00:00He's been going on the 18, Lussinger's fired up, you can see there on the 7 toward the inside.
00:07Can Eli Tomac get a better jump than Moto 1? It's time for Moto 2, let's go!
00:18Hunter Lawrence, Justin Cooper up front, Joey Savace finally a good start at the 17, and there's Tomac!
00:25Going to the front, he's got the lead!
00:30Eli Tomac out front, you can hear this crowd going wild, Jeff Lawrence didn't get the best to start, we saw somebody go down, and right now these guys haven't had a chance to prepare for the rain, so they really was on the game thinking it might be a sun race, and so for him, Eli Tomac did the best job out front, let's see what he can do, because if it's time, it is right now.
00:49The moment Tomac jumped into the lead is the moment the skies opened up, and speaking of opening it up, look at the lead he's built.
00:59Check out the start here, his teammate Cooper Webb, right side.
01:03Yeah, you can see Cooper Webb, left side, in the front, like he just loses his front, and easy to happen, then he gets ran over, oh, you don't get my Father's Day gift for him like that, couple other guys going down, but when you fall in the front of the pack, that's easy to happen.
01:18That was Freddie Noren there, the international racing, Kawasaki, also down there, rough start to the year for Freddie, great start to the moto, though, for ET3.
01:30Yeah, now, if I'm Eli, with all this rain, like, I'm going to try to build me a big old gap, just trying to hammer it down before this track gets really slippery, because the hard part is, you can see Jet Lawrence way back in the pack,
01:42and the way his stars have been, that's way back in the pack, I think he's outside the top 10, if I'm Eli told me, I'm going to try to get a gap, because at some point, you know, Jet's going to be more concerned about finishing this race,
01:53and if I can get it, as R.J. does, a little donut right there.
01:55Wow!
01:57Jason, you're talking about a track that's going to be difficult to race, all these shiny spots and getting slippery, oh, man, vision, again, these guys went to the gate thinking it's a dry race, so they have not prepared to, you know, prepare for this,
02:12and I don't know what they're complaining about, because it's very dry in the booth right here.
02:18James, just talking about the goggle situation, we talk about roll-offs, tear-offs of the mud, but the rain, there's really nothing you can do about that.
02:26No, it's nothing you can do, and tear-offs are almost the worst situation, if you get any water behind one of them, you almost have to yank them all off, because the way they're set up,
02:35and so, like I said, these guys didn't go to the gate thinking that it was going to be a mud race, and if anything, like it continues,
02:42it really gives Eli Tomek and these other guys an advantage to get a start.
02:46Yeah, there's a couple things they can do.
02:47I'm thinking about, sometimes they'll have the extended visor on the front of the helmet if they know it's going to rain,
02:52but I don't think anyone has it, because it wasn't raining until about 15 seconds after the gate dropped,
02:57and you see Plessinger ripping a tear off there.
03:00It's Tomek, Hunter Lawrence, Cooper, and here's Plessinger in fourth.
03:04Yeah, and the hard part is, it's like, if it's raining at this point as a rider, you just want it to keep flooding, you know,
03:10because you want it to slow this racetrack down.
03:12What would be bad if it rains like this for another few minutes, and then it stops,
03:16because you'll still have the pace, but this track is going to be ice, cold, ice, slippery out here.
03:21You can see all those shiny parts.
03:23The fact that these guys are still jumping these jumps just shows how good it is.
03:27The only benefit is that they all use the paddle tires, so they get to use it, and it works out at this point.
03:32Well, does it, or are there some spots where it's actually bad?
03:36Those hard, shiny spots as the paddle deep mud is great.
03:40What about that?
03:40Yeah, well, I just think because it's hard, shiny, it doesn't necessarily work on a hard spot,
03:46but if you have the normal, traditional tire, that thing is going to fill up with mud,
03:49so the paddle tire spits that part out, Katie.
03:52Yeah, and you guys might remember earlier when AP was beaming with the fact that he was with that moto one and all the fans,
03:58he was like, man, I just wish it had been a rain race, and of course he's getting his wish right now.
04:02This is one of those areas that he excels in, and in fact, this track in particular,
04:07the team was seeing a little bit of panic initially when he came to it,
04:10and this, as he goes off just a little bit there, but you can tell that he gets much more excited
04:15when it's one of these rain, down, and dirty type of tracks.
04:18Well, Katie, a lot of the fans here grew up watching him race.
04:21It's from Ohio not too far away, and then his dad, Scott, the AMA Hall of Famer,
04:26great mud rider in his own right.
04:27I'll tell you that, Ohio clay, nothing, nothing is worse to ride in mud than that.
04:33It gets so slippery.
04:34So these conditions right up the alley for the Plessingers,
04:38and he's putting the heat on Justin Cooper right now.
04:41Yeah, the rain's starting to slow, so it's allowing this track, this throws,
04:44it's going to be super slippery, but it's still racy, and at this point,
04:48if you don't have the roll-offs off, you want to be in front of guys.
04:51You don't want to be behind Justin Cooper that close,
04:52but, you know, same thing we talked about with Jet Lawrence in our first moto,
04:56because of the way he rides, I think this track's not going to change too much for him.
05:00It's going to be very technical.
05:02We've got to be super patient, and you can see Aaron Plessinger riffing a tear off now down,
05:06and it's stopping raining on this side of the racetrack,
05:09so a lot of different things happening at the moment.
05:14Now, by the way, as we watch Plessinger and Cooper fight for third,
05:17Jet Lawrence not making much progress.
05:19Eighth at the moment.
05:21Oh, there's Plessinger off the inside.
05:23Yeah, nice line, short time, but, yeah,
05:26Justin was able to carry that momentum around the outside,
05:28just basically continue rolling down the air,
05:31and see how slippery this thing is.
05:33Still a little bit of dust showing,
05:34so this water's just sitting on top of this racetrack,
05:38making it super slippery.
05:40And because Jet is not advancing toward the front,
05:43right now Hunter Lawrence is in position to win the overall,
05:46and believe it or not, that would actually be his first 450 Pro Moto Cross win.
05:52It was close so many times battling with Chase Sexton last year, never got one.
05:57Plessinger has been close so many times to passing.
06:00Justin Cooper hasn't been able to do it and finally does.
06:03Yeah, but don't sleep on this number seven, KTM, Aaron Plessinger,
06:08because, you know, right there just shows you that bike kicking around loose,
06:11but Aaron throws those long legs out,
06:13and that's probably why he's so comfortable in this position,
06:16because you've got to be comfortable being uncomfortable,
06:17and, you know, Aaron Plessinger knows how to make anything work,
06:21and when these tracks get conditions like this, he loves it.
06:24When in doubt, throw them big old anchors out, both of them,
06:28sit on the seat, put some weight on that thing.
06:32And that is what we saw at Foxborough Supercross earlier this year,
06:36the art of racing in the rain.
06:37He just threw those legs out and powered his way to the win.
06:40There is Hunter Lawrence in second.
06:42Do you see the overall score right now on the lower left?
06:45It would be Hunter over Tomac over Plessinger.
06:49Can Plessinger run Hunter Lawrence down?
06:52And Jett's still back there in seventh now.
06:58He's got around Cody Schock and Benoit Patrelle.
07:02And as I said at the beginning, this actually happened.
07:05Literally half the track is rating, and half it is not.
07:10Yeah, and we saw what Jett was in this position earlier this year at Hangtown.
07:14We were wondering, like, all right, how much is he going to push
07:17and try to catch these guys?
07:18Well, I think Jett, you know, age and maybe the injuries,
07:21he's just going to continue doing his thing.
07:23I think he'll just continue marching his way up.
07:25Let's not turn a, you know, a seventh place into a 13th or a 20th place.
07:31And the only way that can happen is you just try to overrun this racetrack.
07:34If you methodically pick your way up through this racetrack,
07:37just like you did in that first moto, you have the pace on these guys.
07:40You can at least get back up to possibly that top five,
07:42maybe even a podium as this race is going.
07:44But if you throw it down, it's going to be losing more than just this race.
07:49Yeah, we're talking about all the wins he has,
07:52but the main goal, of course, is the championship.
07:55So how will he play it?
07:56And it is wild to see them literally riding in and out of the rain,
08:01depending on what part of the track they're on.
08:04There's Tomac.
08:05Nearly a five-second gap now.
08:09Oh, this track is going to get so slippery.
08:13And again, it wasn't raining in the shot that we were showing Jet Lawrence,
08:16but over here it is.
08:17So, oh, Elok came prepared with the real loss.
08:22Wow.
08:26All right, smart move there.
08:28So the 32-year-old out of Colorado
08:30should be the second moto win of the year.
08:33if he can hold it as you're watching him
08:35on the Parts Unlimited leader cam.
08:38But can he get the overall?
08:40It's all hanging in the balance,
08:41at least as of Dell,
08:42between Tomac, Hunter Lawrence, and Plessinger.
08:47But then, of course, if Jet moves up,
08:49that can change the mouth as well.
08:51Yeah, these guys are so close.
08:53And right now, this gap that Eli has,
08:56about five seconds over 104 and a half seconds,
08:59he's going to just try to manage that gap.
09:01But his AP is going to have to try to do the damage to move up.
09:04Otherwise, as you said,
09:05Hunter Lawrence is still going to be able to walk away
09:07with his overall victory.
09:08And I don't know how many positions Jet will be able to make up
09:10to close that gap because Hunter finished second.
09:12So at this point,
09:13you know, these guys just got to continue racing.
09:17It's still a long ways to go.
09:1820 minutes left.
09:18And just like Plessinger and Moto 1,
09:23crowd-loving Tomac leading this.
09:26Send it back down.
09:28Well, after that last Moto,
09:30I went over to the team and said,
09:31hey, what happened?
09:32How's the vibes over here?
09:33And the team kind of scratched their head
09:34and said it was a little puzzling, that Moto.
09:37Eli Tomac coming in fifth.
09:39Remember, guys, at the top of the show,
09:40he told us the number one goal
09:43is for him to stay off the ground
09:45so he can stay on two wheels.
09:47Obviously, this is a track that is difficult
09:49as Stu you were leaning into,
09:50difficult to do so.
09:51But that's his main goal
09:53to make sure he does get the job done.
09:55Yeah.
09:56And I'm sure what they were a little puzzled at
09:58was that how quickly he was able to close on
10:00Justin Cooper running at 204,
10:02which was the fastest lifetime of anybody.
10:04And then to get stuck there
10:06almost brings you back to the Eli Tomac
10:09back in on the Kyle's hockey days
10:10before he became the champion that he is.
10:13So you just wonder yourself
10:16as we're watching Hunter Lawrence
10:17starting to close the gap a little bit on Eli.
10:19You just start to wonder, like,
10:21where did that come from?
10:22Because this guy usually should be able to,
10:24if he's got that pace,
10:25you should be able to get around him
10:26and people around you shouldn't affect you that much.
10:28And obviously it did.
10:30I think it's just more frustrating from Eli.
10:33As for Hunter here,
10:34who, like you said,
10:35is starting to close on Tomac,
10:37they've been making a lot of progress
10:38with the motorcycle.
10:39We checked in with him about that yesterday.
10:42Yeah, it was a lot closer last weekend.
10:44And a big thing in the first ones,
10:45we were working a lot on the motorcycle.
10:48Just familiarity.
10:49I wasn't willing to push it past
10:51a certain point
10:53and just not sure what the motorcycle was doing.
10:56And we've made a lot of progress on that.
10:59So just honestly,
11:00this week was just getting laps under my belt.
11:02You know, last weekend we tested
11:03leading up to Thunder Valley.
11:05Thunder Valley was the first full day
11:07of riding on that suspension setting,
11:09which was awesome.
11:10This week we got two more days on it.
11:12So, yeah,
11:13looking forward to going out and riding my bike.
11:14The team did an amazing job
11:15and we got the bike in a lot better position.
11:18And extremely thankful
11:19to have a group of great people behind us.
11:21And what was interesting,
11:23Hunter's comments after the race last week
11:25as he rides back into this rain,
11:28there's Jet catching Cevace now for sixth.
11:32So Hunter said,
11:34yeah, Jet's just a freak.
11:35He can get on a bike for the first time
11:36and just win a race on it immediately.
11:38I need some laps,
11:39some days to just get used to it.
11:41They haven't touched the bike since last Saturday.
11:43And obviously Hunter has adapted well now.
11:46Jet looking to make a pass.
11:47Yeah, you know,
11:48and I think that just comes with age.
11:50You know,
11:50Jet's a little bit younger.
11:51It's like,
11:52you know,
11:52when you tell your kids,
11:53like,
11:53don't touch that stove
11:54and they ain't got to touch it anyway.
11:55Like,
11:55look,
11:55I burnt myself.
11:56I know how hot it is.
11:57Well,
11:57I think Jet's just younger
11:58and he's like,
11:59you know what,
11:59I'm going to still go win.
12:01But Hunter,
12:02you know,
12:02just the injury
12:02and it is flooding out here right now.
12:06You know,
12:06he just takes a little bit of time
12:08to,
12:08you know,
12:09just prepare
12:10and I guess,
12:11you know,
12:12make sure everything is right.
12:13And when it is right,
12:14he can come out here
12:15and possibly have his first overall victory of the year.
12:18But it has to be right
12:19and he has to be comfortable
12:20as Jet Lawrence makes his way up.
12:22Now puts him on the podium.
12:23Tie with Eli for second place.
12:26But Eli's obviously ahead of him.
12:28So he'll give him a nod.
12:29So that's two points
12:30that Jet has just made up.
12:31He passed to Bachi
12:32on the quad lock Honda
12:33and then the monster Kawasaki of Anderson.
12:36He's looking up the track.
12:38Justin Cooper is four seconds up ahead.
12:41At the moment,
12:42Hunter Lawrence would have the overall.
12:44First ever for him.
12:45on a 450
12:46if he can get it done.
12:48Yeah,
12:48Jet's going to continue moving up.
12:50And as I mentioned,
12:51you know,
12:51just let this race come.
12:53Especially with all this rain,
12:54there's going to be mistakes made
12:55from the guys in front of you pretty easily.
12:57And I feel like even with Hunter Lawrence,
13:00he can probably close in on Eli
13:02quite a bit
13:03when it's a mud race.
13:04It's really easy to make time up,
13:06you know,
13:06and the hard part is making that pass.
13:08So he just continues doing his thing
13:10as we're watching the lead come down
13:12up front to 288.8 seconds.
13:16Chet Lawrence is starting to close on Justin Cooper as well.
13:19See if he can make his way around.
13:21And that would change a lot of things.
13:24Yeah, it'd be a 1-5 for Chet Lawrence right now.
13:29Which, as we mentioned,
13:34be tied for second overall with Tomac.
13:35But Tomac has the second moto tiebreaker.
13:38But we're not even at the halfway mark.
13:40So anything can happen.
13:42Also, with Hunter starting to close on Tomac,
13:44that could change things as well.
13:49Because if, for example,
13:52Jet were to get all the way to third
13:53and Hunter were to finish second,
13:56the 1-3 would beat the 2-2.
13:58So Jet still has a shot at it,
14:00even if he doesn't pass Hunter.
14:03But he needs to get Cooper and Plessinger.
14:05That's not going to be easy.
14:07Yeah, but he's got a really good pace.
14:09And I think the way he's riding,
14:10consistency is going to end up winning out.
14:12If he can just turn these solid laps in,
14:14as I mentioned,
14:15mistakes can be made.
14:16And he's within nine seconds of Aaron Flessinger.
14:20So if he can get around Justin Cooper
14:21and not stall out,
14:23then he can continue doing that.
14:24Maybe he can have a chance
14:25to get to that third place
14:26because then that would really change it.
14:28So overall, victory is still on the deck
14:30for Jet Lawrence if he can keep moving forward.
14:34Now, one other thing to note,
14:35the rule book says
14:36that if a race had to be called
14:38due to weather,
14:40if it's called past the 20-minute mark,
14:43the results stand as if it was a full moto.
14:45So we're about five minutes away from that.
14:48So we'll see if it gets there.
14:50Then if the race had to be cut short,
14:51that would be extreme weather,
14:53lightning, things like that.
14:54That's not the case, at least at the moment.
14:57You know, we talked,
14:58I said in the first Moto Jet,
14:59it's one of the best I've ever seen,
15:00like, you know, one adapting to the track,
15:02but, you know, his line selection is better.
15:04So he was going really far inside
15:06on a lot of corners.
15:07Now he's going outside on a lot of the corners.
15:10And the reason he's doing that
15:11is because now, you know,
15:12we talked about the paddle tire
15:13not working on this hard stuff.
15:15best place to be at is in this bluff.
15:17So you notice he basically totally switched his lines up.
15:19Yeah, he was totally inside last lap.
15:21Inside and even the corners before that,
15:24he's going outside.
15:25That's what he's so good at doing.
15:26It's just an adapting to his situation
15:28because these lines are not a difference
15:30than he was early in the race.
15:32But earlier today,
15:34kids got it going for him.
15:37Halfway through the final race of the day.
15:40A reminder that Monster Energy
15:41Energy is available at BFS Foods.
15:45Okay, so Lawrence has caught Cooper,
15:48but can he pass him in the mud?
15:50Yeah, and he's going to have to get around them
15:51pretty quick because you can notice
15:52he's starting to pull a lot of tear-offs out there
15:54and eventually he's going to run out.
15:56And then with all this mud,
15:58we saw what happened
15:58when you pull the tear-offs off
16:00if we chase X in the goggles.
16:02You know, this ain't the track.
16:03Any of these racetracks,
16:04you don't want to have to deal with that.
16:05So Jet's going to have to be mindful of this
16:07as I think he tried pulling tear-off
16:09and he doesn't have any more.
16:11Might be a problem at this point.
16:14Yeah, did he just try again?
16:16No dice?
16:19They usually do.
16:20I think he just pointed to his mechanics
16:23to let him know
16:24he doesn't have any tear-offs at this point.
16:26And now the rain's stopping.
16:27That's only going to make the mud stickier, right?
16:29Yeah, that's only going to make it worse for him
16:30because now when he gets hit with it,
16:31it's going to be that sticky mud.
16:33It's going to be tough, JT.
16:34Yeah, just wondering
16:35what the plan's going to be here.
16:37You saw him run out of tear-offs
16:38and then he's just wiping the goggles,
16:40which it can work,
16:41but it's not really a strategy, right?
16:43So we've seen this.
16:45We saw Chase Sexton lose his goggles
16:46the very first race of the year
16:48and how that went.
16:49So Jet now has a decision to make
16:50for the rest of this race.
16:52Yeah, I mean, once you,
16:53you can only get away with that
16:54one or two times
16:55and especially when it stops raining,
16:57you'll have one wipe
16:58and that mud's going to smear across
16:59and then it's going to harden up
17:00because of the wind and all that
17:02and then it's not going to come off.
17:04So eventually he's going to have to make a decision
17:06and the decision he's got to make
17:07might cost him overall
17:09because at this pace,
17:11if he rides like this,
17:12I think he'll eventually catch up
17:13to Aaron Plessinger,
17:14but if he pulls in,
17:16I think he'll lose too much time
17:17with as much time to go.
17:18So very interesting decision
17:20he's going to have to make
17:21if he ends up pulling his goggles off.
17:23that you can already start to see him
17:24backing off of Justin Cooper
17:26or maybe vision problems
17:28or maybe trying to save the vision
17:30by not being so close to him
17:31and pass him when you have an opportunity
17:32when you know it's an opportunity to pass.
17:35Widers will run 21,
17:37sometimes 28 tear offs.
17:39They come in packs of seven.
17:43They say,
17:43I don't know if what they were doing
17:45when you were racing,
17:46when you put the 28 on there,
17:48it's pretty hard to see
17:49when the race begins, right?
17:51Yeah, it's not thick.
17:52No, it starts to get thick.
17:54I mean, you're putting laminate
17:55over his jet,
17:57duck in his head.
17:58If I'm Justin Cooper,
17:59I wouldn't be surprised
18:00if I'm starting to let him know,
18:02give him a little bit of roost
18:03and he'll have no goggles out there.
18:04And that's a tactic as well.
18:06Oh, it didn't work.
18:07Yeah.
18:08Shit.
18:09Easy pass.
18:10Easy pass.
18:10He was caught out,
18:11but Justin Cooper,
18:12as he pulls another tear off,
18:14you've got to get back
18:15in front of him if you can.
18:17Well, that was the best case scenario
18:19for Lawrence around Cooper
18:21and way wide of him.
18:23So no roost.
18:24So now Jet Lawrence up to fourth.
18:27Yeah, I doubt at this point.
18:29Aaron's right in front of him.
18:30So even all that we're watching,
18:31he was able to close his,
18:33close that time
18:34and you saw him take a look over.
18:35I don't think he's gonna be
18:36pulling in the pits at this moment.
18:38Katie.
18:39Yeah, first and foremost,
18:40Christian Ducharme,
18:40who's holding his pit board,
18:42his mechanic,
18:43was just over at their truck
18:45pulling out some extra goggles,
18:47kind of put them back.
18:48is now back over
18:49at the pit board.
18:49So I think that they're
18:50trying to figure out
18:51what to do with Jet
18:52regarding the goggles as well.
18:53But they do have a second pair
18:54sitting out in the truck.
18:57Meanwhile,
18:57Justin Cooper's pit board
18:58was saying,
18:59Justin Cooper's pit board
19:00was saying that
19:01focus is number seven
19:02right ahead of you.
19:03So he has his eyes
19:04set on Aaron Plessinger.
19:06Well, he did.
19:07By the time he came back
19:08over the hill, though,
19:08Jet was between them
19:09here the last three lap times.
19:12And yeah,
19:13about two seconds,
19:14three seconds,
19:15is a lot quicker is Jet Lawrence
19:17than Aaron Plessinger
19:17the last three times around.
19:19Yeah, well, I don't know
19:20if I'm looking.
19:21Maybe it's just our shot,
19:22but it looks like
19:24Aaron Plessinger,
19:26I don't know if he has
19:27no goggles on.
19:28So that's going to help Jet off.
19:30Yeah, Aaron threw his goggles off as well.
19:32So that's what he was,
19:34you know, closing in.
19:36So again,
19:36if I'm Jet Lawrence,
19:38you know,
19:38the only way I'm pulling in
19:39if I start losing time,
19:40and I think the Honda
19:41would make that decision.
19:42If somehow he can't get around Aaron
19:43because he doesn't have any goggles,
19:45then he'll pull him in.
19:45But right now,
19:46Aaron doesn't have anything.
19:48So just stay on this,
19:50stay on this road
19:51and it's going to put you
19:51in the overall position
19:52at this moment
19:53if you can get around
19:54to number seven.
19:56That's what it would take.
19:58A one-three.
20:00He can make this pass.
20:05Got some room
20:06around the outside.
20:08Leg off for Plessinger.
20:09Get Jet, get it done.
20:12Oh, a rider crashes
20:14right in front of him.
20:14That bails Plessinger out
20:16for the moment.
20:16But then he hit that pothole.
20:18There it is, James.
20:19Yeah, there it was.
20:20I mean,
20:21you would think that rider,
20:22I mean, I think that's all set up.
20:24The Aaron not having any goggles,
20:25probably had his eyes closed
20:26and he hit that pothole,
20:27but that changes the overall position
20:28and if I'm Jet Lawrence,
20:29definitely not pulling in
20:30at this moment.
20:31No.
20:33Katie.
20:34Yeah, over here with KTM
20:35and of course right now
20:36the second pair of goggles
20:37for AP
20:38are in the hands of the team.
20:40They said that if he needed
20:41a change of goggles
20:42at the beginning of the race,
20:43prior to the race starting,
20:44they said,
20:45let me know a lap before.
20:47And Jay Burgess,
20:47his mechanic was just over here
20:49nodding, saying,
20:50we think he might be coming in.
20:51Katie,
20:52it looks like they're waving
20:53off the rest of the mechanics
20:54to get some room.
20:56This could be for safety
20:57as much as it is
20:58for result right now.
21:00But Jet Lawrence,
21:00that pass,
21:01it's going to give him
21:02the overall again.
21:03Yep, overall.
21:04And at KTM,
21:05I do believe Aaron
21:06will pull it
21:06because he's going
21:07backwards and there's
21:08no fight.
21:09He won't be able to fight
21:10and if anybody should be
21:11worried about that,
21:13it is the KTM.
21:14They just had their
21:14champion and Chase
21:16Sexton go out
21:17with those goggles.
21:20Well done,
21:21Carlos with the goggle swap.
21:24That's lightning quick.
21:25That was lightning quick.
21:26They did even a wipe.
21:28A wipe in there.
21:29So they're like,
21:29go, go, go, put him on.
21:31Let me go.
21:32And that's Justin Cooper
21:34right in front of him
21:34right here with no goggles
21:35as well.
21:36So it's good playoff.
21:41Couldn't make the quick
21:42pass though.
21:44Yeah, but he's in a good
21:45spot.
21:45Now he has goggles.
21:46Justin doesn't have it.
21:47So, you know,
21:49Justin's playing with
21:50just a moment,
21:52a matter of time
21:53before Aaron gets done
21:54if he doesn't make any
21:54mistakes.
21:55So Tomek still leads
21:57the moto,
21:58but he's looking
22:00at a 5-1.
22:02And now we go back
22:04to that final lap
22:06of moto one.
22:07Cooper, Plessinger,
22:08Tomek were all battling.
22:09Had Eli gotten there,
22:11had he gotten the third,
22:13he'd be sitting
22:13in position with the overall.
22:16Instead, it's going
22:17to be a 5-1
22:17instead of a 3-1.
22:20Yeah.
22:21Tough, tough.
22:22It just seems like
22:23no matter what,
22:23if Eli's able to hold
22:24on to this,
22:26it's like, yeah,
22:26you want to race,
22:27but you still didn't win
22:29and he's going to look
22:29back at all these like,
22:30man, I had him,
22:33especially being
22:33as fast as he was,
22:35being on Justin Cooper
22:36as early as he was,
22:37he should have been
22:37able to get around there,
22:38but nonetheless,
22:39that's why we go racing.
22:40These guys are good
22:41if you don't have it
22:42all together,
22:42you're going to get past.
22:44Justin Cooper fighting
22:45hard, even without
22:46the goggles,
22:48making it difficult
22:49on Plessinger here.
22:53Somebody's not happy.
22:54Some revving going on
22:56for sure.
22:58Oh, look at this
22:58spot hole, yeah.
23:01Good thing he had
23:02the goggles for that.
23:03That would have been
23:04definitely pulling in to
23:05Pins, so.
23:06Yeah, I remember back
23:07in the day,
23:07I used to get so frustrated
23:08like Aaron makes a mistake
23:09right there.
23:10I used to do this,
23:11I'm sorry, all the lap
23:12routers, they used to take
23:13them out because it was
23:14so bad.
23:15Oh, they're going to call
23:16it.
23:17Red flag, that would have
23:20to indicate worse weather
23:21is in the offer.
23:24And if it ends like this,
23:26it will be another
23:27Jett Lawrence win,
23:29making the pass, what,
23:32two laps ago?
23:33Yeah, yeah.
23:34That was everything.
23:36Tomac's going to win
23:37the Mono's second one
23:38this year.
23:38And somehow the overall
23:42works out in Jett Lawrence's
23:44favor again.
23:50And there, no podium?
23:52Uh, I think he just
23:53found that out.
23:54Yeah, no, he did.
23:55I mean, whatever.
23:58Good job.
23:59And obviously...
24:00So they're going to call
24:01him with seven minutes to go.
24:04Imagine that means the
24:05weather's going to get worse
24:06could be a safety situation.
24:08lightning within a certain
24:11distance from the track,
24:13and that will do it.
24:16And those are the rules.
24:18If lightning is spotted
24:19within eight miles of the
24:20track, it's called, it's
24:22done.
24:22Lawrence made that pass two
24:24laps ago, and that one
24:26three score is going to be
24:28one point better than his
24:30brother, Hunter, who ends
24:31up two two.
24:33Father's day present right
24:34there, baby.
24:35There, Lawrence.
24:36Either way.
24:37They go one, two.
24:38Hunter that close to his
24:40first ever overall.
24:42He keeps rolling for Jett.
