00:00
Good morning to all of you and live from the Assawina Forecasting Center.
00:05
This is the time now, September 9, 2024.
00:10
A new week has started for all of us.
00:14
And we can see that the Southwest Monsoon is still affecting a large part of Luzon
00:19
that will bring rains, especially in the Ilocos Region, Cordillera,
00:24
as well as in the Cagayan Valley Region.
00:27
Meanwhile, we will continue to monitor the low-pressure area
00:31
that we last saw, more than 1,000 kilometers,
00:33
East-North-East Extreme Northern Luzon.
00:36
Based on our latest data,
00:38
we do not rule out the possibility that this will become a storm.
00:41
While it is moving, it will cause flooding.
00:43
And for now, the chance that it will hit our country's land is quite low.
00:47
But we will continue to monitor this low-pressure area
00:51
that is inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:55
In 10 parts of our country, here in 10 parts of Luzon,
00:58
including Manila, we are expecting a cloudy weather.
01:01
While in Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan,
01:06
we are expecting generally fair weather in this area of our country.
01:10
But it is still possible for isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
01:14
Again, I repeat, here in a part of Northern Luzon,
01:17
there is a high chance of rainfalls of the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat.
01:22
Meanwhile, as you can see, we still have a low-pressure area
01:25
that is outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:27
It is almost 3,000 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas.
01:31
And as we can see, it is possible that this will become a storm
01:34
even though we do not rule out the possibility that it will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility.
01:38
Again, based on our latest data,
01:41
it will move to the north of Canluran.
01:43
And it is possible that Habagat will be strong at the end of this week,
01:47
on Wednesday or Friday.
01:49
It is possible that it will rain in the area of Visayas and Mindanao.
01:53
Again, we will provide an update on the weather systems that we are monitoring here in our country.
02:00
Again, here in a part of Luzon, we are expecting a high chance of rainfalls.
02:05
From the middle to the beginning, there will be heavy rainfall in the area,
02:09
especially in the Ilocos Region,
02:11
particularly in the provinces of Ilocos Norte and Ilocos Sur.
02:15
Also, in the area of Abra, Apaya, and a part of Cordillera and Cagayan Valley.
02:20
Beware of the possibility of sudden floods and landslides.
02:25
Here in a part of Luzon, it is still possible for isolated or heavy rainfall.
02:31
Generally, in the area of Metro Manila, Calabarzon, and Mimaropa,
02:35
we expect that the weather will be cloudy
02:38
while there is a chance of rain in the afternoon and evening.
02:41
We are expecting that in the next few days,
02:44
there will be less rainfall in the area of Northern Luzon,
02:48
especially in the Ilocos Region.
02:50
The temperature outside is 23 to 30 degrees Celsius.
02:54
Inside, it is 24 to 31 degrees Celsius.
02:56
In Baguio, it is 17 to 22 degrees Celsius.
02:59
Metro Manila, 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:02
In Tagaytay, it is 22 to 30 degrees Celsius.
03:05
In Ligaspe and Bicol, it is 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:09
Let's go to Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
03:12
We can see that in Palawan, generally fair weather,
03:14
but it is still possible for rain,
03:16
isolated rain showers, and thunderstorms.
03:18
The temperature is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:21
In Puerto Princesa, it is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:25
In a large part of Visayas,
03:28
we expect isolated or heavy rainfall
03:31
when there are localized thunderstorms.
03:33
The temperature is 24 to 32 degrees Celsius in Iloilo.
03:38
In Cebu, it is 26 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:41
In Tacloban, it is 26 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:44
A large part of Mindanao will experience heavy rainfall
03:48
from dusk to dusk.
03:50
It is possible that it will be light
03:53
and sometimes heavy rainfall
03:56
due to localized thunderstorms,
03:58
but it does not last long.
04:00
The temperature in Zamboanga is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
04:05
In Davao, it is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
04:08
In Cagayan de Oro, it is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
04:12
As for the sea level,
04:14
we do not have any high gale warnings
04:16
in any part of our country
04:18
due to the expansion of sea vehicles
04:20
and small boats in our neighboring islands.
04:23
But be careful, especially when there are thunderstorms
04:26
that can increase the waves of our sea.
04:30
Our time today is 5.45 a.m.
04:34
and it is 6.02 p.m.
