One of the survivors of a crash in St Melon which saw three young people killed has been charged with drink driving. Shane Loughlin, 32, was stopped by police on Saturday and was charged with multiple driving offences. Loughlin was one of 2 survivors of a crash, where the car veered off the A48 in the early hours of March 4th.

Households in Cardiff and Wrexham have been warned their bin days could be affected by ongoing industrial action, involving public sector workers across England and Wales. Cardiff Council say black bins will not be affected, but residents should check the council website for additional information.

Two people have been taken to hospital after a group of 5 people had to be rescues from the sea near Barry Island. One kayaker and 4 others got into difficulty between Barry Island and Jackson Bay on Sunday evening with the coastguard, police and RNLI both called out for the incident.
