Wales headlines 26 April: Caerphilly solar farm could impact historic Senghenydd Dyke

A proposed solar farm set to be built by Caerphilly Council could harm a nearby site of national importance. The Cwm Ifor solar farm will be the largest publicly owned site of its kind in Wales, but there are concerns that the historical significance of Senghenydd Dyke could be affected by the project.

Wrexham AFC owner’s have contacted Gareth Bale via twitter to try and coax the Welsh footballing legend out of retirement to play for the north Wales side as they return to the football league next year. They said they’d take the star golfing, and even offered to shave a golf course into Rob McElhenney’s back.

Gas pipe contractors have misspelled the word school as s-h-c-o-o-l sh-cool, outside a primary school in Swansea. Wales and west utilities apologised for the error and will return to rectify the issue, but another word Ysgol is spelled incorrectly underneath, which the gas company deny doing. With Ysgol as ysool, spelled y-s-o-o-l.
