00:00I think the only extinction we should really be worried about is the wall crawlers.
00:04Here's a look at the Hasbro Spider-Man Venom vs. Venom-Saurus-Rex.
00:19Kids can imagine unleashing Venomized web-slinging adventures and battles with their favorite Spider-Man heroes and villains.
00:26Venom-Saurus-Rex has a taste for battling villains.
00:30I think the Hammond would have a harder time keeping his park in check if there was a black-covered carnivore roaming the grounds.
00:36Still, though, let's push forward and grab the tape measure.
00:39Yeah, I know. I can't believe I bought this either.
00:41Found this at my local Walmart. Not that I really want to admit the price.
00:44Okay, I'll admit the price. I paid $39 for this.
00:47$40 for a black T-Rex that has a tongue.
00:50I bought crazier things in the past.
00:52Still, let's go ahead and take the tape measure.
00:53We're going to go from here to here and from here to here.
00:56From the end of its tail to the front of its tongue, you're looking at the T-Rex being 17 inches.
01:02That's pretty long.
01:03That's going to work out to be about 44 centimeters of the same.
01:06Then from the bottom of its feet to the top of either its mohawk or the little black spaghetti things.
01:12Want to go to the top of that? Everybody loves spaghetti.
01:14The spaghetti is going to tell us...
01:16I don't think the spaghetti is telling us anything other than you just spend a fortune for something stupid.
01:21The spaghetti is still going to tell us that Venomsaurus Rax...
01:25I can't even get that all out.
01:26...is going to stand about 7 1⁄4 inches in height or about roughly 19 centimeters tall.
01:31Seem to have been dabbling a lot in dinosaurs lately.
01:34Although from two completely different companies.
01:37Displayed right now in the front, front and center, you can probably already see...
01:40This is the Mattel Jurassic World Rebirth Utah Raptor.
01:44He's not nearly the size of what we're getting here from Hasbro's offering.
01:47Although a Hasbro, I don't know...
01:49I guess from a scale standpoint, a T-Rex would be considerably bigger than a Raptor.
01:53Even if it's a Utah Raptor.
01:55Let's move that off to the side.
01:57I mean, sticking with the same similar line...
01:59Let's bring in a couple of Spider-Man figures.
02:00We've looked at a couple of these as of late.
02:02Just in case you're also curious, I didn't just get the Venomsaurus Rex.
02:05I got a couple of other Spider-Man.
02:07Why am I so obsessed with this line as of late?
02:09But here's also what the Venomsaurus Rex looks like along with Spidey.
02:12And of course, Venom as well.
02:15The mildest amount of assembly is required when you get Venomsaurus out of his cardboard prison.
02:19The only thing that you really have to install is the tail on the back of his body.
02:22Just because, again, he's a little bit more compact when you get him in the packaging.
02:26Then you just have to make him a little bit longer.
02:29I think this is one of those cases, too, that really, once you get the tail on the back,
02:32there's no real way that you're going to get this off.
02:34If it's really on there, to the point where I know it's that kind of plastic,
02:38you know that kind of plastic, that once things go together, they're never meant to be apart.
02:43Oh, isn't that so romantic?
02:45Even though we're really kind of talking about symbiote dinosaurs.
02:48So once that's all in place, this is a pretty hard plastic.
02:51It's really not much, really, in the way of posability on this figure.
02:54I guess the sell of this is the fact we get ourselves a Venomsaurus dinosaur.
02:58It does have, of course, all the markings of what Venom would be.
03:02Although, in this case, it looks really less like a spider.
03:05So let's grab Venom's symbol just to match.
03:08I wouldn't even say this is an apples-to-apples sort of scenario.
03:11Clearly, Venom is trying to at least make this look like a spider.
03:15I don't really know what's going on here.
03:17I mean, it kind of gives more of the impression it looks more like a kind of weird-looking butterfly.
03:23It's one of those inkblot tests.
03:26What are they called?
03:27Rorschachs.
03:28Rorschachs, thank you.
03:29Where you look at the little, you know, staining of ink and you try to guess for yourself what exactly that is.
03:34My guess would be, and I don't know if that's a reflection of my psyche, I would say a deformed butterfly.
03:40Maybe.
03:41It also kind of looks a little bit like the roots of a tree.
03:43I'm going to stick with butterfly, though.
03:44So it doesn't really look at all like a spider.
03:46You get a few little of these squiggly squigs on the top there as well.
03:49But the biggest thing is the fact that this Venomsaurus rex does have, again, like the little white areas around his eyes and this really weird-looking mohawk
03:57mohawk.
03:58No, no.
03:59The mohawk did not need to be installed.
04:01It was already part of this.
04:02Also was the tongue.
04:03I didn't have to do anything at all.
04:04You saw at the beginning of this review.
04:06The tongue is very rubbery and plastic.
04:09Venoms, to be fair, also was a very rubbery plastic.
04:11It's not really quite the same color.
04:13Not that we really want to pretend that Venoms now turned into a dino.
04:16But it is a very rubbery, kind of very elastic-y kind of tongue.
04:20And it's always hanging out of his mouth.
04:23If this guy does actually talk, he would probably be always talking like he's got his tongue thickening out.
04:29I'm sure there's a joke there somewhere about Mike Tyson.
04:31The teeth, though, on the top and on the bottom aren't all white, which is probably a good thing, too.
04:36There's so much white on this figure anyways, if you really want to call this a figure,
04:40that I think by making the teeth top and bottom white, too, I think there's just too much.
04:44Nice and off-yellow color looks a lot better, I think, honestly.
04:48Yes, you probably have already noticed the mouth does open and close.
04:50You don't have to do what I'm doing right now for him to do that.
04:53There's actually a button right on the back here.
04:55Between the mohawk and the spaghetti, there's a button right here that you press,
05:00and that's the thing that opens and closes his mouth.
05:02Man, I really wish this thing could have had some sound effects.
05:06I don't really know what it would have actually been able to say.
05:09Does this thing speak? I don't know, or does it just growl?
05:12I'm a little, unfortunately, annoyed by the fact that it looks so nice on one side,
05:16and the moment you spin this around, you can see all these gross, visible screws.
05:21I mean, obviously, that's the way that this toy company had to take the two halves of the dinosaur
05:25and make them together, but unfortunately, though, the tradeoff is that
05:29you really only want to have the dinosaur on one side.
05:32The moment you start to turn anything around on him, he gets ugly, and he gets ugly real fast.
05:37Some probably would have already said, he got ugly a long time ago, my friend.
05:41Yeah, I don't really love the screw holes.
05:43They're just a bit more of a nuisance than anything else.
05:45They're eyesores. I'll call it that. They're eyesores.
05:49So at least when it comes to displaying this thing, yes, I will be on my shelf.
05:52I'm going to be looking to display this thing.
05:54Well, let's get the legs, first of all, the right way.
05:57I'm going to have it looking like this.
05:59Now, there is some levels of posability, very little, though.
06:02It's one of those cases that if you blink, you'll miss it completely.
06:05The Venomsaurus Rex, for example, does have hinges on his legs.
06:09If you're familiar at all with dinosaurs, you know that they're designed in a way
06:13that the legs have to be always a certain way, where one leg is sort of in front of the other.
06:18The moment you bring them close together like this, it's going to throw off the balancing,
06:23and then the dinosaur always will end up falling on its tail.
06:25So even though it gives you the idea that there is some posability, who are we kidding?
06:29You're going to be locked in, always having it in a certain pose.
06:32Hey, wait a minute, humbled reviewer.
06:34Does it just mean that his legs are the only thing that moves on him?
06:37What about his arms?
06:38Ha ha ha!
06:40No.
06:41No, well, the arms do only subtly, though.
06:44This is to the extent of really what the arms could do.
06:46It's actually funny, though, that on one side, the arm does a little bit more than the other.
06:51This arm almost looks like it's too close to the rest of his body.
06:54I keep feeling like I want to bring this out, but the problem with it, though, is it's got
06:58this, I don't know if that's a bulge or a vein.
07:00Stop that.
07:01But there's a bulge right there that's causing this arm not being able to move.
07:06If it wasn't for that, if it was smooth like on the other side, I could at least be able
07:10to do this.
07:11Not that the small arms would really be allowing this dinosaur to do much of anything.
07:14It's not like he'd be able to grab you at all with his tiny, tiny little arms.
07:18These hands and arms remind me of the butler from Scary Movie.
07:22Grab my strong hand.
07:25So yeah, there's not much that you can really do on this side.
07:28There's certainly a lot more that you can do on this side.
07:29And of course, we can't overlook the fact he's got these little squiggly spaghettis
07:34all sticking out the top of his back.
07:37Now, this does look like it is a separate piece that they probably would have glued to
07:40the top of his body.
07:41I would imagine, though, you probably can see right there.
07:44There's this strip of soft plastic that has the spaghetti attached to it.
07:48Stop calling it spaghetti.
07:49That would have probably been glued right there.
07:51And don't pull it off.
07:52Like if you pull it off, you're only just going to damage the toy.
07:55And why would you want to do that?
07:57All in all, though, I mean, it's a it's a ridiculous concept.
08:00The fact that Venom is a Venom, the dinosaur, I guess the Venom has the symbiote has wrapped
08:05itself around this carnivore and has produced this.
08:08So I guess it's not that realistic.
08:11Well, it's not that far of a realistic idea to take yourself a Venom.
08:16Let's go all out with this and we'll just take Venom and put him on top of the dinosaur.
08:20Wahoo!
08:20You can say, I don't think Venom would really ever say that.
08:23And he can ride around on the T-Rex.
08:24I guess there is.
08:26I'm assuming that they're sharing symbiotes.
08:28Maybe a little bit of Venom found its way onto the T-Rex.
08:31Maybe again, Venom is the T-Rex.
08:32Either way, it's a stupid toy.
08:34But it's it's through its stupidity.
08:37There's some fun to be said for the fact that I'm picking myself up a dinosaur that was
08:41between 30 to 40 dollars.
08:43I feel like it's more into the later 30s and closer to 40s.
08:47I spent 40 dollars to get a plastic T-Rex that doesn't really do much.
08:51I mean, what he's doing is what he's doing right now.
08:53Yeah, his mouth does open and close.
08:55So at least that's a feature.
08:56It doesn't growl.
08:57It would have been nice if it could have actually done that.
09:00And what little posability it actually has at its possession is more really in its legs.
09:04Its arms is tiny, tiny little arms.
09:06You can't really do much of anything at all with it.
09:08What it's doing again, it's very limited.
09:11But I think if you like the idea of Venom being things and Venom, you know, just Venom's
09:16a cool character.
09:17Does it make for a cool dinosaur?
09:19Some would say yes.
09:20Some would say no.
09:20I'm sort of sitting somewhere in the middle.
09:23Yes, I am.
09:24That's the answer, by the way.
09:25Your question was going to be, do you have plans to have Venom displayed on your shelf
09:28riding bareback the symbiote dinosaur?
09:31Yes, I will be doing that right away.
09:33The thing about it, though, is I still don't understand how the story has played out.
09:37Has part of Venom's symbiote found its way onto the dinosaur?
09:41Has the dinosaur now all of a sudden adapted the ability to speak a language?
09:45Does symbiotes automatically do that?
09:47Like, if it was to wrap itself around a Venom frog, would a frog be able to speak a language
09:52or would it just keep saying ribbit?
09:54The dinosaur wouldn't, though, say ribbit.
09:56Instead, because it's got a hanging out tongue, everything would sound like it's basically a
10:01guy's tongue hanging out.
10:03One functioning feature, at least, of the dinosaur is you press the button where, unfortunately,
10:08Venom is sitting on right now.
10:09But you press the button and his mouth chompy chomps.
10:11The only other thing that the dinosaur does do is it does move its legs, which obviously
10:15is going to throw off the stability of it, and it does move its stumpy little arms.
10:19Well, sorry, it moves one arm.
10:21It doesn't move the other because somebody at Hasbro decided, I think we're going to sculpt
10:25the part of his torso in the way.
10:27Let's just block completely this arm with the functioning feature to move.
10:32So really, while he can, in theory, have moving arms, it really is only one arm that
10:37can actually do that.
10:38But, yeah, $38, I think it was.
10:42In fact, it was $39.97 that I spent for this monstrosity at my local Walmart.
10:47Some would say you probably could have spent $40 elsewhere.
10:50I would say, nay.
10:52I'm happy with my Venomized dinosaur.
10:55VenomSaurus Rex, what do you guys think of this?
10:57Let me know down below in the comment section.
10:58Have you guys picked this one up also as well?
11:00Or do you think that this is, yes, just a hard, hard pass.
11:04You stupid reviewer, you spent the money on a Venomized T-Rex.
11:09If you guys did enjoy this video, please do it a stall and throw it a like.
11:12You guys want to stick around for more so?
11:14I hope so.
11:15Even though we are kind of wrapping up things right now, in the world of Jurassic Park,
11:19not so Jurassic Park, but they're all actually going to be some more Venom versus figures
11:24coming your way.
11:24Because at the time that I picked up VenomSaurus Rex, I did want to get the review out for
11:28him right away.
11:29I did actually pick up a couple of other Spider-Man figures from this line too, and those will
11:33be coming your way in upcoming videos.
11:35So making sure you're coming back with Dino Peepers Peeled.
11:39Ouch!
11:40As always, thanks for watching.
11:41See you guys next time.
