Good morning to all of you from Pag-asa Weather Forecasting Center.
00:04
The time is now Wednesday, June 26, 2024.
00:10
In our latest satellite images, we can see that there are still two weather systems that are affecting our country.
00:16
Now, the Easterlies.
00:17
This is the wind coming from the Pacific Ocean.
00:19
This is affecting Luzon and Cabizayaan.
00:22
While the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ,
00:25
this is the wind coming from different hemispheres, from the northern and southern hemispheres.
00:31
This is like a line of clouds,
00:33
which brings a cloudy sky with a high chance of rain,
00:37
particularly in the part of Mindanao.
00:39
While here in the area of Eastern Visayas, as well as in Quezon Province, Bicol Region, and the province of Aurora,
00:46
the sky will also be cloudy at the end of the Easterlies.
00:49
Meanwhile, in other parts of our region,
00:53
we are still expecting isolated or heavy rains,
00:57
especially in the afternoon and evening.
01:01
We expect that the effects of the Easterlies will continue.
01:04
The ITCZ is also possible.
01:05
In particular, as you can see here in the eastern section of our country,
01:09
the sky is still cloudy and there is a high chance of rain.
01:12
As for the typhoons,
01:14
as of now, we are still not monitoring the low-pressure area.
01:16
There is still a small chance of a typhoon.
01:18
At least in the next three days.
01:20
As for the typhoons or southwest monsoon,
01:22
it is still a bit weak for now.
01:24
But we are still hoping that in the coming weeks,
01:27
it will still increase and bring rain,
01:29
especially in the western section of our country.
01:33
Let's see what the weather will be like here in Luzon.
01:35
We can see that in the part of Luzon,
01:38
there is a high chance of rain in the Bicol Region,
01:41
as well as in Aurora and Quezon.
01:43
This is the end of the Easterlies.
01:45
This is the wind from the Pacific Ocean.
01:47
In the northern part of our country,
01:49
due to the localised thunderstorms,
01:51
possibly due to the isolated rain showers and thunderstorms,
01:54
it is still possible that it will be a bit hot in the afternoon until the evening.
01:56
Especially in the afternoon, it is still a bit hot,
01:59
while there is a high chance of rain in the afternoon until the evening.
02:02
Especially here in the northern part of Luzon,
02:05
the weather is still a bit hot.
02:08
In Lauag, it is 26 to 30 degrees Celsius.
02:10
In Tuguegarao, it is still a bit hot, up to 35 degrees Celsius.
02:13
In Baguio, it is 18 to 25 degrees Celsius.
02:16
In Metro Manila, it is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
02:19
In Tagaytay, it is 23 to 31 degrees Celsius,
02:22
while in Legazpi, it is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:26
Let's go to Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao.
02:29
In Palawan, we are also expecting isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
02:34
The temperature in Kalayaan Islands is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
02:38
In Puerto Princesa, it is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
02:41
In the part of Kabisayaan,
02:43
we are expecting cloudy skies in the eastern part of Visayas.
02:47
While in the western part of Visayas,
02:50
central Visayas, northern island region,
02:53
and also here in Siquijor,
02:55
we are expecting isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.
02:59
So there is a higher chance of rain in the eastern part of Visayas.
03:02
The temperature in Iloilo is 26 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:06
In Cebu, it is 26 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:09
While in Tacloban, it is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:14
In Mindanao, where the Intertropical Convergence Zone is in effect,
03:19
there is a high chance of rain in the Caraga and Davao region.
03:22
While in the eastern part of Mindanao,
03:24
we are expecting isolated rain showers and thunderstorms,
03:28
followed by localized thunderstorms.
03:30
The temperature in Zamboanga is 25 to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:35
In Cagayan de Oro, it is 25 to 31 degrees Celsius.
03:38
While in Davao, it is 25 to 32 degrees Celsius.
03:43
As of now, we do not have a high-level gale warning.
03:46
So to our fellow countrymen who will travel to the seas,
03:49
it is safe to sail small boats and sea vehicles
03:52
to our fellow countrymen.
03:54
However, if there are thunderstorms,
03:56
it is still necessary to be careful
03:59
because it can suddenly intensify the waves of the sea.
04:03
Our day will be popular at 5.29 a.m.
04:06
and it will be calm at 6.29 p.m.
04:10
And because we are still expecting thunderstorms,
04:13
localized thunderstorms,
04:15
we will still follow our social media platforms
04:18
on Facebook, YouTube, and our website pagasa.toc.gov.ph
04:23
This is where we publish our latest advisories.
04:26
Also, if we have heavy rainfall warnings
04:28
and rainfall information.
04:31
And live updates from Pagasa Weather Forecasting Center.
04:35
I am Obet Badrina.
04:37
Let us always prepare for a safe Philippines.
04:40
