LUCKNOW: Police arrested Roshni Khan (25) and her lover Udit Jaiswal (32) for murdering Roshni’s six-year-old daughter, Sona, in Khandari Bazaar.
On Sunday night, Sona woke up to find her mother and Udit in a "compromising state." When Sona threatened to expose them to her father, Shahrukh, Roshni pinned the child down while Udit suffocated her.
The duo hid Sona’s body in a bed box, booked a hotel room in Hussainganj, and partied for 36 hours as the corpse decomposed. Roshni later called police, falsely blaming Shahrukh.
CCTV footage traced the pair to the hotel. Udit confessed during interrogation, revealing they killed Sona to silence her. Both are in custody as public outrage mounts.
