00:00
Good morning from the Pag-asa Weather Forecasting Center.
00:03
This is our update on what will happen in the next 24 hours.
00:09
We will continue to monitor the low-pressure area inside our Philippine Area of Responsibility.
00:15
And earlier this morning, at 3 a.m., it was last seen at a distance of 375 kilometers north-northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.
00:23
There is still a small chance that the so-called low-pressure area will become a typhoon in the next few days.
00:29
And we do not expect that it will have a direct effect on another part of our country.
00:35
Meanwhile, the Southwest Monsoon, or Hanging Habagat, continues to be weak and does not affect a large part of our country.
00:43
This area of extreme northern Luzon is the only area that is affected by it.
00:47
We expect that we will experience hot and humid weather again in Metro Manila and a large part of the Philippines.
00:56
Even so, there is still a chance that there will be heavy rains, floods, and thunderstorms from dusk to dusk.
01:05
For the next three to five days, this Habagat will continue to be weak.
01:09
So this area of extreme northern Luzon will be affected.
01:13
So it will not affect a large part of our country.
01:16
We expect generally fair weather conditions for the next three to five days.
01:20
We expect hot and humid weather.
01:22
And we expect heavy rains and thunderstorms from dusk to dusk.
01:29
And in the next few days, it is possible that the LPA of our Philippine Area of Responsibility will be issued.
01:36
And it will not have a direct effect on any part of our country.
01:41
So there is still a chance that there will be a storm in our PAR in the next few days.
01:46
And for the location of our weather today in the area of Luzon,
01:52
the whole of Luzon next to Metro Manila will continue to be hot and humid weather.
01:57
The chances of thunderstorm activity that we expect here in the areas of Batanes and Baboyan Islands are higher
02:03
because these are the areas that are affected by the southwest monsoon or Habagat.
02:08
In all ten parts of Luzon, the weather that we expect is the same.
02:12
Parts that are cloudy to cloudy,
02:15
accompanied by heavy rains with thunderstorms from dusk to dusk.
02:20
Usually, it will last from afternoon to night.
02:24
Since we expect hot and humid weather,
02:27
we should still take the necessary precautions in case of hot weather.
02:35
We should drink plenty of water, stay hydrated,
02:39
and avoid outdoor activities if not necessary.
02:44
We should wear light-colored clothes and stay in well-ventilated areas
02:49
to avoid the risk of heat stroke to our body.
02:54
The maximum temperature forecast for today is possible to reach 32 degrees Celsius.
03:00
34 degrees in Baguio City and 34 degrees Celsius in Tagaytay.
03:05
The maximum temperature forecast for Metro Manila today is possible to reach 34 degrees Celsius.
03:11
32 degrees in Tagaytay and 33 degrees Celsius in Legazpi City.
03:18
In areas of Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao,
03:21
generally fair weather conditions will continue throughout most of the mentioned areas.
03:27
However, there are still chances of light and sudden rains
03:32
accompanied by thunderstorms from dusk to dusk.
03:35
As early as this afternoon, thunderstorm clouds are likely to form.
03:40
Rainfall will fall due to these storms,
03:43
which will reach late afternoon to evening.
03:45
It is still best to bring an umbrella.
03:48
Remove it in the heat of the day or in the morning.
03:50
And remove it in the rain when it reaches late afternoon to evening.
03:54
The maximum temperature forecast for Kalayaan Islands today is possible to reach 33 degrees Celsius.
04:00
32 degrees in Puerto Princesa and 33 degrees Celsius in Iloilo and Cebu.
04:08
The maximum temperature forecast for areas of Tacloban and Cagayan de Oro today is possible to reach 32 degrees Celsius.
04:16
34 degrees in Davao and 33 degrees Celsius in Zamboanga.
04:23
As for the condition of our ocean, there is still no gale warning
04:26
for the waves that will rise in our waters.
04:28
And it is expected that the waves will be moderate to moderate
04:31
in most parts of our country.
04:33
However, our fellow fishermen should still be careful
04:38
because if we have offshore thunderstorm activity,
04:40
these are the rains that are close to our sea.
04:43
It is expected that there will be strong winds
04:46
due to which the waves will rise.
04:51
And the sunny day here in Manila will rise around 5.43 in the morning
04:56
and will settle later around 6.18 in the afternoon.
05:00
And for up-to-date information about the weather,
05:03
especially on rainfall or thunderstorm advisories
05:06
that may be issued by our Pag-asa Regional Centers in our localities,
