05:03I think the difference is as you get older, you try not to make this mistake.
05:06And we haven't seen Jet turn one mistake into two or three.
05:09And this is why he is your points leader.

05:51First moto was not great with the seventh.
05:53But it sure looks good now.

06:01And Jorge getting a start.
06:02What can he do with it?
06:04That's where he normally is out front.
06:06And he looks like a whole different rider.

06:12He's gone from 17th to 11th.
06:15He gets around at Guillaume.
06:16JT, what are you thinking about the race leader there, number 70?
06:19Well, this is the Jorge Prado that we were promised.
06:22This is the guy that gets the starts and knows what to do with him.
06:25Now, the most important aspect of this race, as I see it, is he has to believe in himself.
06:30He has to lean on years of experience of leading and winning races.
06:35He has to forget about all the other races so far in 2025 and lean on what he has done in the past
06:41and let that drive him into the future.
06:44And, JT, we've been hearing a lot about him getting help.
06:48We don't know how official it is at this point from Chad.
06:51I didn't read a good friend of yours in South Carolina at Club MX where they've both been based.
06:57And he was talking to me earlier about how important it is to kind of step in and help him out
07:02with the translation of what he needed from the bike and getting that to happen.
07:06And when he talked about translation, he's not referring to, you know, the sort of language barrier of speaking Spanish to English.
07:13He's referring to a rider's interpretation, James.
07:16He was referring to the fact of saying, if this is what the bike is feeling like to me, what do you want to do with that?
07:22And how are the team, a new team to him, going to interpret that to get him the feeling that he needs?
07:26And that's been taking time.
07:28And that's understandable when it's a new brand.
07:30And then you're jumping to so many new things, as you said, Weege, including an entirely new country and race series.
07:36Well, there's so much new out here, Will.
07:37We just saw Tony Corolli in that debut for Ducati.
07:40And at the end, that bike has let go.
07:43But, yeah, Chad Reed, a champion of this series and also Monster Energy Supercross, one of the legends of the sport, now helping with Prado's program.
07:51Yeah, and obviously it is.
07:52And I think it's just, you know, like in football or, you know, basketball, sometimes you just need to hear a different voice, you know, leading the locker room.
07:59And I think that's where Chad really comes in.
08:01It's not like Jorge doesn't understand what he's trying to tell those guys or those guys don't understand them.
08:05But sometimes that voice to give them confidence of a new beginning.
08:09But I will say this.
08:10I actually thought something happened to Chase's motorcycle because the way Chad Lawrence went past him going down a hill.
08:15I thought Chase made a mistake.
08:17But now I'm starting to see, man, this kid is coming up through the pack.
08:21And he's got some flow going as he tries to get around Jason Anderson up the inside by hitting LaRocco's lead.
08:26Looks like R.J. Hampshire on the number 24 Husqvarna is right in front of him.
08:30So, Chad Lawrence senses the urgency, Jason.
08:32Yeah, you got to watch that red number 18.
08:34And they're making a bid for the overall.
08:36He won the first moto earlier today.
08:38He's sixth.
08:39His brother Hunter has climbed to third.
08:42He would have a two-three.
08:43And at the moment now, Hunter would be the Redbud overall winner.
08:47But it could change again because Justin Cooper from second now has Prado the leader in his sights, JT.
08:54He does.
08:54And there are battles all over this racetrack.
08:56But I'm watching Jett Lawrence steadily move forward.
08:59And the biggest thing here, he's already made one mistake.
09:01I think he was rushing it a little bit, got too excited.
09:04He just has to trust himself.
09:07Trust the pace.
09:08The math will take care of itself.
09:09If he can keep turning in really good lap times and not get trapped behind the likes of R.J. Hampshire or his brother Hunter, this race is still in play.
09:18But you have to trust.
09:19It's so cliche to say, but you have to trust the process to drag him forward.
09:24Yeah, no, I mean there, James.
09:25I know.
09:25I completely agree.
09:26And basically what he's saying is, like, when you're looking, you'll see Jorge coming down this next section.
09:31And so Jett, immediately as a rider, you're like, man, I want to get to him.
09:35But when you recognize in the whole grand scheme of things, you have the pace to just continue on this.
09:40If you don't get stuck behind R.J. and try to rush it, as we saw Hayden Deegan in that 250 class, if you just continue on this pace, eventually you won't see Jorge going down that side because you're going to be in front of him.
09:50And I think that's what he's trying to do, and he's got to manage that.
09:53But age comes to that point, and the way Jett Lawrence is looking, he's still going to win this race if he doesn't make another mistake this moto.
10:00He would need to get behind his brother Hunter if Hunter finishes second.
10:05Jett would need to get to third, and he's making moves right now for fourth, and he's got the pass on Hefshire.
10:11Man, just his momentum when you're this shot that we have, you can just tell how much more momentum Jett has in the corners where these other guys are really stopping.
10:20and they're getting caught up in the corners.
10:22Jett's either hopping over the bumps, but his miles an hour throughout the corner, it's just a lot faster.
10:27Instead of him slowing down when he gets to the bend of the corner, he just goes 30 miles an hour instead of a normal 25, and he's catching these guys throughout it.
10:35Look at the math.
10:35With that pass, Jett Lawrence momentarily has the overall win in hand, but if his brother Hunter makes passes, he can get it back as Jorge Prado continues to lead the individual race.

16:38They had the 250 mechanics coming over to help them,
16:41and they only got Jay Coop's bike done just 10 minutes before he rolled out to the start line there.
16:46So incredible that he's doing what he's doing anyway,
16:49and if you add that kind of stress leading up to the moto as well.
16:52Very impressive.
16:55Barely got that thing to the line, and here is Cooper out of Long Island, New York,
16:58now leading the race, Will.
17:00The bottom box is Sexton continuing to make ground on Hunter Lawrence in the fight for third.
17:06Hunter, at one point, was in control of the overall.
17:10Once Jet got behind him, Jet had it,
17:13but I thought Hunter had a shot at going after Prado and Cooper.
17:16Instead, it's gone the other way around.
17:18Jet passed Hunter.
17:19Hunter is now under pressure from Sexton.
17:22Yeah, and that's a tough position because...
17:24Oh, Sexton almost got him.
17:25Yeah, heads up routed by Chase.
17:26He had to slam on the brakes, and, you know, Chase might have been able to find Jet's line
17:30because he was behind him watching Jet make all these passes.
17:32So Hunter wants to continue after his brother for overall,
17:35but he's got to worry about that number one behind him,
17:37and you know if you leave that door open, he's coming in as well.
17:40So good ride by both of these two,
17:42but I believe Hunter is kind of riding in that protective mode
17:44rather than the offensive moving forward towards Jet again.
17:47Well, it's all part of the road to the SMX playoffs.

18:16and then it'll all wrap up world championship in Las Vegas at the strip, the drag strip,
18:22and that is why Sexton has returned to racing.
18:25He wants points for the seeding of the playoffs.

18:38And you said it, Jason, how important these SMX playoffs are for all these riders and for Chase Sexton.
18:44He said, look, this is one of the reasons that I am back,
18:46and when I asked him about not racing since we saw him at the opening round of Parlay,
18:51he said, I was recovering from injury for about three or four weeks,
18:54and then he said, I wanted to take care of some health stuff
18:56that had been lingering all the way through supercross.
18:58and he was talking to me about what a fine balance that was to try and recover from all of that
19:03and give himself a chance in that break,
19:05but at the same time not miss too many of these races
19:08because he knew that the SMX points were so important.
19:12So he said, I'm not 100%, but that balance has to be considered
19:16because these playoffs are very important to them.
19:18I'll tell you what's important, Will.
19:21Jed Lawrence just passed Jorge Prado for second.
19:25He is one rider away from going from 18th to first in this race.
19:31Yeah, Jed Lawrence has definitely got that pace,
19:32but I think his biggest word is not Justin Cooper out front,
19:35but making sure you continue with that Chase Sexton behind him
19:38because Chase has gotten around Jorge as we saw Justin Cooper just sneak out of your screen.
19:42So both these guys, Chase Sexton is pushing Jed Lawrence up,
19:46and Jed Lawrence is catching the number 32,
19:48but I think his biggest threat is going to be behind him on that number one
19:51and on that KTM behind him as his moto goes.
19:54Well, this is the battle everyone really wanted to see.

20:32he has been super strong at the end of the races.

20:39but because he hasn't been racing,
20:40you just really never know where his fitness is.
20:41But, JT, I love what I've seen from the number one.
20:45He looks like a completely different guy, James,
20:48and when I watch him, he looks like he's riding angry.
20:51I don't think that first moto riding in the back,
20:5340 seconds down to Jed Lawrence, sat very well with him,
20:57and he came out here determined
20:58that whether or not he can go up and pass Jed Lawrence,
21:01that's a whole different story,
21:02but this is a completely different rider
21:04than we saw an hour and a half ago.

21:07I think what it was when Jed went flying past him
21:10going down that hill, it would have made me angry this second moto,
21:13because as I mentioned,
21:14I thought something happened to Chase's motorcycle the way he was,
21:17but in Chase, what he needs to see
21:19is these little mistakes that you see from Jed Lawrence,
21:21you know, Jed slamming in his corners,
21:23the bike dancing around,
21:24coming up a little bit shorter on the LaRocca's Leaf,
21:26all that little bit of, you know,
21:28mistakes by Jed is going to keep that number one motivated,
21:31and you never know what's going to happen.
