00:00 Low pressure continues to dominate our weather.
00:02 That means further spells of wet and windy weather.
00:06 We've seen a lot of rain crossing the country
00:08 through the day from this weather front,
00:10 all tied into this area of low pressure.
00:13 And it's all slowly but surely now heading out
00:16 into the North Sea.
00:17 We do still have Met Office yellow weather rain warnings
00:20 in place until midnight.
00:22 That rain slowly, as I say, heading out into the North Sea,
00:24 lingering across the far northeast of Scotland,
00:26 and particularly the Northern Isles,
00:28 where it stays pretty gusty.
00:29 As the winds ease over central and eastern England,
00:32 could turn quite misty and murky through the early hours,
00:35 a bit of a gray start to Friday.
00:37 Further west, we'll see more showers.
00:39 You can see the low pressure is here,
00:41 and it's just throwing in more showers
00:42 across Northern Ireland, Western Scotland,
00:45 and Wales especially.
00:47 Temperatures falling away a little bit through the night,
00:49 but generally with enough of a breeze
00:51 and fairly cloudy skies,
00:53 most of us will stay above freezing,
00:54 generally about five or six to start Friday,
00:56 certainly in towns and cities.
00:58 Now, as I said, we are likely to start a bit drab
01:01 across the east, a lot of mist and low cloud,
01:03 but that should tend to clear.
01:05 And then I suspect most of the East Midlands,
01:07 eastern England, much of southern England,
01:09 actually having a dry and a bright day on Friday.
01:11 But the closer you are to this low pressure,
01:14 the more likely you are to see showers,
01:16 plenty of them through the day across Northern Ireland,
01:18 basically just a wet day here.
01:19 There'll be rain on and off for southwest Scotland,
01:22 northwest England, much of north Wales too.
01:24 Some of the showers likely to be heavy,
01:26 perhaps even the odd rumble of thunder.
01:29 It'll also be fairly gusty once more.
01:31 And if you're stuck with the frequent showers
01:33 and the gusty winds, it's gonna feel pretty cool,
01:35 even though temperatures for the most part,
01:37 a little bit higher than today's values.
01:39 And in the south with a bit of afternoon, a weak sunshine,
01:42 we could get to 11 or 12 Celsius.
01:45 During the course of Friday evening,
01:46 we'll continue to see the low pressure edging in.
01:48 So showers spiraling around,
01:50 it could turn very wet for a time over southern Scotland
01:53 and northwest England,
01:54 and then down to the southwest,
01:56 another area of rain pushes in through the nights
02:00 with increasingly gusty winds once more.
02:03 Our sky is clear across northern Scotland
02:05 and the winds ease down for a time.
02:06 It could turn quite chilly here actually,
02:08 maybe even some pockets of frost,
02:10 but generally further south with the cloud, the wind,
02:13 and the rain will be a pretty mild start to the weekend,
02:16 but a damp start for a good part of England,
02:19 Wales and Northern Ireland.
02:20 This arc of rain will then just trickle northwards
02:23 into southern and then central Scotland,
02:26 probably grinding to a halt in this zone
02:28 over the far north of England, southern Scotland.
02:30 So a pretty wet day all in all here
02:33 and for parts of Northern Ireland.
02:35 Further south for England and Wales, after a wet start,
02:38 Saturday actually cheering up quite nicely by the afternoon
02:40 with some sunny spells,
02:41 some showers likely in the far southwest,
02:44 showers in the far northeast as well,
02:46 but parts of the far northwest may well
02:48 just stay dry through the day,
02:50 but it's still going to be blustery
02:51 and not particularly pleasant,
02:53 even though in the south we should get into the teens
02:55 with the help of a bit of sunshine,
02:57 but again, stuck under that persistent rain
02:59 with gusty winds, eight or nine Celsius,
03:02 not feeling all that pleasant at all.
03:04 And there'll be further spells of wet and windy weather
03:06 to come during Saturday night and through Sunday.
03:09 One area of low pressure clears away,
03:11 but we're keeping our eyes on this area of low pressure
03:13 'cause it's intensifying as it moves in,
03:15 bringing another spell of rain on Sunday,
03:17 but particularly gusty winds on its southern flank.
03:20 So we need to keep an eye on that.
03:21 We've got plans for Sunday,
03:23 do keep up to date with the forecast.
