00:02Just a few things Mike and Carla think you should know.
00:04Here we go.
00:05Here we go.
00:05On 96.3 KKLZ.
00:08Well, this was interesting.
00:09If you're worried about, you know, break-ins, you want to stay safe at your house, this could help you.
00:13A former burglar says the best way to prevent break-ins is also one of the cheapest.
00:20And that is the sign that says beware of dog.
00:23He said if you have a dog, great.
00:24But he said it works even if you don't.
00:26Because most burglars, they're not going to question it.
00:29They're going to move on.
00:30They'd rather just go to another house, not even try.
00:33So beware of dog.
00:35I got all sorts of sons on my house.
00:37I don't know why anybody would try to.
00:38I don't anymore.
00:39It's like, oh, no, she has that and she has that and there's that.
00:42What?
00:44Plus the barbed wire.
00:45Yeah, that's right.
00:46The outfrench of your home.
00:48It's electric.
00:49Don't touch that.
00:50Yeah, right?
00:51People blaming grocery stores.
00:53Everything's so high.
00:54They're charging so much.
00:56The reality is they can't help it either.
01:00People think their markup is really high.
01:02It's not.
01:03The average markup for a supermarket for a grocery store, one to three percent.
01:09They don't go very high at all.
01:12They're saying some things you can do to save money, which I hope people already know.
01:15Buy in bulk.
01:16Make a list and stick to it.
01:19Don't know more of those impulse items when you go, oh, you know what?
01:23These look good and substitute ingredients that are maybe a little cheaper, maybe some
01:28other vegetables, maybe some other meats, maybe some other things that might work just
01:33as well for whatever it is that you're doing.
01:35Don't they say eat before you go grocery shopping?
01:38Don't shop hungry.
01:39Oh, it's horrible to shop hungry.
01:41Everything looks good.
01:42Everything does.
01:43Have a big breakfast before you go shopping.
01:45Yes, that's exactly it.
01:46And in a new poll, this is pretty funny.
01:48Eighty three percent of people claim they'd keep it a secret if they won the lottery.
01:52Now, 50 percent say, think about this one, they'd need to win four million dollars, about
01:59four million dollars to quit their job.
02:01That's half the people.
02:03Sixteen percent said they, boy, they took a jump, need about 50 million to quit their job.
02:08Yeah.
02:09Yeah.
02:10Fifty million.
02:10Now, about 10 percent said, you know what?
02:12If I want a half million, five hundred thousand, I'm out.
02:15Gone.
02:16Quitting my job.
02:16Yeah.
02:17Now, most people said they'd give away some of their winnings to family, significant others.
02:21Yeah.
02:22People in need, charities, things like that.
02:24Some would give to friends.
02:26Only a handful said they'd give to co-workers.
02:29But, you know, what are you going to do?
02:31I don't think I would quit.
02:33I mean, if I won like five hundred thousand to a million.
02:35That, no.
02:36I don't think I would quit, but I'd have a different attitude.
02:38Right.
02:38If I won several million, I might.
02:40And then just do, I might buy a radio station or a comedy club.
02:44I don't care.
02:45Yes.
02:45Yeah.
02:46So I can.
02:46Crazy Carla's Comedy Club.
02:47That's right.
02:48So I can run it into the club.
02:50So shut up.
02:51Listen, at this point, I'm about ready to let someone poop in my bed for ten million.
02:55So how much?
02:57Ten million?
02:58Yeah.
02:58That's.
02:58Go ahead.
02:59Have at it.
02:59Poop away.
03:00There.
03:00Clean sheets.
03:01You go ahead.
03:03Oh, it is Wednesday.
