00:00Hello there, welcome to your Tuesday evening weather update from the Met

00:04Office. Fairly quiet for the next 24 hours before things ramp up after that,

00:09more about that in a moment. For the time being, like the last few nights, we're

00:13having a mix of rain slicing the central part of the country, mostly patchy rain

00:18in Drizzle now, low cloud ahead of it, some clearer skies across central and

00:22eastern areas of Scotland, far north of England as well as Northern Ireland.

00:25Still a scattering of showers just moving in across central and western

00:29areas of Scotland, but where you see those clearer skies overnight, watch out

00:33for some fog patches forming. Low cloud, murky conditions across England and

00:38Wales and still that rain in Drizzle continues, particularly across South

00:41Yorkshire, down towards North Midlands, Wales, northern and western areas of

00:45Wales and even further south we could see some filaments of rain and Drizzle.

00:49It's going to be a cold night, particularly in the north where you see

00:52those lighter winds and also some starry skies. Expect some pockets of

00:56frost as we enter the day on Wednesday and further south it's a fairly grim

01:02start with a lot of low clouds and again some rain and Drizzle just coming and

01:06going. Showers from the word go across more northern and western areas of

01:11Scotland, one or two clipping the far northwest of Northern Ireland and a few

01:15running down the Isle of Man, the Irish Sea towards the West Country. Now the fog

01:20will be slow to clear in the north, there are patches of fog, but once they do you

01:23will see some brighter skies coming through, particularly for central and

01:26eastern areas of Scotland. Border regions, North East England, Northern Ireland

01:30seeing broken cloud and through the day we'll see some broken cloud coming in

01:33across Wales and the West Country. At the same time this weather front here is

01:37fairly fragmented, but we could see some ripples of rain just extending across

01:43more southern and eastern areas as we head through the afternoon. Elsewhere

01:46with a light breeze not too bad with some brighter weather coming through

01:50make the most of it, all change on Thursday. So here are your temperatures

01:54as we head through tomorrow around five, six, seven degrees Celsius, more of a breeze

02:00down towards Cornwall elsewhere, a light wind. Now on Wednesday evening and

02:05overnight any rain clears the far southeast, still a few showers lurking

02:09out there, return to frost particularly across central and eastern areas down

02:13towards the south there we could see some pockets of frost and then later on

02:17in the night the cloud will thicken across Northern Ireland and notice this

02:21rain's quite heavy, it's moving in through the early hours of the morning

02:24so a wet and windy start to the day across Northern Ireland and fringes of

02:28Western Scotland as well as Northwest England and then through the day that

02:32rain extends across Wales, central and eastern areas of England through the

02:35afternoon. We could see some snow over the Highlands as well as it pushes

02:39towards the northeast through the latter part of the day. The winds will pick up

02:42with some showers to follow. So this is that weather front straddling the

02:47country and moving its way eastwards and in its wake we see this storm move in.

02:53Now Storm Eoin is a deep area of low pressure, gusts could reach 70 to 80 miles

03:00an hour particularly southern Scotland, Northern Ireland, Northwest England as

03:03well as Wales and the area of strongest winds will extend across Northern

03:07England towards Northern Scotland as we head through the afternoon. Heavy rain as

03:12well, some snow preceding that rain with showers to follow. There are wind

03:16warnings enforced across most of the country and gusts inland where you don't

03:20see those 70 to 80 mile an hour gusts will reach 50 miles an hour so there

03:24will be just some disruption associated with it. More details of the storm check
