00:00As the clouds clear over the next 24 hours, so we enter another surge of heat coming in from the south,
00:07extending northwards and westwards as temperatures rocket and we see heatwave conditions yet again across the country.
00:14High pressure builds from the southwest, still weather fronts into Thursday, skirting the far north and west of Scotland,
00:21but eventually we'll see that cloud and that light rain and drizzle clear.
00:25High pressure then dominating every part of the UK into Friday and into Saturday, temperatures reaching into the 30s.
00:34So a hot day on the cards for most parts of the country.
00:38Now through this evening, still some rain across Shetland, patchy rain and drizzle just affecting the western Isles, perhaps even the far northwest highlands.
00:47Elsewhere, some clearer skies, a little bit of mist and murk can't be ruled out.
00:51And down towards the far southwest, there's the chance of some low cloud just lapping along the shoreline.
00:56Now into Thursday morning, again, we could see some dampness in the air across western Scotland with a stronger wind.
01:03But generally speaking, temperatures around the mid-teens, perhaps slightly higher towards the south.
01:08So a mild night, a warm one across southern counties, leading into a fine day for most tomorrow with some sunshine.
01:14More clouds across Northern Ireland through the morning and again, a bit of dampness here with some light rain and drizzle reserved for the far west of Scotland, certainly the Outer Hebrides.
01:24Through the afternoon, it brightens up across Northern Ireland.
01:27Brighter skies elsewhere as the cloud breaks across Scotland as well.
01:31So all in all, a fine day for most away from the far north and northwest where we'll see that cloud continue and some patchy rain and drizzle.
01:38And look at these temperatures, 25 for Northern Ireland, 23 Eastern Scotland, 29 to 30 across England and Wales.
01:45So hot with some high UV and also some high counts of pollen, anything from grass to weed.
01:52Now through Thursday evening and overnight, it's a warm one.
01:55Temperatures probably higher than Wednesday night into Thursday.
01:58Notice that rain clears, although Shetland into the early hours of morning will see some patchy rain.
02:03Still quite a breeze across the western hours, but into Friday, it's a fine day with a light breeze.
02:10Again, a little bit of low cloud can't be ruled out first thing across the east coast.
02:14Generally speaking, it's a day of blue sky as well as some sunshine.
02:19So day on day, temperatures are rising, getting hotter into the weekend.
02:23And here are your top temperatures through Friday, 26 to 27 across central and southern parts of Scotland, 24 to 26 across Northern Ireland,
02:33but into the 30s, anywhere from mid Wales across to central and southern parts of England and Wales.
02:39Here's your outlook then through Saturday.
02:41Probably the peak of the heat will be on Saturday with those very high temperatures,
02:46but still very hot into Sunday and the first part of next week.
