A House of Lords peer has been criticised for saying that there is ‘linguistic fascism’ in Wales, and language can be used to promote a nationalist sentiment. Tory Peer Lord Moylon’s comments have been called ‘high handed’ and the UK government have reiterated they back Welsh gov plans for a million welsh speakers.

Vincent Van Gogh’s iconic self portrait has been put on display in the national museum in Cardiff, the first time it’s ever been seen in Wales. The painting is part of the ‘art of the portrait’ exhibition, which also features work from Rembrandt and Frances Bacon. The exhibition will be on display until January 2025.

Cardiff city manager Erol Bulut has said the Welsh FA made no communication with him over the fitness of Aaron Ramsey before his call up to the national side. Ramsey hasn’t played a full match since September, but Wales manager Rob Page says Ramsey ‘knows his body’ and would have something to offer.
