JAMMU — A shameful incident was caught on CCTV at GMC Jammu’s emergency ward, where angry relatives of a deceased patient physically assaulted female doctors, alleging medical negligence.
The CCTV footage shows an argument escalating into violence, with one woman kicking a female doctor in the stomach while others hurled abuses and manhandled the staff. The hospital administration has initiated an internal inquiry.
Doctors condemned the attack, calling it a daily fear they work under and demanded strict action against the accused. Many questioned why security guards remained passive during the assault and demanded better protection for healthcare workers.
Doctors have since staged a strike, demanding justice and safety at the workplace.
