00:00Good morning from the Pag-asa Weather Forecasting Center.

00:04This is our update for the next 24 hours.

00:09We can see here in our latest satellite images,

00:12the clouds in the central portions of our country

00:16are the continuous radiation of the Intertropical Convergence Zone

00:20or the accumulation of wind from the Northern and Southern Hemisphere.

00:26For the next 24 hours, we expect the continuous effect of the ITCZ

00:31in a large part of Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

00:36For the mentioned areas, we expect the clouds to continue

00:41and the chances of rain throughout the day are high.

00:44We also expect that this Easter lease,

00:46or the wind coming from the Pacific Ocean,

00:48will cause clouds and rain in the eastern section of Southern Luzon.

00:55For the rest of the country, in the rest of Mindanao and the rest of Luzon,

00:59it is clearer than we expected.

01:02It is hot and foggy throughout the day,

01:05but there is still a high chance of thunderstorm activity

01:08in the late afternoon to evening.

01:11We expect that starting tomorrow, Sunday,

01:14the areas that will experience rain will gradually decrease

01:18brought by the ITCZ.

01:20So, generally improving weather conditions

01:22is what we expect in a large part of Southern Luzon and Visayas.

01:27Fair weather conditions will continue until early next week.

01:32At the moment, we are not monitoring any low-pressure areas

01:36or areas outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility

01:40that may affect our country for the next 3-5 days.

01:45We expect that for the next 3-5 days,

01:47generally fair weather throughout the country,

01:50but there is still a high chance of thunderstorm activity in the late afternoon to evening.

01:56As for the weather conditions here in Luzon,

02:01due to the combined effect of the ITCZ and the easterly,

02:06which is the wind coming from the Pacific Ocean,

02:08we will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain,

02:14here in the whole of Mimaropa and in the areas of Quezon and Bicol Region.

02:20It's still early in the morning,

02:21but we have already reported thunderstorm activity in a large part of Bicol.

02:26We expect that later in the day,

02:28a large part of Bicol Region, Quezon, and Mimaropa

02:32will experience cloudy skies and a high chance of scattered rain.

02:38In the vast majority of Luzon, including Metro Manila,

02:41we will experience generally fair weather conditions today,

02:44and we have also reported early morning thunderstorms in a large part of Central Luzon and Calabarzon.

02:52These rains are just temporary,

02:54so from this morning until the afternoon,

02:57we will experience hot and humid weather,

03:01but by the afternoon and evening,

03:03we will still be prepared for the chance of heavy rain,

03:06with scattered rain and thunderstorms.

03:10Maximum Temperature Forecast,

03:11it's possible to reach 33°C outside today,

03:1535°C here in Toygagaraw,

03:18and 25°C in Baguio City.

03:21Maximum Temperature Forecast,

03:23it's possible to reach 33°C here in Metro Manila,

03:2732°C here in Legazpi,

03:30and 31°C in Tagaytay.

03:33In the areas of Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,

03:37because of the ITCZ,

03:39we will experience heavy rain and thunderstorms here in Palawan, Visayas,

03:46and the western section of Mindanao,

03:49particularly in the Zamboanga Peninsula.

03:53We have also reported early morning thunderstorms this afternoon,

03:58in the areas of Palawan, Central and Eastern Visayas.

04:02Palawan and Visayas also have a lot of areas

04:05that will experience heavy rain and thunderstorms for the rest of the day,

04:08so we will continue to be prepared and alert

04:11for the chances of flooding and landslides,

04:14especially if the rain continues.

04:17In the southern part of Mindanao,

04:19the central and eastern sections of Mindanao,

04:23as well as the areas of Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi,

04:27we will experience generally fire weather conditions today,

04:31from cloudy to cloudy,

04:33and we will be prepared for the chances of thunderstorms late afternoon to evening.

04:40The maximum temperature forecast for Kalayaan Islands and Puerto Princesa today

04:45is possible to reach 32 degrees Celsius.

04:48It is also 32 degrees here in Iloilo and Tacloban,

04:51and 31 degrees Celsius in Cebu.

04:55The maximum temperature forecast for Cagayan de Oro today

04:59is possible to reach 32 degrees Celsius.

05:02It is 33 degrees here in Davao,

05:05and 33 degrees Celsius in Zamboanga.

05:09And in terms of our ocean,

05:11there are still no high-level warning gales

05:14for any of our islands,

05:16and we are expecting light to moderate waves

05:19in a large part of our country.

05:21Even so, to our fellow fishermen,

05:23we still need to be careful

05:25because if we have offshore thunderstorm activity,

05:28or if there is rain in our coastal areas,

05:30we are expecting strong winds

05:34and this will affect the elevation of our islands.

05:39And the sunny days here in Manila

05:41will be popular later at 5.32 in the morning,

05:44and it will be down later at 6.30 in the afternoon.
