00:00Rocky Mountain, let's go racing, live from Southwick.
00:06And Jett Lawrence and Plessinger battling for it.
00:11Lawrence on the 18th has the whole shot with his brother right behind him.
00:14Yeah, big old pile up in that first corner, almost called Jorge Prada.
00:17He was up there, barely missed it, but that's my keys to the motor.
00:21These guys did not hear me.
00:22It's Jett Lawrence out front, like you said, followed by his brother.
00:25It's going to be tough for these guys.
00:26But Plessinger right there, knocking on the door as well as Cooper Webb.
00:29And Prado in green, watch him on the outside.
00:32Yeah, Jorge Prada, it was almost two and a half seconds faster than all these guys in that second practice.
00:37So we'll see how he goes, but good to see the Cowboy.
00:40They know they need to make some passes to get up there with that 18.
00:43Once he gets comfortable, it's going to be difficult to get around him.
00:46And Eli Tomac is back in 11th, the multi-time champion who's so good at this track.
00:51He has work to do.
00:53Prado, see him there on the left side, trying to get the number two of Webb.
00:57Yeah, Jorge wanted to get to that line where Cooper Webb was, but sometimes it funnels into one line.
01:02But it's good to see the number seven, Monster Energy Kawasaki, being super aggressive.
01:06He should maybe have the power on the inside of Cooper Webb if he can get to the inside of him.
01:11Plessinger working on Hunter Lawrence for a second.
01:13Not able to make it happen.
01:18No, Aaron's going to try to slingshot around this outside.
01:21He's going to funnel back into one line.
01:23But here at Southwick, you've got to be careful of being so close to the guy.
01:27You're going to run out of vision, and it's hard to do that when you see the number 18 out front.
01:31You want to get going.
01:32But as quickly as we say that, we can see the gap already growing with Jet Lawrence.
01:35And the reason Prado there in that green machine is such a story, this is the multi-time MXGP champion from Europe
01:42who is expected to contend for race wins and podiums this year, and it has not gone that way at all this morning
01:48in qualifying, the first real show of speed in America for him with those fast qualifying times.
01:54Could today be a turnaround?
01:55He needs to get Webb, and he's trying again.
01:57Yeah, he's trying to get it.
01:58And one thing that we haven't seen all year, really, is Jet Lawrence.
02:01Once he's out front, he's been out front a lot, but him being able to pull away from these guys,
02:05he must have been working on that.
02:06So you can see the sense of urgency in all the rest of these guys trying to get around.
02:11Jorge's maybe getting a little frustrated, but good to see him.
02:13And you can see that number three behind him, a couple of positions behind him.
02:16Will?
02:18James, you said it.
02:18Good to see Jorge running up front there with that front pack.
02:21And the team, no doubt, will feel exactly the same way because they have been working very hard.
02:27We had the off weekend, off the high point last weekend,
02:29and they have been at it just testing.
02:32They've been on the sand, trying to find good sand settings for Jorge.
02:36And I asked Oscar Wildman there, the crew chief for him, what's made the difference?
02:41He said, well, one, a little bit of gaps made up with this being sand.
02:44No, it's not European-style sand track, but it is more familiar.
02:48Everything this year for him is new, so a bit of familiarity will take it.
02:53And he said, on top of that, it's just adjustment to the bike.
02:56There's a lot of things he said that the Kawasaki is just different.
02:59They've worked to sort of bring that familiarity back to him.
03:02And Jorge, they said, it's just kind of like he's got this attitude of just adjusting to the bike, too.
03:07So those things coming together, we're just seeing a stronger start to the day, too, for him, James.
03:11Yeah, no, I agree.
03:12And I had a chance.
03:13He was my – Oscar was my mechanic.
03:15So they've got a lot of experience over there at Kawasaki.
03:17So Jorge needs to just continue fighting the game, and he'll continue to get better.
03:21It's hard being the champion that he is.
03:23He wants to win.
03:24And, you know, when you've got to number three, Eli Tomac coming behind you makes things really difficult.
03:29But Eli made a lot of passes early, Jason.
03:31We said he was outside the top ten for him to be up, making moves.
03:34That's a good sign to see number three.
03:36Yeah, James, 11 to 6 now.
03:38He's gotten around Cornelius Pondola at 417, a visitor from Norway.
03:43Just a guest appearance today.
03:45Tomac has gotten around him.
03:46And Tomac, you see him in that yellow gear, looking to make the move on Prado.
03:49Yeah, you can tell his sense of urgency with Eli Tomac, and I believe if he's going to be able to make a pass,
03:56now it starts opening up.
03:57If he can get alongside of Jorge right here, he might have an opportunity because a lot of parts on this racetrack,
04:02you have to funnel back in.
04:03It's going to be difficult to pass the Munster to Kawasaki number seven as he tries to go back.
04:08Eli's teammate, Cooper Webb.
04:09Yeah, he's trying to get around Webb.
04:11He's used this outside line a few times, side by side, not enough.
04:14A battle for fourth.
04:17Yeah, you've got to see these guys funnel back in towards the same line.
04:19Eli's going to switch around.
04:21And I love here at Southwick, when you've got to make it.
04:23When you see the opportunity, you've got to really strike on it because, again, vision, it becomes a problem here.
04:31Prado is still working on the two of Webb with Tomac in hot pursuit, JT.
04:36Yeah, Tomac's trying to make a move here, Jason.
04:39And it's so important that he doesn't get stuck into their pace.
04:42He's fallen into that trap a couple of times this season.
04:45The same thing Prado's dealing with.
04:47He needs to get really urgent and really aggressive because I'll tell you what I think.
04:51I think he's looking around for where is Jett Lawrence.
04:53And you wonder, why is Jett Lawrence being so aggressive early?
04:56He's worried about Eli Tomac as well.
04:58Those two know that if they were out front together, that they might be able to get away.
05:02So Eli Tomac, if he wants any chance at getting to the front of this race, he's got to make a quick pass.
05:07And you see the urgency, JT, with Prado.
05:10Motorcycle was completely sideways.
05:12He was trying to get Webb.
05:13He holds him off, and now Tomac is through as well.
05:16Yeah, that's what you have to do, Eli.
05:18When Jorge strikes, you know, I don't think Cooper realized that Eli was that close, so he made that pass.
05:23But the problem for him, I mean, Jett Lawrence is seven seconds up front right now ahead of his brother.
05:29So Eli would look around and see he ain't looking for the 18 because the 18 is gone.
05:33He's got a lot of work.
05:34And James, you made this point earlier, this is not normally the way Jett Lawrence does it.
05:38Yes, he wins nearly every time he's out there, but doesn't normally build the big early gap.
05:43No, Jett's very patient, and he just kind of allows the racetrack to suit in and settle in for him to go.
05:49But I think what JT said was an excellent point.
05:52He wants to get away from that number three.
05:53There's no sense of battling with him because we know how strong Eli is.
05:57So a lot of these races, I felt like Jett could have put the race away if he would have been like this.
06:01So I believe he worked on that during this off weekend, and it's showing for sure.
06:07And it's 1-2 for the brothers Lawrence.
06:09Also teammates on the Honda HRC Progressive Team out of Australia.
06:15Little adjustment to the motorcycle at the beginning of this championship, but now into round five.
06:19They have certainly solved any of those problems, but listen to the crowd cheering the Cowboy on.
06:24They love Plessinger.
06:25Yeah, they love the Cowboy, but I think what they love is that number three coming up,
06:29and you can see Jorge starting to close back in on Aaron.
06:33You can hear that Yamaha of Eli Tomek wide open going.
06:37He knows what time it is.
06:43This is another battle that everyone wanted to see.
06:45Where would Prado slot in on a good day?
06:47They have not been the type of results expected the first few races.
06:50He's up front now.
06:51Let's see how it shakes down between he and Tomek.
06:56Oh, Jorge almost went off the track right there.
06:58You can see the front end dancing around.
07:00And this track, even though it's a sand racetrack, it has a really hard base,
07:03so you're going to see a lot of movement from the bike with these guys.
07:05And the key is to have the movement, but not to slam into these corners
07:09and get so deep into it and lose all your momentum.
07:11So, so far, it's going pretty good.
07:14You're going to see a lot of back and forth.
07:16Guys starting to get away, and it looks like they're playing that cat-and-mouse game.
07:19But a lot of that happens because the guy wants to stay out of his ruse.
07:22So, you know, there's only certain parts of this racetrack where you have to strike.
07:25So right now, Eli is probably setting up that move.
07:29So you think Tomek actually will strategically drop back enough
07:31to not catch the sand off the back of the bike?
07:34Yeah, 100%.
07:35And, like, there are certain parts where he won't be able to pass him.
07:37So you don't want to eat that ruse.
07:39It not only messes your vision up, it messes your breathing up as well.
07:42So you'll probably see Eli close back in up on the end of this lap.
07:46But JT.
07:47Just watching Jorge Prado there, James.
07:50You know, so much of this season just looks like he's lost some confidence.
07:54This is a guy who's really never lost much in his entire career.
07:58Like, he went on a four-year run of winning championships in Europe.
08:01He comes to America, really hasn't seen the same success.
08:04And part of that has to be believing in himself.
08:08And you see he's pulling back out of gap on Eli Tomek.
08:11The longer he can stay up here, the longer he can see the lead,
08:14the more that confidence is going to come back
08:16and it's going to unlock all of the great things that he's capable of.
08:19Yeah, I completely agree.
08:21And I think with Jorge, as you just said, it's the confidence.
08:23So he might be in fourth place right now.
08:25You would think, like, he wants to win,
08:27but this is a huge step compared to what we've seen the last few weekends.
08:31And just what you saw with Jorge right there,
08:33lifting the front end, jumping around.
08:35That's the guy that we kind of expected to see,
08:37and we haven't seen that these first four motos, but four races.
08:42And they've left Webb behind.
08:43There goes Tondal.
08:44Again, the rider out of Norway.
08:46It's Jason Anderson out of New Mexico.
08:48That's the teammate of Prado on the Kawasaki.
08:52Great, Kulaz coming by.
08:53And Justin Barsho, welcome back to racing.
08:55First motocross race of the year for him.
08:57He's in 10th, coming off a knee injury.
09:00Gent Lawrence doing what he has done quite incredibly.
09:03He has only lost one race on a 450 motocross
09:08and starting it out well again today.
09:10Enjoy the sounds of motocross as we go to break.
09:13If you're watching on Peacock.
09:15All that happens, much like the goat.
09:31Only a couple seconds back off.
09:49Yeah.
09:50He made some adjustments.
09:51And he sticks off the train.
09:53Not enough needs to have time.
09:54You want to stay focused on people like that.
10:07And you're in the program.
10:10podemos go on.
10:11You want to go on top of the train.
10:11We're in the W.
10:11We're evening.
10:13We want to show back for that.
10:14And we're back for that.
13:43Now we're just
14:06and for sure out there to keep it wide open just to do it just hope and float toe back and
14:13Prado might be in that position right now they're catching a lot of sand off the rear tire of
14:18Plessigar a great three rider fight for third the lawrences have checked out jet to the lead
14:24Hunter in second yeah one of the difficult parts for being in there not only just division as it
14:29mentioned but even though the sand going in your mouth this is the same racetrack so these guys
14:34are breathing out of your mouth trying to breathe out of your nose so once you get clogged with sand
14:38it's not just your vision goes then it starts affecting your breathing and then it affects
14:43to how your whole body functions so this guy's got a lot of elements to deal with here today at
14:48Southwick have you reached the limit of how much sand you can intake into the mouth a time or two
14:52in your life I mean I can eat a lot of sand on there but you know eventually it will take a toll
14:56on you can see Eli start to everyone's limits a little different well Tomac's one of the toughest
15:02out there but you see right there had to go for the clear vision and give up the attack on Prado
15:07yeah and I know that's frustrating uh for Eli because I feel like one of the opportunities to
15:13pass is right up here so this is where a lap ago he got really close to Jorge but couldn't make that
15:19pass and see what he does he'll settle back down and try to go at them again halfway through this first
15:25race of the day reminder monster energy available now go grab some but keep watching this action
15:32because Tomac definitely have some spots on the track as he resets and goes back after Prado
15:37hammering through that corner yeah that's what Eli's really known known for really charging into a lot
15:45of these sections and the hard part is he can charge into it and get into a one-liner racetrack and then
15:50you just got to follow him and just eat that sand so he's got to pick his spots JT he does and James
15:56you were talking about this before the race where it's so important for Eli Tomac to get out front and
16:00that doesn't mean he has to get the whole shot but if he could just be with Jet on the first lap
16:04that would help him avoid all of these things because you look back over this championship at
16:09Colorado at High Point he gets stuck behind guys he falls into their pace and he cannot find a way around
16:15him and the guys he really wants me battling with are riding off into the distance and taking points with
16:20different and the team manager of monster energy Yamaha star racing couldn't agree with you more JT
16:26Rich Simmons was talking about exactly that subject with me earlier they said you know they really
16:30want Tomac out there in that top five and one of the things that he added to that he said past top
16:35five back there he starts getting crowded it starts getting a little risky there's a lot of elbows in
16:40there everyone's packed in and sit kind of forward of that top five there's more room more room to be
16:45aggressive more room to chase up front there to your point JT and not let Jet Lawrence get away the
16:51way he has you didn't get that start here maybe you'll try again now he's usually stronger
16:55starts at one or two thanks Bill and Prado is now the rider on the move he's got a line on
17:00Plessinger and he's up to third yeah nice move you can see that one coming you can start to see Aaron
17:06starting to stand up a little bit and and again this Southwick and Aaron's getting in the tough spot
17:10because he's 10 seconds behind Hunter Lawrence so he doesn't have that rabbit to chase and it's easy
17:14when the guy behind you Jorge he's getting confidence by every lap now comes to number three
17:18quickly his arrow is in third now he's in place that just happened instantly now I expect Eli since
17:26he's got him sometimes when you make a pass on a rider you kind of relax a little bit you know if
17:30you're Jorge so maybe Eli can try to shock him but now as soon as I say that the number seven Aaron's
17:35trying to get him now once you're trying to get it back at the bottom that's a battle for ninth
17:39Harry Koulos the rider from Estonia has it but the rider with those orange pants on the blue bike
17:44that is Justin Cooper one of the favorites today but a rare bad start for him Koulos right now his
17:51season best in a moto is 12th he's in ninth Cooper trying to get him as Tomac this is big if he can get
17:58Prado for third because in motocross the overall win for the day is two races combined you're watching
18:04the first one here they'll race again in an hour and if Tomac could maybe get to third you go out
18:10and win the second moto a 3-1 could still get the overall for the day yeah no it'd be important for
18:16Eli but I mean you got to give Jorge a lot of credit because he's riding really good as Eli got another
18:20face full of roost and again that just demoralized you as a rider you just eventually just like man
18:26I can't deal with this so you know yeah it's going to be important for Eli to try to continue to
18:31move forward because right now it's easy to get stuck in that position and the next thing you know
18:35you're out in fourth place and I know for him he wants to be out there with Jet Lawrence but he's
18:40always 22 seconds behind the guy and all that was done that first couple laps
18:44Jet Lawrence in complete control up front Ken Tomac as Jason Thomas mentioned at the top of the show
18:51third all-time and wins at this racetrack any stat you want supercross in the indoor stadiums
18:57motocross here outdoors all-time starts wins podiums you name it he's in the top three nearly every
19:03statistical category all-time that's how strong Tomac is right now though one of the first face-offs
19:09between he and perhaps Europe's best the Spaniard Jorge Prado
19:14and the fans trying to will Tomac toward the podium
19:20yeah Eli is actually going a lot faster than what his lifetime say you can tell like with him
19:25how quickly he can catch Jorge it's just certain parts of the racetrack like I said he backs off and
19:30then tries to avoid that ruse but what Eli's starting to do now he's starting to pivot his
19:35motorcycle and run straight into the corners like right here he he doesn't lean the bike instead
19:40of being on that angle because that's one big sweeper he's starting to straighten the motorcycle up
19:43and doing that point and shoot and it's really easy to catch a guy like that especially at this
19:47racetrack but the problem is if you don't get him to beat him to the corner now you're stuck behind
19:51him again and not able to find daylight yet Tomac and Prado it might be the last battle left for
19:59the podium with the lawrence's just continuing their run up front one two
20:03hunter lawrence in second place right now on that 96 deep in lap traffic
20:12and one of the stories of this racetrack is all the locals who race here consistently they know the
20:19lines around this track so you'll have a lot of unfamiliar names to deal with both on the lead
20:24lap and when passing them in the last doubt hunter able to make it happen there and you can see the
20:29building of his results as the season has gone on will they've just been getting better and better
20:35right Jason and we talked about the top of the show their second overall at high point a couple of
20:40weekends ago their best result of the season and that is testament to all the work that has gone in
20:46to get this Honda machine in the place that it is now and that's not just work from Hunter he's talked
20:51about it multiple times how much the team has worked and I was talking to Johnny O'Meara their trainer
20:57earlier on today and he said that comes right from the very top HRC in Japan it's like what they give
21:02us the things they've made available and that filters right the way through through the teams
21:06mechanics everybody down to the riders and of course himself as a trainer as well he said I've
21:10never seen such work put in to get them to where they need to be and it's starting to show and well
21:17that speaks volumes because Johnny O'Meara who is the coach for them race for that team one of the
21:21greats of the 1980s in Honda's powerhouse days then so he has seen how Honda Racing Corporation works
21:27at every angle and you don't impress him easily Tomac continuing to work on Pronto that's the battle for
21:33third you're watching here again if you're watching on Peacock stay with us during the break
21:38continue to watch and listen to this battle
21:41Tomac looking for a wheel on the number 70
21:49have the inside not enough oh and Pronto tucked into the corner it goes down
21:57yeah you can see that and I think a lot of that was caused by Eli putting that pressure on him and as
22:02I mentioned it's really the inside to these corners really slippery so or he got in there he lost that
22:08front end and then hit that sand and he just went over to Hannah bars toeback pushing it and pushing him
22:14as well yeah because you could see or Eli was closing in on Jorge and he's trying to switch it up Jorge felt that
22:20pressure and just push that front end and went down so bummer for him but still a good rider good ride by him that will
22:26drop him behind blessing her as well watch proud of the lead rider here in this two in this duo yeah
22:31you can see Jorge going then he starts losing the front end and it just hits that sand and it just
22:35swallowed you up and with them bringing that extra sand on this racetrack the berms on the outside are
22:40getting a lot deeper so easy crash to happen but costly one for Jorge caught in the sandbox Jorge Prado
22:46now back to fifth blessing her a towback pass him it's still the Lawrence's second hunter jet out front
23:16so
23:24so
23:29yeah
23:30yeah
23:34yeah
26:53is a known track for Eli Tomac he's always been really successful all-time winnings rider at that
26:58particular supercross but Jet Lawrence shows up at that race more focused more determined to beat
27:03Eli there and I feel like with athletes especially in motocross and when you get a guy like Jet
27:09Lawrence in other sports it's the coach's job to find the weakest point of any athlete you know
27:14they try to exploit that where in motocross you really can't hide it you know Eli's very good at
27:19this racetrack and my whole point is I feel like Jet has came to this racetrack more focused knowing
27:25that this could be a knockout point knockout punch for a guy like Eli Tomac and so as an athlete where
27:31Jet Lawrence is you try to beat that guy at his best on his best surface and unlike the other sports
27:37you're not relying on anybody else to accomplish that except for yourself so it's cool to see Jet
27:41Lawrence go out here and do this and you know so far with two and a half minutes to go man the
27:46kid's got it going JT he certainly does James and I'm wondering this so the setup for you in 2008 was
27:52very similar to this you come back really quickly from an ACL surgery and you go on a streak of
27:57winning what you want every overall every every race that year but Jet's done the same minus two
28:02motos but at some point did you feel like okay now I can start to actually ride by myself now I can
28:07actually be a hundred percent and uncork one because when I watch Jet that's what I'm seeing but I wonder
28:13for you did you feel that way yeah no I I did and I think like the difference between me
28:18and where Jet is right now in 2008 after I showed up and I I'm like I won that first moto I felt like
28:24look I got the speed and I can beat these guys I just got to stay up so my my mentality was a little
28:29bit different I was trying to motivate myself in different ways where I feel like with Jet even
28:34though he's got you know Eli Tomac his brother out here it almost makes it easier for him to stay
28:39focused because he knows every week he has to show up as dominant as this kid is right now with
28:45a 10 second gap Eli Tomac is riding really good he's just caught behind these guys and so for me I
28:51think it's easier for Jet knowing I got to show up here and bring my A game because otherwise I'm
28:55going to get beat and I've been beat twice this year so he's really as an athlete you're watching
29:00probably the best he ever has written in this whole career because of the competition and him knowing
29:05that he's got to step his game up so to answer your question I just realized I know he realized
29:11how good everybody else is and he has to bring it to win he's not having to imagine these threats
29:16they are legitimate threats they are legitimate threats where I feel like with this race there's
29:21a difference between how he attacked this race you know somebody passed where Eli and all these guys
29:27we've been talking about you got to get in front of Jet Lawrence well Jet got a star and Jet put in
29:31opening three laps that I haven't seen him do in the motocross here really like sprint laps or other
29:37things like a you know really trying to get out and he's been able to break those guys and get that
29:43gap and then what happens is now he's riding this whole race on his own terms and what he's really
29:47good at now he's been able to do that you know on his own so really impressive the way he's going
29:53attacking this whole racetrack in this race in particular here today the 21 year old phenom out of
29:57australia who is rapidly moving up the all-time charts statistically and rapidly moving up in
30:04this race is the veteran out of florida here the 24 of rj hepshire he crashed in the first turn of
30:10this race he was essentially last around 40th and he has come all the way up to eighth now
30:15show you the start again yeah this is that right hand at first corner i was talking about it looks
30:21like somebody in the middle they start sliding because these guys can't get on the brakes and
30:29yeah when you got a right-handed first corner and you got guys going left it's not good so
30:34well you mentioned why that uh you said that right hand is right hand first turn is very rare why is
30:39that so tricky why do we not see it more often well it's one of the reasons it's difficult because the
30:44guys can't get on their their brakes you know so they can't hit the rear brakes to slow down so once you
30:49decide to put your foot out you're you got that roll speed so that's when you have a lot of issues
30:54but here at southwick it is an uphill start so you have that momentum as soon as you let off the gas the
30:59bike slows down a lot quicker and with that sand so i think it just catches these guys out they're
31:03running into it the bike slows down and the next thing you know they can't hit the brakes and all the
31:07things um go haywire up here yeah the right foot controls the rear brake but when you stick it out for
31:12a corner you can't use it out caught several riders hampshire has made up a ton of ground he's going
31:18about as fast now as he did in the opening laps of the race track it's rougher there's fatigue it has
31:23not stopped the 24. he's been very good moving up to the bigger 450 bike the 250 class will be up next
31:31we're going to watch on peacock or the smx video pass be a full day of racing even after this moto
31:37concludes now up ahead cooper webb and justin cooper fighting for sixth and that can have big
31:45numbers when it comes to calculating the points this is that battle justin cooper and a lap rider
31:51between he and webb no he has caught webb completely and at the end of this summer they're going to take
31:56the points from monster energy supercross and the pro motocross championship to create seeding for the
32:01smx playoffs and these are the riders one two in the combined rankings right now and justin cooper
32:06is looking to make a move and steal more points from his teammate yeah i'm not sure what happened
32:11to justin cooper and that opening off the start because normally he's a good starter but he was
32:15really far back and he's going three seconds a lot faster than his teammate so the pass was going to
32:20happen at this point and being our must injury fast qualifier you know justin cooper has some speed
32:25to play with so for him he's going to be another moto where he's fastest in practice but the results
32:30don't show it but overall with two minutes a little under two laps to go it's good to see justin cooper with
32:35this much speed and looks pretty fit to me oh and hamshire has joined the party on that white rockstar
32:42husk varda he wants webb as well yeah rj's got some good pace and i had a chance to talk to him in
32:48between practice and he said they made some changes on the bike he feels really comfortable and ever since
32:52he's been on this 450 he feels like this bike suits him a lot better um his riding style so some of the
32:58wild things that we used to say with rj maybe some rj-ish things where he might hit the ground he doesn't
33:03feel like that sketchy on this motorcycle so it's good to see he's definitely got some pace if he
33:08can work this number two but we know the defending supercross champion in cooper webb is not an easy
33:13guy to pass especially when he realizes he's only got a lap left he's going to try to hold that number
33:1824 off it's going to be grit in that battle for seventh and eighth as justin cooper looks to get away
33:23the rider out of long island new york but did not come to southwick that much when he was growing up
33:28there's a weird situation where the new england riders race here all the time and the people
33:33from new york new jersey pennsylvania rarely enter their territory oh and hepshire dumps it on the
33:39last lap rj come on i was just talking about you being a lot smoother so i'm gonna just chalk that up
33:45he was trying to make a pass on cooper on that inside just easy to fall out but still a good ride by him
33:50and i want to keep an eye on this battle right here for fourth place with aaron plessinger jorge product
33:56because we saw jorge go down early in that race well he's catching the number seven of aaron plessinger
34:00for four so um just showed you how much um confidence hori's gotten in this motor and he might be able to
34:07get him meanwhile no one is catching jet lawrence just an incredible start to his career in three years
34:17he has only been beaten one time in motocross on a 450 now missed the title last year went out with injury
34:23rumors that the last year's champion chase senton might return to action next weekend at redbud
34:29he's been out after a big crash at the opening round
34:34and there's that battle of the bottom box between plessinger
34:38he's on the orange ktm and the green machine the kawasaki aprado that is for fourth
34:43yeah jorge knows aaron stuck behind his lap rider so you're gonna try to get him you got to get him now
34:48but yeah what can you say about jet lawrence i mean at this point you you hope when the guy has this
34:52bigger uh bigger lead you you're eli told me like you like man maybe he was riding really hard but you
34:57see him he's recovering right now so for it's almost like he's gonna be just as fresh as he was when he
35:03first went out there because of the lead he's got he's gonna be trouble for these guys
35:07yeah moto too he's definitely saving something for the end
35:10continuing to build the legacy even early in his career he just keeps on winning
35:16shent lawrence takes the first moto at southwick
35:20prado
35:20leaving it all on the racetrack as he tries to get plessinger yeah if he stays close he might have
35:28another opportunity i think if it would be it'd be right here so aaron you got to give him number
35:32seven credit he heard him and he stepped it up but yeah he might have that gap right now jorge's not
35:37close enough for him but still a great route for monster kawasaki especially what happened in these
35:41first four rounds oh yeah still going to tie his season best with a fifth but remember he was running
35:47further up than that for the first time this year in this moto but now only one term remains
35:52the lawrences have gone one two the brothers from australia tomac third fourth to plessinger
36:00and for the first time this year some noise in the corner of jorge prado looking to show everyone
36:06that he could be a contender as he was expected to be all year long
