00:00Sexton, last year's champion, back in action. Time to bring the heat. Pro Motocross, underway. Terrible start for Sexton. It is Cody Schock on the Yamaha and the 70 of Jorge Prado, battling for the lead.
00:19It's like Tony Carole and Ducati slides up. When they were in third, they got passed, but Cody Schock back out front. It was a few weekends ago when we saw him out in Thunder Valley.
00:29It's a great story. The Club of Mexico, Muckoff, FXR, Yamaha team, not the full factory squad. They get some help and they make the most of it. So Schock to the lead.
00:38It is Valentin Guillaume with a good start and Prado battling right now in second. Prado, the Spaniard moving to America this year and known for the good starts when he was winning titles in Europe.
00:51He's got a good one right now and he's got a line on the inside of Schock. Joey Savace, the 17 quadlock Honda, down early.
00:58No, nice, nice move. Jorge's out front. He probably got a sense of Guillaume and Caroleban. He thought he's back in Europe over here.
01:05I wanted to show these guys where to look. This is Jorge. So maybe that little bit of reminds him what he was doing over in Europe because it is good to see two-time MotoGP champion, MXGP champion out front.
01:15And let's see what he can do with this, Jason, because he hasn't been clear, close to the lead for a few, actually all season.
01:21Yes, this is what Prado was known for in Europe. Good starts and early race speed. Now that's what Jet Lawrence is known for racing here in America, but he is buried.
01:30I saw him listed eighth. I think it might be worse than that. You see him on the outside here on the 18.
01:36Yeah, it looks like Cooper Webb is right in front of him. Where's Chase Sexton and Eli Tomac? I thought they were somewhat near.
01:42But the good thing for Jet, the strongest guys, it seems like behind him, so.
01:49Yes, you're right. The traditional front runners all with bad starts in this Moto.
01:52Here's Lawrence of the 18 again, trying to get around the 9-9-2 of Guido. Had that good start.
01:58Jason Anderson of the 21. He's trying to get them in bunches.
02:02Yeah, now Jet's just got to be careful here. You know, you can see Jorge at the end of this section, so he's not too far behind him.
02:08Just make sure these guys, you don't get caught up. We saw what happened to Hayden.
02:11Oh! Lawrence has crashed!
02:14And he's going to lose a ton of spots because the pack is close early.
02:18Just as of a sandwich, he just had to be careful, kind of let this thing play out.
02:22Because everybody was behind him. That is not what you wanted to see if you're a Honda fan and Jet Lawrence.
02:28So let's see what he does. Regroup. Long race to go.
02:32He's won every race this year. He's won all but one in his entire career, dating back to 2023 in this 450 division.
02:40But he is on the ropes now.
02:44Mitchell Harrison, a Michigan native in front of him, is in 16th. Jet is 17th.
02:50Prado out front. Shock under pressure from Justin Cooper. This is the battle for second.
02:59And Cooper going to try to make it happen from the outside, and he does.
03:03Yep. And then as Cooper makes the pass, we remember the opening moto.
03:07So he wasn't with us on Peacock. Justin Cooper has some fast, some really good pace in that opening moto towards the end.
03:13So maybe he's found the flow. And this is the opportunity for all these guys, including Jorge, to see if he can do something with this lead.
03:20Justin Cooper, he's been on the brink of winning one of these races.
03:23Been his fastest qualifier a lot of times this year.
03:25So this is what they needed to do, just like that 250 class.
03:29Get some of these guys who've been fast. See what they can do with it when they're out front.
03:32So much chaos. So Hunter Lawrence second in the first moto.
03:36Sixth right now. Eli Tomat was running third in moto one. Bike blew up.
03:41He's 21st. And then Jet, as we mentioned, his troubles with a bad start in crash.
03:46Doors open for an upset win today.
03:48Bottom box is Jet Lawrence on that number 18.
03:53Looking to make moves toward the front.
03:55Yeah, he's going behind my brother. That was Malcolm Stewart.
03:58Heads up riding by Malcolm. I mean, Jet.
04:00Malcolm cut back towards outside. Jet had to break.
04:03Otherwise, he almost got cross-rutted.
04:04So if they can get the La Rocco's lead clear.
04:08And just look how many guys are in front of Jet Lawrence at the moment.
04:11He has an opportunity to get a bunch, but he's got to stay up.
04:14Don't want to take another mistake because then you have to start worrying about the overall victory at this point.
04:19Looking to clear. Malcolm, your brother, there from the outside.
04:22And he makes the pass in that bottom box.
04:24Now quick to those sand rollers around the Frenchman.
04:28Benoit Patrelle.
04:30Up front in that box at the top.
04:33Hunter Lawrence making moves.
04:35He could be the beneficiary for the overall win with the two motos combined today.
04:40On that 96 in red.
04:41He just passed Tony Corolli on that brand new Ducati.
04:45And that could be King.
04:46If Hunter can grab a few more spots, he could be the overall winner for the first time in his career.
04:51Yeah, he's got to make it happen.
04:53But what a move by Jet.
04:54I haven't seen many people on the outside all day long.
04:58And, man, he had that Honda ripping around it outside.
05:01Great move by him.
05:02But let's see what he's made of.
05:04I think the difference is as you get older, you try not to make this mistake.
05:07And we haven't seen Jet turn one mistake into two or three.
05:10And this is why he is your points leader.
05:11It meant so strong to beat.
05:13But now he's got his work full as his brother's starting to cruise up and make his way.
05:17Chase Sexton still in front of him.
05:19Incredibly, if it ended like this, with the two motos combined, Prada would win the day with a seventh and a first.
05:27And he's pulling away now on the monster Kawasaki.
05:30And what a journey it has been for him and this team.
05:32It has been a mighty struggle as the Spaniard tries to adjust to racing in America on a different team and bike than the one he raced in Europe.
05:41Talked to the crew chief, Oscar Wienermann, yesterday.
05:44And he said they made more changes and bigger changes this week than they have at any point this year.
05:50He was optimistic they would work.
05:52First moto was not great with a seventh.
05:55But it sure looks good now.
05:56Yeah, no, it definitely looks good.
05:57And I'm going to give JT, Ronald Jason Thomas, a shout-out because he's been talking all year long and Jorge getting a start.
06:03What can he do with it?
06:05That's where he normally is out front.
06:07And he looks like a whole different rider.
06:08So shout-out to you, JT, for calling this.
06:10Might be on to something here.
06:12Chet making more moves.
06:13He's gone from 17th to 11th.
06:16He gets around Guillaume.
06:17JT, what are you thinking about the race leader there, number 70?
06:20Well, this is the Jorge Prado that we were promised.
06:23This is the guy that gets the starts and knows what to do with him.
06:26Now, the most important aspect of this race, as I see it, is he has to believe in himself.
06:31He has to lean on years of experience of leading and winning races.
06:36He has to forget about all the other races so far in 2025 and lean on what he has done in the past and let that drive him into the future.
06:44And, JT, we've been hearing a lot about him getting help.
06:49We don't know how official it is at this point from Chad Reed, a good friend of yours, in South Carolina at Club MX where they've both been based.
06:57And he was talking to me earlier about how important it is to kind of step in and help him out with the translation of what he needed from the bike and getting that to happen.
07:07And when he talked about translation, he's not referring to, you know, the sort of language barrier of speaking Spanish to English.
07:13He's referring to a rider's interpretation, James.
07:17He was referring to the fact that he was saying, this is what the bike is feeling like to me.
07:21What do you want to do with that?
07:22And how are the team, a new team to him, going to interpret that to get him the feeling that he needs?
07:27And that's been taking time, and that's understandable when it's a new brand.
07:30And then you're jumping to so many new things, as you said, Weegee, including a entirely new country and race series.
07:36Well, there's so much new out here, Will.
07:38We just saw Tony Caroli in that debut for Ducati, and that bike has let go.
07:44But, yeah, Chad Reed, a champion of this series and also Monster Energy Supercross, one of the legends of the sport, now helping with Prado's program.
07:51Yeah, and obviously it is.
07:53And I think it's just, you know, like in football or, you know, basketball, sometimes you just need to hear a different voice, you know, leading the locker room.
08:00And I think that's where Chad really comes in.
08:02It's not like Jorge doesn't understand what he's trying to tell those guys or those guys don't understand them.
08:06But sometimes that voice to give them confidence of a new beginning.
08:10But I will say this.
08:11I actually thought something happened to Chase's motorcycle because way Chad Lawrence went past him going down a hill, I thought Chase made a mistake.
08:17But now I'm starting to see, man, this kid is coming up through the pack, and he's got some flow going as he tries to get around Jason Anderson up the inside by hitting LaRocco's lead.
08:27Looks like R.J. Hampshire on a dumber 24 Husqvarna is right in front of him.
08:31So, Chad Lawrence senses that urgency, Jason.
08:33Yeah, you got to watch that red number 18 there making a bid for the overall.
08:37He won the first moto earlier today.
08:39He's sixth.
08:40His brother Hunter has climbed to third.
08:42He would have a 2-3, and at the moment now Hunter would be the Red Bud overall winner.
08:48But it could change again because Justin Cooper from second now has Prado the leader in his sights, JT.
08:54He does, and there are battles all over this racetrack.
08:56But I'm watching Jett Lawrence steadily move forward.
09:00And the biggest thing here, he's already made one mistake.
09:02I think he's rushing it a little bit, got too excited.
09:05He just has to trust himself.
09:07Trust the pace.
09:08The math will take care of itself.
09:10If he can keep turning in really good lap times and not get trapped behind the likes of R.J. Hampshire or his brother Hunter,
09:17this race is still in play, but you have to trust.
09:20It's so cliche to say, but you have to trust the process to drag him forward.
09:24Yeah, no, I mean there, James.
09:26I know.
09:26I completely agree.
09:27And basically what he's saying is, like, when you're looking, you'll see Jorge coming down to his next section.
09:32So, Jett, immediately as a rider, you'll be like, man, I want to get to him.
09:35But when you recognize in the whole grand scheme of things, you have the pace to just continue on this.
09:40If you don't get stuck behind R.J. and try to rush it, as we saw Hayden Deegan in that 250 class,
09:46if you just continue on his pace, eventually you won't see Jorge going down that side because you're going to be in front of him.
09:51And I think that's what he's trying to do, and he's got to manage that.
09:54But age comes to that point, and the way Jett Lawrence is looking, he's still going to win this race if he doesn't make another mistake this moto.
10:01He would need to get behind his brother Hunter.
10:04If Hunter finishes second, Jett would need to get to third, and he's making moves right now for fourth, and he's got the pass on Hefshire.
10:11Man, just his momentum when you're this shot that we have, you can just tell how much more momentum Jett has in the corners,
10:19where these other guys are really stopping and getting caught up in the corners.
10:22Jett's either hopping over the bumps, but his miles an hour throughout the corner, it's just a lot faster.
10:28Instead of him slowing down when he gets to the bend of the corner, he just goes 30 miles an hour instead of the normal 25,
10:34and he's catching these guys throughout it.
10:35Look at the math.
10:36With that pass, Jett Lawrence momentarily has the overall win in hand, but if his brother Hunter makes passes,
10:43he can get it back as Jorge Prado continues to lead the individual race.
10:52He can get it back as Jorge Prado continues to lead the individual race.
11:22He can get it back as Jorge Prado continues to lead the individual race.
11:52He can get it back as Jorge Prado continues to lead the individual race.
11:53He can get it back as Jorge Prado continues to lead the individual race.
11:54He can get it back as Jorge Prado continues to lead the individual race.
11:55He can get it back as Jorge Prado continues to lead the individual race.
11:56He can get it back as Jorge Prado continues to lead the individual race.
11:57He can get it back as Jorge Prado continues to lead the individual race.
11:58He can get it back as Jorge Prado continues to lead the individual race.
11:59He can get it back as Jorge Prado continues to lead the individual race.
12:00He can get it back as Jorge Prado continues to lead the individual race.
12:01He can get it back as Jorge Prado continues to lead the individual race.
12:02He can get it back as Jorge Prado continues to lead the individual race.
12:03He can get it back as Jorge Prado continues to lead the individual race.
14:39Hampshire, Barsha, and Tomac in the top 10.
14:42Tomac coming off from a bad start.
14:44But here's what I say, the plot thickens, here's what we're talking about.
14:49There is a chance that Jet Lords, who is 18th early in this race after a crash.
14:54James Stewart, can he run these two down and even win the individual moto?
14:57He's going to run these two down.
14:59He's going to run these two down here.
15:01I mean, I think the hope for Justin Cooper.
15:03Cooper going for the lead right now, James.
15:05Got it.
15:05Yeah, I was going to say the hope for Justin Cooper as he get around Jorge.
15:08Jorge has a good pace, but Justin is, you know, you can tell he's getting stalled out behind him.
15:13But Jet is coming, and if he doesn't make a mistake, yeah, he will chase these guys down.
15:18Well, who's chasing him?
15:19And the reason that's going to happen is because he has the defending champion, Jet Lawrence.
15:22He has Chase Sexton coming up.
15:24Behind him is once he got passed by Jet, he's been able to match Jet's pace.
15:28Yeah, that's Sexton in the one on the bottom box.
15:31He's trying to pass Hunter Lawrence for fourth.
15:33Yeah, Sexton has come to life.
15:35And I know Chase hasn't been here all year long, but we've got to go back to last year.
15:39This kid was the strongest in these second motos, almost like we're Jet Lawrence,
15:43where he knew once he was going to the gate, he was going to win him.
15:45So this is second moto.
15:47He hasn't been here, but you've got to think that he's going to lean on what he was able to accomplish last year.
15:52His biggest thing is he's got to get around Jet Lawrence's older brother, Hunter Lawrence.
15:58Otherwise, not get stalled out.
16:00Keep up with that number one.
16:0118, excuse me.
16:03At the top, Justin Cooper has never won a moto in the premier class of pro motocross.
16:09He's in position to do it right now as he's getting away from Prado.
16:14Will.
16:16Remember what happened to Eli Tomac there in the first moto when the bike gave up?
16:21I checked in with the team, and they had to do an engine swap out on it.
16:24They hadn't diagnosed it.
16:25That happens kind of this week.
16:27They don't have time to do it.
16:27But as a safety precaution, they also swapped out Justin Cooper's engine and Cooper Webb's engine as well
16:34because they wanted to make sure that there were no issues across the board there.
16:38They told me it was quite the hustle.
16:39They had the 250 mechanics coming over to help them,
16:41and they only got Jay Coop's fight done just 10 minutes before he rolled out to the start line there.
16:47So incredible that he's doing what he's doing anywhere,
16:49and if you add that kind of stress leading up to the moto as well.
16:52Very impressive.
16:53Whoo!
16:55Barely got that thing to the line, and here is Cooper out of Long Island, New York, now leading the race, Will.
17:01The bottom box is Sexton continuing to make ground on Hunter Lawrence in the fight for third.
17:07Hunter, at one point, was in control of the overall.
17:11Once Jet got behind him, Jet had it, but I thought Hunter had a shot at going after Prado and Cooper.
17:17Instead, it's gone the other way around.
17:19Jet passed Hunter.
17:20Hunter is now under pressure from Sexton.
17:22Yeah, and that's a tough position because Sexton almost got him.
17:26Yeah, heads up right by Chase.
17:27He had to slam on the brakes, and, you know, Chase might have been able to find Jet's line
17:31because he was behind him watching Jet make all these passes.
17:33So Hunter wants to continue after his brother for overall,
17:36but he's got to worry about that number one behind him,
17:38and you know if you leave that door open, he's coming in as well.
17:40So good ride by both of these two,
17:42but I believe Hunter is kind of riding in that protective mode
17:45rather than the offensive moving forward towards Jet again.
17:47Well, it's all part of the road to the SMX playoffs.
17:5228 races in Monster Energy Supercross,
17:55and this Pro Motocross championship leads to the best racers competing for the ultimate prize.
18:00You see that pass that Sexton's trying to make right there.
18:04The seeding in both of the regular season championships leads to the playoffs.
18:08Round one, Z-Max Dragway in Charlotte.
18:11Sexton makes the move.
18:13Round two, we're going to be in St. Louis on September 20th at the Dome,
18:17and then it'll all wrap up world championship in Las Vegas at the strip, the drag strip.
18:23And that is why Sexton has returned to racing.
18:26He wants points for the seeding in the playoffs.
18:29Go to supermotocross.com for all the information there.
18:33Chase Sexton really finding his form after missing five rounds of this championship, Will.
18:39And you said it, Jason, how important these SMX playoffs are for all these riders and for Chase Sexton.
18:45He said, look, this is one of the reasons that I am back.
18:47And when I asked him about not racing, since we saw him at the opening round of Parlay,
18:51he said, I was recovering from injury for about three or four weeks.
18:55And then he said, I wanted to take care of some health stuff that had been lingering all the way through Supercross.
18:59He was talking to me about what a fine balance that was to try and recover from all of that
19:03and give himself a chance in that break, but at the same time not miss too many of these races
19:09because he knew that the SMX points were so important.
19:12So he said, I'm not 100%, but that balance has to be considered because these playoffs are very important to them.
19:19I'll tell you what's important, Will.
19:21Jet Lawrence just passed Jorge Prado for second.
19:25He is one rider away from going from 18th to first in this race.
19:31Yeah, Jet Lawrence has definitely got the pace, but I think his biggest word is not Justin Cooper out front,
19:36but making sure you continue with that Chase Sexton behind him
19:39because Chase has gotten around Jorge as we saw Justin Cooper just sneak out of your screen.
19:43So both these guys, Chase Sexton is pushing Jet Lawrence up, and Jet Lawrence is catching the number 32.
19:49But I think his biggest threat is going to be behind him on that number one,
19:52on that KTM behind him as his moto goes.
19:54Well, this is the battle everyone really wanted to see, Lawrence versus Sexton.
19:58Lawrence won the title in 2023.
20:01Sexton missed races with injury.
20:03Sexton won the title last year.
20:04Lawrence missed races with injury.
20:07Now watch this.
20:08Prado in the bottom just gets passed by Lawrence, and here's Sexton's move.
20:15Yeah, that's some pace right there.
20:18That was quickly as...
20:19Oh, and Prado almost went off track.
20:21That's because he got scared when he recognized that KTM was rolling.
20:25Now, look, this race, it is hot.
20:28Jet Lawrence did go down here in the early part of the race, and Chase is coming.
20:31And like I mentioned earlier, he has been super strong at the end of the races.
20:36Normally, if Chase would have been at this season, I would say Chase is an advantage.
20:39But because he hasn't been racing, you just really never know where his fitness is.
20:42But JT, I love what I see from the number one.
20:46He looks like a completely different guy, James.
20:48And when I watch him, he looks like he's riding angry.
20:51I don't think that first moto riding in the back, 40 seconds down to Jet Lawrence, sat very well with him.
20:57And he came out here determined that whether or not he can go up and pass Jet Lawrence, that's a whole different story.
21:03But this is a completely different rider than we saw an hour and a half ago.
21:06Yeah, no, I agree.
21:08I think what it was when Jet went flying past him going down that hill, it would have made me angry at his second moto.
21:14Because as I mentioned, I thought something happened to Chase's motorcycle the way he was.
21:18But in Chase, what he needs to see is these little mistakes that you see from Jet Lawrence.
21:22You know, Jet slamming in his corners, a bike dancing around, coming up a little bit shorter on LaRocco's leave.
21:27All that little bit of, you know, mistakes by Jet is going to keep that number one motivated.
21:31And you never know what's going to happen.
21:33What direction will this go?
21:34No stretch run, Justin Cooper trying to win the first moto of his career.
21:38Lawrence and Sexton on a charge to the front.
21:41Stay with us.
21:41Number one, Chase Sexton.
21:43Number one, Chase Sexton.
21:43Number one, Chase Sexton.
22:04Number one, Chase Sexton.
22:13Number one, Chase Sexton.
22:14Number one, Chase Sexton.
22:15Number one, Chase Sexton.
22:16Number one, Chase Sexton.
22:17Number one, Chase Sexton.
22:18Number one, Chase Sexton.
22:19Number two, Chase Sexton.
22:20Number two, Chase Sexton.
22:21Number two, Chase Sexton.
22:22Number two, Chase Sexton.
22:23Number two, Chase Sexton.
22:24Number two, Chase Sexton.
22:25Number two, Chase Sexton.
22:26Number two, Chase Sexton.
22:27Number two, Chase Sexton.
22:28Number two, Chase Sexton.
22:29Number two, Chase Sexton.
22:30Number two, Chase Sexton.
22:31Number two, Chase Sexton.
25:03Top of the screen has done it.
25:05He's come from 18th to take the lead from Justin Cooper, the number one of Chase Sexton, following him through, looking to take over second from Cooper.
25:14Yeah, and the way he did it, man, he went flying past and watched.
25:17You're going to see Jet Lawrence hop over this inside mogul, and Justin Cooper is going to start to break, thinking that Jet's going to cut underneath.
25:24The Jet just slingshots around the outside.
25:26As you can tell, no one went on there and caught Justin Cooper by surprise.
25:30Strong move by the champ in Jet Lawrence to make his way up in the lead.
25:34And now one challenger remains.
25:36Sexton had been following Lawrence through.
25:38Can he make a quick pass on Cooper?
25:40Cooper takes second and continue to put pressure on Lawrence.
25:44Critical juncture in the race right now.
25:46Yeah, a huge moment if he can get around Justin Cooper because if you're not too far, you see Hunter Lawrence who's regrouped and right behind Chase Sexton.
25:54So not only Chase needs to continue to move forward, see if he can get around Justin Cooper and have a chance at Jet Lawrence.
25:59He's got to do that because Hunter Lawrence at 96 is coming as well.
26:02He's got to do that because he's got to do that because he's got to do that because he's got to do that.
26:08And the fans are cheering this charge from the number one.
26:15He's last year's champion but missed the first half of this summer with injury.
26:20It's his return to racing, and it's been a good one.
26:24Yeah, you know, as you're chasing, this is frustrating because Justin Cooper is starting to ride some of these defensive lines as he should be.
26:30But you can see that gap already opening up from Jet Lawrence.
26:35And so if I'm Chase Sexton, I know I have the pace.
26:37I've been making passes along with Jet.
26:39But this can really stall you out.
26:41And being behind Jet Lawrence, you can be within the second and all of a sudden a couple corners, you know, three, four seconds down.
26:47That's going to be hard for Chase to recover this end of the moto.
26:51Countdown clock, upper left, three minutes and two laps to go in this race.
26:55There's Justin Cooper was making a bid.
26:57Oh, now he makes a mistake.
26:58And Sexton.
27:02Oh, game of chicken to the bottom of the hill, and Sexton wins it.
27:05He's in second.
27:06Yeah, that was a nice move by Chase and a heads up because the reason why he was cutting off, he had that pass made,
27:11but he knew that outside was a lot faster once you got down in the bottom.
27:15So he wanted to cut back across to get to that outside line.
27:18Otherwise, Justin Cooper was just going to go back around him.
27:20So heads up riding by Chase, knowing how this track is going to break down.
27:24Let's see if he got a clean racetrack.
27:25Let's see what he can do this next half to lap to lap and maybe run down Jet Lawrence.
27:29It's four and a half seconds.
27:31The gap between the leader, Lawrence, and Sexton, the last two champions of this series and the last two winners here at Red Bud.
27:39Hunter Lawrence is there with Justin Cooper now for third.
27:46And we combined both motos together, the race earlier today and now Jet Lawrence to clear winner with two moto wins.
27:53But this one, a comeback of epic proportions.
27:56He crashed on the first lap.
27:58He was 18th.
27:59And now he leads.
28:04Chase goes down.
28:07Second place is down and loses two positions, if not more.
28:12He was going for it, James.
28:14Yeah, and I was just saying, Chase looked really comfortable.
28:17I can tell you what's going to happen.
28:19Gets off this tabletop.
28:20He's charging in in his corner.
28:21And because he lost that little bit of time, he's going to hop over to his single.
28:24He's going to lose the front end over to his berm quickly as he goes down.
28:27And that's just all because he's just trying to get up to Jet Lawrence and make that time.
28:31You can blame that on Justin Cooper being stuck behind him.
28:34That little bit of gap that he lost, he's going to have to push it in his corners.
28:37And that's easy to happen.
28:38But still a strong ride by the number one coming back off an injury, I believe, today.
28:42And as Jet, Jets away up front, keeping this incredible run.
28:47Again, he's only lost one race ever on a 450 motorcycle and pro motocross over three seasons now.
28:56If Hunter Lawrence can make the move on Justin Cooper, we're looking at yet another Lawrence Brothers 1 and 2.
29:06I said it before.
29:07I mean, James, outside of maybe the Williams sisters in tennis, can you think of a sibling duo?
29:12With this type of record?
29:15No, you can't.
29:17And it's not like they're just in a field of just weak guys.
29:21I mean, it's impressive the way they're going out here and doing it.
29:24And they're handling their business.
29:26They're going through the field.
29:27The Honda's in a great position right now.
29:30But confidence you're seeing from all these guys.
29:34And, look, if you're the fastest one and two, and y'all just happens to be brothers.
29:37And, oh, by the way, you guys happen to ride together.
29:39Oh, by the way, you guys are on the same team.
29:42Oh, by the way, it might be the best team in the pits.
29:44It's going to be a hard combination to beat.
29:45But you've got to put in the work and the help of Johnny O'Meara, Lars Lindstrom, the whole team.
29:50They're figuring it out.
29:51JT.
29:52Yeah, and I was just watching Jet's kind of body language there.
29:55He looked over.
29:56He looked behind him.
29:57If you were wondering if he knew that Chase was back there, I don't think you have to wonder anymore.
30:01He looked twice in succession wondering where Chase Sexton had gone to.
30:05So, great job by Jet here.
30:08But I'm very impressed by the effort that Chase put in.
30:10He sent a little message to Jet in this moto that he might be somebody to contend with the second half of this championship.
30:15Yeah, JT, that's a heads up.
30:17I agree 100% because I was looking at the same thing as Jet looks back.
30:20He's not looking back to see if Hunter is behind him or Justin Cooper.
30:23I think he feels like he's got them handled.
30:25But I don't know if he knows that Chase went down.
30:28And Chase went down so late in that lap.
30:31I don't know.
30:31His mechanic probably didn't tell him.
30:34So, now he's going to see that plus 11.
30:36Probably relax a little bit.
30:38But, Jason, Chase did go down here.
30:41But he didn't look like he was overriding to me.
30:43And that's a good sign.
30:45Look, he had to push it.
30:47Had to make something happen.
30:48That's easily.
30:49We saw Jet make a mistake.
30:50We saw Hayden make a mistake.
30:52Chase didn't look like he was out of control.
30:53It looked like a whole different rider that we saw at Paula.
30:56Looked like the Chase Sexton that we saw last year in this 450 class.
31:00And I'm with JT on this.
31:02It's a great sign.
31:03And Jet was definitely looking back, thinking that, look, that number one is going to be strong.
31:07If not today, he'll be a player here for the rest of this year.
31:10Next week, they'll be racing in Minnesota, the beautiful Spring Creek Motocross Park.
31:15And Sexton should be even better, as this was his return after being sidelined for a couple of weeks.
31:22So, there could be a challenger in the midst.
31:24But whatever has been thrown at Jet Lawrence the last couple of years, he's been able to overcome it.
31:30And what's wild is that if you talk to this guy after the race, you would have no idea he's this competitive.
31:39He is as loose and freewheeling.
31:41He's a 21-year-old going on 12.
31:43They joke sometimes under the Honda tent.
31:45But when he puts that helmet on, it's all different.
31:47Dude, it's a killer.
31:50He's definitely that.
31:51All these guys are.
31:51I mean, just the competitive nature of racing and trying to be the best.
31:55And at that, you've got to have a little bit of that inside of you.
31:59And both brothers, they have it.
32:01Even I want to give a shout-out to Justin Cooper.
32:03He was able to fend off Hunter Lawrence.
32:05And you start to wonder, Hunter picked up the pace once Chase got around him.
32:09Hunter was making up some good time.
32:10He was following Chase up.
32:12Once Chase went down, I thought Hunter was going to get around Justin Cooper.
32:15But that pace, that intensity went down.
32:17So I think both brothers understand that Chase Sexton could be a problem.
32:21Nonetheless, they're handling their own business.
32:23And they can get this done.
32:24One and three, this moto.
32:26Still a great showing by Honda today.
32:27And that would make them one and two in the overall, combining both races.
32:31White flag flying.
32:32One lap to go for Jet Lawrence to keep his streak alive.
32:36He has not lost it overall this year.
32:40But Justin Cooper, yes, going to match his career best.
32:42And he can hold on for a second.
32:46Inomoto.
32:47And the brothers, Lawrence, for the tenth time these two have gone one to Inomoto.
32:52And the fifth time this season.
32:55And it's just an unbelievable story we've told before.
32:57Coming over from Australia, they went to Europe for a few years
33:00to learn the hardscrabble racing life over there
33:03and prepare for the journey that they've taken together.
33:08They ride together.
33:08They train together.
33:09They travel together.
33:11They make each other better.
33:12And they're one-two in this series right now.
33:15One-two.
33:17100%.
33:17Very impressed, Rod.
33:19Going for the conditions.
33:20What we saw last weekend in the sand.
33:23Whole different atmosphere.
33:24Jet was out front leading.
33:26And then now people who wanted to, questioning him,
33:29whether he could do it at start.
33:30He was able to answer that.
33:32And with this win, he will tie the German Ken Rockson,
33:35two-time champion of the series,
33:36on the all-time premier class wins list.
33:39And that's in a very quick amount of time.
33:41Again, Jet only moved to this class in 2023.
33:44Climbing the ranks.
33:45But that's what happens when you win most weekends.
33:47But Chase Sexton might have something to say about that next weekend in Minnesota.
33:52You can watch all of SMX and Pro Motocross on Peacock each Saturday.
33:56And every weekend they go racing.
34:00He's moving further up the ladder.
34:03But this is the biggest challenge he's had so far this year.
34:05That early crash.
34:0718th to first.
34:08Yeah, I know.
34:09100%.
34:09And I appreciate you not mentioning that he's going to go past me in 20th.
34:13That's my boy right here.
34:14But I'm not saying we moved on from you.
34:17But we're just going to not mention it right now.
34:20You had a great run yourself.
34:21Here is Jet.
34:22The biggest jump on the circuit.
34:24LaRocco's leap.
34:25The fans salute him.
34:27And he put on a show.
34:29A lot of times leads from the front.
34:32Gives him the salute.
34:33Because this time he had to make 18 passes.
34:36Nearly half the field to get to the win.
34:39And they're still trying to solve this riddle.
34:45The 21-year-old Australian Jet Lawrence taking Pro Motocross by storm.
34:52Jet Lawrence sweeps Redbug 2025.
35:00The Honda Redbug National belongs to Honda.
35:03They go 1-2.
35:04Great ride by Justin Cooper in this.
