Checks are set to take place on the Menai bridge, with motorists being warned of delays in the area for the rest of the week. The tests are for steel cables that have been added as the bridge was closed for around 3 months at the end of last year. A 7.5 tonne weight limit will remain in place.

King Charles is set to give up the lease on his main Welsh residence near the village of Llandovery. The property was purchased by the Duchy of Cornwall in 2007, with the then-prince of Wales regularly visiting the property on his trips to Wales. Since becoming king, he says he won’t be able to use the property like he once did.

Cardiff City have appointed Erol Bulut as manager after the departure of Sabri Lamouchi. 48 year old Bulut has previously managed Fenerbahçe and Gaziantep in Turkey, and will be managing in the English system for the first time.
