00:00We're going to start in North Fort Myers, Florida, where a school principal found pot in a kid's backpack.

00:132.1 grams of marijuana because someone noticed a smell. Here's the story from ABC7.

00:19They say the student's backpack on Monday reeked of marijuana.

00:23The teacher who caught a whiff of it alerted the principal, who alerted the school resource officer, who searched the bag.

00:29The officer found a pink baggie holding two grams of a leafy substance, and LCSO says it tested positive for marijuana.

00:37This is really disturbing. This is truly disturbing to me. And this is just down straight from my home.

00:44And she's not the only one who thinks that way.

00:49Got a lot of other things to worry about.

00:51Now, deputies say the student, whose name is blacked out in the report, has never been arrested before.

00:56That means they qualified for just a civil citation, something for people underage that's an alternative to an arrest.
