01:58Tondel, Gifting, Valandran, Panza
02:00em sua top 10
02:01Em 5ª lugar, em 1ª, Jeremy Seward
02:06em 16ª, Ferrato, Trash, Watson
02:09who, uh, had a slight niggle
02:11early on today, lower back
02:14but, uh, okay
02:15and, uh, Kato Nikal in 20th place
02:18Watch this here, tries to go in and out early
02:26but, Herlings almost comes in hot there
02:29he had to just stall momentarily
02:32saw the movement on the bike
02:35and Herlings bike there
02:36as he hit all those holes through the turn
02:39Fevra looking to get away with that one as well
02:41in 2nd position
02:42backhand coming around on him
02:44just a warning
02:45where are the limits of adhesion
02:48well, Fevra just about found them
02:50just about stayed within the limits
02:53look, could have been a high side
02:56but it wasn't
02:57lives to fight another lap
02:58and go in pursuit of Koonan
03:01and potential
03:01race win
03:03all the timing on the left-hand side
03:11Stauffer and Steri are not there
03:13in 2nd and 3rd
03:14Koonan over the line
03:18first lap
03:192.08, 1.27
03:22Fevra, despite that little error
03:232.08, 2.61
03:25Kerling's 3rd
03:262.10, 5
03:27he's already 2.6 seconds behind Fevra
03:31Rubber Fevra
03:37Rubber Fevra
03:38carrying good speed through turn 7
03:39that right-hander
03:40Boger's up to 4th
03:41Koldenov down to 5th
03:44Renault 6th
03:47so Boger's up Koldenov now
03:49fighting over 4th place
03:51Max and Renault just behind them
03:59don't forget
04:00in terms of the
04:01championship
04:02that 3rd place battle
04:03Renault 1 point clear
04:05of Koldenov coming into
04:07race 2
04:09they're going to be tied
04:11as it stands right now
04:12and Renault probably knows that as well
04:18I'm sure he would have seen
04:19the results of the championship
04:21positions
04:22of course he was eyeing up
04:23potential world championship title
04:25but with the problems that he's had
04:27during the season
04:29get himself back into it
04:313rd
04:31maybe as good as it gets
04:34for the Monster Energy Yamaha rider
04:36so
04:37all those races that he did injured
04:39now starting to pay off
04:40for the 959 Frenchman
04:43currently circulating in 6th place
04:45Kamvalanen is up to 8th now
04:47he was 12th on the opening lap
04:49he's knocking on the door for a podium
04:51but it's going to be very very difficult from here
04:53because Koonen, Herlings and Fevre
04:55they are locking out the top 3 steps as it stands
04:58Lukas, Koonen on 50
05:01Herlings on 42
05:02Roman Fevre on 40
05:03Volanderen on 33 so he needs to get a bit of a move on
05:07does Volanderen if he is to secure that podium
05:09here this weekend in Germany the first of the season
05:12these two
05:22these two pulling away from Herlings
05:23Herlings almost three seconds further back
05:25behind the Frenchman but
05:26it's Fevre who is pushing on here
05:29the gap 1.1 as they hit the line at the end of lap 2
05:33Koonen having a bit of a moment there look
05:41just a warning again
05:42as we saw with Roman Fevre at the end of the opening lap
05:45where are the limits where the circuit has had rain
05:51Lukas Koonen looking as cool as he did
05:53in the first race
05:59remember in Portugal
06:03Koonen went 1.1
06:08for the second time this year
06:10following on from Switzerland
06:12highing up another 1.1 here today
06:14potentially still plenty of time to run though
06:17but for now it's Koonen, Fevre and Herlings who lead the way
06:23to the back end of the track
06:32Fevre again looking for creative lines outside inside cutbacks
06:38anything not to get bogged down in those deep
06:40nagerie gnarly rucks
06:42back end almost off the side of the track there for Koonen
06:44as he came into land as well
06:46got a bit of a kick the back end went out to the left
06:48looked like he rode the edge of the bank there before it kind of came back into line
06:53oh my god
06:59Fevre keeping
07:01Koonen honest once again
07:11Portugal
07:13Koonen won all three races didn't he
07:15won the qualifying race took the full 10 points
07:17went 1.1
07:20won the qualifying race here on saturday won the first race
07:24oh we're going to see a second clean sweep of races for Lucas Koonen in
07:312025 he'll get the gap down to 35 points
07:35if he stays here
07:41this championship is not over
07:43gifting down the inside of Calvin Vallada and or Vallada trying to find his way past but it looks like
07:48gifting has found his way by
07:51and Vallada now down to ninth place
07:53so was there a mistake in that turn
07:56for the number 10 i think there was
08:02he's now coming under pressure
08:05yeah i think he's been down he's made a mistake or he's got some kind of issue
08:07because Jan Panza has also gone by
08:18trying to get himself back into the race here
08:21Calvin Vallada
08:26Panza moves up to ninth place
08:28and he can't relax here either because trying to go around the outside Jeremy Siwa on the Aruba.it Ducati
08:39he has a Koonen moment smashes through the barriers
08:43whoa i tell you what that Marshall very very lucky
08:46Jeremy Siwa in 11th position trying to find his way past Calvin Vallada at a moment ago going off track
09:03through the barriers managed to stay upright i don't think he lost a position because he had about five
09:07and a half seconds over Thomas Kohu watch this here just grabs a little bit of uh sidewall and then
09:14look at this straight through the barrier there gets himself back into the race but very very lucky escape for the Marshall
09:33it's cost him some time as well hasn't it
09:37meanwhile two fantics or is this the uh 959 of Renault closing in on his main rival for that third place
09:44in the championship cold enough ahead of him in fifth Renault in sixth
09:48Atlantic Factory MXGP rider cold enough it's been a little bit off the pace in recent weeks
09:55eighth and tenth in Spain and France looking to rebound here if he can
10:01he'll be ninth overall here but a good solid ride in race two is what he's looking at
10:05so Max and Renault the fight for third in the championship between these two tied on points at the moment
10:15can't afford to switch off nobody really kind of going in search of new creative lines
10:30because they all know they're in good positions and they can lose more than they can gain like outside
10:37there top of the hill you're not going to go into virgin territory when the clean line the most used line
10:43is probably the safest bet doesn't mean to say it's the best line in terms of it's not smooth by any
10:49way any means anyway here's bogus he's up in the fourth place he's already pulled 4.2 clear of his teammate
10:56this is how bogus found his way by force his way down the inside just coming out of the right hander and
11:05then went around him turned seven two corners after the finish line that was early on
11:13and leaped and leapt past his stable mate over the next step down and step up
11:20good showing this for brian bogus
11:26bogus got seventh overall in kozart round two did that with a fourth in race two as well
11:33well on a day where cold enough and bonokors his two teammates were second and third so two three
11:44and four in the race second and third on the day bogus getting a fantastic result but again just being
11:49a little bit off for one reason or another but looking to bounce back here with a solid performance in race two
12:04lucas kunin just set the fastest lap of the race 204 887
12:08fevre no reply for him at the moment 3.7 seconds further back hurlings in third
12:14likewise is he just sitting back off of roman fabbro if he is 4.3 seconds is quite the way
12:20to sit back just to preserve goggles for the later stages of the race rain looks like it's surpassed
12:25not too many umbrellas out there on track can't see too much rain falling now either it's not to say that
12:30it isn't might just be a light drizzle now but kunan looking majestic at the head of the field once more on
12:36that red bull ktm just as he was in race one although the latter stages hurlings did dig deep didn't he
12:48and got to within a second as they crossed the line when all was said and done but it was an eight victory
12:56for lucas kunin the young belgium that was the difference he will go down as the race winner from
13:04that first race now he's just trying to build that gap over roman fevre is still hovering around about
13:113.7 ish seconds fevre coming into view now on the number three kawasaki racing team machine
13:18your podium will be kunan hurlings of fevre 50 points 42 points and 40 points
13:25and we'll have bogus and verlander and tyne on 31 fourth and fifth renault on 30 and sixth
13:30did he have to go a little bit too wide there through that pit turn lucas kunan has it cost him time
13:46because there was a back marker right where he probably wanted to be because his 204 becomes a 206
13:52fevre goes with the 204.5 the fastest lap time yeah look there was a mistake there we saw this part here
13:59where he was in uncharted territory didn't need to be on that part of the racetrack so he self-inflicted
14:05mistake putting himself under pressure the gap 1.8 between kunan and fevre now just a slight warning
14:11for him to say just keep focused ride the track don't race the track
14:19if ever wants to up his game to try and get on to the rear wheel and challenge for that win
14:23that's down to him to up his pace and in doing so run the risk of making mistakes as well
14:29but this clay bait circuit
14:35very very slick on the race line you can see how shiny it is some of the takeoffs on the jumps
14:40also very slick no one tripling up on top and using the outside line there no more
14:45but this is the gap between first and second we will get another split at the bottom of this hill into
14:52the next left and kunan was 1.8 clear and at the moment the gap still hovering around 1.8 as they hit
15:02that second intermediate sector but with 15 minutes plus two laps to go lucas kunan still very much in
15:11control but how much longer because roman fevre closing him down he's got him right where he
15:15wants him and sometimes when you've disappeared and sat back and then you come back onto the rear
15:21wheel of the rider you have a fresh set of eyes maybe you've experimented with other lines and you end
15:26up kind of getting onto the rear wheel making one pass in one foul swoop that is what roman fevre is hoping
15:31can happen here sooner rather later but kunan responding very well here at the moment and looking
15:37like he's opening up that gap ever so slightly maybe to around two 2.2 seconds as we head towards the
15:44end of this seventh lap
15:45so out of the final turn lucas kunan then he hits the line this time around he responds to his 206
15:58with a 205 the same as fevre the gap 1.9 seconds hurling still 4.2 seconds behind these two
16:07but that's going to be a first podium of the season for jeffrey hurlings if he stays where he is
16:12but 14 minutes to go still not a lot between coonan and fevre as they fight over the race win in race two
16:29they're going looking again
16:35still nothing in it between them in the greater scheme of things
16:38and how much is fevre kind of eyeing up an opportunity to pass because he knows if he's
16:44sat right on the rear wheel he's going to get roosted goggles are going to take a pounding
16:49run the risk of having little or no visibility and having to chuck goggles in the later stage of
16:56the race doesn't want to do that if he's challenging for that race win the threat is not there from
17:00behind hurlings four seconds adrift at the moment kunan fastest in sector two of the race 31.1 seconds
17:08gaining three tenths on fevre on that part of the race track
17:14oh back markers out of the way out of the way kunan getting caught there
17:21fevre may also feel the wrath of the back marker as well 470 peter koenig on the cyholz ktm
17:32look again and fevre does get caught behind him the same back marker interfering with the leaders race
17:40fevre is going to be absolutely fuming that that's going to cost him it was 1.9 the gap and surely we're
17:48we're looking more towards two and a half 2.3 at 2.7 or 8 seconds watch this here
17:54koning in his own race oblivious that kunan's gone by therefore with all that work to do again
18:01eight laps in the books for kunan 206.8 how much time did it cost mevra
18:07might only cost him a tenth in the overall lap 2.1 now the gap between first and second
18:12the perils of mud racing
18:24lucas kunan continues to lead 2.1 seconds clear both riders got held up by that marker a moment ago
18:30let's take a look at the start again right at the start of the race shall we and see how lucas kunan
18:34backed his seventh foxhole shot of the season over to the left hand side as we look down rider getting
18:40parked on the gate there that might have been iago here it's red boots but this was the foxhole shot
18:46for kunan never right there hurling's right there as well
18:52all right it was a fantic that got left behind on the gate
18:57bonacorsi maybe because it's two teammates much further up the field
19:01deep deep ruts femmer's been going wide and coming back across there not taking the risk
19:12running those deep inside ruts where you can easily snag a chain and things like that
19:20but the gap 2.1 at the start of the lap looks like it's gone out a little bit more over the course of that
19:27and kunan now with just under 11 minutes plus two once again very much in control of this race
19:42so the gap staying 2.1 on our timing at the moment but all the time
19:47kunan starting to stretch out an advantage over fevre behind him
19:51renault trying to muscle his way down the inside of cold and half this is through turn one the exit of turn one
20:00these two fighting over fifth place
20:05cold off in fifth in the blue top looks across sees renault there 959 on the yamaha
20:11on the blue machine both riders a little bit off balance as they step back into view renault now up in the fifth place
20:21the final turn gets ready to hit the line to complete lat nine bogus 29 seconds off the lead and fevre
20:42more annoyance and he's lost a position hurlings has gone through
20:49so fevre did he just get caught by hurlings as a result of what happened to him and peter
20:55koenig a moment ago or was there another mistake because there was another hand gesture
21:00and hurlings has gone through into second position
21:02more frustration then for the number three just needs to keep his emotions in check take a deep
21:11breath for a lap or so and then maybe have a go at hurlings because he did manage to pull four seconds
21:16on him so in the greater scheme of things he should be quicker hurlings using that outside inside
21:22as fevre goes for that deep inside route through the left hander turn 14
21:28when we look at lap times from race one 148 7 204 5 was the fastest from roman fevre this time around
21:43so the chevre's fastest lap this weekend is going to go to roman fevre 148 7 in race one
21:52is not doing him any favors here though is it nearly two seconds down on
22:04but we'll see next time when he comes over the line hurlings setting the fastest intermediate sector
22:09one kunan fastest in sector two hurlings faster than his two rivals in sector three
22:16is he closing in yes he is 1.8 behind lucas kunan hurlings has come alive 203.9 he's just put the
22:26fastest lap in of the race and the rebel ktm rider knows now that it's now or never to get that grand
22:32prix victory here in germany couldn't find his way past kunan in race one it was a high-speed racetrack
22:41where a mistake that cost you half a second in a corner could take two laps just to make up
22:46but now with this as a level playing field back marker looking across he sees kunan go through
22:52checks where the next rider is that's brand belt nunnick that's why that was smart riding
22:59and nunnick in 20th place dear a grubel looks on former technical director at rebel ktm factor racing
23:10and hurlings going after kunan once again the young pretender versus the veteran five-time world champion
23:22still riding himself back to full fitness how far off that full fitness is he jeffrey hurlings
23:27both these riders have now broken roman fair with seven minutes plus two laps to go
23:40there is fevra trying to dig deep get hurlings back into his line of sight this is why fevra
23:49had a problem look gets caught behind the back marker here and then all the way through this
23:53next section gets held up hurlings jumps his way into the pit gets good momentum and then goes past
24:01fevra wasn't expecting that he tried to dig deep and couldn't hurlings had already gone by by the next turn
24:08and that's all it was but again back markers i'm sure we'll hear about that in the press conference
24:18later on today oh see we're down see we're out of ninth place
24:27and guadagnini out of the race he was in 19th
24:30this is how close it is between first and second again hurlings line jumping into this bomb hole here
24:42that momentum that got him alongside roman fevra kunan not aware of it at the moment i'm not sure
24:46he's aware that hurlings is even there
24:51oh talk about sprint racing last six minutes this race has really come alive
24:58figured it would do that with the conditions ride smart protect your goggles preserve your visibility
25:04kato nickel needs to stay out of the way here he does just about
25:09it's cost hurlings a little bit of time though more than he would have liked
25:15but the 84 keeps a cool calm head about it
25:17good it making a run for it fevra trying to close back in on hurlings
25:31they look like they're pretty much equidistant in terms of their pace apart
25:35how many times does the bullet need to dig deep to get back onto the rear wheel of her of uh coonan
25:53any more digging is going to need sponsorship from some groundworks people isn't he
25:56but there is oh see we're down again coming out of pit lane straight
26:06better worse then for siwa in these conditions this time around normally very very good in the mud
26:12but with four minutes plus two to go this one is not over by a long chop
26:26it's not over by a long chopper in two lap 13 the gap between first and second coonan and hurlings
26:34less than three quarters of a second once again coonan being caught by the bullet
26:39who couldn't do anything about coonan in the first race does he have time left 3 40 plus two laps
26:45that times 205 206 between these two roman fevra 205 as well
26:50can't afford to make a mistake these three riders apart from the little mistakes that have
26:58fevra no mistakes of his own no i might say there was one here right at the start of the race but
27:05other than that apart from getting held up by back markers that's been the tale of his race but these
27:11two have been pretty much inch perfect barely a mistake and coonan had one just at the end of the
27:16the waves early on as well panic rev there as he came into land hurlings sector one 32 4 33 2
27:29coonan putting about a second between himself and hurlings bottom of the hill they're still using
27:35then they're all using this outside inside although coonan went wide wide hurlings both feet off the pegs
27:42so a massive response for the belgian we'll get sector three the other side of liquid molly mountain
27:58as they peel through this left-hand turn roundabout now ish 27 8 for coonan hurlings 27 70 pulls a 10 back but
28:06at the start of the lap that gap was 0.706 between first and second
28:15yeah coonan made a mistake at the end of this straight didn't he all by himself
28:19just a few laps ago when he got out of the line
28:24hit a lot of dirt much deeper than he wanted to but he's weathered the storm once again
28:29proven you can pretty much throw anything at this kid and he'll deal with it head on the gap 1.3
28:39but all of a sudden hard on the brakes into the turn here hurlings right back onto the rear wheel
28:44ah fascinating stuff this between the belgian and the dutchman
28:47you cannot take your eyes off this battle between first place lucas coonan and jeffrey hurlings the
28:59two red bull ktm riders going at it here 1.3 as they hit the line a moment ago a few corners
29:07further around the track coonan on the ropes once more as hurlings gets his claws in again but how many
29:13times can he find his way onto the rear wheel and get close enough to maybe make a pass happen
29:21that is the question because so far he wasn't able to do it in race one despite reeling in the belgian
29:28right at the end of the race but he's had a good five minutes
29:34to do something about the 96 ahead of him to try and challenge for that lead every time he
29:39does seem to get close the response is rapid from coonan and leaves hurlings going back in search of
29:48answers the old adage like what do you do about a problem that is lucas coonan especially when he's
29:56leading the race especially when you're trying to find a way by him he's really becoming the problem
30:01child isn't he in mxgp for the established front runners
30:10deciding jeffrey hurlings to follow coonan's lines now
30:15apart from here goes the long way round maybe it's a little bit quicker
30:22whoa time has just ticked down we're going to get the two lap board this time around one corner from now
30:28two big laps for lucas coonan two massive laps for jeffrey hurlings because this will be the
30:34difference between second overall and the top step of the podium for either one of these two riders
30:39here in germany coonan coming up short on the finish line
30:45the gap probably closer than it's been all race six tenths as hurlings sets the fastest lap of the race
30:50rails that outside he's getting the distance here this is where he passed roman fevere
