Happy Thursday to all of us. I am Benison Estareja.
00:04
The effects of the two weather systems in our country are still continuing.
00:08
The first is the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCC in the southern part of Mindanao plus the Palawan province.
00:15
This is the line where the wind comes from the northern and southern hemispheres
00:20
and it is expected that there will be heavy rains and thunderstorms in the areas that we have mentioned.
00:24
While the East Release or the wind from the Pacific Ocean is still affecting the remaining part of Luzon plus Eastern Visayas
00:32
and it is bringing a high chance of rain in the eastern part of Luzon.
00:36
Meanwhile, based on our latest satellite animation,
00:39
we have not yet seen any typhoons in or around our Philippine area of responsibility.
00:46
Today, it is still expected that there will be heavy rains and thunderstorms in the large part of Luzon.
00:51
This is the effect of the East Release.
00:53
There are areas where there is a chance of rain as early as this morning,
00:57
including Mindoro provinces and the province of Romblon.
01:01
By the afternoon, it will be hot and windy in some areas,
01:04
especially in the central Luzon, Ilocos region, Cagayan Valley and even here in Metro Manila.
01:09
By the afternoon, it will be partly cloudy until the sky is still cloudy
01:14
which is accompanied by heavy rains or thunderstorms,
01:17
especially in the eastern side of Luzon, especially here in Quezon and Bicol region.
01:23
The temperature in Metro Manila is expected to rise to 33 degrees
01:27
while in some parts of the eastern part of Luzon, it will be up to 32 degrees Celsius.
01:32
It will be cold in Baguio City up to 24 degrees Celsius only.
01:36
For our fellow Filipinos in Palawan,
01:38
it is expected that there will be heavy rain if the house is left out due to the effect of the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
01:42
There will be heavy rain and thunderstorms that may cause floods and landslides.
01:48
For our fellow Filipinos in Visayas,
01:50
it will be partly cloudy until the sky is still cloudy throughout the day.
01:54
There is a chance of rain in the morning, afternoon and evening,
01:57
especially in the areas of Western Visayas and Negros Island region.
02:02
The temperature in a large part of Visayas and Palawan is expected to rise to 32 degrees Celsius.
02:08
For our fellow Filipinos in the southern portion of Mindanao,
02:10
there are areas that will be flooded due to the effect of the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
02:16
In the morning, there is a high chance of rain in Zamboanga Peninsula.
02:20
There is also a chance of rain in Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi,
02:26
as well as in the areas of Sok Sabjen, Sultan Kudarat, South Cotabato and Sarangani
02:31
up to Davao Occidental.
02:33
There is a high chance of rain.
02:35
Please be careful of floods and landslides.
02:39
In the remaining part of Mindanao,
02:42
in the rest of Sok Sabjen, in the rest of Bangsamoro region and Davao region,
02:46
there is also a high chance of rain due to the effect of the ITCZ.
02:50
There is a chance of rain in the northern part of Mindanao and Karaga region
02:54
which is accompanied by heavy rains or floods.
02:58
The temperature in Zamboanga City is expected to rise to 32 degrees Celsius
03:02
while the temperature in Davao City is expected to rise to 33 degrees Celsius.
03:07
As of today and tomorrow, we do not expect any gale warning or floods.
03:12
Generally, it is expected to be mild up to just above 2 meters
03:16
if there are thunderstorms.
03:18
However, over the weekend, it is possible that there will be floods in the northern Luzon
03:22
and also in the eastern part of Luzon.
03:25
Please stay tuned for our updates.
03:28
As for our three-day weather forecast,
03:31
from Friday to Sunday,
03:32
there is still a high chance of rain in the southern portion of Mindanao.
03:37
We repeated the areas of Zamboanga Peninsula,
03:40
Sok Sabjen, Bangsamoro region and portions of Davao region
03:43
plus Palawan province due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone.
03:48
Our rainfall is not continuous but sometimes it is strong.
03:52
So always stay tuned to our advisories and heavy rainfall warnings if ever.
03:57
Meanwhile, it will also be rainy during the weekend.
04:00
In the northern and eastern parts of Luzon,
04:03
including Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Aurora, Quezon and Bicol region,
04:09
due to the possible return of northeasterly wind flow to Taiwan,
04:13
it is possible for us to have a shear line in the areas of Cagayan Valley
04:17
and then the easterlies will increase in the Bicol region and Quezon.
04:21
So always bring an umbrella if you are going out of the house the next days.
04:24
Meanwhile, for the next three days,
04:27
most parts of our country will have cloudy skies
04:30
accompanied by heavy rains and thunderstorms.
04:34
As for tomorrow and until the weekend,
04:37
there is a possibility of a severe storm outside our Philippine Area of Responsibility,
04:43
possible as a low-pressure area.
04:45
While the earthquake is approaching,
04:47
there is also a chance of a severe storm
04:50
that could enter our Philippine Area of Responsibility early next week.
04:55
And there is no direct effect for the next two to three days.
04:59
So always stay tuned for our updates.
05:02
