00:00Hello there and a very good morning to you on this Wednesday morning, which is fine for
00:04most. There's some clouds around and also some dampness in the air, particularly across
00:08more western parts of Scotland down towards Northern Ireland. High pressure is influencing
00:14the south, but weather fronts always affecting more northern and western areas over the next
00:1824 hours with some clouds and some patchy rain and drizzle. But high pressure will win
00:23the battle in terms of what's happening with our weather. Certainly through Thursday into
00:28Friday, temperatures on the up right across the country with some strong sunshine extending
00:33northwards. 26 to 31 will be your high through Friday afternoon. However, through this morning
00:38you can see where the cloud is as well as some outbreaks of light rain and drizzle. For the
00:43far north of Scotland, western Scotland, particularly the islands as well as the highlands, down
00:48towards the southern uplands as well. And for Northern Ireland it's quite a cloudy start
00:52with some patchy rain and drizzle. Even some spits and spots of rain across the Cumbrian
00:57fells as well as the North Pennines and Snowdonia. But to the south of that we're seeing clear
01:02skies as well as some sunshine. So a fine start to the day across the Midlands, Mid Wales, central
01:08southern England. Now through this morning into this afternoon we watch as the cloud breaks
01:13across eastern Scotland. So you'll see some sunshine coming through. It should brighten up
01:17eventually across Northern Ireland. However, the rain could become a bit more persistent across
01:21the far west of Scotland through the day yet again, with quite a breeze coming across these
01:27parts. But brighter skies emerging across the east of England, much of England and Wales
01:32could hang on to more clouds across south-west Scotland, the far north-west of England through
01:37the afternoon. But some brighter weather to end the day for Northern Ireland and here temperatures
01:41arriving around to 23 degrees Celsius. Mid Wales seeing a 26, 28 for London but 22 across the eastern
01:48side of Scotland helped with some shelter as well as some sunshine. So through this evening
01:54and overnight, many areas seeing a dry evening, some pleasant sunshine. Notice this cloud and
02:00outbreaks of light rain become confined to the far north-west before more clouds just could roll in
02:06across the north-west highlands, the islands as well as the far north of Northern Ireland through
02:11into the early hours of Thursday morning. So perhaps a damp start to the day here elsewhere. Lots of
02:16sunshine pretty much sets the scene for the next few days. Temperatures will slowly increase,
02:21warming up very nicely through Thursday across most parts away from the far north and west. But even
02:26here, you should see some sunshine on Friday. Here are your temperatures then through Thursday
02:31afternoon. 24 for Northern Ireland, 23 for the central belt of Scotland and then we have 24 for places
02:37such as Leeds, 28 for mid Wales, down towards the southeast at 30 degrees Celsius. For the west
02:43country probably around 24 or 25. Your outlook then through Friday, most places seeing good spells of
02:50sunshine as temperatures arrive around 26 to 31 degrees Celsius, warmer still into the weekend. So a heat
02:57wave on its way. See you in a while.
