Cardiff’s St David’s hall is inviting alternative bids for the running of the venue, hoping to find an improved offer of that by AMG within the next 6 weeks. The takeover has been controversial since it was first touted last year, with AMG controlling and owning a number of other venues across the city.

Caerphilly Council has announced its plans to build the largest publicly owned solar farm in Wales, but would not rule out selling it to a private firm. The plans are the first major project in energy the council has undertaken and will cost between 12 and 16 million pounds, powering 6,000 homes and will last for 35 years.

Cardiff manager Sabri Lamouchi has branded striker Connor Wickham ‘absolutely stupid’ after a video of him emerged last week which appeared to show the 30 year old inhaling laughing gas through a balloon. Lamouchi said he already has enough problems, and doesn’t need any more.
