Lobia Keema is a hearty and flavorful South Asian dish made with minced meat (keema) and black-eyed peas (lobia), cooked together in a rich, aromatic blend of spices. -Cooking Oil 1/2 cup -Onion (sliced) 1 cup ( Pyaz ) -Mutton / Beef mince 500 grams ( Keema) -Green chilies 1 tbsp ( Hari Mirch ) -Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp ( Adrak , Lehsun ) -Tomato paste 1 cup ( Tamatar) -Cumin powder 1/2 tbsp ( Zeera ) -Coriander powder 1/2 tbsp ( Dhania powder ) -Red chili powder 1 tsp or to taste ( Lal Mirch Powder ) -Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp ( Haldi Powder ) -Salt 1 tsp or to taste ( Namak ) -Yogurt 1 cup ( Dahi ) -Boiled white beans -Butter 1 tbsp ( Makhan ) -Water 1 cup or as required ( pani ) -Green coriander (chopped) as required (Hara dhania ) -Garam Masala 1 tsp -Green Chilies 2 -3 ( Hari Mirch ) -Ginger julienne cut ( Adrak )
Directions for Boiled Beans:
-Soak white beans for 2 hours. -In a pot add water and white beans. Boil until 90% done. Strain and set aside.
Directions for Lobia Keema Preparation:
-In a pot, heat oil and add onion. Cook until translucent. -Add keema and cook until it changes color. Add green chili, ginger garlic paste and cook for 2 -3mins. -Add tomato paste , cook for 2 -3 mins. -Add coriander powder, cumin powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt and cook for 4 -6 mins. -Add boiled lobia mix well & cook for 2 -3 mins. -Add Yogurt and cook until oil separates thenadd butter and cook well . --Now add water and cover and cook until keema is fully done. -Now add garam masala , green chili , ginger julienne cut , green coriander mix well , cover and cook for 2 -3 mins on low flame. -Your Lobia Keema is ready. Dish it out and garnish it with green coriander.
