Dave & Chuck the Freak talk about a 52-year-old woman who was rescued from the collapsed building in Iowa after hiding under her bed for 24 hours. She punched out her screen window to the sound of on-lookers screaming 'She's alive'.

00:11collapsed in iowa over the past couple of days well uh a 52 year old woman just when they said

00:17there's no survivors no more survivors no more people trapped a 52 year old woman was found

00:22alive in there turns out she freaked out and was hiding under her bed for 24 hours

00:27but she's alive and they were able to rescue her from this building here's the story

00:32she's alive watch again as a woman shoves her screen out the window making her presence known

00:41to everyone the woman pokes her head out the window of her fourth floor apartment in a collapsed

00:50building after first responders had given up all hope of finding anyone still alive they need to

00:57get her out her name is lisa brooks she's 52 and they found her

01:05there were rousing cheers as she was rescued by firefighters lisa says she had been hiding under

01:14her bed for more than 24 hours in a state of shock incredibly the day before officials stopped

01:22searching for survivors in the building in davenport iowa and they were planning to demolish it lisa's

01:29nephew antoine smith went on national tv with an anguished plea tell me something anything like if

01:35you have found her and she's in the morgue somewhere tell me something two more residents are believed to be

01:41inside the building sorry the fire marshal got choked up thinking about them during today's press conference

01:48we want to get everybody out and we want to do it right now outside the building protesters gathered

01:55to block the demolition in the hopes of saving anyone inside tensions boiled over with demonstrators

02:06today the mayor lashed out you want to come at somebody here i'm standing right in front of you

02:14here's the target but no one saw this coming or this miracle

03:17about they're worried it's gonna all go down all right so but why is this woman just under her bed

03:32same time she was she was nowhere get it together get out of your bed but then she all of a sudden

03:39came back to life and punched that screen out because she was not in a collapsed area

03:54i didn't see that coming when i saw this whole thing but did not at all nuts okay over there so

04:02what you would say is like about uh maybe like 10 percent of the building collapsed down they said

04:08they were doing uh they were replacing all the bricks and obviously they replaced the bricks with

04:15something too heavy or something uh maybe more than 10 percent but it's like a little chunk of the

04:21building fell but the rest of the building is up yeah you can't just tear it down before you know

04:27no one else is hiding under their beds i'm sure they're worried about sending people in right you

04:32can't put people a lot people no i get it but you gotta like play some you gotta start talking

05:25oh so she just lay there quiet as a mouse yes i don't know they're claiming they went room to

05:31yeah who knows who knows some noise or something something something but she finally hulked hulked
