Wales headlines 17 May: Cardiff City to sue Nantes for £100 over Sala death

A man accused of murdering a drag artist in Cardiff has been released on bail pending further investigation from South Wales Police. 39 year old Darren Haydn Meah-Moore was found dead in the city centre on January 22nd. The force said examinations were ongoing to determine the cause of death.

A woman and a child have been taken to hospital with life threatening injuries after a collision with a lorry in Middletown, Powys. The pair were both taken to separate children’s and adults hospitals in Birmingham. The lorry driver suffered serious injuries but are not believed to be life threatening.

Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman has confirmed the club will be suing french side Nantes for 100 million pounds over the death of Emilliano Sala in 2019. The club say they are seeking justice after the player died in a plane crash on his way to Cardiff and claim they were not made aware of travel arrangements.
