00:00a cruise ship heading to miami had to change course at the last minute after a judge issued

00:08an arrest warrant for the ship due to unpaid bills if the crystal symphony had continued course to

00:17miami it would have been seized by authorities so when it found out it headed to the bahamas

00:24instead it's on the run i'm on a cruise that's on the run right that's the craziest thing why can't

00:31they get it the ship is still docked in the bahamas today this all began the other day when a gas

00:40company filed a lawsuit in south florida against crystal cruises alleging that it owed them unpaid

00:47fuel bills totaling over 4.6 million that's a lot so a judge issued an arrest warrant ahead of the

00:56ship's scheduled saturday arrival in miami meaning the ship would be seized by a u.s marshal

01:01as soon as it got into port 300 passengers had to be transferred by ferry from the bahamas to port

01:09everglades in fort lauderdale is this like the spirit airlines of the spirit of the what is it

01:16called crystal crystal i haven't even heard of it no yeah i've never heard of it either but i mean

01:194.6 million dollars in unpaid fuel yeah like carnival or something like they pay their bills

01:26i thought carnival was the spirit of the seas but i've never even heard or well caribbean

01:30we're not gonna be able to make it home we're trapped in international waters turns out these

01:35guys stole a bunch of fuel i'm on some kind of criminal boat i told you and farm not to go on

01:41that cruise listen i got no choices here they got the marshals after us this thing is uh

01:46i mean it's getting it's getting wild here that captain does not want to stop the ship so

01:51uh we're just gonna live here in the bahamas

01:54make sure the mail and everything's taken in i don't want somebody just send us a forwarding

01:59address i guess i don't know if i can do that i told you i'm trapped in international waters i don't

02:04know if you understand the situation here cruise ships uh ran by a bunch of yahoos

02:09yeah so uh i don't know what uh what we're gonna be able to like i said i've already you got a steel

02:15drum and everything i'm trying to make some money down here on on the beach

02:20so you can hear barb going off she's uh is she playing it too she's getting better at it yeah but

02:27we gotta make some money hopefully yeah on one of those nicer cruises don't take crystal symphonies

02:32or whatever uh that's a bad was it real cheap or something yeah we got a great deal on it but then

02:38uh well you know we knew once they just stopped stopping at places and we were just kind of at sea

02:43there for a while then you know things are going to be bad but luckily we're at least living here

02:48in the bahamas so uh your band sounds pretty good from what i can hear of it in the background yeah

03:01she got to practice before because we got to get some kind of money to get out of here but i hear

03:06there's a ferry boat you can hop on maybe if you get enough cash to pay for it all right the marshals

04:20in the bahamas they won't let you off the boat right like you're like looking like the bahamas is

04:25over there yeah you're just stuck on the boat like it's warm out they can keep the people on the ship

04:31though they've got a no no a lot of them got off and took a ferry they said the ferry ride was horrible

04:36it was in bad weather oh no way they took a ferry ride from the bahamas to port everglades in fort

04:42lauderdale like a ferry boat ocean ferry no fly out of there they put uh the end to this cruise was

04:51not the conclusion we originally planned for we do apologize very love to see that oh my god the ocean

04:59ferry it can't be good i bet people were puking everywhere that's awful so guests who have booked

05:05future trips will receive a full refund they say they're going to examine various options moving

05:10forward but they're pausing cruising until they figure it out yeah not a good idea bad if you were

05:19on that cruise really really bad
