done a good job.
03:32He's on his own, so he's only got himself no teammate this year up to now.
03:37So, Mikey Doble, can I get a quick word in there?
03:40He's on the softs.
03:42Mikey, looking good, mate.
03:44It was a good first race.
03:45A bit of a battle, though, I've got to admit.
03:47Oh, absolutely.
03:48I mean, to come from P10 to P5 on the medium tyre there, get the independence win is everything
03:53we wanted, really.
03:55Obviously, in a great position here, being the second guy on the softs, so hopefully we can
03:59challenge for a podium, maybe even better.
04:01Good man.
04:02I like the sound of that.
04:02How difficult has it been without a teammate?
04:05Because data is just not there.
04:08It's literally you against you.
04:09It's like a computer game in a ghost car, isn't it?
04:11Yeah, I mean, it's a lot quieter with Aaron not around now.
04:14But no, to be fair, it's actually quite refreshing to not be burying your head in the data.
04:19It's a little bit more old school in that what I say goes.
04:23That's the feeling.
04:24That's what we're getting.
04:25The data's backing it up.
04:27Let's move on.
04:27Let's sort it out.
04:28And it's doing all right for us so far.
04:30Last question for you, fella.
04:32What's the score with this soft tyre?
04:34Have you done much running on it?
04:35What are you going to be thinking?
04:37Are you just going to go flat out?
04:38It's quite warm, so you've got to look after it.
04:40Yeah, I mean, I was even on the medium tyre there.
04:44I was trying to not preserve the tyre by going slower, but not pushing through that window of grip.
04:50Just drive slightly within it, just to preserve the tyre for the race and the same with the brakes.
04:54So I think as long as you're sensible and you're not increasing lock and spinning the wheels, then hopefully we'll be all right.
05:00I'm sure you'll be grand, mate.
05:02You're in good hands.
05:02Have a good one, Maggie Doble.
05:04Spot on.
05:04Lou, who have you got?
05:06Thank you, Paul.
05:07I am just a little bit further down on the grid with Aidan Moffat, who had, I think it's fair to say, a tough day at the office yesterday in qualifying.
05:14But you made up some good places in that first race, didn't you?
05:19Yeah, I feel Saturday isn't really my strong point, Louise, is it?
05:23Yeah, well, it was a difficult day yesterday.
05:25We had some issues with parts that ruled us kind of out of FP1, FP2.
05:32The car wasn't fully there, but it was just a knock-on effect.
05:35What we learnt from qualifying, we were a session behind.
05:38We should have learnt that FP2 and done what we'd done for race one for qualifying.
05:42So, it is what it is, I'm afraid.
05:44It's the long winter you think my bad luck's gone, and then you get to the first race, and it turns out it isn't.
05:50Well, this is a track where you've always had such good luck in the past as well, isn't it?
05:54I mean, you had to add a win here this time last year.
05:57Yeah, I've got Colin, obviously, Colin, talking to the long, helping me this weekend as well.
06:02So, watching last year back, that was a bit fun from me and his battle last year, as you say, getting the win.
06:09And, yeah, it's always a track I've loved.
06:11It was a frustrating start to this new season, this new team, new car.
06:17But, yeah, I think we've rectified that in race one a little bit.
06:20We had a quick chat with Colin earlier.
06:22What difference has it made having a driver of his calibre alongside you as you learn a new team and a new car?
06:28Yeah, I think the biggest shock for me was I thought this would be like driving my lovely old Infiniti,
06:34and it's nothing like it, so it's been having to learn to draw that line.
06:39And you have to drive this car very different.
06:42So, yeah, it's easy to listen to what someone tells you to do when that man's Colin Tarkington
06:47with his British Touring Car Championships.
06:50So, it makes it, yeah, you know you can trust him and his attention to detail.
06:54It's also an eye-opener for myself, which is nice.
06:57Wise words, a great man to have alongside him.
06:59And just a quick word before we head off for a break, just to note a sorry weekend in many ways
07:05for the West Side Racing Team, who are mourning the loss of a much-loved colleague, Bonnie.
07:09So, our thoughts are with all of Bonnie's family.
07:12The grid has formed for round two of the Quick Fit British Touring Car Championship
07:33here in the sunshine of Donington Park.
07:35Ash Sutton on pole position and Tim Harvey and David Addison in the commentary box.
07:40And so, race two is not far away.
07:44The mechanics standing by the cars, they will leave at the one-minute board when engines fire up.
07:48There is one car missing, and it is Sam Osborne's Napa Racing Ford.
07:51We understand it's got a clutch drama.
07:54There's talk of an engine change or a clutch change.
07:57Two different sources offering news that the net result is that they're still hard at work.
08:01And if the car is fixed in time, it's going to have to start from the pit lane.
08:06So, Sam Osborne would have been 16th on the grid for the moment.
08:09There is a gap.
08:10There's also a little bit of concern, maybe, around the front of Mikey Doble's Vauxhall.
08:14Lots of marshals are standing around that, and also one of the Toker technical teams.
08:20So, Mikey Doble's car, I fear, may be in trouble.
08:24Let's have a look.
08:24The marshals are leaving.
08:25No, there's a marshal with a yellow flag behind Mikey Doble's car, I can see, out of our window.
08:30And now you can join in and see the same picture.
08:32So, Toker's technical department.
08:33I mean, that's Sam Riches striding purposefully towards the grid and getting hold of the flag, saying, yes, well done, I'll do it from here.
08:39Yeah, that's so the marshals can push the car away, I assume, because the last thing Sam wants to do is actually push the car away.
08:47So, he's going to leave that to the marshals.
08:48He's much better at holding the flag.
08:50I know he's not.
08:51He's given up on that already.
08:52He was saying, unless that's to say from Mikey Doble's side of things that he can get it fired up.
08:57We'll wait and see.
08:58Either way, there's a question mark over Mikey Doble now, and that's really, really bad news for a car that's fifth on the grid.
09:04So, keep an eye on the Vox while we get to the start of this formation lap.
09:07It is Ash Sutton on pole position.
09:09It's Tom Ingram with him at the front of the grid.
09:11Green flag lap.
09:12He's now underway.
09:14And Mikey Doble's car does get going, yes.
09:17Let's just have a quick look at what's different about this race.
09:19Not just the option tyre, but now differing amounts of boost in terms of the laps available.
09:25Ash Sutton is the race one winner, has one lap.
09:27Tom Ingram has two.
09:28Dan Rowbottom at three.
09:30Jake Hill has four laps.
09:32Tom Chilton has only five, because you take the boost as you cross the line.
09:38But the amended result put Mikey Doble and Josh Cook ahead of him.
09:43So, that's why he has fewer laps but starts further back.
09:46And then everybody else outside the top seven has the maximum of eight laps worth of boost.
09:5118-lap race.
09:52So, it is therefore, as I say, five laps for Tom Chilton, six laps for Mikey Doble, seven for Josh Cook.
10:00Assuming, that is, that Mikey Doble's car is all well.
10:03The grid, then, wriggling its way down through the Craver Curves.
10:06First race was a really good touring car race, wasn't it?
10:09There was some really good racing up front, and I think Jade Edwards made the point in mid-pack it was a bit scrappy.
10:13But, good way to start this season.
10:14It was a proper touring car race, wasn't it?
10:17There were battles everywhere.
10:18We had tyres to factor in.
10:20We got tyres to factor in this time.
10:21And we're going to see the BMWs on soft tyres.
10:24Now, we know how fabulous those BMW tyres were, cars were on soft tyres on warm days last year.
10:30Let's see how it goes this year.
10:32So, all of the bit, well, Jake Hill's on soft, and so is Daryl De Leon and Charles Rayford, all on soft.
10:40Now, we've got one race worth of evidence about the soft tyre, but we're a bit later in the day now.
10:45Temperatures are slightly different, so you can't necessarily rely on all of that, I guess.
10:49We will come back to tyres, no doubt, as this race wears on.
10:53Let's just look at the grid, because as they head up towards Coppice, Ash Sutton starts on pole position.
10:59He's on the medium tyre, as dictated by the regulation.
11:02So is Tom Ingram, who lines up second.
11:04So is Dan Robotson, who lines up third.
11:06Jake Hill, fourth on the grid, and he's the leading driver on soft, ahead of Mikey Doble and then Josh Cook.
11:12Starting seventh, it's Tom Chilton.
11:14Dan Kamish is going to be eighth on the grid, ahead of Aidan Moffat.
11:18And then Chris Smiley to round out the top ten.
11:21Eleventh is where you find Dexter Patterson.
11:23He had a good run in the first race.
11:24Dan Lloyd is twelfth.
11:25Ronan Pearson for thirteenth, ahead of Max Hall.
11:29He's going on the soft tyre.
11:30So is Daryl De Leon.
11:31Sam Osborne should have been sixteenth, but we'll see whether he joins in for the pits.
11:35Charles Rainford, Michael Kreese come next.
11:37Then Gordon Shedden and Stephen Jelley.
11:39Nicholas Hamilton will be twenty-first on the grid.
11:43And then James Dorlin.
11:45Aaron Taylor-Smith was stopped with an alternator problem in the first race.
11:49Adam Morgan with damage, and Adam is going to be on the soft tyre here.
11:52So the cars make their way to the chicane.
11:59Other people have rather different priorities at the moment as the cars come up then to the grid.
12:04Yeah, ironic for Aaron Taylor-Smith to DNF the very first race of the year.
12:09He scored points in every single race last year.
12:12He was the only driver to do it.
12:13And that's remarkable consistency, given the hustle and bustle of BTCC racing.
12:19So for him to start this year off with a DNF is ironic.
12:22It is somewhat, isn't it?
12:24So then, it is Jake Hill, the best placed on the grid on the soft tyre.
12:28Daryl De Leon there coming up to the grid.
12:30He dropped away, really, on the last lap of the first race.
12:32Charles Rainford we know about, because he had that trip through the gravel.
12:36This is the view from Matt Hall's car.
12:40Mikey Doble did not have enough volts in the battery to crank it, we understand from Sam Riches.
12:45That was why there was the concern around that car.
12:47But it did fire up, and let's hope that he doesn't have any further dramas in the course of the race.
12:52Or, indeed, getting off the grid now.
12:54Yeah, or, indeed, sort of a battery voltage during the race that then stops it.
12:58Yeah, so then, the last few cars coming back into place, and we look forward then to more drama.
13:06There is, obviously, a lot of attention around the car of Mikey Doble from the pit wall,
13:10but the green flag at the back says that everybody is where they need to be, ready to go racing.
13:14Round two of the Quick Fit British Touring Car Championship here at Donington is ready to go.
13:19The drivers look towards the lights, which go red.
13:22Blast off, and a good getaway this time once more by Sutton.
13:25Lots of wheelspin and tar smoke from Dan Rowbottom, and that means Jake Hill jumped him
13:30in that quick-starting BMW on the run down towards Redgate.
13:33Mikey Doble is right up behind Rowbottom as well.
13:35They round Redgate, Sutton leads, Ingram, Hill is up to third.
13:38Cook on the outside line, tries to clear Doble, then the black and gold Honda comes up on the outside,
13:44and they drop downhill for the first time with Ash Sutton then in the lead.
13:48Yeah, load of wheelspin from Rowbottom's car.
13:50That cost him a position to Jake Hill, going right there.
13:57One of the restart Hyundai's.
13:59Not sure whether that was Dan Lloyd or Smiley.
14:02Chris Smiley, I think.
14:02Yeah.
14:03So he drops back in the queue, but avoids damage.
14:06Lifts the fight on in the race, then as the cars here dive up towards McLean.
14:09There is Dan Lloyd.
14:10As further back, Rowbottom is on the defensive against Josh Cook.
14:12As they come up towards Coppice now, through that double apex right they come.
14:16Cook under attack from Doble.
14:17He, in turn, is attacking Rowbottom.
14:19The two leaders have already dropped Jake Hill, but let's see what develops at the chicane.
14:23Ingram looking really committed.
14:24Big, big effort there being made on the inside against Max Hall by the BMW.
14:28But it is Sutton just fending off Ingram.
14:30Remember, there is a lap leading point.
14:33Everybody who crosses the timing line in the lead gets a bonus point.
14:36So Sutton did that in race one.
14:38He's doing it again in race two.
14:39Dust is settling at the chicane.
14:41The boys are back in town.
14:42And unlike race one, Sutton and Ingram on the same tyres in this race.
14:48Sutton was on the soft in race one.
14:49So this is his first race experience on the media.
14:53Ingram, of course, had his car absolutely dialed in.
14:55He was very quick down this section of the track and still looks to be quick.
15:01Through.
15:01They turn then up towards the old hairpin.
15:04And a drive-thru penalty for Mikey Doble.
15:08A drive-thru penalty for 88 Mikey Doble.
15:11Now that I suspect may have been because of people working on the car after the one minute board.
15:14But a drive-thru, he will cop.
15:16So that's bad news for the man in sixth place.
15:18Wow, Ingram's got some tremendous pace.
15:21He's absolutely all over the back of Sutton's car.
15:25There are places where Ingram's car just looks like it's in different league.
15:29Whether he's on the boost this lap and Sutton isn't, I can't tell.
15:34But he seems to have a lot of pace.
15:36Look, he's absolutely all over it.
15:37And while they're squabbling, Jake Hill has caught up to them.
15:40And Josh Cook's got fourth away from Rowbottom.
15:42So this is developing nicely, isn't it?
15:44Sutton over the line.
15:45Ingram really trying to harry the car ahead of him as they come through.
15:49Down to Redgate.
15:50And Tom Ingram thinks about a dive, but he's not going to do it there.
15:53Jake Hill is almost on the back of them.
15:55What a difference a day makes.
15:57Yesterday, the BMW is struggling now in the lead battle.
15:59And Hill has got good speed coming out of Redgate.
16:01Almost pushing Ingram in towards Hollywood.
16:04In fourth place, it's Cook.
16:05Rowbottom's down to fifth.
16:07Chilton is sixth.
16:08Seventh is Camish.
16:09Eighth is Moffat.
16:10Ninth is Lloyd.
16:11Tenth is Dexter Patterson going really well.
16:13And that shuffle has all come because of having the pit stop.
16:16Mikey Doble there.
16:17There was contact just there going into the old hairpin
16:20as we cut away from the frame
16:21to see Mikey Doble re-emerging from the pits.
16:24And it looks like someone's been through the gravel
16:26on the exit of the old hairpin.
16:28But at the front, look at the train of cars.
16:30Josh Cook's on the back of them.
16:32He's been going forwards in this race, unlike race one,
16:34where he was under attack from all and sundry.
16:37In fact, that contact with the tyres at the chicane
16:40closed off the exhaust pipe,
16:42which is why he was then limited on his speed on the straights.
16:45But this race, he's going well.
16:47And he's on the soft tyre, as is Jake Hill.
16:49And so at the moment, those on the soft pushing forward,
16:52but they're not going to last race long.
16:53We saw that earlier on in the day.
16:55Leaders come through.
16:56Sutton still hanging on in there.
16:57Ingram second.
16:58Jake Hill third.
16:59Josh Cook fourth.
17:00Robotson fifth.
17:01Then it's Chilton sixth.
17:02And Chilton's just on the fastest lap of the race.
17:04He was a winner here two years ago.
17:05Don't forget, as now,
17:06Ingram thinks about the inside line against Sutton.
17:09Still can't do it.
17:10Here comes Hill on the outside of Ingram.
17:12Here comes Cook up the inside of both of them.
17:14This is Jake Hill new,
17:16and it's just going to be Ingram that slots in ahead of him.
17:18Cook alongside Hill for third place.
17:20Inside line for the old hairpin.
17:21Cookie goes through.
17:22Great move.
17:23Brilliant racing.
17:25Brilliant side-by-side racing at 125 miles an hour,
17:29plus down the craner curves.
17:31Superb opportunism from Josh Cook.
17:33He saw that move.
17:35He read it coming,
17:36and just put his car inside Jake Hill.
17:39Look at the speed of Ingram's car
17:42around the top of McLean's and Coppies.
17:44He's absolutely flying there.
17:47Absolutely right.
17:47Josh Cook, then,
17:48the best of those on the soft tyre.
17:50Sutton goes defensive.
17:51Ingram comes up alongside.
17:52Josh Cook works out
17:53where there might be a Honda-sized gap,
17:55but Tom Ingram is about to go for the race lead,
17:57but he's on the wrong line for the corner.
17:59Sutton says,
17:59No, you don't.
18:00And Ash will still lead
18:01at the end of lap number four.
18:03Ingram second.
18:04Cook third.
18:05And absolutely flying.
18:06Hill fourth as they come across the stripe.
18:08Robotton just fending off Chilton.
18:10And then seventh is Camish,
18:12and it's those seven in a queue for the race lead.
18:14This is an absolute barnstorming race, isn't it?
18:18Welcome back to Touring Cars 2025 style.
18:21Nothing has been lost from this championship.
18:24We've got some great racing
18:25amongst different cars
18:27right at the head of the field.
18:29Driving standards flag.
18:30Dan Rowbottom for track limits.
18:32Leading seven then,
18:33going through the old hairpin.
18:34Eighth, Moffett.
18:35Ninth, De Leon.
18:36Tenth, Patterson.
18:37See, you've got two waves at the moment.
18:38There's that leading septet
18:40and then everybody else in a queue behind them.
18:42Sutton can't get away.
18:43Can't shake them off.
18:45But what he can do is defend.
18:46And he's proved that on many an occasion.
18:48So the race leader heads now
18:51up towards Coppice's corner.
18:54But if anything,
18:54maybe it's all eyes now on Josh Cook
18:56to see what he can do
18:57with the tighter line out of Coppice
18:58and he'll be on the attack against Ingram.
19:00Well, that's those softer tyres.
19:02He can turn tight around Coppice,
19:05but how long will they last on Josh Cook's car?
19:09And Ash Sutton knows
19:10that the best form of defence
19:11is to have another car on the car behind you.
19:13So it's helping him having Josh Cook
19:15all over the back of Ingram.
19:16So the leaders go through
19:19half a second covering the top three.
19:22Cook right on the back of Ingram.
19:23He doesn't make a dive on the inside at Redgate.
19:25There's one on the grass in the background
19:27that looks possibly like a Toyota.
19:30So the leaders come through
19:31and no, it's not a Toyota,
19:33it's a Hyundai.
19:34Dan Lloyd has got a problem
19:35and has ground to a halt on the grass.
19:37Three into one might just about go
19:39as Kreese and Jelly and Rainford
19:41do survive Redgate.
19:43But Dan Lloyd, sadly, out of the race.
19:45Yeah, Kreese trying to get two places
19:47for one there.
19:48He's loving his return to the BTCC.
19:51He's only got the first five races, though,
19:54before that car will be taken over
19:55by Senna Proctor for the rest of the year.
19:58They're splitting that drive between them
19:59for budgetary reasons.
20:03Yeah, the first five events for Michael Kreese,
20:05so that brings Senna Proctor in mid-season,
20:07doesn't it, at Croft's home circuit.
20:08So race leaders come then down
20:10towards the chicane
20:11and Tom Ingram
20:13a little bit further ahead
20:14this lap of Josh Cook,
20:16but Ash Sutton still sponge-like.
20:18Soaks up the pressure
20:19to the chicane.
20:20The three leaders as one.
20:22Good battle still between
20:23Rowbottom and Chilton.
20:24Dan Rowbottom keeping
20:25the Team Virtue Hyundai behind him
20:27as they come over the line.
20:29That's the Jelly-Kreese battle.
20:31Stephen Jelly still ahead
20:32and still adapting
20:33to front-wheel drive cars
20:34after so much time in BMWs
20:36or, of course, Carrera Cup.
20:39Leaders out of Redgate there.
20:40We're currently on lap seven.
20:43It's flown by, hasn't it, thus far.
20:44Josh Cook still third,
20:46but maybe now just starting
20:48to struggle a bit
20:49with those softs
20:49because he's asked a lot of them thus far.
20:51Yeah, and you'll see the light
20:52flashing in
20:53Ingram's side window
20:56indicating that he's using boost
20:58on this lap.
20:59I don't know whether Sutton is,
21:01but he's catching up to him.
21:02Look.
21:04Yeah, Cook was on the boost
21:05coming out of the old hairpin
21:06and Ash Sutton's still leading the way,
21:09but they've got to be careful,
21:10of course,
21:10with what they do
21:11in terms of boost
21:12because they've got
21:12a different number of laps.
21:14Ash Sutton's only got one lap's worth,
21:15Ingram two.
21:16Josh Cook's got seven.
21:17So he's got the advantage there.
21:19He can be a little bit more cavalier
21:21because he knows
21:22he's got a lot more in the bank.
21:24He's got to measure that, though,
21:25against the longevity
21:26of the soft tyre.
21:27Yeah, difficult.
21:28And he's been very aggressive
21:29in these early laps, hasn't he?
21:31Yeah.
21:34Now, this was Dan Lloyd
21:37getting run out wide,
21:39but he didn't really get back on track.
21:41So clearly there was a problem,
21:43as we'd seen.
21:44And that was Gordon Shedden
21:45versus Max Hall.
21:47That's no way to treat
21:48a triple champion.
21:49No.
21:50No respecter, is he,
21:51of a man with
21:53the most victories
21:54of anyone currently on the grid?
21:56Gordon Hu, says Max Hall.
21:58Right, the three leaders then.
21:59Down to the old hairpin.
22:00Ash Sutton led onto this lap
22:01by six tenths of a second.
22:03Still looking very strong up front.
22:05A good BMW battle here.
22:06Aidan Moffat versus Daryl De Leon.
22:08Different liveries,
22:09but of course WSR
22:10operating the two cars.
22:12Daryl De Leon
22:13stepping to WSR
22:15up from Unlimited
22:15and Aidan Moffat to WSR
22:18after driving
22:19in a Toyota last year.
22:21And De Leon with a flash
22:22of the headlights
22:23does force a mistake out
22:24and Moffat tries to get
22:25up the inside at Coppice
22:26and will go through.
22:29Yeah, Moffat thought better of it.
22:30He sort of closed the door
22:31a bit aggressively,
22:32didn't he,
22:33coming out and playing to them.
22:34Thought better of doing it again,
22:35going into Coppice
22:38and that was the right thing to do.
22:39Situation staying the same
22:41at the front
22:42and Jake Hillsby
22:43just keeping his car tidy
22:47and clean
22:47and no damage at all.
22:49He hasn't really got involved.
22:51He's obviously hoping
22:52the race is going to come to him
22:53later in the race.
22:54Gordon Shedden,
22:54you've just seen,
22:55get past Max Hall.
22:56So after being run out wide
22:58earlier on,
22:59Gordon Shedden
23:00has just picked up
23:00a driving standards flag
23:01for track limits
23:02at Turn 7 and Turn 10
23:03but he has gained a place.
23:05Max Hall then
23:05down towards Redgate.
23:07He is currently squabbling
23:08with James Dorland
23:09and Aaron Taylor-Smith.
23:11Here in the meantime,
23:12Dan Kamish
23:13is on the attack
23:14against Dan Rowbottom
23:15because Kamish
23:16has got past Chilton
23:17and Kamish
23:18is absolutely flying.
23:19He is now, isn't he?
23:20He's just suddenly
23:21put on a spurt
23:22and he's being let through
23:24there by Rowbottom
23:25because probably Robo
23:26can see himself
23:27that Kamish
23:28is on a charge
23:29at this point
23:30having, as you say,
23:31overtaken Chilton
23:32as well.
23:34And mindful also,
23:35those BMWs
23:36are not that far behind
23:37as Dorland and Taylor-Smith,
23:38the two Toyota
23:39Pazoo Racing UK
23:40teammates go through
23:42and behind them
23:43is Ronan Pearson
23:44who is in 17th spot now.
23:47So those three Toyotas
23:49evenly matched
23:49have got Charles Rainford
23:50to BMW behind
23:51and down they come
23:52towards the chicane
23:53then as Sutton
23:53still leads the way.
23:56Nine laps done
23:57just by the race leaders
23:58and formation flying
24:01from the Toyotas
24:02is now interrupted
24:02by the BMW.
24:03Charles Rainford
24:04gets ahead of Ronan Pearson
24:05that's going to put him
24:06into 17th place.
24:07Charles Rainford
24:07in only his second
24:09touring car race.
24:10Nice, neat move though.
24:11Done with no drama.
24:15And a big dive there
24:16being made
24:17by Aaron Taylor-Smith
24:19up the inside
24:19of James Dorland.
24:20Goes through,
24:21goes wide.
24:22Dorland fights back
24:23on the inside.
24:24James may be a GT racer
24:25but he came out of
24:26one-mate Clio type racing
24:28so he knows all about
24:28how to race hard
24:29but Taylor-Smith stays ahead
24:31as they swoop downhill.
24:32Yeah, surge is passed
24:33on the left-hand part
24:34doesn't he?
24:35But that BMW
24:36looks really racy behind.
24:38Yeah, that's caught
24:39them up significantly
24:41but don't forget
24:42Rainford is on the
24:42soft tyre
24:43and that seems to be
24:45coming into its own
24:45on the BMW.
24:46Does indeed,
24:47doesn't it?
24:48So as Charles Rainford
24:49turns up towards
24:50McLean's
24:51let's see whether he
24:52can make a dive
24:53of a moment.
24:54These are all kind of
24:55squabbling for the last
24:56championship point.
24:57through goes Rainford
24:58up the inside
24:59so that will give him
25:00then 15th place now.
25:0316th place I should say.
25:05Taylor-Smith is the one
25:06in the final points
25:07playing place
25:08as the leaders go by.
25:09Now look,
25:10Cook has really dropped
25:11off the back
25:11into the clutches of Hill
25:13but they're on the same
25:13type of tyre.
25:14The lead gap is 3 tenths.
25:16Bad news for Sutton
25:17in a sense all of this
25:18because with Ingram
25:19no longer defending
25:20Tom can start attacking
25:21again for the lead.
25:22Absolutely right, yeah.
25:24He's now battled
25:25once again between
25:26these two maestros
25:28of touring cars
25:29of this era
25:30Sutton and Ingram
25:31both on the same tyre
25:33and still plenty
25:35of laps to go.
25:36Black and white flag
25:37for Michael Kreese
25:39and also for
25:42Adam Morgan.
25:43Adam Morgan.
25:44Max Hall on the attack.
25:46Staying with Gordon
25:46Shedden.
25:47They may have traded
25:47the place
25:48but he's not dropped
25:48back from Gordon
25:49or Gordon's not pulled
25:50away depending on
25:51which way you want
25:51to look at it.
25:52So the unlimited
25:52motorsport Cupra
25:54going after the TGR UK
25:55Corolla
25:56up to McLean's
25:57and if anything
25:58Max Hall better
25:58on the brakes there
25:59bringing the gap
25:59down a fraction.
26:01Yeah,
26:02it's very hard
26:03for us to see
26:04sometimes when
26:05someone's on the
26:05on the boost
26:06or not isn't it
26:07but it's making
26:07quite a difference
26:08to the racing.
26:09Yeah, definitely.
26:10Max Hall back up
26:11the inside
26:12and both on the boost
26:14here come down
26:15to the chicane
26:15Gordon Shedden
26:16just ahead
26:17but Max Hall
26:18stands his ground
26:19on the inside line
26:20and is going to
26:21retake the place
26:22through he goes.
26:23Gordon Shedden
26:23had run out of boost
26:24for that lap
26:25as he got towards
26:26the chicane
26:26Max Hall goes by
26:27he's on the boost
26:28again coming out
26:29of the chicane
26:29to try and edge
26:30away
26:30so good good move
26:32that by Max
26:32and he's up now
26:33into 13th place.
26:35Because of course
26:36the drivers are
26:37saving their boost
26:38or using it
26:38at different parts
26:39of the track
26:40the engineers
26:41can't tell them
26:42when the other
26:42driver's using it
26:43so it makes it
26:44a lot more guesswork
26:45and a lot more
26:46strategic
26:46within the racing.
26:49Now Ash Sutton
26:50has yet to use
26:50his boost
26:51he only had one lap
26:52and he still has
26:53one lap to use
26:53Tom Ingram had two laps
26:55he's got one lap
26:56to use
26:56Josh Cook
26:57had seven laps
26:58and he's used
26:59six of them
26:59so now
27:00the drivers
27:02oh that's Cook
27:02with the problem
27:03Rainford there
27:04but in the background
27:04of the previous shot
27:05was Josh Cook
27:06off the road
27:07there's a puncture
27:07on the back
27:08of Rainford's car
27:09the right rear
27:09has gone
27:10and there is
27:11Cook's problem
27:12that's the front
27:12left puncture
27:13he was way off
27:13in the gravel
27:14and Josh Cook
27:15punctured tyre
27:15limps round
27:17Coppice
27:17so Cook in trouble
27:18Rainford in trouble
27:19and this is how
27:20Jake Hill
27:20saw it all develop
27:22just goes back
27:23well we knew
27:24that the left front
27:25was vulnerable
27:26it happened to
27:27Dan Kamish
27:27on the first race
27:29so it's the left
27:30front on the
27:31front wheel drive
27:31cars that's vulnerable
27:32it's the left rear
27:34on the rear
27:34wheel drive
27:35car
27:35that's the hardest
27:36working tyre
27:37on the rear
27:38wheel drive
27:38car
27:38so two guys
27:40third soft tyre
27:41puncture we've had
27:42now
27:42so Jake Hill
27:44will no doubt
27:44be given that
27:45news about
27:46Charles Rainford's
27:46travails
27:47and temper his pace
27:48accordingly
27:49Josh Cook's gonna
27:49have to pit
27:50he does so
27:51Michael Kreese
27:51there battling
27:52with Stephen
27:53Jelly with
27:53Rodan Pearson
27:54Kreese in the
27:55middle
27:55Jelly ahead
27:56Pearson behind
27:57Taylor Smith
27:58back into the
27:58pit lane as
27:59well
27:59he had
27:59alternated
28:00dramas in
28:00race one
28:01problems persist
28:02in race two
28:03race leader in
28:04the meantime
28:04is Ash Sutton
28:05six tenths of a
28:06second to the
28:06good over Tom
28:07Ingram
28:07so the race
28:09order is
28:10Sutton
28:10Ingram
28:10Hill
28:11third
28:11Camish
28:11fourth
28:12Robottom
28:12fifth
28:13Chilton
28:13sixth
28:14Daryl Deleon
28:14seventh
28:15eighth
28:16Aidan
28:16Moffat
28:16ninth
28:17Dexter
28:17Patterson
28:17tenth
28:18Chris
28:18Smiley
28:18huge
28:21disappointment
28:22for Josh
28:22Cook
28:22he was going
28:23so well
28:24and he
28:25hasn't got
28:25the luxury
28:26that say
28:27Dan
28:27Camish
28:28did
28:28of doing
28:28it under
28:28a safety
28:29car
28:29so he's
28:32going to
28:32lose a lot
28:32of places
28:33and of course
28:34he's going to
28:34miss out on
28:35the opportunity
28:35to benefit
28:36from the
28:36reverse grid
28:37so is
28:37Charles
28:38Rainford
28:38who has
28:39parked the
28:39car
28:39big big
28:40shame
28:40that
28:40Charles
28:41was really
28:41buzzing
28:41after yesterday's
28:42qualifying
28:42but it's
28:43been a
28:43tougher race
28:44day
28:44so up
28:46front
28:46it's the
28:47old
28:47stages
28:48isn't it
28:48it's
28:48Ash Sutton
28:49versus Tom
28:49Ingram
28:49as everybody
28:50else around
28:50them has
28:51dramas
28:51Ash Sutton
28:52still leading
28:53the way
28:53still got
28:54his one
28:54lap of
28:54boost
28:54to use
28:55if Ingram
28:56gets close
28:56enough
28:56they both
28:57know how
28:58to win
28:58races
28:58they also
28:59both know
29:00how to win
29:00championships
29:01and went
29:01to bank
29:01points
29:02very
29:02very good
29:03point
29:03and you
29:04feel that
29:05Ingram's
29:06charge was
29:07very much
29:07in those
29:08early laps
29:08but having
29:09been resisted
29:10he's
29:10just taking
29:12the points
29:12at the
29:12moment
29:13but Sutton
29:14now has
29:14a track
29:15limits
29:15warning
29:15that means
29:16one more
29:17offence
29:18and it's
29:18a five
29:18second penalty
29:19so if
29:20ever there
29:21was a time
29:21for Ingram
29:22to put the
29:22pressure on
29:22it's now
29:23to try and
29:24force him
29:24into a
29:24track
29:25limits
29:25penalty
29:26and no
29:26and no doubt
29:27Spencer
29:27Aldridge
29:27Tom's
29:28engineer
29:29the other
29:30part
29:30of the
29:30double
29:31act
29:31will be
29:31on the
29:31radio
29:31saying
29:32right
29:32ash is on
29:33that bubble
29:34if you like
29:35now really do
29:36put the pressure
29:36on it
29:37see what you
29:37can do
29:37force a mistake
29:38let's see
29:38whether we can
29:39capitalize on that
29:40because it is still
29:42the Napa racing
29:42forward ahead
29:43the team
29:43Vertu Hyundai
29:44in second place
29:45they come across the line
29:46half a second
29:47is all that splits them
29:48and then third
29:49very nearly four seconds
29:51back is Jake Hill
29:52but he's going for points
29:53as here
29:54Gordon Shedden
29:54goes back ahead
29:55of Max Hall
29:56now Tom Ingram
29:57gets a driving
29:58standards flag
29:59so all bets are off
30:00any advantage
30:01he thought he might
30:02have had
30:02has already gone
30:03he probably incurred
30:04that by pushing
30:05so here
30:08is the fight
30:09that is currently
30:10for 12th place
30:11Shedden Hall
30:12sounds like a
30:12stately home
30:13but it's Gordon Shedden
30:14ahead of Max Hall
30:15and a great fight
30:15it has been
30:16they've been trading
30:16the place throughout
30:17yeah it's been a great
30:19battle between these two
30:20and it just shows
30:21you know
30:21that the boost
30:22really works this year
30:25it's created a lot
30:26of overtaking
30:27and repassing
30:29it's been
30:29look
30:30Ingram is getting
30:31a charge on
30:32he's getting closer
30:33I'm sure that gap's
30:34come down a little bit
30:35for the final few laps
30:37just to finish
30:38the Max Hall point
30:39he's on soft as well
30:40which is playing a part
30:41no doubt
30:42Gordon Shedden
30:42on the harder tyre
30:43and maybe late race
30:45Gordon's going to have
30:45that advantage
30:46as we are almost
30:47at the end
30:48of a so far
30:49uninterrupted race
30:51it is a pair
30:52for the lead
30:52Sutton and Ingram
30:53it's a pair for third
30:54I reckon Kamish
30:55might jump Hill
30:56by the end of this
30:56because have you got
30:57away from Rowbottom
30:58he's getting closer
30:59to Jake Hill
31:0011 tenths
31:01has just become
31:02half a second
31:02Kamish for the podium
31:03that could be on
31:04could be on
31:04but the BMWs
31:06are still going well
31:07the hands of
31:07Hill
31:08Moffat
31:09De Leon
31:09all in the top eight
31:11at the moment
31:12it looks like
31:13that could change
31:14Darrell De Leon
31:15and Dexter Patterson
31:16for Unlimited Motorsport
31:17round the outside
31:18that is a really brave effort
31:20Chris Smiley
31:20gets up the inside
31:22Darrell De Leon
31:22doesn't know
31:23which way to go
31:24they all make contact
31:25they rub
31:25and Chris Smiley
31:26dives through
31:27past the pair
31:28brilliant move
31:29great job
31:30passing two
31:31read that situation
31:32absolutely perfectly
31:34got a great run
31:35out of Redgate
31:36that was a superb
31:38move by Chris Smiley
31:39move of the day
31:40maybe
31:41well there are plenty
31:41on to choose from
31:42as the leaders
31:43go by
31:44so
31:45here is
31:46Ash Sutton
31:46you can see the laps
31:47ticking on down
31:48we're on lap 16
31:49of 18
31:50and this is the fight
31:51for third
31:51I said Camish
31:52for the podium
31:52was on
31:53well he's not quite
31:54cleared Hill
31:54but he's almost there
31:55in terms of boost
31:56Jake's got a lap left
31:58and Dan Camish
31:58has two laps left
31:59so he can use it
32:00on the last two laps
32:02which are coming up
32:03tires didn't he
32:05but he got away with that
32:06it was over the line
32:07they come
32:07look back
32:07from Hill's BMW
32:08across the line
32:10that gives us
32:11two laps to go
32:12third place margin
32:13is 0.3880
32:15for second
32:15Jake Hill
32:16soft tyre
32:17Dan Camish
32:18tucked up behind
32:19here on the medium
32:19the harder tyre
32:20well Camish
32:22will be on the charge
32:23this lap
32:24I'm absolutely sure
32:25because Hill
32:26will be saving
32:27his last lap
32:28of boost
32:28for the last lap
32:29so this is the best
32:30opportunity Camish
32:31has got
32:32this is Cook
32:34fighting back
32:35after his tyre change
32:37but he's a lap
32:39down isn't he
32:40Josh Cook
32:40so although he's
32:41racing on the track
32:42it's just down
32:44his limitation
32:44he needs lots of
32:45people to fall
32:45off ahead of him
32:46Adam Morgan
32:47by the way
32:48there
32:48the head of the queue
32:49he's in 10th place
32:50now that's quite a
32:51recovery
32:51from 24th
32:53on the grid
32:54here is the battle
32:55for third
32:55Camish up the inside
32:56yeah
32:57and if he's still
32:58got boost left
32:59he'll use it on
33:00this back straight
33:01pull clear
33:02he's ahead
33:03look at that
33:03look at it go
33:04that is the effect
33:05of boost
33:05ladies and gentlemen
33:06and one car has it
33:08and the other doesn't
33:08but they'll both have it
33:10for the last lap
33:11so it'll be
33:12situation equal
33:13although Camish
33:14has picked up
33:15a black and
33:16a white warning flag
33:18so no track limits
33:19on this final lap
33:19as we go back
33:20to our leader
33:21Sutton just in front
33:23of Ingram
33:24by half a second
33:25so for the final time
33:27they drop down
33:28through the crater curves
33:29and I think Tom Ingram
33:30is content
33:31at least
33:31if not happy
33:32to settle for the points
33:33for second place
33:34but another great drive
33:35by Ash Sutton
33:36and again
33:37you put the regulation in
33:39about only the top three
33:40needing to run
33:41the harder tyre
33:42you're going to end up
33:43with the same top two
33:43it's one of the quirks
33:44of the championship
33:45as Jelly battles
33:46with Doble
33:47who of course
33:48is also on the recovery
33:49after his drive-through
33:50Stephen Jelly
33:51passes for 15th place
33:52the last point
33:5312th by the way
33:54it's Gordon Shedden
33:55now the reverse grid
33:57he might yet find himself
33:58on pole
33:59if we were at
34:00Knock Hill
34:00it would be a dead serve
34:01Ash Sutton
34:04is on target
34:05for a second win
34:07of the day
34:07for career win
34:08number 44
34:09and another great drive
34:12looking after
34:13not only the tyres
34:14but the boost
34:15he's still got a lap left
34:16he hasn't used it
34:17he's been able
34:17just on pure pace
34:19to defend
34:19Ash Sutton wins
34:21round two of the championship
34:22at Donington
34:23second across the line
34:24Tom Ingram
34:25and for third place
34:26it is going to be
34:27Dan Kamish then
34:28with Jake Hill
34:29for fourth
34:30fifth
34:31is Dan Rowbottom
34:32and Tom Chilton
34:33rounds out
34:34the top six
34:35we've had some great racing
34:37no doubt about that
34:38Aidan Moffat's on target
34:40for seventh
34:40in eighth place
34:42Chris Smiley
34:42Dexter Patterson
34:43ninth
34:44brilliant result
34:44for Unlimited Motorsport
34:46in tenth place
34:47Adam Morgan
34:47from 24th on the grid
34:49Gordon Shedden
34:50eleventh
34:50and Daryl De Leon
34:51twelfth
34:52and another place
34:53gained for Gordon Shedden
34:54towards the end
34:54it's going to be
34:55Matt Hall
34:56thirteenth
34:56James Dawlin
34:57fourteenth
34:58and Stephen Jelly
34:58fifteenth
34:59to round out the scorers
35:00there are lots of
35:02impressive drives in that
35:03but you've got to say
35:03Adam Morgan
35:04from nearly on runway
35:05two of East Midlands Airport
35:06to tenth place
35:07that is quite a recovery
35:08yeah
35:09and delighted
35:11Ash Sutton
35:11his second win
35:12of the year
35:14out of two
35:15the Napa Racing Alliance
35:17team
35:17very very happy
35:18indeed
35:19this is back to
35:212023
35:22sort of form
35:24isn't it
35:24and it'll give
35:25Ash Sutton
35:26a lot of inspiration
35:27for the rest of this year
35:28for sure
35:29the top soft runner
35:30was Jake Hill
35:31in fourth
35:32but clearly
35:33it was
35:34fading for some
35:35of the front
35:35front wheel
35:36drive cars
35:37towards the end
35:38of the race
35:38and the retirement
35:39Aaron Taylor
35:40Smith
35:40Charles Rainford
35:42Dan Lloyd
35:43so
35:44Dan Lloyd's
35:46problem
35:46is harder
35:47to judge
35:47we saw him
35:48slow through
35:48the chicane
35:49get forced out
35:49wide
35:50but that was
35:50the end
35:51of him
35:51Charles Rainford
35:52was puncture
35:53related
35:54and Aaron Taylor
35:54Smith
35:55had an alternator
35:56problem
35:56in the first race
35:57it may well
35:57have been a
35:58recurrence
35:58of that
35:59or
35:59something similar
36:01so big
36:01disappointment
36:01for Aaron
36:02Tim made the
36:03point before
36:04the start
36:04of the race
36:04he scored
36:05points in
36:05every one
36:06last year
36:07all 30
36:07and sadly
36:08he's not
36:08finished either
36:09of the two
36:09thus far
36:10this season
36:10so from one
36:11extreme to the
36:11other
36:11Ash Sutton
36:12works his way
36:13back to the
36:14pit lane
36:14offline
36:15making sure
36:16the pick up
36:16is there
36:16so that the
36:17ride height
36:17is good
36:18the weight
36:18of the car
36:18is good
36:19and Ash Sutton
36:21makes his way
36:23to the pit lane
36:23well what a day
36:24he's having
36:24so far
36:25because he
36:26has taken
36:26the two wins
36:27and of course
36:27the bonus points
36:28for leading the
36:29lap
36:29fastest lap
36:30in that second
36:31race though
36:31Tom Chilton
36:32illustrating
36:32even though
36:33we're talking
36:33about the
36:34Napa Racing
36:34Ford
36:34as the race
36:35winning car
36:36you can see
36:37the pace
36:38that the
36:38Hyundais
36:39have got
36:39not only
36:40in terms
36:40of what
36:40Ingram
36:40is up to
36:41but
36:41Chilton's
36:42fastest lap
36:43and also
36:43in that race
36:44sixth place
36:44but also
36:45Adam Morgan
36:4524th to
36:4610th
36:46you know
36:46those cars
36:47have got
36:47good speed
36:48as the
36:49Hyundais
36:50of Chris
36:51Smiley
36:51and prior

43:17few weeks
43:17and yeah
43:17for all
43:18our sponsors
43:19and everyone
43:19who helps
43:20us to go
43:20racing
43:20you know
43:21it's a
43:21it's a
43:22really positive
43:22start to the
43:23year
43:23and those
43:24two races
43:24this morning
43:25that we've
43:25had this
43:25morning
43:25it's the
43:26first two
43:26races that
43:27I've actually
43:27really enjoyed
43:27in a long
43:28time
43:28because we've
43:29got something
43:29we can compete
43:30with you know
43:30and to put
43:32all the hard
43:32work in over
43:33the winter
43:33and come in the
43:33first round
43:34and you know
43:34be at the
43:35front of the
43:36independence
43:36which we're
43:37an independent
43:37team
43:37it's good
43:39feeling
43:39well done
43:39good stuff
43:40well done
43:40you
43:40right we are
43:41now going
43:42to go over
43:42to Steve
43:42to find out
43:43where everyone
43:44is going to
43:44be lining up
43:45for the
43:45final touring
43:46car race
43:47of the day
43:47it's the
43:47reverse grid
43:48draw
43:48thanks Louise
43:50I'm standing
43:51by with Ash
43:51Sutton to make
43:52the reverse
43:52grid draw
43:53slight difference
43:53to the reverse
43:54grid procedure
43:55this year
43:55but we'll
43:56encounter those
43:57problems in a
43:58few minutes
43:58time
43:58first thing to
43:59say perfect
43:59start to the
44:00campaign
44:00couldn't ask
44:01for a better
44:02one could I
44:02so yeah
44:02mega start
44:03obviously
44:03credits and
44:04operation UK
44:05in the winter
44:06work that
44:07they've been
44:07putting in
44:07it's changed
44:08and developed
44:08the car so
44:09much so yeah
44:10see what race
44:11three brings
44:11yeah and see
44:12what the reverse
44:13grid draw
44:13brings
44:14let's just
44:14remind everyone
44:15that in the
44:16bowl here
44:17we've got
44:17drivers who
44:18relate 6
44:19through 12
44:20so we've got
44:207 balls in
44:21the drum
44:21Tom Chilton
44:23is number 6
44:23Aidan Moffat
44:24is number 7
44:25Chris Smiley
44:26is number 8
44:27Dexter Patterson
44:28number 9
44:29Adam Morgan
44:29number 10
44:30Gordon Shedden
44:31number 11
44:32and Daryl De Leon
44:33number 12
44:34the problem
44:36is I think
44:37Dan Mayo
44:37has gone to
44:38the World
44:38Snooker
44:39and got a
44:39job lot
44:39of old
44:40snooker
44:40balls
44:40just drawn
44:41a line
44:42but security
44:43reasons
44:43the number
44:44is contained
44:45within the
44:45ball
44:45exactly
44:46I mean
44:46it's pretty
44:47bulletproof
44:48in that
44:48respect
44:48yeah
44:49you won't
44:49be able to
44:50open any
44:50of them
44:50but you
44:51have a
44:51swill around
44:52here we go
44:53pull out
44:54what you can
44:54no matter
44:54what one
44:55I look at
44:55we're going
44:56to go
44:56four
44:56and then
44:58you've got to
44:58position it
44:59right
44:59well done
45:01number 6
45:02number 6
45:03I mean
45:04it works
45:04to perfection
45:04it works
45:05to perfection
45:05so far so good
45:06Tom Chilton
45:07is on pole
45:08position for
45:08our reverse
45:09grid race
45:09and your form
45:12in terms of
45:13the reverse
45:13grid draw is
45:14as good as
45:15ever
45:15yeah I mean
45:16I normally
45:17pick out 12
45:1812 is my
45:18normal one
45:19that I go to
45:19so to get a
45:206 after two
45:21race wins
45:21I'll take that
45:22and we'll see what
45:23happens
45:23and how are you
45:24going to round
45:24off today
45:25how's the team
45:25going to round
45:26off today
45:26do you reckon
45:26I think
45:27we're in a
45:28strong place
45:28with the car
45:29the soft tyre
45:29doesn't seem
45:30to be the one
45:30that we want
45:31to be on
45:31I think a few
45:32guys around us
45:33are going to
45:33go on to that
45:34now so
45:34yeah we've got
45:35the pain out
45:35the way
45:36we'll just crack
45:36on and hopefully
45:37move forward
45:38that's the plan
45:38but the hybrid
45:39is powerful
45:40here so we'll
45:40wait and see
45:41wonderful
45:41and yeah
45:42reverse grid
45:43is always a bit
45:43of a bonus
45:44what about that
45:45man Tom Ingram
45:45hanging on to
45:46your boot lid
45:46for the last
45:47two races
45:48it's just Tom
45:49Ingram all over
45:50isn't it
45:50I mean I think
45:50we're setting
45:51the precedence
45:52of how this year
45:53is going to be
45:53a proper ding dong
45:54so it's great
45:55for you guys
45:56at home
45:56the viewers
45:57hopefully we can
45:58put on a good show
45:58okay great start
46:00well done
46:01two wins
46:01and perfection
46:02on our new
46:03reverse grid draw
46:04as well
46:05okay action
46:07is about to
46:07resume out
46:08on the track
