00:00Today, Rupert goes on holiday in Rupert and the Sandcastle.

00:16There's a little bear that you've ever seen before, who's a lot of fun.

00:23Children everywhere, go to love him more and more, he's the number one.

00:30There's a million stories to be told of the things that he's done.

00:37And he's gonna share them all with you, so come along.

00:43Rupert, Rupert the Bell, everyone sing his name.

00:50Rupert, Rupert the Bell, everyone come and join.

00:56It's a hot August Saturday morning.

01:09Rupert and Mr. and Mrs. Bear are going on holiday.

01:11Rupert, Rupert, I don't think I can get my suitcase closed, puffs Rupert.

01:19I've got the sandwiches all packed up now, says Mrs. Bear, coming in from the kitchen.

01:23Come along.

01:25We must hurry or we'll miss the train, exclaims Mr. Bear.

01:28Bill Badger and Edward Trunk are going on holiday with Mr. and Mrs. Bear and Rupert, too.

01:35And they're already waiting at the station.

01:39Ah, good, you're both here, says Mr. Bear.

01:42Hope you've remembered everything.

01:43Yes, and I've got my fishing rod, too, says Bill.

01:49I can hear the train coming.

01:52Now the journey is beginning and the carriage wheels are spinning.

01:57The rails go clack and clickety-clack, hurry along the holiday track.

02:02They've saved their money, they've lots to spend.

02:06Oh, don't let this holiday ever end.

02:08We'll collect small stones and shells galore and build sandcastles on the shore.

02:15There'll be donkey rides if you like the saddle, or you can go in the sea and have a paddle.

02:21We're nearly there now, dears, says Mrs. Bear as the train starts slowing down.

02:27Walk, shaman sea, shouts the guard.

02:30We're here. Come along. Don't leave anything behind.

02:33The tide is out when Rupert and his chums get to the beach.

02:39I'm going to collect some shells first, announces Rupert.

02:43Yes, and I can see some nice coloured stones.

02:46I'm going to collect those.

02:49Don't forget we promised to get some shells for Pung Ping, reminds Edward.

02:54Oh, yes. It was an oyster shell he really wanted.

02:58But I don't expect we'll find one here.

02:59I found a funny bit of seaweed. It's like a flag.

03:05Hey, this looks like an oyster shell.

03:09Yes, I think it is.

03:11It's a bit worn, but a lovely colour.

03:15That should be all right for Pung Ping.

03:17Let's build a super sandcastle now, suggests Rupert.

03:24Oh, you should build a sandcastle.

03:27I'm going to sunbathe and have a nap, says Edward, yawning.

03:31That train journey has made me tired.

03:34Rupert and Bill build a sandcastle high,

03:49whilst Edward Trunk sleeps on the beach nearby.

03:53Round the sides they make the walls oh so steep,

03:57and Rupert puts the flag on the top of the keep.

03:59They stand back and admire the castle with pride,

04:04knowing at last it will be washed away by the tide.

04:08I think that's the best one we've ever made.

04:12Listen, let's make up a story about it before the sea washes it away.

04:17Hmm, yes, Rupert.

04:19Tell me who lives there.

04:20Well, there's a queen, so she must be a sand queen.

04:27And she's got lots of knights in shining armour.

04:30Bill's now getting the idea of the story,

04:32and can't wait to join in.

04:35Yes, Rupert.

04:36And there has to be a beautiful princess.

04:39What's her name?

04:41I know.

04:42Her name must be Amanda.

04:44And somebody has got to do some fine deed.

04:46Rupert doesn't finish his sentence.

04:51As he and Bill are looking at their sandcastle,

04:55it begins to grow larger and larger,

04:59until it's big enough for them to walk over the drawbridge.

05:05Gosh, Bill, says Rupert in amazement.

05:09What's happened?

05:11They see a knight in armour beckoning them to enter.

05:13Er, did you want to speak to us?

05:17Asks Rupert.

05:19The sand queen wishes you to visit her.

05:23Please get on to the sand sledge,

05:25and I will take you both to her,

05:27urges the knight.

05:29Do you always travel on sand sledges?

05:31Asks Rupert as they clamber on.

05:34We have many long corridors,

05:36and find that this is the only way to travel.

05:39Don't ask him any more questions, Rupert.

05:43I'm a little bit frightened,

05:45whispers Bill.

05:46We are here,

05:48says the knight,

05:49as he gets off

05:49and goes towards a large wooden door

05:52made from an old shipwreck.

05:54Come along, Bill.

05:55We must follow him.

05:57The knight knocks on the door.

06:01Enter,

06:02says a voice.

06:03Your majesty,

06:07I have brought Rupert

06:08and his friend Bill,

06:09announces the knight.

06:13You may leave us,

06:15orders the sand queen.

06:18I am sorry I have brought you here

06:20at short notice,

06:21but it is most urgent,

06:23she says to Rupert and Bill.

06:25It's my small daughter,

06:27the sand princess Amanda.

06:28She has a strange illness

06:31that can only be cured

06:32by the oyster shell

06:33which you have in your pocket.

06:36But I can't give it to you,

06:38your majesty.

06:39That is a great pity,

06:42because I cannot allow you

06:43to leave the castle.

06:45Why don't you give it

06:46to the queen, Rupert?

06:47You don't want the silly old shell.

06:49Well, that's just it.

06:51I don't want it.

06:52But Pong Ping has wanted one

06:54like this for ages,

06:55explains Rupert.

06:56Oh, please give it to her.

07:29turns her head slowly

07:30to look at them.

07:32We're sorry that you're ill.

07:35Is it true that you need

07:36the oyster shell

07:36to make you better?

07:38Asks Rupert.

07:39But the only answer

07:40she gives to Rupert

07:41is a nod of her head.

09:34says Rupert seriously.

09:39Rupert tells her

09:41where he and Bill

09:42and how they made

09:43the princess well again.

09:45I think you've both

09:46been dreaming.

09:48Mrs. Bear turns around.

09:51Just look at Edward.

09:52He's still in the land
