00:00...Moda on the 30, who beat Deegan two weeks ago. Deegan got hurt in qualifying. It's a rematch now. Here it is. Roads are up. Gates down.
00:17And it's the triumph out front. Second year ever competing in SMX for this storied British brand. It's the 22 of Jalik Swal with another good start.
00:26Again, a little turndown for what? Jalik out there. Good to see him back. This guy just came off an Achilles injury a few races ago. He's been fast, but love to see Jalik Swal out front on that triumph.
00:36Oh, yeah. Great personality on this kid, too. He is totally unfiltered. And boy, has he been riding well. Meanwhile, a big stack up behind him. Believe that is Ryder DeFrancisco. A rider who's been great at qualifying. Hasn't been able to translate it to the races. Has his chance. Hayden digging his third.
00:54Yep. That's the only problem for Jalik and Ryder D is that the number one's already up in third. And we know how he is on this racetrack. A couple years ago, really, the bounce back was what the rod that made Hayden Deegan the way he was able to win that motor.
01:08So, you know, he's got the confidence. But Jalik's looking great out front.
01:12Yes, Deegan won here in 2023. And that really, in his rookie season, unlocked a new level. And he has not relented much since.
01:20But what a story for Swal coming back, as you said, for the Achilles injury early. About a month ago in Pennsylvania at High Point. And then got on a podium not far after that. And has been a frontrunner week after week for this new brand in motocross. They're very well established in road racing, Will.
01:37And it's not only the return from the Achilles heel rupture that's the problem. He's also suffering right now from a UCL, which is the ligament in the thumb. He did that at Southwick. So ever since the week after Southwick, several rounds ago now, he hasn't been able to ride during the week. Checking in with him today.
01:55It was all taped off. And he said, oh, as he goes down and that won't feel good. He said, what? I don't need his crashes. That causes problems. Oh, boy, Will. And I believe he might be stuck under the motorcycle. Not sure what happened. Yeah, that was a hard hit from Jalik. Yeah, because he started to go double in that corner. And it went down. And the way he was laying there, hate to speculate it, might be a little bit more than being stuck. But yeah, we certainly hope not. And we'll get a moment to see what the situation is for the 22.
02:25And it's Ryder DeFrancisco out of Bakersfield, California inherits the lead. Once one of the great prospects of amateur motocross in America. There they are. There is Swole. Now up and trying to shake it off. And being attended to by the Alpine Stars Mobile Medics. It's a series of doctors that follow the racers week to week. They know the riders. They know the type of injuries common in motocross. And hopefully Swole will be okay. And we have a replay of the
02:54crash for the early race leader. Yeah, talking about going from the top. Hasn't led a lap all year long. He'll be out front. Now he's up there. And he can put a little bit of water down. He's going to try to double. And it's a little hip jump.
03:06Or actually loses the front end right there. You can tell they put a little bit of water down. And out hard this base here at Washougal. Tough hit for Jalik. Well, it didn't look too bad. But I know how hard this ground is.
03:17So, James, with DeFrancisco out front, this is a battle that many had anticipated for years. Deegan and DeFrancisco, Southern California natives. Pretty similar in age. They came through the amateur ranks. DeFrancisco a year older. Often one would win one class. One would win the other. For Deegan, it is absolutely translated to the pro side. For DeFrancisco, we've seen flashes of brilliance, but not the results.
03:43This is much more like it for the 25, Will.
03:47Yeah, and it's cliche. We say it all the time, right, Jason? But the start's so important. Talking to Ryder yesterday. You could see the anxiety on his face when he was even just thinking about it. He's like, I know that's what I need. All the pieces are there. Like you said, we've seen pace in fastest qualifiers in past rounds.
04:02And he said, I just got to get out there. And he was sitting next to his teammate in the Gas Gas team there in Justin Barsha. And Barsha took over and he said, you've got this. He said, you just have to calm down and let it happen. And he just pointed over to his teammate. He's like, okay, that's what I'll do.
04:18He almost went down to that same section that swall did, James. Yeah, no, I was just thinking about what Barsha said. That's kind of a kettle calling the pot black on that comment down. But Justin's been around. He knows what he's meaning. He's just meaning like, look, man, you've got this speed. Just let it come to you.
04:34But now you can start to see it in practice. It's coming to you. But his only problem, so is Hayden Deegan. He's coming to you right now. And Deegan already trying to make a move. They collide. And somehow DeFrancisco goes down, but Deegan stays up.
04:49Man, you can see that one coming. And when things are rolling your right way, it just happens. Hayden Deegan got so lucky right there. Unfortunately for Roderick, he got the worst in. But when things are rolling for you, you can escape those kind of crashes.
05:02He crashed, but he stayed on two wheels on there. Hey, Deegan, that is.
05:07Honestly, James, that is symbolic in so many ways. So many of the supposed rivals that Deegan has been able to dispose of the last couple of years in his rise.
05:16And also, how many times have we seen Deegan with near crashes or spectacular crashes that he quickly gets up from? And this is another one of those scenarios.
05:24Yeah, this is that 100-foot double that they just built now, these two lanes. Now, Hayden Deegan's going to go on the outside, and these lines just come together.
05:32And again, Hayden, both these guys got really lucky. Roderick Deegan goes down, but he got lucky that it wasn't a lot worse.
05:38You can see these lines starting to come together. Total racing incident.
05:43But as you mentioned, now, since Roderick Deegan, he was out front. Every lap, he's getting that confidence. He's on the ground.
05:49So, what you're talking about, Hayden, continue to just build. Roderick Deegan won't have that opportunity because he's in the back now chasing.
05:56There's been so many of those. They get a hook in him. It looks like something might be materializing, and whatever reason, Deegan is able to come out the better.
06:05Shout out to this rider, Dylan Schwartz, in third of the 44. This is the Toyota of Redlands, Bar X Yamaha.
06:12They get support from Yamaha, but they are not the official factory team of the special parts.
06:16And this kid is getting better and better every week. He's always known for his strength and endurance, but the starts and the early race speed have been on display the last couple of races.
06:26Yeah, and Dylan has had some speed all day long. I would say this is kind of a breakout ride. He was second and third in the qualifying today.
06:34So, he's getting that confidence and starting to close in on Joe Shimoda. Good ride to see from Dylan up here up front.
06:41And we mentioned at the top of this show, just before the gate drop, the starts for the Kawasaki's have been a problem. They continue to be.
06:49March Banks started around 11th. He is in sixth. He's got this rider, Max Voland, on the Muckoff FXR Club MX Yamaha, another Yamaha supported team.
06:59Voland is running fourth. Then another one of the triumphs with Austin Forkner, who started to show some signs the last couple of weeks.
07:07Another rider, a Deegan rival, a rider with talent, beset by injuries, the 25th. Then March Banks, a fast qualifier in sixth.
07:15Yeah, and you talk about Austin Forkner, you know, he's at this point, he's just trying to make every race. This rider has a lot of injuries.
07:22March Banks made the move on Forkner.
07:24Yeah, Garrett's been fast all day long. So, you know, you talk about different positions where they are.
07:28Being rivals, his amateur is coming into pro. One's been injured a lot, and that's Austin Forkner just trying to make the races.
07:34So, good to see him back up here. Fortunately for his teammate, he goes down.
07:38But right now, Austin's number one on triumph right now, as far as teammates.
07:42Yeah, Forkner on that 83, the triumph, his first top 10 of the season was last weekend.
07:48This guy has been through probably more adversity than anyone out here today.
07:51And that says a lot in motocross. Had a huge crash while battling Deegan for a win in Supercross last year.
07:58Crashed onto the concrete of the stadium floor.
08:01And when they were checking him for concussion protocol, they discovered blood vessels in his brain that needed surgery.
08:08Not related to the concussion, but he said it could have resulted in strokes, seizures, something much more serious than a sports injury.
08:15He has returned from brain surgery in a rebuild year.
08:19And we are starting to see signs of the old Austin Forkner speed last week with eighth, and even better now, in sixth.
08:27Yeah, it's a great opportunity to have him up here.
08:31Seth Hanbecker coming through next, Will.
08:34Yeah, and Seth's battling injury himself after last weekend, though.
08:37He tweaked his knee.
08:38I checked back in with him today.
08:40Well, he was actually getting taped up from his physio doc.
08:43Gee, asking him how it was.
08:44They got an MRI.
08:45Damage in there is a little bit of meniscus there.
08:49And some bone bruising with a fracture on the top of his tibial plateau.
08:53So nothing that needs surgery, but the tape was substantial.
08:57We were joking that he was using more tape than he had any other time in the year because he's also got a shoulder injury going on.
09:03So he is very much looking forward to this two-week break, as a few riders are, to be able to refresh there and get themselves healthy.
09:10And thank you, Will.
09:11He knocked the wind out of himself in a moto last week.
09:14Recovered from that, only to tweak the knee later in the day.
09:17And that's the story.
09:18Potential for others and results for Hayden Deegan, who's flying high and getting away here at Washougal.
09:26Enjoy the sounds of motocross at the break with Peacock.
09:28Oh, God.
09:43Let's see.
09:47天 wrongbo, I am the same.
09:52We'll let them go.

12:49He changed back to his first, well Hayden Deegan rides like somebody stole his lunch money and he hasn't ate for weeks.
12:55He's hungry, he's mad when he rides and that's his whole attitude, but right now Joe Shimoda is trying to close that gap
13:02and we know how strong he is at the end of the moto.
13:05Yeah, that's Shimoda's best late in the race on that red Honda, keeping it close.
13:11Hey, we mentioned the SMX playoffs coming soon.
13:13They offer some of the most unique fan opportunities in sports to get the inside track
13:18to the experience of a lifetime.
13:19Go to smxexperiences.com to learn more and become part of the action.
13:25The best part is when you get to be right there near the podium, which is pretty unique to this sport.
13:31Get the champagne shower.
13:34Yeah, you come to the playoffs, you get a lot of things outside of just great racing as well.
13:39Yeah, let's just send Deegan over some of these jumps, you're talking about it.
13:42How he'll rev the bike, coming up on that 100-footer here.
13:45They all rev the bikes, but there's something different about the way it sounds for Deegan.
13:58Sounds like he's mad.
14:03I think he's going to be mad because look at this.
14:06Shimoda just continues to close, and a battle for the lead about to materialize here.
14:11The rider from Japan has caught Deegan.
14:14Yeah, you know, not only is Hayden revving his motorcycle, but I can tell he normally always revs it,
14:19but he's in like a lower gear.
14:21He's spinning up a lot.
14:22When I hear that bike, especially here at Washougal, he's losing a lot of time because of traction.
14:26So I don't know if he's upset because it's normally how he's riding,
14:29but he needs to shift that thing because Joe Shimoda has the pace going on,
14:33and this is a huge confidence for Joe to be able to close him in, and we're not even halfway yet.
14:37There's the early race leader, Jalik Swole, in the mechanics area.
14:40Good to see he did get back on the motorcycle, but it does look like his race is over.
14:47Crowds starting to respond as they jump back into the valley,
14:50and they realize Shimoda's here to fight for it.
14:53I like that line by Joe. It's a little bit slower, but as this race goes on, it's going to pay off.
15:00JT.
15:01Well, Joe Shimoda, you see him here closing the gap,
15:03and he's got a couple of things working for him.
15:05If you think back, Monster Supercross, who was the only guy to really get aggressive with Hayden Deegan
15:10and take the fight to him?
15:12That was Joe Shimoda.
15:13Look at those early rounds of pro motocross.
15:15He was the only guy that could keep him in sight,
15:16and he also knows that Hayden Deegan is less than 100%.
15:20All of that builds confidence, and that's going to help Joe Shimoda in the latter stages of this race.
15:25That's right, JT. Deegan took a handlebar to the leg two weeks ago at Red Buddies.
15:29Not a serious injury, but not quite perfect, and that could be a difference maker here.
15:35Yeah.
15:35Halfway through, just a quick reminder, James, about 15 minutes to go.
15:40You can purchase Monster Energy at Fred Meyer.
15:42I don't know what's going to happen in these final 15 minutes.
15:45Yeah, well, you just go back a week ago.
15:47Joe was able to do this the first moto last weekend,
15:49so him, he's getting that confidence to be able to run Hayden Deegan down,
15:53which is rare in itself.
15:55Joe's been able to do that two weeks in a row,
15:57but let's see if he learns from last weekend,
15:59because when does he pass Hayden Deegan?
16:01He didn't drop the hammer.
16:03He wasn't able to get away, and we know how resilient Hayden is.
16:06You let that guy hang around, you see how mad he is.
16:09You see how loud that motorcycle is.
16:10He never gives up.
16:11There's that brand-new 100-foot jump, like we said.
16:15That is more to the length of an NBA court.
16:18They jump it no problem, and the battle resumes.
16:27Great stuff.
16:30That's what they call Horsepower Hill.
16:31It's going to be a drag race to the top.
16:43What a great drone shot.
16:45Thanks, Chris Buck, giving us the realness of this.
16:47Pretty good.
16:48Now you can tell Hayden Deegan's starting to pick up the pace.
16:51I believe he was kind of waiting for Joe.
16:52He knows at one point, once he was only 30 seconds
16:55and it was starting to stabilize,
16:56he was not going to get away from him.
16:57We learned some of the old tricks of James Stewart every week on this show.
17:03Yeah, you've talked about that a lot.
17:04When you can't get away, you'll almost use a couple laps to rest
17:07to prepare for battle.
17:08You've got to prepare for it.
17:09You've got to have enough gas in the tank.
17:11So no point.
17:12You know how long the trip is.
17:13No point of running out of Petro.
17:17And what it does, not only you're resting your body,
17:21but it starts to upset the guy behind you.
17:23They start to get flustered because they're like,
17:25man, I caught this guy.
17:27All of a sudden, he started picking a pace.
17:29And what that puts Joe, it makes him have to start picking his pace up.
17:33Now he gets out of that zone where he was really comfortable
17:35and he might make a mistake.
17:37James, we just saw it play out in that 450 class.
17:40Exactly what was happening.
17:40Chase Exxon got out front.
17:42Gap stabilized.
17:43He knew Jett Lawrence was going there.
17:45And then Jett ended up making a mistake.
17:46So as quickly as Joe got there,
17:48now Hayden's starting to pull away.
17:50And motocross, one of the most physically demanding sports.
17:53These riders are probably pulling 160, 180 heart rate for the whole 30 minutes.
17:57But how much of that is mental strategy, confidence waiting and flowing throughout this battle?
18:04It's a lot.
18:05It's really mental.
18:07I mean, the whole story that we're talking about Austin Forkner,
18:09you know, Jelik Swole, all these guys coming in.
18:12And Hayden has the confidence.
18:14And when you have confidence and belief in something,
18:17then these guys can ride.
18:18All of them are very talented.
18:20So for me, racing is a lot that comes down to mentally.
18:23And it is never about just going as fast as you can.
18:26It's a chess game out there.
18:28You're watching the best to do it.
18:29Play out in front of you.
18:31Bottom box is Levi Kitchen, the hometown native,
18:34looking to make a move on Mikkel Harrop,
18:36the rider out of the Danish rider.
18:40And Kitchen.
18:42And they're battling hard.
18:43That was a nice pass.
18:45Serve him up.
18:45Serve him up.
18:47Problem for Kitchen again is the bad start.
18:51And his record at his home track.
18:53Jason Thomas mentioned top of the show.
18:55He could actually ride his bike from parents' house to the track.
18:59But his results here are mixed.
19:01Fifth overall last year.
19:03Sorry, in 2023.
19:05Sixth overall last year.
19:06The problem has been the first motos for Kitchen have been terrible.
19:10Second motos have been much better.
19:11He went 12-4 last year.
19:14And once again, he's fired at traffic at his home race.
19:17In moto one.
19:18And Hayden Deegan beginning to reestablish the lead.
19:23At Washougal.
19:25And Shimoda now three seconds back.
19:28Yeah, Hayden picked up the pace quite a bit on here.
19:31Now, see if Joe can run with him.
19:33He's been a little off on the pace as far as outright speed with Hayden Deegan.
19:37So, Deegan took a look back.
19:41Is that a good sign when you look back and you don't see the guy?
19:44Yeah, he wants to know if what he's doing is starting to work.
19:47Otherwise, we've got to go to our next checks move.
19:50Doesn't need it yet.
19:53Working for Deegan.
19:55See if he can keep it working all the way to the end.
19:58See if he can keep it working all the way to the end.
20:00See if he can keep it working all the way to the end.
20:01See if he can keep it working all the way to the end.
20:02See if he can keep it working all the way to the end.
20:03See if he can keep it working all the way to the end.
20:04See if he can keep it working all the way to the end.
20:05See if he can keep it working all the way to the end.
20:06See if he can keep it working all the way to the end.
20:07See if he can keep it working all the way to the end.
20:08See if he can keep it working all the way to the end.
20:09See if he can keep it working all the way to the end.
20:10See if he can keep it working all the way to the end.

23:53O POvrinho está aqui, vai para o lado
23:55do seu time.
23:56Então é um, está lá.
23:59Não é isso, estamos forcedimos
24:01para o lado suave, para quem está
24:02falando.
24:03Eles saben o que estão fazendo
24:05aqui.
24:07Eu amo de Heidegger, que já pretende
24:09só que o jogou com o jogador,
24:11ele está fazendo o jogo um
24:13típico, ele fez um, deixei de
24:16ele um.
24:17É um, dois, dois, um, deixei.
24:20É que essa é a de Barra.
24:22That's where essa rider has got it figured out.
24:24That's how it is mentally he's getting it done.
24:27It's impressive.
24:28A big lead.
24:29It is impressive how fast they're both going in the lead they have.
24:32But we still have to shout out this third place rider.
24:34This would be the first ever podium moto finish for Dylan Schwartz out of Alpod, California.
24:40Season best is a seventh, career best is a sixth.
24:44But this has been brewing.
24:46You see how the results have gotten better.
24:48And at Redbud he was in this position.
24:50He actually had a rock stuck in the sprocket and drivetrain of the bike.
24:55So that result that Redbud two weeks ago was spoiled by that.
24:58He's been riding well on the 44 the last couple of weekends.
25:02And now it might pay off.
25:04Battle behind him.
25:06March Banks has taken fourth.
25:10Then it's Forkner.
25:11Then it's Boland.
25:12And a great fight for that fourth, fifth, and sixth spot.
25:14Yeah, and Austin just got around Boland, too.
25:18So great to see Austin up in the top five.
25:21And we know his story.
25:22It's been getting better and better throughout the year.
25:24This motorcycle has gotten better and better.
25:27Good to see him up here.
25:28He's going to have his hands full with Seth Handmaker.
25:31Handmaker, March Banks, they're all lurking right now.
25:34March Banks just ahead.
25:35There's Forkner.
25:36Got that neon yellow helmet on the Triumph.
25:38Can he hold off Boland on the 92?
25:40Yeah, that section's really slipped.
25:42We saw Boland almost lose the front end.
25:45And right behind him, you got Austin's teammate Jordan Smith.
25:48Good to see him up here starting to close that gap.
25:50And this is what he needs.
25:52He needs these guys to battle, slow that pace down,
25:54and maybe Jordan can end up getting around all three of these guys for a top five.
26:01So it's March Banks ahead of these riders.
26:03He's climbed to fourth.
26:04Then this 83 of Forkner is fifth.
26:07Boland, sixth, Handmaker, seventh.
26:08With Smith, Harup, and Forkner running well again for Triumph.
26:14Swole had that early lead.
26:15He crashed out last week.
26:16They had four of the top ten finishers on that team.
26:20Looking for three out of the top ten here.
26:22They are definitely putting things together in their second year.
26:26Race and dirt bikes in America will.
26:29I got to talk to Jordan Smith about that whole process a little bit earlier, Jason,
26:34as we see them running in this top ten again.
26:36And they were just extremely proud of their work.
26:37They said the vibe there over at the team is great just seeing the progress.
26:41And I asked about what the week looks like.
26:43And he said we're making fairly bold changes, but it's always let's figure it out.
26:48Let's decide are we running with this?
26:49No, let's get our motos done.
26:50So he said the work's still there, but they're trying lots of things.
26:54And he said that sort of process that they figured out, he attributed their success
26:58and how much they're moving forward to that.
27:00He said because we don't go down an alley.
27:02We don't sort of go down this path too far.
27:04He said are we running with this?
27:05If we are, we make progress with that setting.
27:08So that's been their strategy and it's been pairing off the team.
27:12That certainly is.
27:12By the way, look at the graphics of the bike.
27:14This is considered the military appreciation race.
27:16So a lot of the bikes have a little bit different livery than usual.
27:20That would be the case for Marchbanks, who we see has caught Schwartz in a battle for third,
27:27trying to take that first ever career podium moto finish away for the 44.
27:32Yeah, Dylan's in trouble right now because if anybody on this racetrack has figured out
27:36how to pass people, it's Garrett Marchbank, our fastest qualifier earlier.
27:40Dylan's doing a good job, but I think Garrett either tried to square him up.
27:43Nice slot by him blocking him, but Garrett's going to end up getting around and he's been
27:48making that time and we know he has that pace, but the starts have been a problem and it
27:53seems like every year, every weekend, we're talking about Garrett coming up through the
27:57pack with the speed, but it's always coming up through the back of the pack.
28:00He has passed over 130 riders this season.
28:04Oh, the 100-foot jump.
28:06Schwartz didn't clear it.
28:07He came up short, bounced the landing.
28:09It's 100-foot.
28:10He came up 99.5, a little bounce, and there you go.
28:14Garrett's made that pass.
28:15Now moves his way up into third, but still a great ride by Dylan to be in that top five
28:19and been strong this whole moto.
28:21Oh, absolutely.
28:24It's a building process for him, and look, he wants to get Marchbank's back.
28:28And maybe he can sit back and, you know, being up here, he knows the pace.
28:32I mean, his lap times are pretty similar to Garrett.
28:36Maybe he can find out some lines, try to stick with him, but it's going to be hard to do
28:40with the 36.
28:41He's in the role right now.
28:42J.T.
28:46By the number 44, Dylan Schwartz.
28:47Unfortunately, it looks like he may be giving up that podium spot, but this is the building
28:51for a few weeks, Jason.
28:53Think about that Redbud nationally qualifies out of nowhere in the top three.
28:57That was kind of the first sign, and it's very rare that these riders will put in a result
29:01like this without signs of it beforehand.
29:04You see him laboring a little bit.
29:05He's probably been pushing harder to this moto than he ever has before, but this is kind
29:09of the culmination of progress that he's shown over multiple weeks, and it's a great look
29:14here for the 44.
29:15And the whole team, J.T., the Toyota Redlands Bar X Yamaha squad.
29:19Got a couple other riders who have been putting in great results as well, like the rookie,
29:23Parker Ross, who is running 12th right now.
29:25So they're building something, a team that have raced Suzuki's for a long time, now switching
29:30to Yamaha this season, and it's really taken them the bulk of the year to adjust to that motorcycle.
29:35But to talk towards last week in Minnesota, much happier with the bike, and it's showing.
29:41As for Marchbanks up ahead of him, he's got the vibes.
29:44Cameron Hayes, who's the Grand Marshal this weekend, a world-class bow hunter, and he found
29:50out that Marchbanks is a fan.
29:51So Marchbanks and Eli Tomac went out yesterday, shot the bows in a real special ceremony in
30:00the center of the racetrack.
30:01And Hayes is pretty impressed with what Marchbanks and Tomac were able to do.
30:06And Marchbanks now up to a podium spot in third, had the good vibes all weekend.
30:10Yeah, dropping bows on people, dropping bows out here.
30:13I know who not, if I'm stuck in the woods, I want to hang out with Garrett or Eli.
30:17Want to be on their side?
30:18Yeah, I want to be on their side.
30:21Marchbanks, one previous career moto podium.
30:25Colorado moto one this year, and again, that was a day where he had not terrible starts,
30:32I'd say medium starts, and was able to take advantage of that.
30:34Then moto two had his problems.
30:37Marchbanks looking for the podium overall today.
30:40Yeah, and that's crazy how good he's been riding only one, you know, podium,
30:45and he's running third in the point.
30:47So it shows you how consistent he has been.
30:50But all these guys, you asked me that question earlier, is this mental?
30:53And Jason said it perfectly.
30:55You got to start seeing those signs, and then all of a sudden they pop up.
30:59This really comes down to mentally, because these guys haven't just figured out how to go faster.
31:02They're starting to believe in each other.
31:04And what right now, George Smith is starting to believe that he can get that top five around his teammate.
31:09Because he's able to get around Bolin and Handmaker, now he's right behind his teammate for sixth place.
31:16Yeah, I think they're believing in the bike.
31:17This is week after week.
31:18You're seeing the triumphs in the top ten now making advances toward the podium.
31:22Top five, Forkner fifth, Smith sixth.
31:26That's them battling with the bright colors there on the bikes, the 83 and the 19.
31:32And for the moment at least, able to shed Hamaker, who would be next in line on that green, Monster Pro Circuit Kawasaki, the 56.
31:43And now a lot of traffic for them to deal with.
31:45And a reminder, second moto's coming up.
31:47You can watch it live on Peacock or the SMX video pass outside the United States.
31:54Yeah, you see how quickly Jordan ran into, almost ran in the back of Austin in that corner.
32:00It almost looks like he was going to run into him.
32:01Again, I believe a lot of that was coming from Roos.
32:04He knows if you get really close to a rider, the way they're tired, the Roos comes off the tire.
32:09If you get close to him, you actually get missed.
32:11So I think Jordan Smith, really confident.
32:14He's able to catch Austin.
32:15He probably knows he's probably a little bit more in shape than Austin because Austin's been out.
32:20And if anybody on the racetrack you want to beat, you want to beat your teammate.
32:25Who's going to be the top triumph, the triumphant triumph in this battle?
32:29Smith, the veteran out of Belmont, North Carolina.
32:32But now all the triumphant riders live in Georgia.
32:34Ride, train, test the motorcycles together there.
32:38Unique things about motocross.
32:42No simulators.
32:43They're on the bikes during the week replicating this exact battle.
32:46I bet you on a Tuesday probably doesn't look much different.
32:48Yeah, I like what Jordan's doing.
32:51He's going outsides and not necessarily trying to pass him, but he's trying to make Austin think about where he's at
32:57and maybe Austin will make a mistake.
32:58But nonetheless, it's still a great round by the 83 out here, running top five at the end of the moto.
33:05Jordan's going to have his hands full, but I believe if he gets close to him,
33:07there's a couple places where he can, he's a little bit quicker, he might be able to get his teammate.
33:12You've got to use these lappers as almost like a pick and roll if you get close enough to him.
33:19Still time.
33:20A lap and a half left.
33:21Hayden Deegan has pulled away from Joe Shimoda.
33:25Marchbank's getting away from Schwartz, leaving this battle as the closest in the top five.
33:29To be huge for Forkner if he can get that top five.
33:35He hasn't had one since Ironman in 2023 in a moto.
33:41Yeah, when you talk about Jordan Smith and how fast he's been,
33:44he's running the same lap times as the two leaders out front at 221s,
33:48and that's really impressive thinking that he's been making passes
33:51and a little bit quicker than his teammate,
33:54but Austin's doing a great job and knowing where Jordan wants to go and blocking that line.
33:59Making a difference for him.
34:04Nowhere to go for Smith in that corner?
34:07No, Austin, no, you just take a little break.
34:11Yep.
34:13Didn't have to hustle, not one line section,
34:15now about to head back uphill as Skyway jumped into the sand.
34:20Now let's see if Jordan can get up, he's got to stay close to him
34:23because I believe the way his lines are through the wolves running outside,
34:26he stays close to Austin.
34:28I think he'll be able to get around him with that more momentum by using that outside,
34:32but Austin's doing a great job at bridging that gap.
34:35Jordan's not close enough now.
34:36Let's see what he does here.
34:39Meanwhile, Joe Shimoda's not close enough anymore either.
34:43Hayden Deegan to look over his left shoulder to make sure he has running room.
34:47The dominant champion last year, the dominant series leader this year.
34:54At a track that he's never lost on.
34:57He'll be back for Moto2 today in about an hour to try to keep that streak alive.
35:02You can watch it on Peacock.
35:03As for the NBC show, Danger Boy, the sensation delivering again.
35:11Yeah, this gap has been about five seconds, this whole Moto.
35:14And I like what Joe's doing because even though he's got 20 seconds between him and Garrett Marks,
35:19push Hayden towards the end.
35:21Like, you know, if you slow down, then Hayden's going to start resting for that second Moto.
35:24So just, you might as well keep pushing it, especially if you believe in your fitness.
35:28And we know how strong Joe has been in these second Moto.
35:31Just continue to push him.
35:32You know you're not going to beat him, but you're going to keep pushing him for that next race,
35:36and you never know what's going to happen.
35:40He wins this Moto.
35:41Deegan will tie none other than Eli Tomac for 11th all-time in career Moto wins in this 250 class.
35:49It'll be the 23rd Moto win of his career.
35:51And if he continues to win at this clip, he's only 19.
35:58Could become the third winningest teenager in this class of the history, this sport behind Oldie.
36:05You're in there again, James.
36:06You and our colleague Ricky Carmichael.
36:08He can't catch you.
36:09I got him.
36:10Yep.
36:10I got him.
36:11He's going to run out of teenage years before he gets to the next race.
36:15That's right.
36:17Yeah, even if he did come back to the 256, it'd be 20.
36:19So that record is undoable.
36:22Unstooable?
36:23It's unstooable.
36:24That record's going to be unstooable for sure.
36:27But he's definitely the best of today.
36:30Hayden Deegan, another Moto win en route.
36:35Saluted by the fans here at Washougal.
36:40Danger boy.
36:42Hayden Deegan wins Moto 1.
36:43Joe Shimoda pushed it halfway through the race.
36:48He got to the rear wheel of Deegan, but couldn't hang there.
36:53And he will take second on the Honda.
36:57And another one for the Monster Energy Alaha Star Racing Team.
37:00Um, well, as well.
37:01Ladies and gentlemen, thanks for containing the해.
37:02Thank you.
37:05Thanks, man.
37:07Bye.
37:07Bye.
37:08Bye.
37:13Bye.
37:18Bye.
37:19Bye.
37:21Bye.
37:22Bye.
37:23Bye.
37:26Bye.
37:27Bye.
37:27Bye.
37:28Bye.
37:29Bye.
