00:08in studio talking about movies not only on the big screen but but stuff you can watch at home

00:14on your big screen yes yes and we we lost you last weekend because everybody was still gaga

00:19over Top Gun Maverick. Nothing is going to come near Top Gun it's made 500 plus million already so

00:24yeah Hollywood just like we're not putting our movies out against that film. Tom Cruise making

00:28a little money again off the back end of that one. Oh yeah you can buy a country I'm sure with the

00:33money he's making off that. All right but this weekend. Yeah you know what tell me Mike it's like

00:37box office is back the movies are back you know this is the summer the summer of George this is

00:41the summer of movies you know and we have Jurassic World Dominion the third and final in the trilogy

00:46with these actors and we also have the legacy cast coming back from the original film Sam Neill

00:50Laura Dern and who's the third one oh Jeff Goldblum I forget him. Yeah now I know you guys we were

00:57talking about this before we went on the air today of just how many critics are ravaging this movie

01:01you know and there is a little bit of warranted you know about it is two and a half hours long

01:05there are story problems with it uh the plot is that now in this third edition that we have

01:10dinosaurs living among us okay we have to accept it now you know they hunt aside along us they have

01:15to live among us um so we have new dinosaurs but you know what it's Jurassic World you know I had a

01:20great time with it I really did because there's new dinosaurs there's new thrills uh there's new humor

01:25and I love the mixing of the legacy cast with the original cast with Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas

01:29Howard um you know did it go on too long it did but you know what I just this is an event this is

01:35why I go to the movies right yes is the original cast do they have you know some length in there

01:40absolutely okay good they're not just there's a whole plot point with them yeah with Jeff Goldblum

01:44with everybody so sometimes it doesn't make sense because it's like a different movie with that cast

01:49going on because there's this genetic kind of storyline of these locusts that are you know destroying

01:54crops and stuff it's like really has nothing to do with with dinosaurs and all of that you know

01:57okay but there is just some incredible sequences with new dinosaurs they're just fantastic they have

02:02really marketed this movie yeah oh yeah I would think critics might even look at it like you've sold

02:08out even before the movies come out because they're in every commercial yeah of course though you say

02:13that but so is Top Gun jeez I'm more I get it I get it but I'm just saying the anticipation of this

02:19movie yeah and and not only that it's just like you know critics live for movies like this because

02:24they give those headlines if this is a mass extinction event you know yes yes and they live

02:28to make these headlines it all gets cheesy and stuff like that exactly I was reading something you know

02:32backyard I say go see it because it's incredible I saw it in IMAX it was fantastic you know in terms

02:37of the special effects and excellent legacy of this movie so hey it's what summer is all about grab the

02:42popcorn have a good time with it yes cool all right what else on Netflix a movie called Hustle with Adam

02:47Sandler it's the number one film on Netflix right now I'm not a sports guy but you know this is a

02:51fantastic basketball movie he is a scout for the last 30 years and he's been traveling the world

02:56looking for the next big you know phenom and he found a player that plays street basketball in Spain

03:00and he's kind of like a loser you know so Adam Sandler's character this is his chance to coach or to get

03:05back on top uh so it's it's very much like Rocky that kind of formula but I'm telling you Adam Sandler

03:10is one of our greatest actors Uncut Gems was fantastic listen I'm going to tell you the things I've

03:15liked best with him are not comedies I think he's I can't stand his comedies I think he's really good

03:23as a dramatic actor that's the young Adam Sandler yeah this is just I'm telling you like you got to

03:27watch it it's fantastic it's about Hustle it it's just you're not going to forget it you're going to

03:30cheer from your your couch at home I'm telling you all right all right what else are you a World

03:34War II buff yes I am too there's a movie called Wolfhound and it's based on the true story of where the

03:39the Nazis and the Wolfwafel would capture allied planes that went down fix them up and then use them in

03:44battle so Americans and the allies would be like hey that's our planes when it wasn't and it's also

03:49about a Jewish pilot that was shot down behind lines now what's crazy about this movie is the

03:53director actually used vintage planes in the battles this wasn't CGI so you see these B-17s you see the

03:59Spitfires and you're watching this going how in the world did he do this and where did they get them

04:04from they found them in the aviation museums in California yeah we need all this can we have all

04:09awesome listen maybe this will spark a rash of pilots again that we were just talking about that

04:16earlier this morning shortage of them maybe all of these movies will spark that love but how do you

04:21go into a museum and say listen I only need them for this long I'll bring them back they'll be fine

04:27of course they're just sitting there so you know if you don't drive a car mine it's not good

04:32private collectors too have them but you've seen this movie and the action is very much like the dirty

04:37dozen in that 80s kind of predator kind of thing so it's got it's a lot of fun it's called Wolfhound

04:41that's a code name that the Nazis used for for the Luftwaffe for this program you got to see the movie

04:46it's fantastic and finally if you're a sci-fi fan the new season of Orville is streaming on on Hulu

04:51and Seth MacFarlane we know him for you know Family Guy and American Dad but he is a sci-fi writer

04:56this is a dedicated an homage to Star Trek I've been waiting years for this third season to come out

05:02it is fantastic if you haven't seen the Orville do yourself a favor if you're a sci-fi fan
