00:00It sucks to be old.
00:10Well, this tender-hearted old lady spent an entire night
00:16tending to what she thought was a sick baby hedgehog.
00:22Oh, hedgehog.
00:24Only to find out it was nothing more than a fur pom-pom.
00:32Oh, my God.
00:33It's not moving.
00:35It's really sick.
00:36No way.
00:38Come on.
00:39No way.
00:39How do you not know?
00:41That's hilarious.
00:41That's ridiculous.
00:42It's not eating, Lisa.
00:44I don't know what to do.
00:45Help me.
00:46What should I do with some kind of Sonic the Hedgehog,
00:50but it won't come out of its, I don't know, is it in a shell?
00:53I can't see its head.
00:55Stop what you're doing.
00:56This hedgehog's barely breathing.
00:58I don't feel any pulse.
01:00There's no pulse.
01:04No.
01:05This elderly woman rushed into action when she spotted what she believed
01:08was an abandoned hedgehog at the side of the road.
01:11That's so silly.
01:12Hi, Lisa.
01:14Do you know what a hedgehog eats?
01:17I don't know.
01:18I have no idea.
01:19I put some walnuts or something out.
01:21I don't know what it eats.
01:24It hasn't moved.
01:25After a night without witnessing the puffball move at all or eat,
01:31she rushed it to an animal hospital.
01:34Help.
01:35Stop what you're doing right now.
01:36We got a hedgehog in distress.
01:38Look, he hasn't moved.
01:40He won't eat.
01:41I ate some of the walnuts.
01:43It wasn't him.
01:46She was waiting outside when they opened.
01:48They said she was our first admission of the day.
01:51She came running in with a box saying she found this baby hedgehog on the
01:55pavement.
01:56It was cold.
01:57She picked it up.
01:58She was very concerned.
02:01I bet.
02:02They rushed it through to triage in a separate room.
02:07And then they realized, well, this isn't right.
02:12They realized it wasn't animated at all and picked it up.
02:16Obviously, with the weight, they could feel it wasn't a hedgehog.
02:19It wasn't any animal at all.
02:21They put it back in the box and came out to the old lady and said,
02:24that's a part of a hat.
02:25So this is just the poofy top of like a knit cap.
02:32Right.
02:32Yeah.
02:32That's all this is.
02:34At first, the old lady wouldn't believe them.
02:37You took my hedgehog, didn't you?
02:39I named him Sonic.
02:40You better give him back.
02:41Yeah.
02:42You took Sonic, you sons of bitches.
02:44Oh, yeah.
02:45Likely story.
02:46Someone's hat.
02:48Asked if they were joking before finally realizing her mistake and
02:53shuffling out of the hospital with her box and bobble.
02:59I thought it was going to be like a bobcat, you know, like something where
03:03it's alive.
03:04It looks like a kitten.
03:05You're like, oh, I'm going to take care of a kitten.
03:07They're like, oh, that's a prey animal.
03:10They say she was very embarrassed.
03:12She was very sweet.
03:13They say, bless her.
03:14Her heart was in the right place.
03:16I've had a hedgehog for 25 years.
03:20Won't move.
03:22All night last night worried about Sonic.
03:24Doesn't eat much.
03:25Still looks great.
03:28Never needs water.
03:30Says she simply didn't look close enough.
03:33She picked it up, guys.
03:35Yeah.
03:35She lined a box with newspaper, and that's actually cat food that she put in there.
03:40She tried to keep her distance because she wasn't sure if it was sick.
03:47She says that's what made her not get close enough to realize that it didn't
03:51have any ears, eyes, legs, or other animal features.
03:54I guess if I saw a baby hedgehog, I might try to save it, I think.
04:02Yeah.
04:04So I'm kind of with her, but.
04:06Got to make sure it's a hedgehog, though.
04:08Yeah.
04:08Yeah, you got to make sure.
04:09It's just not a pom-pom.
04:11I hope I don't get old and do this.
04:12Little legs.
04:13Oh, Lisa.
04:13Lisa is so terrible.
04:15I found a deer or something.
04:18That's hilarious.
04:18I rescued a deer.
04:19It's just one of those fake deers from somebody's yard.
04:21Yeah, it hasn't moved a lot.
04:24Something's wrong with this deer.
04:25I think it's paralyzed.
04:26Paralyzed deer.
04:28I believe the leg.
04:29I think it sustained a back injury or something.
04:31Look, it's been shot by an arrow.
04:33There's an arrow in its side.
04:35I don't know.
04:36Somebody drew a target on this one.
04:38Yeah.
04:38It's real mean.
04:40It's real, real mean.
04:43It won't eat.
04:44Hasn't eaten since being shot.
04:47I've never even seen him move.
04:49He's got holes all in the one side of them.
04:54Whoever shot them, they were maniacs.
04:57How many times do you have to shoot one deer?
04:59I hope not, Lisa.
05:03I hope you keep your wits about now.
05:05No, me too.
05:06Me too.
05:06There was a whole family of, they almost became petrified like stone.
05:12They're so heavy.
05:13You've got to help them.
05:14They're encased in some kind of concrete.
05:21Family of geese.
05:23This geese has turned to stone.
05:25Yeah.
05:26You've got to help them.
05:26He's frozen solid.
05:28Must have looked at Medusa or something.
05:29Yeah.
05:30I don't know.
05:32Help.
05:34I mean, anything could happen to any of us, so I hope it.
05:37It's so true.
05:38Oh, Lady Lisa.
05:39Saving plastic animals all over.
05:41Oh, my God.
05:42Flamingo.
05:43You're not going to believe your eyes here, but a Flamingo landed in Michigan.
05:48It must have escaped.
05:49Yeah, I know.
05:50It keeps his one leg up the whole time.
05:53His, I don't know if this is right, but his arms almost move like windmill.
05:59It's got to be broken.
06:00Something's wrong with it.
06:03Oh, God.
06:04At least a ways back at the animal clinic again.
06:07Here we go.
06:08Rescue a CPR dummy.
06:09I got a double amputee here.
06:10Somebody help him.
06:12Oh, my God.
06:12Look at that man.
06:16No legs, no arms.
06:18His chest is a mess.
06:22He's definitely not breathing.
06:26Oh, man.
06:28My God.
