What's next? I mean, obviously, bowl season's coming up.
00:04
That's a big deal for you.
00:06
So exciting. Yes.
00:07
So we've expanded our SEC partnership,
00:10
expanded rights amongst that big conference,
00:13
which is so important to college football fans.
00:15
And now the college football playoff has expanded to 12 teams.
00:18
Yeah, super exciting.
00:20
We've been talking to the marketers that have been in it with us from day one.
00:23
And a lot of them are they're all super excited about what's to come.
00:27
And the college football playoff,
00:29
the championship game is coming up in mid-January.
00:32
So lots to talk about and think about.
00:36
The other key thing that we're incorporating into a lot of our longer term deals,
00:40
because those are longer term deals, are our first party, as we were talking about.
00:44
So we have about 60 million registered users on ESPN
00:48
that have told us who their favorite teams are, who their favorite athletes are.
00:53
What are they fans of?
00:54
And the conversation and messaging can continue beyond the game.
00:58
So how do they maintain that relationship with that consumer after the game is over?
01:03
They can reach them all year long because we know
01:06
their behaviors in a privacy focused way, of course.
01:09
And they can continue that fan relationship throughout the year.
01:12
So lots of exciting things to come with college football and all of our sports.
01:17
You know, and another really interesting thing in sports is the rise of women's sports.
01:21
Yes.
01:22
You know, college basketball, WNBA.
01:25
Yes.
01:26
Soccer.
01:27
I mean, is there a limit to the amount of sports people will watch?
01:34
Is there a ceiling?
01:35
Hopefully not.
01:36
No, definitely not.
01:37
It just seems like the number of hours spent viewing sports continues to go up.
01:42
It does.
01:43
What's it taking share from?
01:44
Sports is a huge, huge passion point.
01:47
I think people are spending more time with media.
01:50
If you look at the amount of time that people are spending across all of our platforms,
01:54
and ESPN is a platform, it's definitely increasing,
01:58
but it's not taking away from entertainment.
02:00
It's additive.
02:01
So we're seeing incremental audiences.
02:03
When you think about the social scale that ESPN has,
02:07
38 consecutive months of being the number one sports offering in social.
02:11
I think it's taking away from sleep.
02:13
I mean, it might be taking away from sleep, but like on the entertainment side,
02:17
like Danielle was saying,
02:18
it's really not taking away from our eyeballs either and our consumption.
02:21
Like when you think about specials,
02:24
we had a really good year with some of our major specials from the CMAs
02:28
to the New Year's Rockin' Eve to Oscars to Emmys,
02:31
all double digits up in terms of the consumers,
02:34
as well as on the commercial side of the business.
02:37
And we have those upcoming again,
02:40
which we're really, really excited about.
02:43
And then on our streaming platforms, right?
02:45
So like Disney, we now have Hulu on Disney Plus.
02:48
So there's overall, you're seeing that consumption
02:51
across our general entertainment on Disney Plus.
02:54
ESPN is coming to Disney Plus.
02:57
Disney Plus is going to be that immersive experience
02:59
where consumers are going to spend even more time.
03:03
They're going to sleep less.
03:05
They're going to sleep less.
03:05
And we haven't even started talking about that.
03:07
ESPN flagship, sorry.
03:08
It's a flagship coming next year.
03:10
Yeah, I was going to say.
03:10
Which is going to be a really amazing immersive experience for consumers.
03:16
It's going to be the place to get everything that you need in sports.
03:20
I think ESPN already does an amazing job of that, of course,
03:22
but it's going to be even more in hand.
03:24
And that's another arrow in your quiver to sell to a brand partner.
03:28
Absolutely.
